HellooooOOOOO! Happy Monday to you all!

I cannot believe that it is actually the last day of March. It's been a long month for me but I won't complain. (At least I am trying not to complain. Not too much.) I feel "off" today-- tired, cranky, stressed, and overwhelmed. All them not-so-good-feels.

Yesterday got off to a crummy start. My mom showed up with bagels without my dad. He wasn't feeling well since he had surgery on Friday and didn't tell me. You know, when he called me on Friday afternoon (yes-- postsurgery) to ask to come up for b-fast. He had a recheck recently with the urologist, who saw more cancer cells and scheduled him for another surgery. When all of this happened... not a clue. All I know is that he asked my mom not to say anything when she was here on Thursday. He didn't say anything on Friday on the phone or in any of the texts on Saturday.
I wasn't happy about this not telling the kids bit (again) but also this is the third time the cancer has come back. Which is pretty worrying to me.
I was upset and Cait and Gary were aggravated that I was upset, which ticked me off even more. At one point, I wasn't even sure of the who/what/why I was angry.
That seemed to trigger my POTS symptoms and the heart palpitations and skipped beats were happening all day. Which is annoying as well! Annoying and utterly exhausting.

I slept really well last night but even so, I woke up not feeling all that great.
No plans today other than talking to my brother. He texted me at 7 am to ask when I'd be available for him to call. I love my brother but I am not looking fwd to that. He is going to yell/grumble about how my dad has to stop keeping health "secrets" and I am going to agree, he is going to yell some more, and I am going to agree some more. BTDT. Lather/rinse/repeat.

This faery is a downer. Sorry 'bout that!
Feel free to do this to me:

t's been a long month for me but I won't complain. (At least I am trying not to complain. Not too much.)
HAHAHAHA!!
:oops2:

Looks like all I did was complain. I am very sorry!

On to happier things-- personals!

@BoatLady I asked Gary about any wood tools he had, and the burner stopped working a while agobut he does have an engraver. I am going to play around with it on some scrap wood and see what designs I'll be able to do. TY again for a great idea!

@BrightEyes How are you holding up? How are your kids? I wish I could hug you in person or sit and have a cup of tea with you.

The bird setting is on my Nikon camera. My new one captures a burst of 10 photos with one push of the button on the bird setting to capture movement. But the downside is having to weed out all of the blurry pictures.
How neat!!
We you able to get out on a ride yesterday?

Good morning ladies. Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I've not been around lately, other than taking care of CT stuff. I've been busy with my jewelry biz, designing and getting pieces ready for sale. I've decided that even if the store doesn't have room for me yet, I will apply to some of the local artisan markets so need to get stockpile. It won't always be this busy but right now there is a lot to get started, on the design and business end of things. My biz cards come by mid April, can't wait to be able to give those out.
That's such a good plan to branch out to several shops if you can. Good luck!
Good Morning Ladies.
Whenever I type that I hear Robin Williams from Good Morning Vietnam.
Same!! Especially when I write "gooooOd mornign- O-Fam!" It always comes into my head as that soundbite.

Yes, it will all work out but this planner who's organized is going crazy with the lack of solid plans and information.
I feel the anxiety. 100%. And nope, I am not Gumby either :p
PS: I am in that 1% organzier like you are, if your DH's stats are correct :giggle4:
Glad that you made it through and I hope that the rest of your Sunday went well.

Well the Ladies Spring Tea is over!!!! I'm exhausted. 11: 00 to 5:30 was a very long day on my feet...TENS machine help me. 4 of us in the kitchen served 102 women about 900 tea sandwiches and 900 desserts. The tea and water was delivered from another area in the club so I'm not sure of the amounts of teas and water...but it was allot. Tomorrow is clean up, wash 13 tables of dishes, water goblets and silverware to wash and put away..

I sure need to sit down now to take it easy.
OMG, that is a lot of work. Please try to take it nice and easy today.

Any takers on your nesting material?
Not that I have noticed but there are plenty of dried leaves and plants all around the patio area. I'm one of those-- "leave it on the ground for insulation" so the critters of all shapes/sizes/leg formations have plenty of stuff to use.
I was super excited, I think I had a red-bellied woodpecker come to the feeder yesterday!
I think I have seen more/different species of birds in the last two weeks than I have in the past 10 years.
That's so neat that the parakeet has been coming back!

