Starting my second- my day off- I started back on the treadmill- too much stress not to- finally unburied it from the drywall dust- today I am getting rid of the old tv that doesn't work and putting in a new LED HDTV (small but hey) to watch while I walk- can't wait- it will so make exercise fun! I am starting to move things into my creative space- it is very exciting! Nana- take care of you!

Nana Linda w - congratulations on 19,000+ posts thanks for your great comments in my gallery yesterday - Sorry you keep waking up early!

Phyllis - I'm sending you my smile for the day - you so often send me one!

Maureen - I want your mojo you are rockin your pages lately!

Chris - thanks for all your help!

Me - I'm off to leave love while Mamaw sleeps so I can be quiet and keep cleaning out scrapbook stuff for the 4th garage sale this year at our local paper scrapbook store - I say I'm almost done because I keep thinning things down but alas the piles were huge of paper stuff... the best one was the 3rd one .... I gave it all to a cousin who scrapbooks... 1 complete carfull in a hatchback no money for new stuff but someone who wants it has it! ps they've gone through everything I'm putting in this one too - I hope I find evrything I want to give a new home to so I can be done. I changed my avatar yesterday but it didn't change in the gallery ...any suggestions? I also added a signature ... it's just my name but this old dog is learning new tricks!

OK. the carpet is in, the furniture is back where it belongs. the armoire is assembled and looming large in the room. ( i just love giant, morose Victorian furniture....) today i think i'm going to go through stuff all over the house and have a big clear-out. (why is it that it never seems like i have any more room, even AFTER the clear-out??)

first some coffee. then get started ( to paraphrase, "nothing contains more false optimism than the first few minutes of a day when you plan to accomplish a lot....")

Happy Thursday!

back with my :tea:

I am stalling, I really don't want to have to finish packing. We all packed clothes last night, today its the meds. I wish we had room to just throw everything in baggies. I end up doing that a lot, but then when we get to my moms, I can never find them. At home we each have baskets and the caps are all color coded.

Each kid has different meds and different schedules. For ex. Cait takes tindamax Mon-Thursday. Scott takes it only Wed and Thursday. Scott gets Fri-Sun off from all meds, Cait only Sat and Sun, except when she takes Rifampin which is all 7 days, but she is off of Rifampin while taking Mepron aka yellow latex paint..... :bowl:

See why i am stalling??

Eva-- your siggie is beautiful! Maya's new kits/papers are my new faves. Are you starting to feel better? Hugs to you!!

Laurie- good for you for walking again, that rocks.

Deb- goodluck with the sale. I sold almost all of my paper scrap stuff at a garage sale to a new Kdg teacher. Everything for $20- stickers, papers, punches, scissors, stamps, inks etc... quite a loss of $$ but it went to a good cause and the woman was so excited to have her own classroom, I knew it was going to get good use. I was aPrek Teacher so I know how hard it is to get good supplies.

Going back to yesterday....

But first.............
Phyllis............. *gasping for breath* That quote!!!!!!!!!!! That is so totally me!!! I hop in the shower, start my mental list, get out of the shower and I have completely lost all ambition LOL

Totally stealing that from you, or whomever you stole it from ;)

Donna- sometimes it seems like all i do is spin in circles. I was in the middle of making the cookies for my dad, and the phone rings-- Cait's school nurse, she was in pain, needed tylenol, can I bring some down? The school is 15 mins away, I am in sweats, head to toe flour and cocoa powder... but what can you do?
Does it get any easier as they get older or does it just throw grandkids into the mix (Nana, don't answer that one!)

Eva- that sounds like a wonderful way to spend your day.

Fran- I know, and ITA! I love starting my day with my O-Fam :)
I feel your pain with why ypou stopped doing craft shows. I get the same thing too, with people being able to get lotion at the dollar store. I used to do only essential oils, but many people don't realize that true EO's are expensive and that a good quality body wash that is handmade is going to cost more that BBW. But I feellike I can support the town, so its all good.

Congrats on the weight loss!! Wow, that is amazing! I am really proud of you doing it so "smart."

