Wowowowow!!! Halfway through March?? Seriously?? All I want to know is when the warm weather is going to get her and stay.
We have had 4 days of cold wind and rain. Snow showers today, possibly. Blech!
Not to mention we need some sun to dry up all the rain (so the eensy weensy spider can go up the spout again... no no no...) . We need the ground to dry. And the basement.... yes....

Linda W- oh no- your family just keeps getting hit with these bugs! Ugh :( Hope that you all feel better. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and you
can open those windows and get some fresh air.

Linda S- that's a long day you had- but you had fun and that is what counts. :)

Sally- feel better too- are you taking your garlic?

Elisa- hope the rest of your weekend was great.

To everyone- Happy Monday!

Good morning ladies! I'm on vacation today and tomorrow so feeling like doing the happy dance. I do have to go in for a couple of hours for a meeting this afternoon, but I didn't have to spring forward to get up this morning! YAY!

late morning all back from my dancing weekend- it was fun and tiring and fun and I think between friday night at the studio's party, then sat and sunday I (& others using my camera) took- over 500 photos- did I say it was fun and I took today off- hurray

on for a quick update... I've got to learn to slow down... it's something I'm always working on. I'm actually doing much better being relaxed about things and not rushing around so much. But part of my head is always in the clouds... which is not so good really. I got another speeding ticket today. Never ever in my life have I ever gotten a speeding ticket... til 2 weeks ago... then again today. Funny thing is? I wasn't rushing anywhere. To me I was just leisurely driving along. apparently, I was doing 67 in a 40 zone (KM). hum. so... I've got to really really focus and pay more attention. used my cruise as much as possible on the rest of the way home because seriously, TWO tickets? well even ONE? is ridiculous!!!

anyway... parents are here TOMORROW... YAY!

off to get some more laundry done & tidy the basement where they stay.

hugs ladies, happy monday.

Hey everybody, remember me? :waves:

Lotta stuff has happened in the last.. month? since I've been hanging out here. Well, first for the good news. Vince is coming home for his R n R leave early! Yay!! He leaves Afghanistan on the 23rd, and hopefully will be home by the 25th. They travel on a strange and circuitous route when they travel on commercial airlines, usually through Ireland for some reason. SO my hubby has been to Ireland half a dozen times, but has never left the airport. LOL. Anyway. We should be seeing him soon! We have a little mini-vacation planned for the 28-30th. Going to Great Wolf lodge for one night, which is ultra expensive but I paid for it out of our tax return. And then one night in the Residence Inn Marriott 4 minutes from GWL which I booked on Priceline for $99. It is supposedly a 3 1/2 star hotel, so that will be nice.
Anyway. Good times! He'll be here for just under 2 weeks.

Now for the other news. Genny has been just out of control lately. She's healthy and everything, but has gone wild behavior-wise. Like biting herself and Atha, and she broke some of the keys off of Atha's computer keyboard, she walked right off the top of the monkey bars the other day- she just said, "I want to get down" and walked off before I could run over there and try to grab her. Fell 5 feet or so and barely missed smacking her head on the bars. And today when I was unloading the kids from the truck after school, she turned around and ran straight into the street. I had to run and tackle her like a football player. Skinned her knee. I felt bad, but heck, there were cars coming!!
All of this stuff is typical for her condition, but I really felt like she was functioning a lot better than that. Unfortunately I was wrong. I've been trying to get ahold of her pediatrician for an evaluation, and to see if there's anything that can be done. I don't want to medicate her, but then I also don't want her to walk out of the house in the middle of the night, and she can open all of the doors now, too!

I haven't been talking about it on Facebook because my inlaws are all on there and I don't want them calling me all the time. They mean well, but. I ain't got the time, kwim!

Anyway, so I haven't had any energy to to much of anything besides school lately. I missed you guys, tho!
How's everybody doing??

AndreaB- Yea for the good news, and hope that pediatrician can help you on the behavior front,I was just thinking the other day that you hadn't posted in a bit, and here you are! Enjoy that family time. Do you suppose the excitement of the upcoming homecoming may be affecting her behavior?

Good morning!!

So, today is finally Ethan's sharing day for the cruise. I have everything we need, including a map of the Caribbean, which reminds me I need to go to the car and get it to draw in our route and stuff. Ethan is really excited. I didn't get the pics picked up yesterday which stinks, but I'll get them on the way to the school. No biggie. It will be fun.

I guess I got a patient in the middle of this. Well, I have now been to Ethan's school and back now. That was a lot of fun. I'm sure we took way longer than the teacher intended on us taking but it was still fun and they were all pretty excited about it. Some of the equipment they have is just unreal. they have a picture thing that displays pictures on the wall. I remember having to check out the overhead projectors because our school didn't have enough yet and when they did they had those roller things. It was fun though. He was in high heaven for sure.

So, on Saturday I went to the outlet stores to try and find Addie some pants. She went and grew out of all of her pants at one time. She doesn't grow, so when she is finally too big for something it seems to happen overnight and all of her clothes are so worn out by then. So we went shopping. There was nothing. They are only selling capris. What the heck!!! We live in Washington. We celebrate the Seattle Rain Festival January 1 - December 31. So, I found her a few pairs of jeans but no khakis or pink pants like I was hoping. She has the cutest pain of pink cords right now she's about to grow out of. I'm really bummed about that. I did find her some really cute shoes on clearance though and then when I went to get them out of my car they weren't there. This morning I called and thankfully they were at the info ceneter at the outlet center. I just have to drive down and get them. Blah!! No complaints really though.

Well, I know I have more to write, I just can't think of it. I was attempted to be told by a 12 year old today. He was trying to tell me and his dad while I was taking an x-ray of his knee that he was being taught that his lower leg had a tibula and fibula. I told him that no, it was a tibia and fibula. I did take college level Anatomy and all. he told me and his dad that his teacher told him and it was in his papers that it was in fact a tibula not the tibia and ran off to get his papers. It was the tibia. It was pretty funny. Me and his dad started talking about teenagers and how they need to get a job and a life quick while they still knew everything...all in good fun of course. We were not being mean by any means.

Anyway...

Chris - that stinks on your flooded basement. I hope you don't have anything down there. That wouldn't be cool. I am hoping you can get some sun. I am also hoping that Scott has a better week.

Linda S - Yay for vacation. Anything exciting planned for these days? I hope something fun for you.

Laurie - Can't wait to some pics either!! 500 pics? Wow!! Sounds like you had a blast although I'm sure the day off for rest is welcomed. Enjoy it and use it to just chill.

Andrea - A ticket? What the heck?? Exciting about your parents though. Enjoy them while they are there.

Okay, I am off. Ciao!!

Who is this Andrea girl posting in our forum?? Lol!! We've missed ya girl!! I am so glad to hear that Vince is coming home for his R&R early. That is awesome. I hope you guys are able to enjoy his time home. How scary and stressful about Genny. I hope her Ped can offer some help. How is school going for you? I hope it is coming along nicely. I've been wondering how you have been doing. Try and post at least a little note and let us know you are doing okay lady. It is awesome to hear from you.