Tracy- I wouldn't have had a bird feeder 15 years ago when we had many black bears come through our yard. We have so few in this particular area that I am not too worried. (Again, your bears are way different than NJ!) If I see any, I'll take it down for a while.
Good that you keep an eye on your puppies with the eagles. Yikes.

Have a wonderful day, my friends!!

Morning, all. Woke up just before 6AM when I heard my cell phone chime. Up and fumbling for it before I was completely awake. It wasn't a text from DD#3 - but a notice that there was a FB post.... Haven't figured out how to turn those chimes off!!! Grrrr!! At least I was able to sleep all night. DD#3's hubby is holding his own, She called me last evening after she left the hospital (she spent all day there). They will be discussing future treatment/plans with his doctor today. So it is wait and see time. I am hanging in there - doing a few chores around the house and reading some to keep my mind occupied. . . . old favorites that are comforting to read. ;) And talking with my sister on the phone. DD#1 and her hubby will be on Thursday so I have that to look forward to. Glad she will be here on Friday (the day of Son-in-law's funeral).

Sorry I'm not up to doing personals right now... I know you all understand why. Thanks for all the caring and love you have sent to my family and me. :grouphugyay:

So sorry to hear of your dad's health problems! I don't know why he feels he has to keep it a secret from you! Praying for a better day for you!

I had a restful weekend. Weather was nice and we got out for a bike ride yesterday. The peach orchards are in bloom and just acres of pink right below the mountains. Gorgeous. Plus all the flowering cherries and such (and invasive Bradford pears, boo hiss) are in bloom everywhere. I took a nice picture of an artist painting in the orchard; I hope I can use it for one of the challenges in April. It felt good to get a good 20 mile ride in.

We tried out a new winery with some friends on Saturday, so I have nothing to complain about. Even had the windows open, it was that warm. Can you believe it's almost April already? Holy cow, how does that happen so fast?

When we are visiting the kids next month, we plan to take them to Vancouver for a couple days, taking the train up from Seattle. But last week Amtrak pulled a bunch of cars from the route, and the comfortable, fun train ride has turned into a bus trip. Maybe they'll get the train back by then but I'm not counting on it. I'm working on changing my expectations to "the bus will be fun, even without a cafe car!

I hope everyone has a peaceful day. I will start mine with Costco. Say a prayer LOL!

Have a wonderful day, my friends!!
My daughter has borrowed my new Nikon to take pics at her son's school formal this weekend. I used my old Nikon yesterday..... on our bike ride..... that I gave to Mark to use in the woods! It was a wonderful ride! Not long, but long enough!

Don't worry about us, Kay! Concentrate on your family! :hug4:

Good morning,
Mark and I rode the bike yesterday even though our pastor and his wife could not join us. We had a great ride, just hitting the back roads! The only thing I just remembered is that I didn't capture a shadow picture of us on the bike! Oh well! Another day!

Placed a grocery order to be picked up between noon and 1 but it is already ready for pickup so I will be doing that as soon as I'm done here. Laundry is in the works. It is cloudy out and we are supposed to have thunderstorms. Mark and I are going to lunch. Nothing else planned except to go through the pics I took on our bike ride yesterday. I'm hoping to scrap some pages from the trip.

OK, that's it for me. I will stop and make the church bank deposit while out getting groceries and then after I put the groceries away head over to pick Mark up for lunch! YES!!! Thank the LORD the engine light is still OFF!!!!! dance4:bouncing::banana::cucumber::claphands2::highfive::smiliesdoingwave:

Have a great day!

