Good morning! Woo hoo! I slept in- 8 am! The downside of that is that it makes me feel like I lost half of my day LOL
Hi Cornelia... I bet that Amelie looks adorable in those earrings! Make sure you turn them often so they heal good. teething and fevers seem to go hand in hand, at least with my guys, Hope she perks up and has a wonderful time visiting her family.
Hi Ona! Hope that you are having a nice weekend as well!
LindaW- LOL yes, I am bossy- just ask my kids buhahahaahh! Seriously- I love the friendships and love in this forum. It keeps my faith in humanity going especially after I see some horrid stuff in the news (or frommy kids stories about school "friends"!)
Hi Sara- I am going to have to check out your song LO- I never did get to do one for that- I am so far behind in scrapping... so sad...
Too funny- but I got your email update from Good Reads last night. am going ot have to try to get back into that site again.
Dawn- Popov vodka and diet cola (store brand) was one of my big cheap drinks in college. You could throw it in a travel mug and as no one got too close (fumes!LOL) you could bring it out with you
The bears are really exciting to see. I love them, not so crazy when they drag garbage around. we have a bear proof can so they don't usally get into my stuff. They try- and there are teeth marks inthe lid to prove it. But if a neighbor's can gets hit and they bring it by me I have to clean it all up. Which them gets me aggravated b/c as I am cleaning it, I see all of the food that isn't mine!
As a side note, you can tell the diff. between a bear hitting your garbage and a raccoon. A raccoon will usually dump the garbage right there, and then drag the food all over. A bear will drag the bag somewhere "off site" and then root through it.
LindaP- we had a bear hunt in NJ one year-- very controversial. I (tree hugger!) am against the hunt. I am all for trying to sterilize the bears to control population. Ultimately I would like to see the development and deforestation of my area be stopped. The hunt was not successful in terms of reducing that many bears, and there were several "horror stories" that came out of some hunters shooting into dens. Not cool.
/off soapbox
Hi Dawn- hope you got to sleep better last night and no reflux. My stomach has been really upset (lyme or meds, I don't know...) and I hate that feeling!
Good morning Clara! Hope that you got to sleep in today since you didn't yesterday. Is it black bears by your SIL? Black bears are typically non-aggressive towards humans, but if it is grizzly- then I'd be freaking too!
Your dessert sounded so yummy- can you believe I have never had rhubarb?
Hope things look up for your sis. I went through that w/ my brother a while back. He was lonely wanted to be married and have kids. Almost moved to SC when his company tranferred. I talked him out of his funk eventually and that is when he met my SIL! Hope your sis gets ahppy ending to
Linda P- This rain is getting to me too-I tried to get outside an ddo some weeding, thenit rained....then the sun came out and I went back outside. But the wet brought all of the mosquitos with it. Then it started to rain againand I gave up!
Your party sounds like so much fun! I love that impromptu party-ing!
Andrea LOL at the way your news traveled so fast! How old is Jenny? My neighbor and friend across the street has a similar situation with her DS who is 6. He has ADHD issues, plus low muscle tone in his trunk, which affects his large and fine motor skills. He is starting PT and OT and speech next week.
Woot on that veggie score! Yum!
Yes, I have a white tea and ginger scent, let me check to see how much I have left.... yup about 1/4 oz left...
now it is on my hands, smells good!
(LindaW- I am making your salve this morning- will ship on monday!!)
Yvonna-- zucchini and tomatoes are two of my fave veggies! Yum!
Sally- how was the play? Bet Cora did great- she gets her talents from her mom (and dad *G*)
Sara-- nice job on the shopping trip w/ SIL!! Maternity clothes sure have changes since I had my 2- who remembers those stretchy jumper things? I lived in them, esp with Scott b/c I had such bad indigestion I could have anything sit on my waist/stomach. And the supe long, baby-doll tops that made you look evenmore like a blimp? LOLOL!
Yay Dawn---- so glad you got things worked out with your car!!!
We just got our registration for Gary's motorcycle-($58!!!) and we have to get more insurnce onit. It hasn't run in over 2 years.... but we need to sell it asap....
Not sure that money is coming from.....
Oh well.
Ok lovelies- I am done rambling, hope that everyone has a FAB day!
