The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Wow, Monday again.... already! Why is it that the weekends just fly by?? I so needed another day to sleep a bit late. I woke up at 3 am to hear it raining again. Yesterday was actually very nice weather-wise, but I had so much to do inside my house, I never got a chance to work outside. It would have been too wet to do much but it would have been nice to try.
And now, cold and rainy and humid again, this is just nuts!

I'm sorry I never made it back for personals yesterday. I was so busy trying to get my house back in order, and then when I hopped on the computer, I was trying to catch up on all of the scary insanity happening in Iran. I hope that that settles down peacefully, very soon. I can hope, right?

Good morning Dawn! oh, I totally know you are busting about Davy. he sounds like a sweet and mischievous little guy but you love him with all your heart :) When I was teaching, someone "donated" an angora (?) rabbit to our school. It was in my classroom so I was the lucky one that got to take care of it. He was big, cranky and mean, didn't like to be handled and had so many knots in his fur, that the school had to call a groomer to come in. He was nothing like Davy!

I forget how lucky I am to live to so close to NYC, I looove going in there and don't get to as much as I would like. Very expensive! But so exhilarating!

Sara- woot on your new printer!!!! Have fun with your butterfly larvae!

Linda- How was Up? I have heard mixed reviews on it, not that reviews necessarily mean much. And no rain??? Wow, I am really jealous on that! LOL
BTW- the job you do for your kids/grandkids is probably more appreciated by them than any other office would be. And much more rewarding :)

Clara- how was the lake? Congrats on your brother's engagement!

Sandra- GOOD LUCK!!!!!! You are gong to do great today and so will the kids. Sounds like they had a great weekend. And how cool that they'll be on a lot of field trips- sounds like they have lots to look forward too.
Just take deep breaths!!! xoxoxo

(Dawn- my hair was a frizz-ball by the time I got home -- I looked like Rosanne Rosannadanna!!!)

And to all of my O-Fam, hope it is a fabulous day!

good morning... quick fly-by for me... I'm having some breakfast and getting ready for work... hoping I get to see the kids before I go...

Chris - thanks hon... :)

hope everyone has a great day! I'll check back in tonight when I get home!

Good Morning Ladies:)

Today is the first day of Cameran's Kindergarten Readiness Camp...he goes for half a day for 3 weeks to get them used to the school and routine...he's excited!! I will be picking him up everyday...that's what he's most excited about......I am getting my hair done today...Not working, I tend to let it go a really long time in between...I try to work around when we go visit my step-daughter in TN...she does hair and they own their own shop...and she is SOOOOOOOO good...right after I get it done, people compliment me a lot and want to know who does my hair....I always say if they want to drive 3-4 hours, I can hook them up!! I have a girl here in town too...she just isn't as good. But it just costs so much..YIKES!! And I am really poor right now...I have a new laptop to pay for!! Guess I will have Cameran the rest of the summer, and I am excited. I want to take him to the transportation museum one day, and they built a new science museum that opened a few months ago and I want to take him there. His mom and dad will probably take him too, but he and I really like to do stuff like that!

Well...I am off to the shower and pay bills..YUCK...and a couple of chores...Have a GREAT MONDAY!!

Chris...so HAPPY:p you had a great time in NYC...wish I could go..never been...my girls went in school...maybe one day we will get there. Funny about your hair...I LOVE Rosanna Rosannadanna...she was one of my all time favs on SNL!! Wish I could send you some of our weather...it has gotten really nice...just a little too hot too soon....and the movie..UP..well it was not too bad...I have definately seen better, but then end was hilarious! Cameran liked it pretty good...his mom and dad took him last weekend to see Night at the Museum...he said he liked that better.

Sandra...Lots of luck to you today..check back and fill us in on how your first day went!

Everyone else....{{hugs}}...

Morning morning!

I about to get ready to take Ben to day care so I can finish up some scrapping product and print them out on my new printer. =) The color is so good on it. Woot!!

Chris - Bummer about the rain. It was beautiful all weekend for us. But it's cloudy today. There's storms just north of us, I'm not sure if they are going to drop down or not. And sometimes I wish I could go back to being a kid where I didn't know the insanity that goes on in the world. Oh...and Up. It is a pretty good story, but I don't think it's really for little kids the way most Pixar movies are. Ben would have been bored...liked Cameran kind of was with Linda. It's much better for adults. It really didn't have enough action and funny stuff in it to hold the kids.

Sandra!!! Good luck honey! I know you'll have a fabulous first day. (Since you're probably reading this after...I know you HAD a fabulous first day. hee hee)

Linda - Sounds like you've got great plans with Cameran. I think I'm taking Ben to a museum this week. Not sure how all the plans will go this week.