Chris, it's not complaining, it's expressing yourself and life at the moment.... So keep on, better here then yelling at others, like your Dad...:cool::beatingheart: @faerywings

Kay, take care, I think of you and your family often, sending thoughts and hugs.. :heartpumppink: @BrightEyes

Good Monday Morning O friends!! It is a sunny morning so far, hope that it continues through the whole day! Well today is DH's last day at work and I have no more lunches to make :yesss: :bouncing::dancingbfly::dancing6:. No more waking up to the alarm going off at 5:30am :alarmclock: He most likely won't get too much work done today as he needs to clean out his desk and hand in all of keys and security passes and say a final good bye to his co workers. I think he is very ready for this to happen! He asked me to register him for our hiking group today and pay the yearly fee, so he must be planning on joining in on some of the hikes with me Hooray! We are doing a very easy one this week, so it will be a good one for him to start with. We had a lovely time with SIL Linda's 70th birthday party and enjoyed good steak and I made stuffed potatoes for the others and Cauliflower mash for DH and myself along with Cheesy Garlic Roasted Asparagus and a Cesar Salad with shrimp. It was delicious!! Gary and I got Linda a 70 dollar gift certificate to her favourite Nail and Pedi place for her 70th birthday and a lovely local bottle of wine. She was very happy!! Anyway yesterday was spent doing :vacuuming: and :laundry: and a bit of napping too . Sure hope that the weather continues to get better and better so we can get out in the gardens and do some clean up and weed pulling. I have a bush in the backyard that I need to replace as it perished over the winter darn it. So a trip to the nursery will be happening one of these days.
I hope that everyone has a lovely Monday!

Sorry that you are not in a good mood today! I know how frustrating it is when the relatives keep secrets about their health!! I wonder what FIL will say or not say when he goes for his drivers medical this month? Hope you don't yell at your brother or that he doesn't yell at you, but ya I get what you mean!! At least you slept really well last night and hey its ok to complain, you've had a lot of not being able to get out and about lately, no wonder your mood is not good!! Sending lots of healing vibes and good thoughts for the rest of your day! :loveangel:

@bcgal00 - You are such a busy woman!! How exciting to be starting off on a new business, hope your jewelry making goes well and you get to have your products in the local stores!! I know you will do well, your designs are gorgeous!

Off to the shower and make the bed, then I think another cup of coffee before I get some things caught up with around the O! :cowwaving:

Good Morning My O Family!

That seemed to trigger my POTS symptoms and the heart palpitations and skipped beats were happening all day. Which is annoying as well! Annoying and utterly exhausting.
:heartpumppink: I'm sorry you were triggered. Its the worst. And it takes SO much out of you. Feels like you need a whole day to recover from the symptoms alone. No wonder you feel off today.
He is going to yell/grumble about how my dad has to stop keeping health "secrets" and I am going to agree, he is going to yell some more, and I am going to agree some more. BTDT. Lather/rinse/repeat.
I hate, all caps size 100 font bold letter HATE family secrets when it comes to medical. I am sorry your brother will do this pattern with you but I feel the pain. I've had too much medical secrets in my life and it make me angry! Let your brother call me, I. will help him spin up about medical secrets :giggle4:
This faery is a downer. Sorry 'bout that!

I dont wanna do that, can I just do this instead?

Its okay to vent. Look at the volcanos, they blow then they just sit peacefully afterwards. Sometimes ya gotta steam and let it out so you dont explode.
DD#3's hubby is holding his own,
Kay I'm glad DD3 hubby is holding his own. Keeping you wrapped in hugs as you go through this time.

This sounds blissful! I can only imagine how amazing it is to see so much blooming at once and how the colors must just cover the ground and sky. Cant wait to see the photo!!!
YES!!! Thank the LORD the engine light is still OFF!!!!
WOOOT WOOOOTTT!!!!!!! This is awesome!!!!! So thankful the light is still off. I bet your mechanic is sleeping soundly right now knowing you haven't brought it back.

@taxed4ever Trudy! You made it!!!! Last day!!!! How exciting!!! I bet its a happy sad day for hubs. I wonder if he picked today because its last day of month or because it will be less busy and easier to say goodbye.

Today is Monday so will be cleaning house today. Since tomorrow is the 1st I will do the First Monday of Month cleaning. Under fridge, under couch, etc. That way I will be free tomorrow to look at challenges and AJ and see what I can create. I haven't gotten much personal scrapping done but I have finished sorting all the purchases. Yesterday went as expected. Its funny sometimes how things go. I was in the corner and no-one shared my table. I would smile and watch people glance my way, avert eyes and walk faster as they power walked away to other tables. Most of the people who talked to me were my volunteers. I did get 4 sign ups, but two are super busy and maybe next September they can help but not consistently. One is a senior in high school and can help the next two weeks but yeah that's all. And one, I really want!! He said he loves to clean and would love to help me deep clean the kitchen. Kitchen needs a deep clean, like pull all things out of cupboards and wipe them down so I will plan that for May and see how many helpers I can get.

