This can't be happening!!:rant::ranger::rollpin:

:faint2:
It is absolutely, utterly incomprehensible that this is the last weekend in November.
I am not ready!

But it is ALL GOOD! Look at everyone's Pre-Party Avatars. That makes some so happy. The Christmas party here is always a big highlight of the season for me.
So let me see, what did I do yesterday. I finished crocheting my mom's scarf and added the fringe. Caitlyn and Gary say that she will love it. Me-- I am not happy at all. You can see how badly I messed up the tension in the rows, it is all warped. I am thinking that I might add a shell stitch edge along the sides. But that might make it look weird with the fringe? Maybe I should take a picture and ask for some ideas.

What else did I do? I played with the rats for a while. It was the babies' birthday! They are still so small for adult rats and I don't think I will ever *not* call them the babies. Caitlyn thinks that their prenatal life situation made such a difference in how they developed. Their mama was one of the hundreds of mice/rats/hamsters/rabbits/guinea pigs that had been dumped on the side of the road by an unethical breeder aka a piece of **** The mama was pregnant with them when they were left for dead. But dang they are so adorable. So darn adorable. Caitlyn gave them mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving and said that I have to watch how they eat them. That is one of the first things I am going to do today.

I also have to get my house cleaned b/c the kids want to decorate on Tuesday. I am so happy that they are all ready to do it. That means I also have to clean out my freezer so I can start baking cookies. There is not enough time! I am not ready! :fear:

Breathe, Faery.

Ok. I am all good.
(am I?????)
Yes.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day!!!

Kay- how did the weather go by you? I hope that you didn't have to deal with too much of that yucky stuff. Excellent idea to drink tea under a fuzzy blanket!
You must have been worried when you saw the Win 10 update. They stink. iTunes too.

Trudy- good shopping deals! I bet Heather will love all of the coziness this winter.
I have such a hard time shopping for my Gary too. And this year I don't know if he can/should eat his shortbreads I always make. But what will Christmas be if I am not trying to bake and then hide the cookies in my closet while he is puttering around the house? LOL
Poor Hunter, but OMG I am LMBO at the big booger! Of *course* that would make him ok with the testing. hahaha! What a brilliant way to approach it for a little boy. Brilliant! I hope his mouth isn't hurting him too much today. Tell him I am sending hugs!
My Gray had a nightmare the other night. That in itself is extremely unusual since he almost never dreams. But this one, he fell back asleep and it picked up where it left off. I hate them. For me, that would be simply another night, but for him-- soooo unusual. I hope that get some good restful sleep and the dreams calm down.

Rae- hah!! That meme is adorable!
I am beyond sad to hear about Bonnie and her DH. I can't imagine how difficult it has to be that you can't physically be there for her. :( Sending good thoughts to all of you.
I bet that even though Jen has to deal with braces it has to be a piece of cake compared to what she went through last year with her jaw. (That was last year, not 2 years ago? Time is a *blur*) She is lucky to have you taking care of her. You one of the best moms around.

Cheryl- I am gonna smile every time I see Christmas Daisy! I don't like shopping on the best of days. I don't see any sort of draw to go on Black Friday. Nope.
Any work being done on the house this weekend?

Jean- love your avi too!
How exciting to have your work being showcased in the marketplace. I hope that they sell but even if not, it has to feel good that other people are seeing and appreciating your work.
I love your things you are thankful for - the poinsettia and orchid would be bright spots for me as well.

I better wake Caitlyn up, she has four major term papers due in the next few weeks and has been falling a bit behind schedule so she asked me to make sure she is up by 8 am.

xoxo

good morning - yesterday's black Friday was taking Luther to a park great for walking dogs but equally good for me and bird watching and gorgeous views of the NYC skyline. And OMgosh the weather was perfect, we walked almost 3 miles and I saw my favorite duck the ruddy duck. Surprisingly no geese. But saw lots of bird just not in large numbers. Maybe it has not gotten cold enough so they have not come south. Then took Luther out for an afternoon walk. Was a gorgeous sunset so that was fun. The best was finally season two of Virgin River. I loved the books and the bingeing is fun. Looking forward to Christmas in the O. I finally figured out what to get my son's little kids. They know that I like to look for birds and they have started to look for birds so we are going to get them little kid binoculars, birding books and stuffed birds, bird feeders and seed. Now I just have to go online and find them and get them shipped. We are putting up the tree today and decorate next weekend. Today off to some other park.

