Its too early. It was along bad day yesterday, which was the second bookend to a long bad Monday, which makes for a long bad week. I am really dragging my butt, but at least i am up and at 'em for a good cause. I can't wait to go see my baby! There nothing else like being rejuvenated from a bad week than holding a baby. Especially since that baby is not mine and I am not required to do anything else other than hold/feed/change him.:D

Cait is off to a grandma/granddaughter shopping trip for her b-day. My mom took her shopping and out to lunch last year too. That girl of mine doesn't like anything typical of teenager clothing and is impossible to shop for. (If you have seen the pics of her in the gallery- no surprise, eh? LOL). We get along great, until we try to go shopping so its a gift to me as well, since I don't have to deal with it!. Then my mom will drop her back off with me and my baby so she can spend time with her cousin. we're going to sleep over and have breakfast w/ my brother. Then homeward bound on Sunday. Gary can plop himself in front of football and I am taking tomorrow to scrap.

I have to post this- Cait was out late last night doing 4-H stuff, and is not getting out of bed.....*sighs*

I'll try to make it back for personals....... but if not, love and hugs to you all.

Quick personals while I try to inhale this coffee w/o burning my lungs hahhahah!

Maureen, thanks for your thoughts/prayers.
Lucky you- NYC in that pouring rain! not fun. Hope it gets better. What other fun stuff do you have planned in NYC? Any shows? I love the city!
And what are the Naked City Tales?

Sal- you know it is all about Clara and I. If you want to take part in that, you know that you have to move to EST!
For the newer folks- Clara used to live PST and I live EST so would would split the time that the world revolved around each of us. Its much easier now that she shares EST with me even though she hates it LOL
have fun with your quilt! I really wished you lived up here, I would love to see what you and my MIL could come up with together. You two are the most creative people I know. patient too since quilting and sewing is so darn frustrating hahah!

Argh! Catzilla is here.... let me post this, pet her for a bit and be back.

Clara- How is Ethan today? Were you able to get him seen by the ped? Hope that you both had a better day as it went along.
Eep! beeping ehd's don't sound good, no pun intended. Do you have it backed up? Good luck, I'd hate to lose my ehd.

Hi heather and welcome!!!!

Carol- hope that your wireless comes back quickly. That must be hard for your mom, she is lucky that you spend good time with her. TGIF back to you :)

Phyllis- lalalalalala! I can't hear you! OK, I promise (maybe) to not have coffee when I reschedule my bloodwork. Although I know that my sugar levels tend to run on the low side. Gary has Type 1 and I have a history of low blood sugar, so I keep one of his spare meters around in case I feel weird. It was pretty severe when I was pg with Caitlyn, hitting low 40's which my OB told me very calmly could hurt the baby. Gee, thanks dude. he also told me when I asked him about ctx I was having at 7 months to "not go into labor." What a guy.

Sun is shining in Scotland this morning - cold, but blue skies and autumnal colours, the kind of days I love! Victoria is visiting from London for the weekend and Sara has also just popped in so we can all go for a girly coffee - it's fabulous when I can spend time with my daughters together  Tomorrow we add Granny and Auntie to the mix for lunch, hectic weekend but oh so nice!!!

Hope you girls all have a good weekend! Maureen, I'm so jealous - I love NYC, even in the rain LOL!!!

It's 5;30 in the morning, still dark outside. It's warm and I have the slidding glass door open to get some of the cool breaze from outside inside.....it's been a cool Summer for us here in San Jose so I can't complain, but I'm so ready for the Fall weather to start....I'm sure I've mentioned over and over again how Fall is my favorite season....;>)

The warm colors and cooler weather is something I look forward to each year.

Have a great day ladies!

still in my jammies at 10:45. honestly. i need to get a life. i've been taking care of computer posts and doing a little scrapping since about 8 (with a load of laundry thrown in, just so i can appear to have been actually DOING something when my husband comes back from the library....)

Heather, you've landed with the right crowd in this post. coffee's a must!
Chris--i get to hold a baby today, too! i'm counting on the rejuvenative powers of that. LOW blood sugar isn't a problem i have. Type 2. that's me.
Fiona. sun?? REALLY???
Frani, wish i could be in a climate like San Jose!
Laurie, hope you have a better day.

OK. off to actually GET busy. have a happy day, everyone!