Well, time for second cup of coffee and the dog needs in. Its cool 28*F and she's done being outside for now. Have a wonderful day!

Oh @MariJ I wanted to tell you I love your siggy Marilyn. Its adorable!!!

Oh I should have said! Vancouver BC. We've been twice and it's my favorite city I've ever been to. I'm looking forward to introducing it to my granddaughters. I have always been there in June, so I'm just crossing my fingers the weather in late April will be nice enough to rent bikes and ride around Stanley Park.

@faerywings So sorry to hear about your parents and with holding info. My inlaws used to do it to us and instructed their day nurse not to say anything to us. The nurse knew us well and had to say something to us a few times! It is so frustrating.
@BrightEyes sending good thoughts your way

Good morning ladies. I am popping in to say hi before I get started on some more designs before we head out this afternoon for errands and dog walking. I'm connecting with other jewelry designers on IG and it is fun to chat and see all their gorgeous designs. I get so many good ideas from them.

New curtains have arrived (2 orders were wrong size and sent back so third time was the charm LOL) and are hung up. It's not easy finding curtains 120" long but I finally found some on Wayfair I liked.

A good telus tech came out on the wkend, he was awesome and got everything replaced and working. He gave us his card and said to call anytime we have questions or need him to pop over. I had him pick out a few bracelets to give to his wife. He was thrilled to be going home with a gift for her.

@AK_Tracy You said "stranger stranger" but in my head I heard "danger danger" as in Lost In Space LOL. Don't know why that popped into my head LOL.

@faerywings Hugs for you all and prayers for your dad. Try not to worry.

@taxed4ever How wonderful that G will join you on the hikes. He's off to a good start!

I've got to get going but want to make sure I stop in and visit more often which is a bit hard with all this jewelry stuff happening but I'll work it out :)

Yes Vancouver is a pretty city!! We love to go over on the Hulo ferry and spend time at the downtown harbour area, hopefully you will see lots of blossoms and sunny weather!

Monday greetings from NH. Let's face it. Every time I say I'll be here more, another quarter goes by. But, I'm back! Maybe for a little longer this time I finally have a much needed week off. I won't bore you with the work details but it's been a very long fifteen months.
This morning I slept in, the made cat food and did laundry. Tired from doing NOTHING... I took a nap. lol
Now I'm ready to play. My mojo has disappeared for some time and I haven't been happy with much I've created. Imagine my surprise when I saw I have two pieces in tonight's newsletter. Totally made my day.
To everyone struggling today... here is to a better tomorrow.
Love to all of you!!!!

Yes, Mark and I had a great day yesterday. After our bike ride, we stopped at Wendy's for their wonderful Apple Pecan salad for our supper and we played some games out on the deck when we got home! When we finished the games we ate our salad in front of the TV.

Sounds like your dear SIL had a wonderful 70th birthday!

It was 26 degrees this morning, but did warm up enough to melt the ice and most of the 2 inches of snow we got Saturday. Had a follow-up at the doc this morning . I forgot about my blood draw on Friday and saw the reminder after my 2 hour workout, so dehydrated, and it messed with my numbers, which I told the lab tech, and she said "don't worry. " Well, when you're there for sodium level check & you can see it all on the top of your hand. I have been trying to up my sodium, but there it went. I also had them X-ray my right hip. I hope it's bad enough to replace. It started giving out in the restroom at the Key West airport on the home, at least it was end not beginning. I did the Walter Brennan shuffle through the airport & planes on the way home. I know, most of you are too young to remember Walter Brennan.

@BrightEyes Family first especially with what you are handling. More prayers & hugs coming your way.

Dont you love when they say "dont worry" before they steal your blood and then the results are messed up. Drives me crazy. Need fasting blood well ya didn't tell me oh well dont worry UGH. Hope the x-ray goes in your favor and you can get the replacement.
