Chris hope all is well cause I beat you here!

Good morning!
Oh my GOODNESS, I had a crazy day yesterday. I was supposed to be working at MIL's today0 I am taking today off (well, sort of, I have to WAH instead) and am going to work tomorrow at her house.
I'll be back in a bit- but I wanted to say hi, and that my ToT is to drink a huge bottle of vodka, on the couch, watching silly movies, in my pj's all day!!

Awe....Laurie....the O was already your home...but CONGRATS sweetie!!!

I have been such a slacker lately....stupid RL!!!

Chris....sweetie....I called Ona and told her to send you that bottle...she said it was empty, but she would go buy another one and send it your way :D (((Hugs))) Hope you have a better day!!!!

I had a crazy day yesterday too!! I had a to do list about a mile long....So I was trying to take care of as much as possible!!!

So my little "fuss box" Savannah is sitting up now and she seems to be MUCH happier....YAY!!! two days this week she has taken good naps too. So that helps too. We shall see what happens....

I have about 30 people coming on Sunday for this cookout for Jamie (step daughter). I think I told you that she wanted a family cookout for her wedding shower. Time is just flying by...and the wedding will be here before we know it. I need to buy a dress. UGH!!! I hate spending money on stuff like that....I will never use it again!!! I may end up using one from the closet!!

So my weekend is all sewn up on this event...Saturday I have to clean all day and go grocery shopping for the food...and get some of the cooking done. Then Sunday morning...finish up and be ready by 1. Good news is that it's suppose to be really nice outside!! So hopefully the kids will get to stay outdoors!!

I got my hair done yesterday evening...YAY!!!!!!!!!!! I feel so much better!!!! I was feeling so blah..It's amazing how this helps!!! It was WAYYYYYYYYYYY overdue!!! It's funny when I get done....the girl who does my hair will walk up to the counter with me and always tells them something different than what she actually did, so it won't cost me as much...LOL....and the girl ringing it up always looks (stares) at my head like "I know she did something else"....it feels so CRIMINAL!! LOL!!!! But it always saves me about $20. I think she is just very appreciative of her loyal customers!!

Okay...I better get off of here...I have got to get busy!!! TOP OF THE LIST WASHING!!! YUCK!!! Would someone please find that machine that sorts washes and folds laundry by itself!!!

(((((((HUGS)))))))

Hey ladies! Yesterday was one of those days I was just running around trying to put out fires everywhere. Some of them I got put out, others.. I wasn't so lucky. But today seems much better so far.

First off, Vince called yesterday morning at 3 wanting our online banking password. Um, don't you have that already, Sweetie? So I gave it to him, but of course he called back telling me it was wrong. No, the password was right, he just entered the wrong account number. Haha. Anyway, the reason he wanted in to the account information was that he got a call from the finance department saying that we owed the army $4000 they gave him last year to pay for a hotel room they were having him stay in. So he was trying to get the records to show where the money went. I talked to him later and told him that I think he needs to get in touch with the people who sent him there. Anyway, sounds like a big mess and it is. I'm sure Clara can identify: unfortunately, soldiers are terrible record keepers, and one hand never knows what the other hand is doing. *sigh* So it all too often comes down to the soldier to prove that he or she doesn't owe something. At least this time they told him beforehand. Usually what happens is you just have a really short paycheck, and you have to figure out why.

Later in the day, my son Quinn called me in tears (he's 20- so this is a big deal) because when he went to get plates for the car I gave him, they told him that we need to get a notary to sign off on the title transfer, which somebody over the phone had previously told him he didn't need. So he was all worried thinking that he wasn't going to be able to use the car, and he would be out all this money he paid to get the insurance. But I was able to get him on our policy as an out of state student and it's only going to cost $20/mo. Happy to be able to solve that problem.

Sigh. Stress, stress, stress. Luckily I didn't get too bogged down in it. I'm just trusting that everything is going to turn out okay. :-)

I really need to scrap! Hahaha!

Have a great day you all! XOXOXO

Andrea....I am sorry this is happening to you sweetie!! The govt...ughh!!! I hope everything turns out okay!!! and YAY for being able to fix Quinn's problem so easily!!!

Try not to stress too much!! IT's not good for you!!

The closest I can relate to this situation is a few years ago, we mailed in our state tax return, we owed that year, but it was less than $50...and someone had told me if you owed less than a $100, and did not pay it, they would forgive it....which I found out later to be true in certain instantances...so I did not mail a check with it. Well, turns out they never recieved it!! and three years later they sent us a notice DH's paycheck was going to be garnished for $6000!!! I freaked out!!! First off, HOW would we owe $6000 in state taxes??? I figured it up and we would have had to make $400,000 to owe that much!! HA!! I wish!!...but I pulled my copy, remailed and all was good!! But major heart attack for a bit...because they were going to take his entire paycheck until it was paid in full!!!

Good morning ladies!! I have been away for a couple of days helping my mother-in-law with her church craft and bake sale. It was fun to talk to people that I have not seen for years. Sad that the church is not doing so well, poor attendance and no young blood in the congregation. But the sale went fairly well and we had a lot of laughs. Andrea sorry that you are having trouble with your gov't. My son and daughter in law are both in the Canadian Military and she constantly has trouble with her maternity leave benefits. Good thing she takes great care of her finances or they would be in trouble!
Nana Linda...isn't it great how a good haircut can change the way you feel!! Sounds like your Hairdresser is a keeper!! It would be wonderful if all we had to do is throw the dirty laundry at the washer and it would do the rest!!! I am having a wash day today also, so should get at it. Hope everyone has a great day and looking forward to scrapping this afternoon!!

EEEK Linda that's horrifying! I have faith that this will be solved, hopefully before they start taking it out of his check. The whole thing was a mess right from the start. Before he left for that trip, he was supposed to have a Department of Defense credit card for expenses and a rental car so nobody had to keep track of anything, but somebody messed up, and there was no car for him to pick up when he went where he was supposed to go, and no credit card waiting for him when he got there. The whole month he was there they never got it straightened out. So the day before he had to check out, they had to emergency wire him $4000, and clearly nobody made note of why he got it.

So I'm not surprised they are trying to figure out what happened, and I am just trying to be calm and confident that it will all get straightened out, hopefully WITHOUT ME.

Andrea - all I can say right now is open another bank account and send as much of your money into an allotment as possible. that will hopefully protect your money so that the Army can't take all of it at one time until Vince can get it fixed. I hate that. Army finance is such a pain. I do believe that any money sent out in allotments can't be garnished and that can all be done through mypay. you could maybe even do that if you have a savings account set up through your checking account. Just a thought for you to do a quick fix that is easy to fix back. I am always messing with Derek's money with USAA and stuff and his other bank accounts...well not anymore since it is going everywhere we want it now, but for awhile until we got it set up how we wanted it. Mypay makes it so easy now and you can do it all on the computer and don't have to go through PAC any more...I remember one time we tried to set up an automatic payment for a car payment through PAC and our entire paycheck (by that I mean Derek's entire paycheck of course) ended up paying off the car. It was not cool. All because we marked the wrong box and the PAC didn't look at it before filing it. Good luck!!

Okay ladies, no real time, I just wanted to see what was going on and saw andrea's little situation here and wanted to say something...so I'll just say hi real quick. I'll chat more tomorrow. I can't wait to play tomorrow. Whoohoo!! See ya domani!!