Chris so glad that your Thanksgiving was so fun. Your pictionary game sounds so fun. You almost had me when I read about you going out shopping. Online seems the way to go.

Trudy sounds like you have made a great start on your shopping. Congrats on the calendar.

Kay sorry about the weather. We are to get a storm this Monday. Lots of wind and rain. The backside of the storm is getting their first snow. I kinda want snow.

Rae so sorry about the troubles in your family. It is so hard not being able to hugs. How sweet of you to cook food for someone with braces. Your teeth are so sensitive. I remember and I still dread dentist visits to this day. Keep taking those photos.

Jean that is so awesome you went birding. Being outside and birds just always cheer me up too! Have fun with football games this weekend if they happen.

Have a great day all!
Cheryl how long is hunting season? In NJ the park we take Luther to have signs up that hunting is going on except for the weekends. Hope they get back to working on the house soon.

Morning, all. It was cold...35* when I woke up. No snow here in the valley - but snow on the mountains. Definitely time to pull out the long johns and sweatshirts. Debating about going to the grocery store as I have been out of fresh veggies and fruits for a week. No way was I going out before the holiday. The lines are still long at the grocery stores so may try to hold off for a few more days. I used the last of my liquid creamer this morning. I made Enchiladas for supper last night but it was missing the chopped tomatoes and guacamole. But I did have the custard bowl of pumpkin pie for dessert - so that made up for it.

I am doing a happy dance... looks like the latest Win10 update corrected most of the problems I was having. So nice to have most of my log-ins in place. Should ask DSon#1 if his problems are solved, too. He was having some of the same issues I was. We have the family chat tomorrow so will ask him then.

Nancy, so nice you and Luther got a long walk. And to see the birds was an additional blessing. Didn't realize that you could see NYC skyline... how neat that is.

Chris... I got sucked into to thinking you had gone shopping, too... until I re-read your post! Good luck on getting the Christmas cookies made... and hiding some of them from Gary!!! LOL I need to clean out the freezer, too. Think there is a turkey carcass in there from last year...O O O O! May wait until next Wednesday to throw it away as trash pick-up is on Thursday. Don't want it stinking up the area.

Rae, so sorry about your dear friend and what she is dealing with. It is hard when we can't be with the ones we love right now.

Need another cup of coffee then figure out what I am going to do today. CYL

Morning ladies... It will be another quick post from me this morning as DH has bought his snow blower and we are off to Rona to pick it up. they have curbside pickup so we are just waiting for the email to say it is ready. I got lots of online shopping done yesterday and I am pretty much done! Just something for MIL and I have no clue what to get her :noidea: FIL will be getting a new leaf blower as we are getting a free one with the purchase of this snowblower how great is that!! His is on its last leg so the timing is perfect! As long as he hasn't already gone out and bought himself one LOL. Loving everyone's avatars!!

Chris - Will Gary be able to eat the shortbread? Do you think or will it make his crone's flair up? I sure hope not!! Sorry to hear that he has had strange dreams too! Yes hoping that our little Hunter is feeling better today!

Nancy - What great gift ideas for the kids!! They will love that! How fun to be shopping for them! You and Luther are getting in some great walks and I was not aware either that you could see the NYC skyline. How great is that! Hope that your nice weather continues on!

Kay - it sounds very chilly where you are! So glad that all of your computer woes are over and done with! Hopefully it is the same for your Son!

Rae - My heart goes out to you all!! Sending Big Hugs!! it must be so hard to not be able to console your good friend!! I hope that you can keep busy and keep your mind off of this sadness!

Ok lots to do before we head out the door and then I sure hope I can spend some time here and get some commenting done! Have a good Saturday everyone!

Why Cheery Os hates me so much?! I can't even change my ave without someone to scolded me ?! I'm seriously demotivated to scrape again, it's not worth it to waste my time just to receive so many negative reactions. :mmph: :fish:

Please upload to the correct gallery. I cannot find your avi. Thanks.

