Happy happy Monday!!!!!! I am so so sooooooo sad that I missed all of the chats. I always laugh my butt off at them. I could have used that.

I had a really rough weekend, but I am working hard on getting my act together, and taking things one day at a time.

Thankfully I was able to get my biopsy changed from Dec 16, to Nov 17. Took me calling the Breast Center til Friday to finally get through. So whew. i think. It is also the day after Gary's hearing. I was kind of hoping for a day or so to decompress, but now I am trying to focus on getting it all over at once and that we should have good news for T-day. yes. good news on both accounts. Positive thinking! (not always easy, right??) Gonna be a rough wait, but it will be good in the end.

You know I am always welcoming any prayers and good thoughts-- so if you want to pray for my sanity, clean bill of health and Gary's approval.... that would be awesome.

Yesterday we had some beautiful weather and I was able to get some raking done. No resting.... I can't rest when my brain is all messed up like this.

Good morning!!!!!!! If my letters are slurry, it's because I am working off of 4 hours sleep...uuuggghhh!!! I promise I haven't been drinking this early in the am!!

Chris....(((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) I am sorry it was a rough weekend sweetie!!! But great news that they changed you appt to Nov....that waiting game is NO FUN!! and with the waiting for DH's SS hearing almost over too...I am sending POSITIVE thoughts and vibes for PERFECT outcomes in both situations!! and then you can cruise into Christmas feeling some of those heavy weights lifted!!!!!!!!!!! SO YES YES YES!!! You have my prayers, well wishes, good vibes, positive thoughts...and anything else that will help!!!!!

It was gorgeous here yesterday too!!! If you could plan for November to be like that, we could have had Jesse's b-day party outdoors!!

As much as you CEC haters hate it...we had a blast yesterday!! I mainly took photos and watched Savannah.....but watching those kids have fun is fun for me...and when I say kids...I mean the big ones too! My girls get into that stuff with those children....Sharon goes and gets a million tokens and then plays one of those token roll things that if it hits the right slot you get bunches of tickets....she ran the game out of tickets...LOL!!!!! Then she just splits them up and lets all the kids get a prize!!!! Cameran says "GEEZ LOUISE Mommy...you take all my tokens and get us more tickets!!" and Jesse likes the skeet ball game, except he plays on his own rules...he takes the balls and walks them up to the rings and drops them in!! LOL!!! I thought they might throw us out of there!!!!

After that, we came home and did not get any of the stuff around the house done we had planned, but I did clean my car...It's worthy of letting someone actually get in it now...and oooooooo let me tell you what I did to make it smell good in there...I took a baggie and one of DH's old hankies, soaked the hankie with the oil in the bottom of the FaeryWings Jar of body scrub and then put small pin holes in the baggie...layed the baggie under the floormat in the back seat and my car smells SAWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you my sweet Faery Friend!!!!!

Well...gotta have another cup of coffee If I am going to stay awake!!

WOW- am I out of shape! We worked on the new foundation yesterday. Mixing concrete two 60# bags at a time in a portable mixer (thank God!) then shoveling it into five gallon buckets for hubby to pour into the forms. YIKES - my lower back hurts today :) Guess I should get on the elyptical climber and do a sit up once or twice a year!
We have parent teacher conferences today and tomorrow. Teach all day then conferences from 4-8:30. Makes for long days and a long week. At least we have Friday off for a comp day!

Linda W - Oh wow - you reminded me that my truck is terrible. I should maybe clean that out one of these nights this week!

Good morning. I had a weird weekend. I feel like nothing got done but I was busy all weekend. Ugh!! I guess I did do quite a bit. Had my bro and future SIL over Friday, chatted on Sat morning, went back to sleep, then i took addie and the neighbor girl shopping for a bit and then did some camera window shopping then we went to church and i came home and bought my camera. whoohoo!!

sunday just felt busy but really it was only kinda and this morning i feel like i was run over by a truck. i need to see the doctor again because although i feel better my cough is still about the same. ick. i did get into a giant fight with my husbant last night. that was very unfun. i have this horrible habit of swearing when i am mad and so ethan and addie were upstairs and ethan comes running down the stairs yelling that addie had said a bad word, with addie yelling behind him hysterical that he is telling on her. so derek had a talk with addie about saying bad words while i had a talk with ethan about being a good big brother and sometimes he can try and talk to her about stuff instead of just being a tattle tale like he has been lately. and i had a little chat with myself about using more appropriate language around my children...mad or not. ugh. bad clara. i've been getting a lot of those lately. not cool.

today is hubby's bday so i have to be nice to him. which is actually fine. i'm done being mad at him for now anyway, so it is all good. :) My sis is coming and making him dinner. I was going to make him dessert but I ran out of time yesterday so i am going to call coldstone today and see about getting a yummy cake made. I hope I can make it work out. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I has to be filled with peanutbuttery goodness. Mmmmmmm!!

Well, I have to go make myself some sort of blended something. My throat is on fire. I'll chat again soon. Oh hey...does anyone here sell Pampered Chef? If you do, send me a PM. I need some stuff and don't want to have or go to a party. Just a little random thing for you.
 
