PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW AND STRONG WINDS ARE EXPECTED. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE. We did have some sleet yesterday afternoon....but it melted as it hit the very warm ground where we had been in the 70's for several days in a row. HOW HOW HOW does it go from 78 degrees one day to 36 the next??? OH YEAH....someone cut the heat switch off. :caked: MOTHER NATURE........I AM PISSED AT YOU!! :Cry:

Oh well......guess I knew it was coming....but LATER would have been better than SOONER...:biggrin:

No snow here, a bit chilly, but not cold. Been kind of down this week, not sure why.....the office costume judging was a joke. Definately a popularity contest, can you tell I didn't win....LOL!

Ack! I think it's safe to say the "allergies" I've been battling ever since I got over my last cold have now turned into a cold or sinus infection. Waking up this morning my head felt like I had slept with it in a vice... but not the same pain I get from my migraines or headaches, this was crazy sinus stuffiness and pain. And of course ever since I first opened my eyes, Riley has been hopping in and out of bed... in and out from under the covers... driving me nuts. One moment she's under the covers using me for warmth, the next she's standing on my hip waiting for Jeff to come home - hoping to intercept him before he can give me attention - the next she's outside waking up the chickens... then back under the covers again!!! Do they have ADHD meds for dogs??

Today I'm planning on cleaning up around the house & then maybe do some baking or something. We'll see! I have four pounds of strawberries that need to be used up quickly... so I need to get something going for those.

Good morning from :canada: everyone where it is a beautiful sunny snowless day. Hey isn't it supposed to be the opposite?? Aren't we the ones usually having all the snow up here in the cold North?? Well don't send it my way please!! Heading up to the In-laws today to get all of their pictures done and taken off the computer, she will have lots I am sure!! She doesn't even know how to turn the computer on, so I will be busy for a couple of hours I bet! FIL gets lots of pics in his email but hardly ever shows them to MIL so she will see some for the first time. What a pair!!

Chris - Your weather does not sound promising, hope that your Halloween party is fun!!

Laurie - Glad to hear that the concert was fun! Looking forward to seeing the pics!

Nana Linda - Sorry that you have been having a rough few days again! You know that you are always in my thoughts and I will send lots of wishes for things to get better for you sweetie :hug:

whoa, Chris!! you guys are really getting slammed with this storm. we seem to be on the western edge. not too bad here in W. PA.

we started up the wood stove for the first time this year. and i brought out a puzzle for my husband and i to have at, a bit at a time. i don't think i'm going outside today. too cozy inside. i still can't believe it's snowing, though....:shocked:

home- have some good photos- you have to understand that as I have aged- being high in the air causes me to have a panic attack- so as we head to our seats- second balcony 17th row in a dark areana I was okay, till I sat down and looked down to the stage- yikes- I nearly passed out- I took 20 min before I felt like I could breathe. Once Sugarland took the stage and the arena was lighter, I returned to normal. So that said, the photos with the zoom looked like I was closer than I was.

Afternoon all...a cold cold rainy day today, esp when I went out at odark30. Bone chilling. But good to be home this afternoon, maybe some scrapping, downloaded one of the videos from Jana Morton's class at Get It Scrapped, and will try to follow along.

Dinner tonight is finally Porkloin in the porcehtta style, roast potatoes and steamed asparagus. I usually roast the spears but thought dinner needed something non-roasted in it.

I started watching Downton Abbey on Netflix last night and I have a winner for me. Finishing up the first Kurt Walllender mystery and loving it. (Eva - I had no idea how good the Swedish crime/mystery writers were. Lovin' em.)

Ok, gotta get the mojo spinning before I have to start dinner. back later ladies.

Brrrr...cold here this Sunday morning. The good part of that is that I have a spare refrigerator now! the table on my back deck! LOL That helped last night with a pot of meatballs.

Today? Scrapping, and Netflix, and probably some hot chocolate!

It's cold this Sunday morning. Trying to heal a strained muscle in my belly (yes, as strange as it sounds, but somehow pulled it while speed walking yesterday morning....ouch!) Anyhow, gonna relax this morning and will try to do some weight training later on w/out injuring myself *lol*

I'm with Maureen though *giggles*...netflix, scrapping and hot choco...great trio, for sure!

Good Morning ladies! Well the car zoned out again and wouldn't start the first time. So we ended up going to get the battery tested and ended up with a new battery. Hopefully that will cure my car problems for a while.

Had lunch with the kids and got to watch Eli for a couple of hours, OMG he is a little whirl wind. Wore me and Gampi out!!!!!!! I got a picture of him and his Gampi passed out on the chair, will scrap it today....it's just too cute!

Morning- cold and frosty, been to church and headed back as I forgot my fall giftie that was to be returned today-as well as my key to work, so guess it is a return trip for me. Then when I return home- basement- someday I won't have that as a daily job!

I've heard the weather up north is sucking. Poor Chris...I know how much she hates winter. I'm sending you some warm thoughts lady!!

Today is good. We had a Halloween party last night, which was fun so today is lots of cleaning and stuff. The kids were cute all dressed up. Addie was a rainbow alien and she ripped her costume apart so we have some fixing to do. It is all pretty simple to fix. Jus some hot glue gun work. Ethan decided to be a dead ninja or something like that...but he didn't listen to his mama and his swords got broken. Kids just don't get it that we know what will happen. I think I never believed my parents either. LOL.

Tomorrow will be trick-o-treating. Andrea was concerned about how she was gonna do it with three kids, one parents and a non-walker. So, I think she'll head over here and we'll team up somehow. It will be fun.

Well, I am about to leave for church so I need to go and rush the rest of my family. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