Maureen- let me know what you think of that book, sounds great! I am still working on the 4th Outlander book. I loved the first three, but this one is dragging.

Sal- MIL and I were looking at your blog when I was down there last week, we talk every year how we are going to come down and visit you. Some day I will. I was looking at our Coz pics yesterday, and then I saw you post that Cora is graduating HS. Say it ain't so!!!
Hope you had fun shopping- and congrats on his car!

kristy-- ugh, if you could only see my wreck of a house too.... :)

trudy- I love that LO of YMG- he looks so regal and strong :)

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh.................. Maureen, don't let her know my secret.... Someday i don't remember if I put underwear on, let alone what blending modes i used LOL...

Terry!!! Good to see you again, sorry that the last few weeks have been so rough. Foot surgery,, right?
Feel better, take it easy and good luck with the laptop.

Better stop stalling.... ugh.......

Have a great day!!!

Here's to you :tea: lovely O' ladies! I'm actually feeling human today and woke up rested. This is my Friday this week, can't wait until 4pm so I can go home......

Nana - I hear you about getting up early, but I have to say sometimes I like it....my only alone / quiet time I get during the day. You poor thing with the stomach ache, and happy birthday to your two little guys.

Chris - I hate packing too and will put it off until last minute, although I've run what I need to pack in my mind so it doesn't take too long. Have a great weekend with your parents and hopefully you get to relax a bit.

Eva - Loving your new sigi, I really must try and tackle one of these. They are just too kewl.

Laurie - kudos to you for starting the treadmill regiman. I need to do the same, especially with the colder weather setting in.

Debbie - yeah for you for figuring out the signature part. It's always nice to see a person's "real" name. WOW that is a lot of scrapbooking supplies!

Phylis - Isn't it a great feeling when things just come together and it's finished. I still need to get some pictures up in our family/dining area. Then I can call that space done....next my bedroom.

Have a great day everyone...off to read some more posts and leave some love in the gallery.

Morning peeps! Y'all were an early bunch today! deargodalmighty, if I woke up at 4am, I would certainly not get out of bed! but I am fortunate. Sleep has always come easily to me except when I have a high decibel snorer going to town!

Today is my first grandchild's 17th birthday! He's a sweetheart and I wish his parents (my son) were easier on him. Oh well. I do know to not interfere except once in a while give them a questioning look.

I need more tea, and also to eat before the cleaning ladies come. Once they're done, I'm off to Costco hopefully to get PSE10 with the $30 off. That and get a new pair of glasses started. I have the prescription, just need to order glasses!

btw, I'll often get a turkey breast (or two) when they're on sale just before T-giving but so far no sales. I guess we'll be having a whole turkey this year. I need to get it now so I can thaw it when we get back from the beach. I guess that also means it's time to organize the freezer!

back atcha later.

Well, I'm sitting here wondering if I'm up to making "kycklingroulader" for dinner? Looks so yummy! It's been on the commercials on TV for a while, and I've been meaning to try it. Might be kinda over-kill for a plain ordinary Thursday :)

(it's thin slices of chicken with a mix of bacon, onion, parsley and mustard rolled into them. Fry + make a creamy sauce. Will taste like heaven I'm sure :) )

Wow!!! You guys are early, early today!! Mr GOrgeous' alarm went off while he was in the shower early this morning and played Jazz music until I woke up. Then he very adorably went and got me tylenol because I've been coughing up my lungs for about two weeks now and my head was killing me this morning. I can never stay in bed too long unless I decide to read and this morning I was excited to get up and post a bunch of pics on my blog from my shopping trip yesterday. So many pretties out there!! :)

So, today is computer day. I have to use my laptop in my craft studio because that's where the cat5 cable has it hooked up to the internet. I'm praying the fabrics in here do not distract me, because they are calling my name very loudly!!! as are the last 5 advent calendars I have to get out this weekend!! :) Anyway, I have way too much computer work to do to get distracted!! :)

You girlies are so fun! I'm going to post individually later when everyone has popped in!! :)

love you all!!
have a marvelous THURSDAY!! (i love thursdays!!!)

