Happy Thursday my friends!
This weeks seems to be going pretty fast..... I think ;)
I know it is dragging for Scott. He has NJ ASK tests this week. 4 periods of standardized testing. Ugh.
Another curious question for Sally- you don't have to do state standardized testing do you?
That in itself would make homeschooling worthwhile in my book. I despise Stand.Testing and hate how No Child Left Behind works with it.

/end rant

On another note, every year on this day, I need to say a quick prayer and blow a kiss to heaven. My nephew Jake died in utero in 1997.

So dija every have a day where you felt like Linda Blair and your brain just spun in circles? That was me yesterday. I fought with my computer, with a web store that I am building, I couldn't concentrate on anything, and everything was wonky- ack!

Today I am working at MIL's so I hope that I can be "brainless" yet accomplish something at the same time Just call me the Scarecrow- if I only had a brain LOL

Woo hoo Joslyn! keep on dilating! I total hear ya on Spring being a great season- I feel the same way about fall. it gets hard to appreciate its beauty when you know what nastiness of winter is coming~ says the faery that is cold in anything under 60* :D

Dawn, you made my day! Thank you so much!!! You should have seen me wandering around the house yesterday- by late afternoon, I was a cranky b**** LOL

ME- Sorry to hear about the kitchen mess. But when it is all done it is going to feel great!

Sandra- hope your headache is better today!

Clara- OMG- I could have written your post about your mom. My mom is the same -doesn't really drink and doesn't smoke, but will *not* go to the dr. She is 66 and has never had a mammo. Doesn't go for gyn visits, nothing! I keep telling her how much I need her healthy, I use the grandkids as guilt trips.... nothing works.
Awww, love hearing about sweet family moments!

LindaP- aw, thanks! I could name that many at least about you too :)

Hi Sally!!! Have you been able to peel Cora away from her iTouch? LOL

Oh Donna- what a crazy week. I'll def. be thinking good thoughts for you.

Clara- that pirate was too funny- but yeah, I had to change it back too LOL

Hi Sara!!!

Dawn- I am so sorry to hear this. It must be so hard to witness this. What love this family must have. Hugs to you sweetie!

Kelly!!! The camera is here!!! YAY!!!!!!
Have fun with it!!!

And that all I have time to write for now.

Love you all!

Morning lovelies :). I'm catching up on personals from Wed.

Mary Ellen-oooh a revamped kitchen!!! Fun! I bet it will be great when it's finished. Be sure to post some pics so we can ooh and ahh over it :).

Sandra-I hope your headache is better and you feel better today! (((hugs)))

Clara-so sorry about your friend's mom, I remember you telling us about her before :( so sad. So cute what you daughter did, guess she knew mom needed a little love :).

Hi LindaP! It's rainy and yucky here, too. Ugh, LOL.

Sally-Happy to see you any time of the day :)!

Hi Donna-prayers headed your way

Hi Sara!! good to see you :).

Kelly-eeeek!!! your new cam!! I bet you are walking on air, LOL. I can't wait to see some pics with it :).

I'll be back later for Thursday's personals :).

Good morning!

I think I have emerged from my scrap drought - have done 2 lo's in the past 2 days. Felt great.

Chris - good luck to Scott with the tests. Those don't sound fun at all. Thinking of you.

Dawn - hope you have an awesome day, dear!

Love to you all.

good morning... I've been sitting around catching up on As the World Turns... got behind last week with all the cleaning LOL... I still have a couple of pieces for a blog train I'm doing this weekend... but other than that its a rainy day so not much going on...

Chris - it is better today... thanks, hon! KY just got rid of our the standard testing (CATS) we've been doing... not sure what they're replacing it with though!

Dawn - it is, and today is an okay day... thanks, hon (((hugs)))!

Hi ME!

have a great day, everyone!

Whoohoo!! I get to order my new camera today!!! Whoohoo!!!!! I am so unbelievably excited. I just have to wait for an answer from the seller and I am buying it. Hopefully the answer will save me $50. Whoohoo!!

I got my answer and I hit "BUY!" Thank goodness for mortgage companies screwing up and sending me money!! Whoohoo!!!

OKay...so I am going to actually write now. Now that I can sit still and write. heehee!! I am a little bit giddy about my camera. I did decide on the Nikon D60 after taking your advice and going to the store and checking them all out. I liked the feel of the Nikon much better. Yay!!

So last night Ethan had his first belt testing for Taekwondo. He was so darn cute. He is so little and he can do the splits. Holy Moly!! He does the middle splits like a pro. What I wouldn't have given to be able to do the splits so easily when I was so much younger and doing gymnastics and all that. Crazy kid. But he broke his first board, of course he kicked the board with his toe first and it hurt a little bit but then he kicked it and it broke right in half. He was so excited about it. Of course the boards they buy are meant to break, but still. It was cool. I'll be putting pics and video on my blog today. I had to reformat some videos first so that they were not sideways. It was awesome to watch him though.