Ona - If you're reading this later....it's easy to be fast on a Designer Spotlight when you had a head start as a guest Cheery O. =) I knew about the challenge and had a little head start. Since the server move pushed things back a week, it seems like forever since I started working on that layout. =)
I miss being a Cheery O. =( Wish we could all be Cheery O's forever. =)

O.k. Better go get Ben dressed! Have a good day ladies!

Hey girlies!!!

I am feeling soooo much better this week!! I did the right thing in taking M-TH off last week. We went to the beach on Friday morning and left at noon to come back (an hour away) to meet Mr Gorgeous!! He flew home from CA. *sigh* It was like my life was complete!

I know you guys get tired of me talking about the wonderful attributes of my husband, but I just have to brag one more time!! (I'll throw in a little reality, just to make you guys feel better!! ahahahahahah) Yesterday, as we were getting ready to leave for church, Emma (my quasi-sick stomached girlie...who is doing a lot better, btw...amazing how life can distract us from feeling sick!!) had a "breakfast melt-down". I had enough of that at the beginning of the week (the big reason my week was soooo hard!!) so i just went with the other three kids and got in the car! Mr Gorgeous was not feeling so generous and basically let her have it! (that's the reality...sometimes we parents aren't perfect!!) I was worried about him being in a bad funk all morning. Then during church, our associate pastor got up and told us that it was "you are the pastor" sunday. We do this occassionally to stir things up. So people can get up and share a song or their favorite scriptures or just a word from God. It's really neat (if people don't get too longwinded!! LOL!!! like i am right now!!)! So several people got up and it was awesome. Then Mr Gorgeous gets up. He's an excellent speaker, so I wasn't worried or anything...but he went to the piano. Then he says he had written this song and he really didn't want to perform it yet, but he really felt like he was supposed to share it. Then he says..."This is a love song to my wife..." Immediately, I'm bawling! my friends are passing me tissues!! aahahahahah!! He shared a scripture about how wealth is from God...and how wealth is not just about money. Then he sang this song...*SWOON* it was fantastic!!! I can't wait for him to record it and send it to Nashville!! it's about being a wealthy man because of his wife and family!! sooo cool!!

Anyway, so I'll probably be in a good mood all week cause of that...heeheee!!! and now you see why I can't help but talk about him non-stop!! LOL!!

Also, this week, my kids are each in a camp. Emma and Quentin are doing a drawing art camp. It is fabulous!!! Emma already loves her teacher, which I'm thrilled about, because she doesn't usually like to be in a new situation. So this was a huge victory!! and then, cora and Lillian are in a Vocal/Drama camp. They are still there so I'm hoping Lillian is focusing! LOL!! We'll see when I go to pick them up! :)

boy, I'm talky today!! I must be feeling a lot better!!! totally refreshed and renewed and glad it's Monday!! there is a newness I needed that I am embracing!! Embrace it with me and we can enjoy life together!! BTW, did you see I'm over the 8000 mark?? I'm still going for the 10,000...I'm okay if I don't make it, but I know my result will be higher if my goal is! :)

Chris, I soooo wish i could go to NYC with you!!! hugs to your whole fam!! :)

Sandra, hope your first day at work was a BLAST!!! :) :)

Linda, I am a museum fanatic, too!! This is another reason I love homeschooling, cause we can go when there aren't as many school kids there...soooo fun!! :)

Sara!!!!!!!! my bff!!!! I love hearing your summer escapades!! SAHM-ing looks good on you!! :) (and I'm loving these camps this week so I can enjoy a little mommy time in stores!! I totally thought of you today in Borders. have you read this book? The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. Just wondering if it was worth buying? i just finished the Last Olympian by Rick Riordan...awesome awesome series!! Time to start Jane Eyre... :)

okay...off to eat some lunch then leave some Sue Cummings love in the gallery!! Have you seen her spotlight LOs???? And now Joannes????? OMGosh...so much goodness in one place...*sigh* i'm in heaven!! :)

love you all!

Sally my girl, you make me smile so much. =) I have not read that book, but it looks fantastic. Have you read the Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde? I think you might like it. I enjoyed the Last Olympian. Just read the newest 39 Clues, it was better than the last one, so that's good.

My PT SAHM possibilities are on hold. DH had a crummy time at work last week and is thinking about changing jobs again. =( So any house and part time thoughts are on hold til we see how he's feeling and what he's thinking about that. He totally supported me for five years when I was trying to figure out my life, so I need to make sure he's first right now. =) Whatever is supposed to happen will happen.

Your man certainly seems like the prize Sally. =) I'm glad you found someone you are so lucky and in love with! =)

O.k. gotta go finish my MIL's mother's day calendar present...I know...I know..I'm late. =)

Good afternoon.