Morning all - checking in today to catch up on news!

DH is off to the West Coast - apparently the debris from the March tsunami in Japan is due to hit BC coast any day - he's hoping to find a Honda ;)
Joking! But it is amazing that after all this time the debris arrives.

Wonderful shots of deer, Laurie - don't often get deer in our but we've been invaded by black rabbits1

Trudy - yep, it always rains on Remembrance Day - have your brolly handy!

Maureen - will be waiting for a review on PE10... if it's worth updating. It's frustrating, I know - with children and their children ..... you can't interfere but if they would just realise that you've been there, done that etc . and be open to listening.

Will be checking back in a couple of days!

Just a quick response to Jacqueline re PSE10. I have PSE9 on two computers- my iMac and my 13" Macbook, and I also have Dick's old MacBookPro that I COULD install PSE8 on. (you can only have two installs of the software....hrmph) I thought I would be ok with that until I took the blending class and my eyes were opened to what a layer masks could do!! Layer masks came in the PSE9 version.

If you have PSE8 or earlier, 9 and ergo 10 are worth it. If you have 9, they say it's not worth upgrading.

I know this sounds convoluted but when I go away by car, I like to take that old MacBookPro of Dick's because it's a 17" one. Easy on the eyes but no longer functional for what he needs. Lucky me!

Hey ladies!! Today was a work day (well, volunteering...but doing actual work so Addie calls it work since I wear scrubs). I only go in for about 3 hours but it is fantastic to be working on my skills again. I miss working at the hospital. I really miss my job where I just sat and played on the computer all day unless I got interrupted with a patient. LOL!!

Yesterday was my DH's birthday. He was a giant PITA. I wanted to make him dinner but he didn't want me to go to any major trouble. So we were gonna go out. Then I busted my butt with the kids getting the house all cleaned up and while we are waiting for him to get home he calls saying he's gonna go get a beer first. Well, the place was booked so he came home. But then the guy he works with who we had talked about going out to eat with (it was his birthday too) called and said that his wife was making him dinner. So then Derek wants to wait to go out to eat until everyone is available..but I've got nothing planned for dinner. Geeesh!!! Such a brat. But he's my brat...so It'll be alright.

I've been working on getting things ready for Addie's birthday party. We are making crowns and lip gloss. Which reminds me...I need to order the lip gloss containers. Ooops. Doing that now...then I'm gonna find something to eat. Hugs to everyone. Have a great day.

LOL I actually started with CS but was trying to teach myself ...this was back in 07? or 06? and there was serious weeping and knashing of teeth. I threw in the towel, and got PSE4 which is all Mac had then. I still have that CS software if I decide I want to test it out again. Of course CS is only 6 versions old now!

Fran, PSE or CS5?

Hey ladies... I'm back here finally!! Got side tracked at a half price one day sale at my favorite ladies wear store. Ouch I hit the wallet pretty hard, but that' why I'm working right? so I can have some spending money of my very own!!

Personals -
Linda - 4 am??? Sometime I get up to pee at that time, but hurry back under the nice warm covers so I can get a couple more hours in. Happy Birthday to your two "J"s! Watch out for that Ibuprofen we don't want you getting all sick on us :puke:

Chris - You make my head spin with all the meds you have to remember!! Please have fun at your Mom's you deserve it!! Thanks for the nice comment on my hubby, I think I might keep him for a while longer LOL.

Frani - Nice that you had a great sleep last night, it sure makes all the difference in the world doesn't it!! I use CS5 too, but keep going back to CS4, because my poor old computer doesn't like my CS5 for some reason??

Debbie - love your new avatar!! I think if you clear your cache, your avatar will show in the gallery, while you are in the gallery I think you can hit shift F5?? or maybe F4? I can't remember, but that should fix your problem!!

Maureen - Hope your get your PSE10 at Costco today!! Happy Birthday to your oldest Grandson!!

Eva - That Kycklingroulader looks wonderful, I'm also drooling now!! :hungry:
