CHEERY O
Happy Monday!!!! I am coming off of a very nice Sunday, so I am going to work real hard at keeping the momentum going. The sun is going to be shining as soon as it rises (hahah), I have a nice cup of coffee, and am working from home, and will have a few hours of relative peace and quiet todo to said work. ;)

I have a bit of potential good news. It is "Relief News" for my family... but it could be great news if all goes as planned.
Gary got his Social Security Hearing date!!!!!! It is Nov 16. so 2 more months to sweat it out, but at least we know an end is near.
I am going to begging for prayers and good thoughts that he "wins" this. Like I said before, I cannot go to the possibility of not getting approved. The only option is approval and that is what I am hoping for and concentrating on.
If any of you have prayer groups (I know Sally has been doing this for a long time, thanks hon!) please feel free to add us in. :)
If not, just a quick fingers crossed is great too.

I am going to try to catch up on personals fromt he weekend, I hope I don't miss anyone!

Linda S- sounds like a nice Fall weekend! We had pouring and freezing rain (not really freezing, but freezing to me LOL) Friday and Sat. But yesterday, it felt like summer again (yay)

Linda W- omg- you are sooo like my mom, if she doesn't see my kids at least once a week she goes into total withdrawal. Hope you had an awesome time with him. How is that little princess doing?

Lori- that makes me so happy to hear that you like it here at the O! It really is a special place. That is a lot to expect from you to have all of those kids. And for your sister to stretch out the time like that- I know I would feel taken advantage of.

Cora- 50's and 60's- LOL Thats not that cold-- I should move down to you. Do you think I would make a good Texan? *giggles*

Clara- oh I hate when that happens. Cute naked girl LOL! Hope you had fun whatever you decided to do.

Dawn- oooh!! How is the road trip!?
I am sending bunny kisses directly to Davy so s/he doesn't get lonely!

Andrea- just "thinking" at CEC is an amazing feet!LOL What was your paper on?

To al my O-Fam!
xoxoxoxooooooOOOOO!

Good morning ladies! Crazy week ahead I think. Who am I kidding??? They are all crazy to me!

Hope everyone has a good day and I'll try to get back for personals tonight!

Good Morning O Family!!!

Major Decluttering for me this week.....I am cleaning out out EVERY room downstairs...including the laundry room...YIKES!!! A LOT of junk leaving...we don't have a gargage..or a walk up attic....so I have a very small bedroom...aka JUNK room, the den, the laundry room and DH's tool room...but that's his baby to clean out....(also a bathroom and guest room...the one's I cleaned out already and hoping when S-DD comes back will keep clean)...the worst is the JUNK room...gosh...it's really really bad!!!! and then the upstairs small bedroom is a little junky too...so it's going on that list as well!! I am on a mission!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you all had a great weekend!!

Chris...sounds like you had a good Sunday...love the positive attitude for a great Monday too!! Sweetie...I am praying for you guys!!! and I will have you added to the church prayer group...at my Mom's church too!!! I have my fingers, toes, and the hairs on my head all crossed for you guys!!!! I just know it will be good news in November!!!

Hi LindaS!!!!! Now how boring would life be if it was crazy all the time!!?? Have a great day!!!

(((HUGS))) to everyone!!

HI!!!

Just a monday here. i may have to drop spanish since mr potts got a job during my class.:( my mom left my step dad this week but is returning next week. she has done this several time in the past year so i am not sure i want her to babysit mine twice a week. she has a history of mental illness and i just dont know if the class is worth the risk and worry. mr potts wants to try but i dont know. so i will probably think alot about that today since i need to make a choice so i dont fall behind in the class.

other than that just gonna hang with the kiddos and enjoy the rainy day. this probably means that when mr potts leaves to work we will go on a great rainy day walk. he hates those and only does it for like 5 minutes but i am crazy and i will let us get soaked and then in the house for warm baths. perhaps we should get some baking involved.

Personals:
good luck to day Chris!! i hope everything goes the way u would like. took a look at your blog and i have to say i admire u.