Hi ladies....just to let you all know....I used to do big long personals everyday....but my life is so chaotic that I don't have much time to get in here, let alone give you all the proper love you deserve....that's why I usually leave you with a big hug and kiss before I go!!! I do read all of your posts though...and I think you are all such amazing women!!!!!!

Hopefully one day I will get back to a normal routine!!!:violin:

Well....Traci has the kids all day today...so I am trying to cram as much into 12 hours as I can....and it started with getting my hair done...WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!! I need to mop floors and vacuum....but that's it for housework....

I plan to scrap and take a nap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW ABOUT THAT??? It's like a party for me!!!! I have made two pages all month and it's killing me!!!!!! for the newer family members.....I have scrapped EVERY DAY for the last 2 1/2 years until about 3 or 4 months ago.....and usually 2 pages or more a day!!!! YES YES.....I have no life!!!

Anyway.....I hope everyone is going to have a FABULOOOOOOOOOOOOSOOO weekend!!!

LOTS OF LOVE TO YOU ALL!!!

Hey Fiona,
My sister is stationed in Paisley with the Army and she has been so down about the weather since she moved there. She'll be happy to see some sunshine.

Sunny here- heading into work to play catchup, then home to enjoy my husband. His sister is very near the end- probably some time this weekend. Prayers for his sister, her only son and the fiance who has been holding it all together- she is in TX and most of the Family is in NY- my husband is not close with his sister, and I doubt he will call and say any last goodbyes. His sister has always looked out for herself above others and even yesterday was cursing the doctors at the hospital. So that's my tough spot for the weekend. I'm going to buy Anna's new offering and play to cheer my self up.

Been a busy day for me! No rest for the weary!

Just to fill you in from the post yesterday or it could have been the day before. I had foot surgery two weeks ago. I had not one but two morton's neuroma's in both of my feet. Have had them for years and just lived with it but it finally got so bad last year I just had to do something about it. So--this year I started seeing the doctor and went through all of the treatment--injections every month or so, changing shoes, soaking the feet, getting bigger shoes---you name it, I did it. Finally the doctor decided surgery was the only option--actually I wanted the surgery the first of the year. But he made me to through all of that treatment. Had the worst foot operated on 9/9, stitches out yesterday. Two weeks wearing a boot--now that was stylish. I'm walking in flip flops--the only shoes I can wear because of the other foot! Barely walking mind you. It is getting better every day and can't wait for full recovery---hope it worked! There is a chance the surgery is not successful. As soon as the left foot recovers, I have to have the right foot done, probably the end of October.

So--I sort of over did it today. Worked for a couple of hours. Went to the grocery store. Put all that stuff away. Oil change in my car. Stopped at the nursery and bought fertilizer for the yard. Wal Mart for paper products etc. Oh--and flu shot at Wal Mart. Now I am beat!!

The good thing---nothing to do tomorrow but work on a speech, church, and scrap!

Wow Terry, glad you have a slow day tomorow! Take it easy on yourself and your little tootsies.

We are only on day 2 of our week in NYC, and I'm not sure we'll make it through all 7! Meaning we walked and walked and walked ...oh and a bit of eating too! DH is being a real trouper since he too has foot issues but his arch supports are working pretty well. It's the temps of mid 70s with high humidity that's really getting to us but at least no rain today. Today is about the first time I can recall that dh getting back to our 'hotel' went to take a shower mid afternoon.

We are staying in a timeshare place that is a full one bedroom apt/flat. Mini kitchen but with all the food in NYC, I'm not cooking. We spent most of the day in Brooklyn, at the Smoregesburg, a foodmarket in the Williamsburg area. We arrived at 10 only to find out it was not a farmers' market but a market of prepared food vendors. I thought I had died and gone to heaven! We took the ferry back to Manhattan and the walk from the river up to 6th avenue pushed us over the edge.

So there is my daily "Naked City Tale" - as in the old old phrase "there are 8M stories in the Naked City (NYC)..." which I thought was from Dragnet, but turns out that there was a tv series called Naked City 1958-63.

Ok, gotta make plans for the evening. Probably no shows but maybe some concerts if we can find something we agree on. This week seems to be 'dark' and no opera that we've found. (That is fine with me but I know how much he likes opera.) ciao, M