I have beeni n a weid mood over the past few weeks. I think my allergies have just been kicking my butt and making me just unmotivated. I am not posting as much as I would like to and have just been kinda blah. Plus I have let the Gilmore Girls take over my life. It is so bad to have entire seasons on DVD. I have the first 6 seasons so I have just been watching them like crazy. Bad Clara!! Well, I figure I will be done watching them soon and will have to rejoin the world again. It has been nice being able to watch them while I've been feeling icky and blah.

So, let me tell you a littl ebit about allergies for those of you who don't have them. First of all they suck. I hate them and they suck. Did I mention that they suck?? I never had allergies growing up but for some reason the air in Italy made the antibodies in my body freak out and I have been a mess ever since. I get the whole works too...itchy eyes, runny/stuffed nose, asthma and headaches. It is absolutely miserable. Plus when it is cold season I seem to be more prone to getting stuff and then it hits harder because my sinuses are already being affected. I am so thankful that I am going to get tested and eventually start my shots. I hate that it will take years to get it under control, but I'd rather it take years than deal with this forever. Anyway...sorry to run on about my allergies but it just has me feeling like crap these days, although I am sure I don't have it nearly as bad as other people who have different chronic problems. I'm just busy feeling sorry for myself.

So...feeling sorry for myself session is over. I actually feel a bit better now that it is out of my system. Today has been a decent day. I had to go to work a little bit late. I got a call from my boss saying I couldn't go to work until I got my TB testing and PAPR training(the equipment you use if treating a patient with TB so that you don't get it). Since I work off site I have to get a blood draw instead of getting the regular TB test. Unfortunately the nurse completely missed my vein and so I had to take even longer to go to the lab and have them do the draw. I hate when I can't just have my hubby draw my blood. I know that seems weird to have your dh draw your blood but he is really good at it and has never missed my vein or had to readjust to find it. He's a rockstar at that stuff.

So, I think dh is starting to deal with the possibility of reenlisting much better. I am very glad about that. I am hopeful that they will start 18 year retirements, which they do when democrats are in office but with the way things are looking with N. Korea and the Middle East. I'm not so sure that they will be looking at decreasing the military in the near future. We'll see. That is still a few years out. 4 years just sounds so much better than 6. Either way I have it in my head that we will be moving sometime in the next year or two. We have been here at Ft. Lewis for too long to not get some orders. So this summer I want to start getting rid of things and start selling stuff. We have so much junk. If we move we will probably end up putting a lot of stuff in starage I think. My only issue with moving is that we will end up at Ft. Bragg, NC or Ft. Hood, TX. I have no real issue with either place except that neither of them are my speed. If we are able to rent out our house, since I know selling it won't work out well for us I think I could possibly try and get a part time job so that I could spend more time with the kids. I really think this will work out well for us. We'll see. I'm just glad dh is not so upset by everything and is starting to think about all of us instead of just what he wants to do. It is so easy to get into a mode of thinking about yourself when it doesn't really effect anyone else, ya know?

So...it is less than a week until I hurl myslef out of a perfectly good airplane and as far as I know dh still doesn't know what we are doing. My sis was going to make us breakfast that day but I was afraid I might get sick if we had too big of a breakfast so we are having a big authentic mexican dinner instead. I am going to make fried ice cream. I got the recipe online from Emeril. It looks so yummy. I'll have to let you know how it comes out. It sounds yummy.

Today, I got to set up my church's FB page. They have been talking about it and everyone wanted it set up but nobody wanted to actually deal with it so I volunteered. It was kinda cool getting it all set up. There were a few things I couldn't get how I wanted but it came out pretty good. I love it when things come out how I want them too. I'm just glad to know that things that I like to do (such as playing on FB) can be a benefit for things like my church. I love how that type of stuff works itself out. I like being involved in that kind of thing, ya know??

Well...I am done blabbering so I'll send out some love.

Chris - That is very cool that you are able to go to NYC. I have never been there except for the airport and that doesn't count. I get to go other places that are cool but something about going to NYC just sounds so cool. My cousin has lived there for many years and loves it. I hope you get some nice weather and some time to play in it. I am starting to feel bad about stealing all of your great weather.

Sandra - i can't wait to hear how your first day went and how the kids were about going to daycare. I hope everything went perfect.

Linda - Isn't having your own hairstylist the best? I had one when I lived in Italy. I worked with this girl at the restaurant on post and she did hair on her days off. she couldn't get an actual hairstylist job in Italy because of politics and some other issues so she just worked out of her house. She was awesome. Now she is in Nashville charging a fortune for hair at high end salons. I'll bet you are just loving the time with dgs. I'm sure he is loving it too.