Linda S. I hear ya on the crazy daily!!

Linda W: girl u are on a mission!! good luck and dont get burned out with all that cleaning.

Good Morning my "O" Family....hanging head in shame....I soooooo have been MIA!!! Sorry! Life has been insane with school starting!

Hope everyone is well!!! I will be after school to do personals! Have a list of errands a mile long! I actually had to assign time to be able to get them all done! Let's see how that goes *LOL* Best laid plans......

Have a fab one ladies!!!

Hey everybody, I am about to leave to drop Atha off at school, but I wanted to pop in quickly to let you know I got 100% on my paper!!!!! I'll paste some of her comments when I get back. First of all, wow, fast grading, professor! Anyway.

I'll be back shortly!

 well darn i left the camera in the car so now my rainy day celebration will be sans pictures. what a bummer.

Update: talked to mr potts and he is also now thinking against having my mom on kid duty for the semester. i really would like to take my spanish class since i am transfering to university next year and it will be more expensive but i dont want the kids having any bad experiences with grandma.

Hi all! The stress in our household has lessened - DS learned how to pee in the big potty this weekend! Hurray for him. I'm so proud. :-)

Chris - Prayers being said here too. Hope your Monday has continued to be positive!
Andrea - Congrats on the 100!
Linda - I need to do some decluttering here too.
Lori - I hope you can get your schedules/childcare worked out. Sounds stressful.

To everyone who comes after me, have a good day!

Karen

Okay, I'm back. Looks like a "slow news day." LOL Here's what my teacher wrote about my paper: Andrea, I really enjoyed reading your paper. I was very impressed by the content, thought and effort you put into this. It was very professionally written. I can see that you are one your way to providing effective multicultural education. Excellent job!

So Chris, to answer your question, it was about Multiculltural Education. LOL And, Lori, thanks so much for the offer. We have that too, but like an idiot I waited till the last minute to write it, and didn't realize I had to format it a certain way, or some of the other requirements. Next time I plan to really check ahead in my syllabus and make sure I know what I'm up against so I don't stress out like I did this weekend!

Chris, I will def pray for you. I'm not sure exactly what is at stake here, but I have a guess. You all have so much going on, I'm sure the waiting is stressful for you. ((HUGS))

Lori- bummer about Spanish class!! I realized, during writing my paper on multicultural education, that I need to take some Spanish classes. But yeah, your kids come first. Maybe you can find a class at a better time? Here's hoping.

Linda W- wow, good luck with all the decluttering! Sometimes when Vince isn't here I get the bug and throw a bunch of stuff away. He's a worse clutter bug than I am. Always bringing home stuff he finds that he thinks he can fix, etc. But yeah, more power to ya! Will your little peeps be able to help, or will you work on it when they aren't there? Anyway, good luck with all that and Go Girl!!

Karen- Way to go on the potty training!!! That must be such a relief. I wish I could get Genny out of diapers.. someday...

Okay, I'm going to work on dinner. Take care y'all and see ya later!

That is so cool Andrea. I think school can be a breeze for you. I have been a student for 3 years now and I have found the key to success is to read the syllabus, divide the work among the days u have and dont expect ur teachers to remind u. if u do a little each day u will almost always avoid a big study session and recieve high marks. I have managed to mainain a 3.95 GPA, raise 3 preschoolers and remain happy using these methods.

Good afternoon. As a friend of mine put on facebook I am having a Ho-Hum kind of day. Just kinda here today. I have been really upset for the past few days because of some extended family stuff that was unintentionally hurtful and i didn't want to talk to my mom about it because it was hurtful to her also and I didn't want to make it worse. But then this morning as I was driving to work and talking to her she asked me a question about something related to it and I tried to have no opinion about it but after a little pushing and her telling me I could have an opinion about it with her, I just started bawling and spilling about how hurt I was about the situation. Like I said before, my mom can make me crazy but I love her and she is an awesome mom and definately pulls through more often than not. She has always been my number 1 fan. Being a mom gives you such a hard burden sometimes I think because not only do you have your own things that hurt you but also the things that hurt your children that make you hurt too. I am not looking forward to the days when my children start having big heartbreaks which will in turn break my heart right along side them. All of you with grown up children are amazing. I don't now how you manage.

