Happy Cinqo de Mayo!
And happy Birthday to my nephew, Dyl. ;)

How are my lOvelies this morning?
Another rainy, dreary day here. I thought the whole spring deal was April Showers bring May flowers. Ummm, can someone please tell Mother Nature that it is May?

It is also so cold- I just cannot get warm!

Had a crappy day yesterday- just feeling so run down. I have a hugely busy week, so i need to get get feeling better asap!

My eye exam went good- except that at first they couldn't didn't think that the referral the dr gave me was an actual referral. They decided to accept it, but who knows what is going to happen. Last thing I need is a huge bill for an eye exam! Got my new contact lens Rx, now I simply need to find a supplier that accepts Medicaid! *insert slightly insane laughter*

Make sure you check this out:
Monday, May 4 to Sunday, May 10 - Ashalee Wall is Spotlighted!
Ashalee's freebie kit is gorgeous!!!!! I did a lo that was totally not like what I usually do,.... not sure I like it, but it is dfferent ;)

So , personals time!

Dawn, gentle hugs to Davy, I hope he is ok. Is it normal for bunnies to have "colds" ths often? Poor little guy. And yeah, I don't like to take too many pills, but there are times a Xanax is more than needed!

Kelly- I didn't ever have to deal with thatnkfully. Everyone I know says it is just a phase. I bet it is harder on you than him. I hope it ends soon.

ME- hope that you get some sleep too. I don't have to wrry about kids hogging the bed- just dogs and cats! (They are easier to push off htough LOL)

Sandra- are you as sick as I am with this rain?? Hope you got everything done that you need to!

Clara!! I saw your camera is in!! Woo hooo!!!!! How was the memorial? You did a great job on that program. LOL about learning that banging your doesn't work! I know it doesn't work, but I still want to do it some days!

Hi Tali! Sounds like you had a nice weekend! (hugs) back!

Joslyn- lots of "warning time" with you and your labor. I know how you feel- I didn't get labor pains w/ Scott and I was 9 cm byt he time I was inthe hospital, insisiting that it couldn't be labot b/c they didn't hurt. With Caitlyn I had Pre-Term Labor and was already 5 cm at 33 weeks. I am 45 minutes away fromthe hospoital and was freaked about having a roadside baby! I was able to have my dr induce me with her. Good thing since they started the pitocin at 9am and she was born 2 1/2 hours later.
I hope you have the baby before gena comes down!

Dawn, OMG! I would want to string that mother up!!!!!! Scott is 12 and he gets Lyme Rages on occasion- Gary asked his dr if a small doese of Xanax would be ok. Now- Scott is taller and almost as heavy as me. The dr said absolutely not! This poor poor baby!!!! That makes me sooo mad!

And on a lighter note, I had no idea that bunnies could teeth! Ya learn something every day! :D

No tips today, can't think of anything!
Oh actually- if you have dogs or outdoor cats- it is time to put Frontline or something appropriate on them. You should use it year round, but it so darn expensive, we just use it during traditional tick season, but ticks do live year round.
If you are looking for a good price, try amazon- I found it there cheaper than anywhere else, and it was eligible for free shipping.

Have a wonderful day!!!

Just a morning hellO! I'm not even dressed yet, LOL....and I need to leave in like 5 minutes! Oh the thrill of rushing :).

Have a happy Tuesday everyone!!!! (((HUGS)))

good morning... I'm having my coffee and clipping coupons... other than that, not much going on... the rain has stopped for the moment although so far it's looking pretty glum outside!

I didn't get on the treadmill and didn't eat well yesterday, so now I'm kicking myself... gotta hop back on the track today... I finished up my kit yesterday I've been working on, and I can work on some other stuff... I didn't get any straightening done yesterday so I need to do that today, and some laundry...

Chris - totally sick of the rain... I need to work on fixing my fence so I can plant my flowers, so that's on the agenda for the weekend...

hi Dawn!

have a great day everyone!

Good morning! i fell asleep on the couch last night at like 8pm and woke up at 11 am. I am so ready for DH to return from New Orleans tomorrow night. Will the sun ever shine again here? So tired of gray skies and rain.

Hi Chris and Dawn and all the rest of you lovely ladies. Have a great day!

Hi girlies!!!

sorry I didn't check in yesterday...I'm sooo addicted to this scrapping thing!! and this week is a bit full with fun stuff, but no real heavy committments right now, so I wanted to just hang and scrap yesterday! LOL!!!

I did take my sweet 9yo Emma in to the dr yesterday. She's been complaining about bad stomach pain. Now Emma is an eater. She loves to eat gobs of food, but she's not overweight at all. Nice metabolism!! LOL!! but she is also a worrier. So we figure that she got to eating too much and either is stopped up or is having the opposite effect, reflux. So the dr gave us reflux meds. I'm waiting to see if our insurance will pay for it!! I'm telling you...why do we pay for this stuff??? Never mind...I don't want to find out! LOL!

The other course of action is for her to eat more fiber. I'm such a bad meal planner that we eat out a lot, so I know that is a problem with her tummy. AND she listened to what foods the dr suggested and said yuck to all of them...any advice?? she does like salad and tomatoes. but she hates juice, raisins, craisins...etc...I told her that she just needed to drink some juice like it was medicine. *sigh*

Anyway, big week this week...Thursday is my mom's birthday...she'll be 70!! So wednesday we are going to go out for dinner and then to the IMAX about Alaska. heehee...her big gift is that I'm taking her Alaska with my sister in July! I have to get those tickets today, too! :) it's exciting! :) then on thursday we have free tickets to the astros game!! that should be fun, too!!

tonight we are in the studio recording the music for our second Hearthstone CD. We hope to produce two CDs before June 4th which is the weekend for a big homeschooling conference. We got an exhibitor booth there, so we are totally excited about the way hearthstone is going!! and the poetry on this latest CD is Phenominal!! even cora recorded two tracks!!! I'll let you know when we have samples up!! ohhhh we have samples up of our first CD...go here: HEARTHSTONE MEDIA
anyway...shamless plug of my cello playing and mr gorgeous on the piano! :) we make an awesome team...now you all know why I'm truly in LOVE with him!! hehee!!