Good morning, Lovely-O's! I'm still super exhausted - but I'll pull out of it today - yesterday I was in a food coma all day and could hardly think straight. I'm so not used to overeating like I did on Thursday.

Nancy, I don't know when hunting season ends, but it can't be soon enough! I want those guys to work on my house. LOL It has to be soon! I just asked my hubby and he said he thinks it goes through December! I yi yi yi! First it was bow season, now gun. I'm so glad my hubby doesn't want to hunt.

Felis, I'm sorry you're having trouble with your avi. I had no idea where to put mine, so I'm surprised I got it in the right place.

Chris, I was afraid my avi of Daisy wasn't the right kind, but I went out on a limb and used it. I played with some funny ones, but in the end my little Daisy Doodle won out.

No activity on our house! They started to lay the wood floors and there was a problem with the concrete slab. I guess it wasn't smooth and they had to re-surface it. I hope we're in by Easter. UGH

I have to laugh every time I read that you're playing with your rats. LOL That conjures up sweet images of rats for me. We may not even have a Christmas tree this year, so I'll need all the sweet images I can get.

Kay, I chuckled about the turkey carcass. Our fridge is a mess of leftovers and something in there smells very "spicy" - we're not sure what it is - it doesn't smell bad, just an unusual spice. I told Chuck it smells like a Greek restaurant in our fridge. When we lived in Michigan, we frequented Greek restaurants a lot and I remember that smell.

Hugs to all - I need to get a few things done before everybody descends on us - I'm sure they will all be looking for food. LOL

Our DD, SIL and Alyssa leave tomorrow to go back to Florida. It will be a little more quiet then, but it's been fun having a housefull again.

Oh Felis, please don't get upset, no one is scolding you. :) Karen only wanted all the fabulous avatars in the gallery so she could go and leave some love on them. However, if you don't want any comments then that is fine. :) As it is not a challenge that is eligible for one of the grand prizes, and only just for fun, you can upload as you did before. Hope you will reconsider and upload your fun and cute avatar again. :)

It's happens every time when I post layout! I had a list with all the cases when some Cheery O comes to tells me I'm doing something wrong.I know my english is bad, but not so much!
First of all I'm not OK to post in my gallery image which I'm stole from internet. Second: everybody can check and see that even previous year I didn't finished one of the challenges, I know I don't deserve the prizes, I'm at O because of these lovely girls here at Daily Ooo's. I miss my community here, and only way to can chat is by staying active member, which means I have to scrap at least 3 lo per month. The Christmas party sounded like a good opportunity, I guess I was wrong.

Before I get into blabbering about my lack of interesting activities in my daily life, I want to talk to Felis.
Felis- you are *always* ALWAYS welcome to chat, regardless of how many pages you scrap. I vaguely remember from a while ago that there were active member requirements to post here so I searched the forums. It was from 2012-2013 and it was due to the site being hit by spammers. I double-checked all of the current rules for the forums and gallery and that is not an issue anymore. So please don't stay away just because you aren't scrapping. Besides, you can't stay away because I just made a new rule that says you have to stay. So there! :p

We are all good now?

Good morning, happy Sunday!
Yesterday was so unproductive. I must have been muttering to myself more than usual that Gary asked me if I was OK. I could only ask if he ever felt like his life was spinning totally out of control and all you could do was watch it spin. He laughed. I guess I am not alone in that. *winks*

I started out by scrubbing the stairs. My family is a bunch of slobs when it comes to spilling coffee when they are going upstairs. Usually, I scrub them before the big family bashes but we haven't had them this year so I decided it was time to do them before we decorate. I deep cleaned the dining room and kitchen and then pooped out. Today I am going to do the LR and Gary's bathroom so we can start bringing the boxes out of the attic tomorrow or Tuesday.
I scrapped a page for an upcoming challenge but it still needs a bit of tweaking. My brother and fam went to cut down their tree the other day and I love that SIL shares lots of pics on Facebook. It makes me miss Christopher so much though. I haven't seen him since January and he is getting so darn *big.*

I did get to see the babies eat mashed potatoes. (BTW- I did make all 5 lbs and they are just about gone. I almost made less and Gary talked me out of it, so glad that he did. LOL). They weren't sticking their faces into the bowl like they did when Cait gave it to them, she thinks because they were warm and "soupier" than the cold chunks that I brought them. It was still totally adorable watching them she more and more potatoes in their mouths and then scurry away to eat them. Livvie shoved a huge chunk in her mouth, it started to fall out, she pushed it back in and then grabbed even more.