So, today I am trying to get some lunches for this sweet lady at my church. She is a shut in and so the church schedules lunches for her twice a week. On one hand it is hard to get it taken care of because it is a lot, but after meeting her it doesn't seem so bad. She has a hard time moving around and as of the past month or two hasn't been able to drive and can't get to church on Sundays. I offered to try and take her on Saturdays, when I go but it didn't work out for her this week. I don't know if she wasn't feeling up to it, but she cancelled on Friday. Currently I am trying to come up with a group of about 12 ladies that are willing to go out to her house about once a month to take her lunch. That way it is easier to schedule and also makes it so that the rest of the list of people who have offered to help with this ministry are available for the other things that come up. It seems like there is so much sickness going on right now. A lot of cancer and stuff. Lots of people are needing help. I like providing help to people that need it, but hate that people are in situations where they need it. I wish everyone were healthy and happy all the time. That would be awesome.

Well, I went from planning to just come by and say hi to my brain vomiting all over this text box. Go figure. Well, I am going to do some personals in a different post. Hugs for everyone. I am in a "Sit on the couch, watching chick flix with a girlfriend" kind of mood at the moment. Eating ice cream or brownies or something else equally bad for me. Oooooh, rootbeer floats. mmmmm! That sounds yummy. Bad Clara bad.

Oh, so I had the scariest parent moment yesterday. Addie loves to sit on the counter when I am cooking to "help" me. Well, last night I was making burritos and she was pulling the tortillas out for me as I needed them. So, I got the last tortilla, turned to roll up the burrito and turned around to her with the bag over her head. I grabbed the bag, then grabbed her to sit her down to tell her how dangerous that was, then realized I had to get her attention and decided to spank her. Not that I don't ever spank her, but it is usually a swat on the butt that doesn't really hurt but makes her mad. She had gotten some water on her pants so she had nothing over her little legs so I know it hurt her and it just sucked. But a bag over her head? Scared the crap out of me. So she started crying and i sat her down and told her she needed to stop crying so I could talk to her and amazingly she stopped crying and was just sniffleing and listened. I was amazed that she understood that it was important. Usually if you breathe in her direction she starts yelling at you that she doesn't like that but she didn't get all upset like that. It amazes me how much children can understand a situation.

So, anyway...I am done with my ramblings. Off to personals.

Chris - Thank goodness for the hearing date. It will go well. I'm with you on the positive thinking. Are you ever going to put in for social security? Are you elligible? Or is that not even a question until everything gets figured out for Gary? Whatever the case I will definately be praying. I am trying to steal some of your enthusiasm about it being Monday. You left me behind in the "ugh!! it's Monday" world. I guess I have to catch. Must get more sleep. I need to see if I can put a timer on my computer so it turns off at bedtime. That would be ideal.

LindaS - Is there any other way besides crazy? I hope it isn't too crazy for you though. have a great day.

LindaW - You are so stinking motivated. If you could send me even a tiny jar of that motivation I would be forever grateful. I hope you are 100% successful with your declutter. For somereason I have a feeling your decluttering is much different than mine. My house is a big clutter mess although I no longer have a junk room. I finally de-junked it. That was awesome. Now if I could de-junk the rest of my house I would be set.

Lori -That sounds like a hard position to be in with your class. I hope you are able to come up with a solution. Is there anyone you could trade childcare with? That would be ideal. Or maybe someone you could pay a few bucks to? I really hope you can get something figured out. That is good that you and your husband see eye to eye about the situation with your mom. Your rain walk sounds awesome. Sounds like something that would really awesome if you had a hot tub. Ooooh, now I want a hottub. LOL!!

Kat - good luck with your errands. My errands always take so much longer than I plan, especially shopping. What should take 20 minutes always takes an hour. I cannot run in and out of a grocery store to save my life. I hope your day goes smoothly.