No rest for me today even though I have the day off - just got a call from work for a report that needs to get done today for the CFO. I was really hoping to have time to clean my office/hobby room and maybe get the baby blanket I was working on done. Oh, well!

I took the day off because DH was having a discogram and CT scan. Just got back a half hour ago. Bad news is that the discogram showed that what is causing DH pain may be the hardware (titanium rods from a 2-level spinal fusion) put in 5 years ago - and it would need to be taken out (meaning another year of recovery from surgery if so). He's pretty bummed about it, I can tell.

Chris - I know how you feel - it took a long time for the disability case to get resolved for my DH (about 3 years). I am wishing you both luck, not only for that but also a positive outcome on the biopsy. I know how anxious you must feel on both counts.

Clara - have some nice hot chamomile tea - might soothe the throat a bit.... sending wishes that you get better soon.

Good afternoon/evening everyone!!! Yesterday DH and I took the bike up around the lakes/Land Between the Lakes here in Western KY...not like that's a big outing it's only a few miles away LOL. But it was sooooo beautiful out, upper-70s and sunny. We just rode around for a couple of hrs. We needed to take a break so we hit one of the side roads that ends up at a fishing spot. There were a few people fishing and the water was calm and the fish were jumping like nuts so I got my camera and snapped some pics. We had been there a few minutes when DH pointed in the distance and said "what kind of birds are those?"...I thought he was imagining things and that they were some kind of white buoy. But no, they were huge white pelicans....I mean H.U.G.E. and we went on around the lake to the boat ramp and OMGosh I've never seen such big birds(outside of an ostrich/emu). Apparently, they migrate through this area between Sept-Nov and we just happened to be lucky enough to see 'em...I lost count of how many there were. DH looked them up when we got home and said they have wing spans of like 9'. It was really amazing and I got a lot of pics...haven't even uploaded 'em yet....too busy moving all my digi-scrap/photos to my EHD, gonna have to restore my puter, UGH. Plus, had shopping to do and supplies to download and unzip LOL.

Be on the lookout...after I upload the pics I'll be doing some layouts with those pelicans.

Yay for new cameras!! What'd you end up getting? Ugh to fighting with DH, no wonder you still feel yucky! Take care of yourself girlfriend!
 
LindaW-feel free to come clean my car anytime LOL. It's not had a bath since....um remember the ice storm that came through Ky last winter....end of January first of Feb? Well, my back window got busted out and some body damage. When the body shop fixed it they cleaned up my car like brand new, inside and out...Yup, it's been that long LOL.

I'm so happy you had fun at CEC, but I still say UGH LOL. Maybe when I have some grandbabies of my own I'll like it! I Hope you took some photos!

Hey kids. I am le pooped! First of all, I heard Genny fussing in bed at 5:45, and thought I was going to have to go into their room and grab her because if she wakes up and she's all by herself, she'll just trash the room. Well, she fell back asleep, but I couldn't. So I got up and got ready for the portrait sitting I had booked for this morning.

Now, let's just put it right out there. I. Hate. Crummy studio portraits. Hate em. But the in-laws feel like they are a required part of life, so since Vince will no be home for the holidays, I thought I should go ahead and dress the girls alike, and shell out dang near $200 for a bunch of stoopid looking photos. Anyway, at least the guy was super cool and REALLY good with kids. He only took like 6 shots, tho. I hope he got a couple of good ones. We'll see in a month.

Then later I had to pick Atha up early at school and take the girls to a WIC appointment. The WIC office here on Fort Bragg is the worst place for children in the world. Two cramped rooms, ZERO toys, no food or drink, and you are usually there for at least 2 hours. Sigh. At least Genny was asleep for most of it. It's like torture to her, and she makes it torture on everybody else.

But now I'm home, and in my jammies and ready to relax.

Chris, I always feel like my troubles are small compared to what you are going through. I pray every day for you and your family, and will start praying for your boobies, too.

Linda W- that is an awesome car freshener idea!! I bet it smells much better than one of those pine trees. Glad you had fun at CEC! Clearly, many people tend to like it. Just not me.

Linda P- we are doing parent teacher conferences this week too. However, at this time, I am just a parent. OUrs is tomorrow. Hopefully, in a couple of years I'll be sitting in those little chairs all day long.

Clara- sorry about your "running fast and getting nowhere" weekend. Hey, our hubbies have the same birthday! WOW! Hope you guys have fun. I need to remember to send Vince an ecard, altough I'm not sure if he had internet where he is. Well, you guys get along now, and have enough fun for Vince and I as well as the two of you. How's that for pressure? LOL

Scrapmonkey- Hiya! Nice to meet you! I like your username. Give your hubby some big, CAREFUL hugs for us, okay? ANd I hope to get to know you more around the dailies!

Dawn - sounds like a fun ride you had! When I was very little, must have been less than 5, I came face to face with some pelicans, and I'll tell you what. Those are some big birds. Very big to a little girl!! Hey, are we gonna have some fun or what over at that other place?!! I think it's gonna be a blast!