So...what else??? I guess that's it!! I am loving scrapping everyday!! I had a great time doing ashalee's spotlight challenge this week!! i'm going to upload my second LO tomorrow!! you gotta read my journaling for my first!! (it's in the designer spotlight gallery!! you can't miss it...its the one with all the journaling!! ahahahahah!!)

Enjoy your Tuesday, girlies!!! I love you ALL!!!

Mornin' ladies! Happy Cinco de Mayo! What I wouldn't give to go out and have a big fat margarita on the rocks, extra salt, tonight. :) But, Ella has dance class and I have a policy council meeting, so, that is out of the question.

Anyway. Ella and I got our flowers planted yesterday. :) They look great. She loves to plant. Eric got me a hanging fuschia basket so we got that going as well. Today we are tackling the tomato plants and probably waiting until this weekend for the corn, cukes, broccoli and cauliflower.

Chris - I hope your eye exam goes through correctly! And, we are putting Frontline on our outside kitty this weekend - my mom is bringing some for us. They are so thick out here, we have seen several already since it has been so wet.

Dawn and Sandra - Have a great day sweetie!!! :)

ME - Wow! You must have been tired!! I'm glad your hubby is coming home tonight. :)

Sally - poor Emma! I hope the reflux meds help. Sounds like you have a really fun week!

Good morning ladies!!

Today is a good day. It looks like it might be sunny today but in the spring here the weather can change in a moment, so who knows. The weather yesterday for the memorial was absolutely perfect. It was one of my favorite types of days. It was overcast and just a little chilly and really bright but no rain for half of the day. It was perfect funeral weather. We were talking about it while we were waiting for the cemetary section of the memorial. Like all memorials it was overly sad but a gorgeous ceremony. It was very strange for me though because it was in a Korean Presbyterian church so the whole thing was in Korean except a few things and the church was very traditional which I am not used to. They had pews and hymnals. I haven't been to a church like that in years. Koreans are such traditional people it really didn't surprise me I just don't know when the last time I sat in an actual pew was. BUt the memorial was really nice. Once the memorial was all over and everyone was headed home it started a torrential downpour. I was grateful it waited.

After the memorial we went to the mall and got Addie some sandals. I have been searching for sandlas for her and all I could find were bright colored flip-flops or really expensive sandals. I just wanted some simple white sandals for her to wear with dresses. I had gotten them at Walmart last year but they didn't have a single size 7 anywhere in the store, not just of sandals but of anything. I ended up finding a really cute pair at Burlington Coat Factory. I always forget about that store but they always have amazing prices.

So, as some of you saw on my facebook I GOT MY CAMERA!!!! It didn't get to the house until late so I didn't actually get to open it up until after 10. It is so awesome!!! I cannot wait to play with it. I ended up ordering a Nikon D60 and I am soooooo excited about it. I wanna play. So, I am taking it to work with me to play. I won't be able to use my laptop until tomorrow since I don't have a charger and it will be coming in the mail today. So I can start downloading all my NSD kits and organizing them. Sometimes I feel like I soend mre time downloading and organizing than scrapping. So sad!!

Well, I have to do some dishes before I run off and do the dishes before work so...

Chris - I am sorry you are cold and feeling crummy. I'll have a chat with Mother Nature for you and see if you can get some new weather. Good luck finding a medicaid contact place. Does Walmart carry them for Medicaid??

Dawn - I hope you got to work on time. Such the procrastinator. lol!! Have a great day!!

Sandra - Good luck getting on the treadmill today. I have trouble getting motivated to exercise too. It is just no fun.

ME - I hope dh gets home soon for you. I understand those gray skies. My aunt and uncle just left DC to go to San Diego. They were sick of DC...the weather, the politics (crazy, since that's how they make a living is by working for the Republican party), etc. So they moved to the complete opposite side of the country into the sunshine. I would love to live in the sunshine but I don't know about San Diego. Maybe a little too much sunshine. I guess there is no pleasing me.

Sally - poor little Emma. You could always add fiber to some apple sauce or something. Also...here's an idea for you for your bad meal planning...go to www.easymealprep.com You should be able to find some local meal prep places where you go and spend 2 hours pre making meals (they have everything all set up for you to do it...everything is cut, prepared and most importantly...purchased) then you put them in your freezer and just have to pull it ou in the morning. You can get them usually to feed 4-6 depending on the company. This website has a list of most of the companies that offer this service. If you don't want to spend the 2 hours there you can have them put together for you. I don't know how we would survive without this. With Derek and I boith working full time we wouldn't eat until 9 somedays otherwise. So, check it out.

To everyone that comes later. Have a fabulous day!!

Tali - missed you while I was writing my novel of a post...I hope you guys have fun in the garden and get everything done. Have a great day!!

okay...so i just got that Chris's title is MONDAY, may 5th HA!!!!! you are too funny, my calendar challenged girlie...

or have i truly converted you over to a monday lover???? LOL!!

At least it is warm rain. It could be rainy and 40 degrees out. A little bit of a bright side to the gloomy weather maybe. Either way...definitely practice your quack.