Andrea - Yay for 100%!! And you were worried. Now you just need to get your schedule down so you have less stress and still get awesome marks and you'll be smooth sailing. I always have great intentions but zero follow through. But now I am done with school. DH has been talking about getting his bachelor's degree. He only has a few classes and he got a school option with his reenlistment so he should use it. we'll see. It would be nice if he got his degree now so that we can save the GI Bill money for the kids. If he got his Healthcare administration degree he could get all sorts of jobs. we'll see what he decides to do.

Karen - Yay for boys peeing in th epotty. That is always such a huge struggle and so rewarding. I'm glad the stress is decreasing.

To anyone else...Have a fantastic day.

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to check in here because I haven't before. I have had a busy time of lately with renovations to my house but I'm finally back into a bit of a routine and will have the time to concentrate on designing and spending some time in my favorite online places.

I was lucky to have a beautiful weekend and have Monday off work - my mum came to visit from out of town, so it was spent shopping, and playing with some new bits and bobs of camera equipment I had picked up for my photography business. We also got to visit my father-in-law, who is recovering well after having a triple heart bypass.

Only problem is, being back at work today after that has made me realise how badly I'd like to be in my own business instead - though I am thankful to have a job since so many including my hubby are out of work. HOWEVER, I did just find out that I got a 1% payrise at work. Not much, but hey, that's good news no matter what.

hey Kat!! love that u checked in here. nice to know more about u!! just so ya'll know I love Kat's products and she is the one who drew me here in the first place! and i am glad!

clara, sorry to hear your day is bummy. drama can be so bothersome. i hope whomever is doing that to you gets their attitude together, thats what i tell my two year old all day. ((big hugs))

i would love to find someone to watch my kids but i dont know many people and the ones i know work and stuff. looks like i should stay home. i feel like such a slacker but i have never let my mom watch the kids on a regular basis i would feel so guilty should something happen to them.

HelloooOO everyone!! Another quickie check in from me. DD and I had a blast at our concert....and shopping :). We went to Magic Kingdom today, I don't remember the last time I was this sore LOL. Luckily, we decided to only do one park and use the money we didn't spend on a 2nd park shopping/eating...so tomorrow we are headed home. Hopefully, I can handle the drive in one day, if not we will get a room one more night. It cost a lot to drive down here, almost 800 miles one way, 3 tanks of gas, ugh, so we will spend that much getting home. We've had the time of our lives though in spite of sore feet and legs. The heat has been pretty bad. I thought Ky was humid, LOL. This evening we ate at Rainforest Cafe for our first time and it was soooo fun and yummy. We also had drinks, a yummy chocolate shake for me, Amanda had some kind of white chocolate espresso, at Ghiradielli's Soda Shop, that was another new experience for us.

Clara, I thought about you while we were out and about. If I had had the extra $$ I would've been able to go skydiving...or we could've gone on a hot air balloon ride. But there was just too many things to see and do.

I'm afraid my photos will be a little boring...DD was not being cooperative about letting me take hers LOL, it was soooo hot and we got pretty grouchy while we were out and about haha.

I did ride rides which surprised her and myself..I have not tried a roller coaster since I was a kid but we went on a ride that was kind of like one and I loved it :). I'm all about trying new things at this point in my life it seems haha.

DH has been taking good care of the furbabies, or so he says, he said "Davy sure is spoiled, what's up with her wanting the top of her head rubbed all the time?" LOL. He's been letting her out at night and everything :). I can't wait to get home and kiss her sweet bunny nose!!!!!

I'll catch up on personals and scrapping when I get home...I have missed you all :).

xoxoxoxo

Kathryn - Welcome to the dailys. So glad to see you here. It is nice to have a personality to go with those designs. I used your products the other day and LOVE them. I'm with you about trying to be thankful about having a job. My husband just reenlisted in the army for that same reason. We do what we do. Ih ope that one day you get to have your own business though.
