happy new week!!! I am sitting back, sipping coffee and wondering where the heck the weekend went???????

My sweet, adorable, happy, lovable Godson's christening was yesterday and my goodness, I LOVE that boy. he just makes me so happy to hold him. He has 8 teeth now- 8!! He just turned 5 months old. And his first haircut was last week. How do you make time stop?? Or even just slow down a tad?Gary took a lot of pics from the ceremony and I tired to get some at the reception afterward. Gary ended up getting sick and had to leave part way through. :( Thankfully my parents were able to drive the kids and I home. Such is life.. and I was happy that he was even able to come for part of the day.

Today i have got to get my act together, so scrapping or downloading of pics until my house is in some semblance of order. ATM- I have crap thrown everywhere. And Gary still has boxes of halloween stuff all over the living room. I can't stand it when the house gets this bad.

Hope that you all have a wonderful and happy day!

Morning all - it is monday- back to some semblance of routine- I need routine to keep me focused. I actually feel good about what I got accomplished over the weekend, even if it means that there is still more to be done. Flylady's holiday missions start today and I am going to do my best to follow them- especially since we are going to be away right before Christmas. So- off to work I go- with a positive attitude!!

off to spend the day at the hospital. one of my aunts is getting a pacemaker, so one of my sisters and i are going in for moral support. her son lives in Canada, so he's not going to be there. i am not a fan of hospitals. but some things, like sitting there for family, is necessary.

sigh. it's still pitch dark out.

have a pleasant day, lovelies.

Good Morning Ladies.....Hapy Monday!!!!!

Oh yeah I'm perky this morning, sipping my much needed cup of java and catching up on the forum. We had a busy weekend, Saturday we got a late start to go to the Pumpkin Festival, but the traffic was so bad we turned around and went to see the grandkids instead.....we haven't seen them since Late August. They are so busy with sports and DH has been working most Saturdays we couldn't find the time to connect. Kaitlyn, oldest granddaughter (she's 6) had a soccor game. She is a go getter, it was fun to watch those little kids running up and down the field.

Yesterday I finished my Wicked tutorial, check it out on my blog. Link is in my signature.

Chris - How awesome to spend time with your godson! I always love hanging out with the youngsters, they are a breath of fresh air.

Laurie - I hear you about getting back into a routine, since I've limited my CT commitments I'm finding I'm not scrapping as much. The routine and deadlines kept me focused.....now I'm just kinda playing. Need to get back to "REAL" scrapping and get some layouts done....

Have a great day ladies!

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning ladies!! I was going to come back in yesterday and leave some love...but that didn't happen.

We had a great weekend. Our friend Shaun had his fiancee up from Florida so we could all meet her and she could get a feel for the area while she was here. Our kids had a blast together and Ethan went right into big brother mode with her 2 year old. It was super cute. Saturday night we went to a free concert on post...Josh Turner. I love all the free performances we get...usually country music which I don't usually listen to, but I do on occasion so it is fun. Since we've been here we've see Jodee Messina, Charlie Daniels and Little Big Town. So not unknown names. I think Scotty McCreery needs to perform since he only lives an hour away and all. We'll see. :D So, I made these rum drinks for everyone but I haven't been eating sugar for the past couple of weeks so drinking kicked my butt, big time. They got some pics of me that they turned into one of those "inspiration" posters. I have a feeling I'll be unwrapping a framed copy of it for Christmas. It is kinda funny...I guess. *insert eye roll here*

So, while I am writing I am also on hold with the nurse to see if I can get Ethan in for an appointment. He's had a cough for days and it isn't getting any better. Of course they have no appointments. Very annoying.

Chris - I still get so excited for your family every time you mention that little boy. I'm glad the christening and following reception went well. What did you end up doing for a card?? Hugs and prayers for you and Gary. I'm glad he was at least able to go for a little bit since I know that is not always the case.

Laurie - I think I should check out the Flylady stuff agan. Thanks for mentioning that. So, where are you going for Christmas? Have a great day.

Phyllis - sending hugs and prayers to you. Hospitals are just another place to be for me since my husband and I have worked in them for so long...but I can understand not liking being there. It rarely means anything great. I'll pray that your Aunt's surgery goes smoothly and flawlessly. That is so great of you to be there for her with your sister. You guys are awesome nieces.

Frani - Yay on getting to hang out with the grandkids. I always loved the last minute visits to see my parents with the kids...and so did they. It meant a lot to them...and I'm sure it means a lot to yours. Off to check out your tutorial.

I hope all of you have a fabulous day. I have to now set my alarm for 2:00 to try and get Ethan seen in the after hours clinic. Very annoying. I just want his poor little cough to go away.

Yesterday was a wonderful sunny day and we had a great time outside all day. Happy Monday everyone.

Still enjoying the Crescent City and its food. Funny though, last night we went back to the Riverbend area and had really great...Salvadoran food! We have a lot in our area back home but this one just looked so inviting we went in. I adore ceviche and that was one of my dishes..ummyumm. I was good too. After eating papusas, I passed on the flan and the tres leches. Our server said the Tres Leches was light! I told him I like mine good and heavy! lol

Breakfast is back in the hotel today. M-F there is a free breakfast in the Concierge Lounge. One of the benefits of having strictly used our Marriott visa card over the past 10 years. Off now to eat and look out at this beautiful city.