Today is Thursday. I love Thursday because the evil provider isn't in today. Yay!! My computer system has been down for a few days so thankfully everything is up and ready to go today. I love that the hospital I work for doesn't use film in x-ray...everything is digital but we use so many software programs that if one of them gets a glitch you can't do anything. I use 5 different software programs for my job. It is ridiculous. Why can't they come up witha program that all services in the hospital can use. they do have one program that can bring most of it together but only for viewing. It is crazy. I have a program for admitting, ordering x-rays, taking x-rays, editing x-rays, and viewing x-rays, labs and various other paperwork. It is insane. The admitting program was down this week which is where I have to start so I could take x-rays but had no folders to put the x-rays in to view them. Plus once a hospital switches to a digital system you can't pull out the old film and take x-rays on film instead. They get rid of everything for that process. Plus now we have no place to store film since everything is archived off site and then scanned if we need it for something. It is just crazy. So now that you know more than you ever needed to know or even cared about x-ray...I'll move on.

Tonight I'll be headed over to my friend's house to see if there is anything I can do for them tonight. I hope so. They have so much to do between sorting things, cleaning and planning a memorial. I can't even begin to imagine all the emotional things they must be going through and then adding all the work that has to be done. It is overwhelming to even think about it and it wasn't even my mom.

Well, I didn't do personals yesterday. bad Clara!! So I will definately today.

Chris - I also hate the testing and Ethan doesn't even have to do it yet. I have heard more stories of kids not knowing how to do simple math stuff because they are too busy learning how to do the math for the testing. I have also heard of people writing opinionated papers, especially about religious views that get low scores. It is horrible. I don't understand how that is helping anyone. I do agree that there needs to be occasional testing to see if kids are at grade level and things like that but it has gotten out of control. I hate it. Oh, and I have head spinning days all the time. you are so not alone in that.

Hi Dawn!! I hope you have a fantastic day!!

ME - Yay for emerging from the depths of scraplessness. Glad to have you back in the gallery. I saw your LO for Gen. So cute. I love it.

Sandra - Enjoy your stories thismorning. I hope you got to sit back and watch it with a big cup of coffee or hot cocoa and a warm blanket. I'm in a sni=uggle up with a warm blanket kind of mood today.

Sally - Your boy is still in the running on AI!! Whoohoo. Those are my fave 4 that are in the top 4 now. Unlike you, I do LOVE Adam...a bit more than Danny but I LOVE Allison and Chris too. I will totally buy anything they come out with. Chris is just so Jack Johnson/John Mayer and I love it. Allison is just a rock star.

Kelly - I want my camera so bad now!!! ONly a few days. 1-3 days. Not horrible. Hopefully it will get in the mail today.

Hi all....oh my in such a packing frenzy right now....just wanted to pop in to wish everyone a fabulous day!!!! Will stop back later when I can get the world to slow down for a minute...is that possible????

Sandra, I'm bettin' you didn't miss much of ATWT...i used to watch it years and years ago before I gave up soap operas for lent (that would be daytime soaps...still hopelessly addicted to Greys' and private practice). I'm thinking if i tuned in today, I'd still know who was who and all!! LOL!!! gotta love the soaps!! :) hope your day is FAB, dahlink!

Clara!!! OMGosh!! did you just die with the results last night???? We were sooooo screamin'!! Sorry that screamer boy is at the bottom of my list!! but "my guy"...*sigh*...can't wait for him to win...I'd actually be okay if Kris won!! I love his unique style, too!! Jack Johnson/John Mayer is the perfect way to describe him!! *sigh* i'm such an Idol addict...

well, i guess I should teach a bit of fractions here to my dear 4th grader!! I love you all!!! hope everyone has a blast today!! and one more day til TGIF!! yay!!!!!!

HI ME.....glad you came out of your scrap drought! Hows the kitchen!

HI Kat Sally and Sandra!!
Clara- YAYYYYYYYYY!!!! So psyched for you!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a great day ladies!

Sally - It would be sooooooooooo cool to take a photo class together. I can see us wandering around town taking pics as group with people staring at us wondering who that group of ladies is with all the cameras.

**RANT ALERT**
So, I just wanted to throw in a little something extra here. I am sure I have told you all before that my sister is a social worker and is now a supervisor. Well, right now there is a huge media event involving one of her cases. Be careful when you watch the news about these types of things. The news has become so biased and leaves out so much of the story. In this case the bio family wouldn't comment on the case so they made them out to be these horrible people while the foster family is being made out to be saints and the victims in this situation. It just sucks because the system did make mistakes but aren't the enemy either. I am so frustrated with the way the media has gone. The worst part of my frustration in all of this is that I love to read People magazine and hear all the stories of the stars and I know how embellished and one sided that can be too. Why do we think other people's lives are so interesting that they become entertainment? It is horrible, especially when I know I am one of the people the media has turned for.

**end rant**

Kelly and Sally - My dh love Danny too and I think he's adorable but he is just not my guy. I really like Adam and all his theatrics (is that a word?). I think he is amazingly talented and his screaming is well placed. Mariah Carey made quite the living screaching. I just love the top 4 though. They were who I would have placed in the top 4 for sure. Danny just doesn't do it for me. I think he's too...pretty maybe. I don't know. I just don't feel it. Don't have that "Connection." lol

Sorry guys...I am really gabby today. I just can't seem to put the keyboard away. I have plenty else to do but instead I just keep typing. aaaaaah. I am closing this window now for a little while.
