Daily Ooo's: Monday May 24

Happy Monday! How is everyone today? I am trying to be :-D:nod:, when I am really feeling :brick:

But its all good- I have coffee- anyone care for some? :tea:

How was everyone's weekend?
Mine was really fun- we had my family over for Scott's b-day Friday night, then NYC on Sat. with my FIL. Scott's present was a surprise trip to his favorite store Evolution, and then lunch at his fav restaurant, Dos Camonos. There are down in SoHo and we walked all around, I love the City!
Evolution is this awesome shop- part store, part museum LOL It has skulls, fossils, cool bugs/butterflies, replicas of skulls, bit of meteors- everything Scott thinks it totally cool. Dos Caminos is an awesome Mexcian restaurant- makes guacamole to order- so yummy!

Then we walked over to Bleeker St, Christopher St, looking for some music shops- where he was going to look for old bootlegs and all- but we didn't find them, tho we did find some interested head shops LOL Then there was a parade of sorts moving through the streets... one dance troupe looked like Gay Amish men on stilts (no offense to the Amish or the gays!) Only in NY! Love it!

Anyway--- all that walking wiped us out and yesterday we pretty much bummed around. Gary and I watched a couple of movies and that makes me cranky (I know- odd- sitting on the sofa doing nothing- it really does make me cranky!)

But here I am, its Monday and the week has begun!

Today- sunny, probably long day at work- I'm planning on it, since I couldn't connect to the work network from home last night I will have to stay late to get the work I planned done! Then I will leave the computer at work- I will come home and have me time- even if it is mopping the floor or walking on the treadmill - or both!

Oh Wow Chris...I don't think I would be able to to get up today!!! Sounds like a fab weekend for all of you, but expecially for the birthday dude!!!

Laurie....Yay for that me time!!! You go girl!!!

Well, the rain finally came!! we did have a great weekend, besides a couple of spots of the days with some downpours, it was sunny and gorgeous...now today is another story all together...it rained all night....and Mike was fussing at me, because I did not cover the grill back up after dinner last night, plus I left the lid up!! UUUGGHH!!! Well, it's just a "natual" cleaning...right? :noidea:

So Nana's Daycare is :closed_2: today. Savannah has a bad case of Pink Eye, so Sharon is staying home with her today. I got to thinking, Laurie you said it comes from runny noses, they swipe them and then into their eyes, but we did go with Jesse's preschool class on Thurs and I was chasing those little kids out of her face all day....Sharon says that she had a bit of a runny nose before that...but not here. Nana is feeling guilty!! :frusty:

Okay...so today I am going to do some major cleaning...I feel like I am always doing this....but just not enough of it!! and I bought some flowers yesterday to plant...if the rain lets up I need to plant them....

Morning all... Awake so early this morning, not sure if it was because I was tooooo warm or because of all the aches I have from shoveling dirt all weekend. Anyway 4:00am is just too darn early to be up. But why toss and turn around in bed for hours?? So I thought I would spend some time on my favorite website! Wasn't I pleasantly surprised to find that one of my layouts from the Camera Corner Challenge was picked for the GSO blog.

Which is funny, because I hesitated even posting it all for the challenge. A nice surprise!
Sounds like everyone had a pretty good weekend...and that the weather was a mixed bag, just like here, rain, then sun, then rain again. DH and I are off to the landscaping supply again today to finish off getting the mulch for the garden, ugh, more shoveling. I feel a hot bath coming on tonight. :bathbaby: Hope everyone has a great day! Hopefully I can return here later in the day.

Good Morning! I woke up this morning my hubby grumbling in the laundry room at 5:15 am. Guess who forgot to put his work clothes in the dryer! doh!! He was even headed that way before bed and I said "don't worry about it honey I'll get them you just go on into bed". LOL... Oh well, I made up for it (teeheehee). Now off to work.. Hey ladies! I was scarce last week because of finals but I'm back!!

Now I'm nervously waiting for my grades to get posted. I'm worried about one class, because I don't always understand her grading criteria. That's my Special Education class, too, which is what I want to do, so it's important to me. *Bites nails*

Soooo, I have my first OB appointment on Thursday. I'm feeling pretty pregnant, and in fact am already getting thicker around the middle. I haven't gained any weight, but my shape has just changed. Although I'm already.. hmm, how to put it...rubenesque? Full figured? I'm a size 16 petite. LOL. So I'm not what you'd call willowy, but the fat in my middle has changed shape. HAhahaha! So I can't wear the belt I usually wear because it's uncomfortable. I'm still nervous as heck because it was at this appointment last year that they couldn't find the baby's heartbeat and we learned that I had miscarried. So I'm nervous. Hearing that heartbeat will be soooo reassuring!

Atha's got a UTI again. Poor thing. She doesn't really feel sick at all, but she keeps feeling like she has to pee and she can't. Took her to urgent care on Friday and got her some antibiotics.

Well on to personals

MOLLY!!! I'm so happy you are here! Guys, you may have noticed that I've been on her team for quite some time, following her around from shop to shop and now she's here! YAY!

Chris- that sounds like such a fun weekend! It's been a long time since I've visited a big city! My husband doesn't like them. We went to San Francisco once, and I thought he was going to hyperventilate. LOL But I love to visit. I think I've seen that shop, Evolution, on tv, but I can't remember where. Sounds cool tho! Plus... MMMMmmmMmmM Mexican food! Fun fun fun!

Laurie- Mopping? Is that fun for you? Wish it was for me. I swear my girls produce crumbs from their bodies. Hope you get some time for you!

Linda- Oh no, pink eye! I hope nobody else gets it! EEK! Don't feel guilty, c'mon. You know how it is, kids end up with all kinds off embarrassing, yucky, uncomfortable conditions. I'll never forget the day my son got sent home from school because he had head lice nits. No actual lice, but eggs. We went to the department store on the way home because I needed moisturizer. At the Clinique counter, the lady asked him why he wasn't in school and he said, "I have head lice!" LOL

Trudy- GORGEOUS, Woman! That's beautiful, it sort of reminds me of an elegant wedding card. That photo is awesome! What a thrill!

Hey ladies. real quick...as is usual these days. I miss my ramblings. I have no need to journal, you guys just get all of my journaling here instead. LOL!! Anyway, off for an allergy shot today. That always throws my day off and I get them 2X a week. Then DH came up with the plan for Addie to take cupcakes to her daycare since she didn't take them the last day she was there and I am going to get Ethan and take him too. So, nothing will get done in the house. Then on top of that we have a counseling appt. I am kinda excited about this one because we get to talk about Derek's MANY hobbies. Always a point of contention with us. He just has sooooooo many. So, that will be good.

I have so much to do. I hate having so much to do. It stinks. Yesterday I didn't do anything though. I mean I did stuff but nothing to get anything done. It was kinda nice. Then last night I couldn't sleep and then I woke up at 3:30. I was able to sleep again for a little bit though. That was good, and Addie slept in a little but then she woke up after having a bad dream about me and wouldn't talk to me. She was really mad about whatever happened in her dream. She finally got over it but she was sure angry at me.
