I cannot believe that it is halfway through May already. The weather here is still so cold. it is crazy to think that the lake/beach will be open in 2 weeks.

yesterday was a quiet day- yay! watched some TV, read a bit, did some housework but not a crazy amount.
That is on my list for today. yuck.

What plans do you have for today?

MOrning my O friends- back to work for me- rainy day, so I am not missing great weather by being at work- I got my walk in- forgot I have mammo tomorrow, so will have to walk after work, but being back in a routine will be great for me. Lots more to do this month- I'll be back tonight!
 
morning all....yesterday was my husbands birthday so wasn't around...it was nice started him off with breakfast in bed...french toast and bacon....girls gave him his cards and presents....which he loved! then we just lazed around all day watching movies and stuff....dh's favorite thing to do LOL we plan to go out and see pirates of the Caribbean in theaters when he gets paid next which is the 26th we were gonna go friday but then we forgot we had a wedding to go to.....oops haha....
 
Morning!!!!!!!!!!!! Mike is home sick today....I have him an appt with the Dr at 2 pm today....he has a horrible sinus infection, but the biggest reason he is going is because he is having an allergic reaction on his skin to the medicine he has been on....they are patches and when they increased the dose last week he has big red welts in the round patches where the patch was and it's burning and itching....sigh....always something....

I will be busy with the kids this week...Traci is moving all of her stuff back up here and while she is moving I am keeping the kids (not moving back wtih me...OH NO!!!....just to a house closer to us)....so I will not be online too much again :(

Laurie - Back to work already, boy the vacation must seem like it flew by! But you are right, its not so bad when the weather is crappy!

Nana Linda - sorry that your MG is not feeling well :sick:. Yikes on the rash!! You are going to be so busy with the kids this week, hope you get some time to yourself so you can sneek in here once in a while!

Kristy - Happy belated birthday to your MG! Sounds like he got spoiled!!

Have a wonderful Monday everyone! Mine started off badly when I knocked a whole cup of coffee over and it spilled all over the counter and the floor :faint2:. Not a good way to start the day!
 
morning y'all!

we had a good and bad weekend. our DVR crashed and we lost all of our shows and couldn't record anything new (or even rewind/fast forward live tv lol) which was the bad part, but also partly good. It forced us to sit down together to watch Dr. Who 'live' instead of just watching it individually whenever we felt like it. I hadn't realized how often we do stuff 'individually' nowadays. hmmmmm, something for us to think about around here.

So, i guess if that's the worst thing happening in my life right now, things are pretty good lol

This week is "no screen" week at the kids' school
no screen meaning :
No TV, no computer, no potable play station, no smartphone, well no screen at all actually.
as you can see I'm fully participating (yup : I'm totally typing this without watching the screen at all :tongue: )... good thing my work requires I use a screen huh ? ;)

We've done it a couple of years ago already.
It's a good occasion to remember you can also do things together which do not involve screens :
listen to music, play music, read, play board games, talk, etc... :)
DH and I participate during the kids' waking hours, mbile phones excluded because we are often called on our mobiles for work issues ...

you might want to try a no screen night if a week seems a bit too scary at first, it's pretty cool :)