Other than cleaning today, I have to figure out what else I need to do about the holidays- baking ingredients/time to bake/gifts/wrapping paper. All of these things that I would normally able to go out and grab easily but nope, not in 2020. Nope, nope nope!

I have a relatively speaking "busy" week ahead. :pound: Busy! hahahaha! But I will be out of the house on T, W, and Friday for groceries and vet appts for Liv. She is scheduled to have the tumor removed on Friday and she needs a pre-op appt on Wed. Plus we are decorating on Tuesday and Leah is coming up on Wed. The kids did a 14-day quarantine after she went out shopping to be on the safe side. I know he misses her a lot.

Enjoy your day!!
xoxo

Nancy- that is my kind of Black Friday! What a wonderful day and good for you to walk that far. How nice to get to see the birds and duck. That gift idea for MG's kids is awesome, just perfect coming from you!! They will love it!
How is the tree? Does your house smell like Christmas now?
I hope that the sun is shining by you, it looks so darn pretty up here. And shush about the snow!! No snow here, please... :D

Kay- I bet the mountains look pretty all snowcapped. As long as it isn't on the roads, right? Stay warm, did you find all of your long johns?
There would be no way I would go to the grocery store on the weekend even before the pandemic. I hope that you are able to wait until Monday.
Great news about the update working!!! Hope that DSs issues are taken care of too.

Trudy- congrats on the snowblower! You know that now you have bought it, the chances of needing it have dropped considerably. :p
A great bonus for the leaf blower too. FIL will be happy.
I don't know if Gary can/will eat shortbreads or not. He is trying to limit fats and sugars and there ain't much else to shortbreads heh I am glad that Hunter is feeling ok too. He is such a cutie.

Cheryl- Every time I see Daisy, I have to smile. She dislikes a little holiday Muppet. My BFF has a muppet dog and she is so sweet and fluffy.
I am relieved that your food coma is going away. When my POTS symptoms were bad, eating just about anything made my heart rate soar so eating too much now makes me anxious. (Funny how that is what makes me anxious now, rather than the calorie counting I would have freaked out over pre-Lyme)
Oh no, how frustrating the floors are holding it all up. I hope the rest of it goes faster than it is now.
I will be sure to tell lots of stories about the rats. They are truly sweet little things!
Hope that your fridge smells better-- do have olives in there? kalamatas have that distinct smell to them, I can imagine it in my nose right now. haha!

hugs!!!

I miss you too Jean! I know I promised to improve my english while I'm in break, but I lied! So I seriously doubt that you'll still be so enthusiastic after few of my posts.
Hmm did your team win? I hope you enjoyed the game! Can't wait to see your pages about the poinsettia!

Chris, I just PMed to you.

And I miss all of you, girls! Wish to all of you happy holidays! ::grouphug

Oh, and for goodness' sake, Trudy, put finally one donkey at your Nativity scene, please! (I was got special photo about that, which I planned to scrape as a joke for you for the Christmas party. :pound:)

Hello my lovelies. I just read a LOT and I need to come back tomorrow and respond properly.

It's been insane around here all last week and weekend - this 50+ acres isn't so big, believe me. My hubby says we need to put a revolving door on the front of the house. It's mostly been good, but I'm glad tomorrow is Monday - Ava goes back to work, Braden goes back to school and The rest of the family went back to Florida tonight. WHEW!

Good night and I hope you all had a good evening. My food coma is starting to subside, thank goodness. All was well until they all came over and got all of the goodies back out and "somehow" a big piece of pumpkin pie with a mountain of whipped cream ended up right in front of me.

I'm going to bed. I'll be around tomorrow. Hugs
