we had a nice weekend, even though Gary was too sick to come with us. I have loads and loads of thread to go through, but I wanted to say hi and good morning to all of you.

Morning all - it is just another rainy day in paradise- I spent the weekend working on moving stuff around, sorting for the basement- my son's bedroom actually has floor showing. I plan on having it all showing by Thursday evening- I can do it. Sounds like a layout in the making. I have lots of ideas, just need to release the clutter so I have time to act on them!

Chris told me how to fix this but alas "I'm slow" My picture in the gallery still shows me in the casket.... do you see me with the tree ... or the casket I tried to find a temporary internet folder to empty and clear but no such luck .... I really don't want to be in the casket now that Halloween is over... The forum picture is correct ....

Ok, just to be a royal pain, I have beautiful sunny weather, the Atlantic ocean outside my balcony and it's perfect. Tea was made for me when I got up, and I actually have my Macbook, his old MBP with PSE10 on it and an ehd full of digi supplies AND an iPhoto library. Is this a scrapper's heaven or what...

Yes, Chris you were missed but we knew you were on a much needed change of pace.

'morning, everybody. the roofers were supposed to arrive at 7 this morning, but i got a cancellation call instead. rain and 30 mph winds. not an optimal day to be on the a roof. so let's see how long this job takes to accomplish at this time of year.

i've got all the Christmas shopping done, the presents wrapped and the boxes sent for my grandkids. just have to think of presents for my husband and daughter. my daughter is always easy. she knows what she wants and TELLS me. the husband is a different story. i'm sure some of you have experience with the guywho says he wants/needs nothing. this is in the same school of thought that gives rise to the comment: i don't care what we have for dinner. it puts all the thinking and decision-making onto ME!

Laurie, i had to laugh about the being able to see the floor comment. familiar....

well, off to do some laundry. i may venture out into the wind and rain later today to do grocery shopping.

Fran, been meaning to ask where you are in San Jose? We must be neighbors?? I was thinking it isn't too cold this morning, but we did break down this year and turn the heat on early. We used to try to wait until December but when the temp in the house drops below 60, that's too cold for this old body

Morning sweet "O" ladies!! Dark and gloomy here this morning. Maureen send some of that sunshine this way pleeeese!!! Full day at work today and another girl just handed in her notice, so here we go again, looking for another cashier! Can't blame her though she got offered much more pay somewhere else. Oh well such is life. Yesterday we got the yard cleaned up and all the plants ready for winter, it looks so barren in my backyard now. This week will be spent getting things ready for hubby's Christmas party at our house. 20 or so for dinner and party afterward. yikes I better get busy!! Not decorating too much though and borrowing a couple of the beautiful christmas trees from work all decorated by a designer, how nice is that??

Chris - We did miss you girl!! hope you had a wonderful visit with your mom!

Laurie - good luck with the purge!! It will make you feel so good to let go of all the stuff!! Can't wait to see what you scrap with it!

Debbie - Depending on your browser, sounds like you need to clear your cache, go to tools, options and if you use Firefox browser go to Network and look for offline storage and check Clear Now. Different for Internet Explorer, I now Helen told me to just hit Shift F5 while you are looking at your gallery avatar and it should start showing up properly. Hope you get it fixed!!

Phylis - My husband says the exact same things to me when asked what he wants for Christmas. Its either I don't need anything or just get me socks and underware WTH?? How boring is that?? I swear one year that is all he's going to get LOL Sure hope that your roof gets done before the really bad weather hits!

Good morning, girlies!!! I have my coffee and I'm ready for my crazy last batch of advent calendars!! I have to get these last 6 done pretty quickly, because mr gorgeous bought me NEW FLOORS for my house!!!!!!! This means that I'll have a whole new house for Thanksgiving, which is really great since I'm hosting a boatload of people!!!!!! So, anyway, I'm not looking forward to all of the grit and grime that comes with installing new floors, but I'm soooooo looking forward to a wood floor in my bedroom and the stairs and the other rooms we picked!! ANd we get new couches to boot!! We've never bought new furniture except for my bed last year. We have a bunch of handmedowns and now we get new!!!! *whew* I'm excited!!!!

Anyway, I better get those calendars done, cause the craft studio is on the list for wood!!! (okay, I have to admit, it's laminate, but it looks real and with the humidity here and the prices, I'm really okay with laminate!!! It's made of compressed paper which is wood, right???)

Good morning ladies. It was a nice weekend. We went and saw a couple of movies...Dolphin Tale was a lot of fun and soooo sweet. It was great. I've been getting ready for Addie's birthday next weekend and I made lip gloss and have been trying to get some lace stiffened for crowns. Then I found really inexpensive nail polish. I got 24 for $4. It was in a set. So, all the girls can pick one. Now I just need to get some quick dry stuff and we'll be set. It will be fun. I have no idea how many little girls will be there. What is up with people not RSVPing. I don't get it. It's all good though. It will work out great.

So, Derek has today off too. Bonus of the military...why take 3 days off when you can take 4. Of course both of the kids have school...and Addie's school is right smack in the middle of the day.

Well, I need some breakfast. I'll chat later.