Sara - That is awesome that you are so ready to be able to support your husband however he needs you. I hope he gets things figured out soon and you both are content and happy and eventually in a new house.

Sally - YMG sounds so amazing. I can understand why you adore him so much. He knows what you need and vice versa. That is so cool. Poor Emma. I hope you guys get her belly issues resolved soon so that she can start feeling better soon.

Well, I am off. Chat with you all again soon.

Hey everyone! it seems like forever since I last dropped in!! Well the suprise party for my DH went off WONDERFULLY!!! He didn't guess anything!! and so was quite stunned when he walked into the room and saw everyone!!!

He said later that he thought he had stumbled into the wrong room but then he saw my sister who had travelled up from Sydney (8hr drive) and his next thought was 'I'm gonna kill her!!" meaning ME! lol!

It was just so thrilling to have all of my children AND grandchildren together under the one roof!!! that hasn't happened for a couple of years now!! as with most parties though it seemed to finish too quickly and I feel that I didn't get to talk to half the people there!!

Everyone had a totally fun time and then to make things more wonderful we all met up the next day at one of our lovely garden parks and had a long and leisurely barbeque. That was really nice as I got to talk and cuddle with my grandchildren, it was glorious. DH had dubbed 'Secret Squirrel' for the day and just kept shaking his head and saying 'naughty girl' whenever he spoke to me about anything!! lol!!

I had to take Monday off from work though to slowly get back to 'normal', sorta eased back into reality after everyone headed off to their respective homes!! It's Tues morning and I am at work, no party phone calls to make etc. its kinda flat! lol! maybe I can get some work done! lol! Speaking of which I had better get a move on..........

Chris: Bad news about the lousy weather!I hear you on trying to get the house in order!! I was TRYING to do that yesterday but gave up around midday and went and had a sleep instead!!!

Sandra: Hope you're first day went well!!! I have been with this company now for 13yrs now but I can remember my first day and how nervous I was.....then a few days later you are wondering what the heck you had to be nervous about! lol!

LindaW: How wonderful to be able to spend all that time with your grandson!! I'm jealous :) I would LOVE to give up work but finances aren't allowing that at the moment. DH has his own business in vegetation management so the weather has a lot to do with just how much work he gets! I am on a terrific salary so its me that pays for the house loan etc. I really LOVE my long 3 day weekend every fortnight, I really wish that I could just work 4 days a week!! and I have to agree with you on the hairdresser!! isn't it lovely when you find one that KNOWS what will suit you rather than what THEY decide you should have! lol! My hairdresser is a real doll and I love her to bits! we talk scrapbooking the whole time and Ihave convinced to try digiscrapping and she was as pleased as punch when I saw her last week cause she had completed two layouts already!!!

Sara: Oh how exciting!! playing on the new printer!! I just love mine!! if you can get the 'photographic studio' standard printing paper you will be just stunned at how your photos will be printed out! Real studio standard!! That type of paper is quite expensive over hear so I only use it for very 'special' photos or layouts!! and lol! about the secret behind your 'fast scrapping!' :)

Sally: you are just one whirlwind girl!!! do you talk as fast you write!?? omg! I have a friend who really could pass off as being your sister! and you write like she would talk!! your natures just seem so similar!! astonishing!! I get a picture of Susie in my head when I am reading your stuff!! lol!!

Clara: the whole world sucks when you get an allergy I think!! I do get them but not as bad as you! your poor thing!! and that's good news about DH staying the army for a bit longer. and in regards to you jumping out of that PERFECTLY good plane (lol!) aaaaaaaarrgghhh! I wouldn't have the guts to do it!! :) I am a wimp at heart!!:)

and to everyone else that may pop in..........hope you all have a nice night and a wonderful Tuesday!! bye for now. Oxx

Good evening and morning lovely ladies! Sorry I didn't make it in this morning. Had migraine and neck issues and barely even made it out of the house.

Chris-it rained here today, too, yuck, but it was nice and cool :). Oh, and I have heard angoras are grumpy things. Dutch rabbits, like Davy are generally good-natured yet mischievous...just like me LOL.

Sandra-how was your first day? How'd the kids do?

Sara-hi!! how are you? your new printer/scanner sounds awesome!

Ona-I'm so glad the party was a hit and he was surprised!

Linda-I love salon days! I hope you enjoyed and had an awesome day :).

Sally-I just love your posts, so uplifting :). I love hearing about your family and YMG, soooo sweet. The gallery is just overflowing with gorgeousness and love these days! I have even had PMs from people thanking me for leaving them love :). Just warms my heart!

Clara-I hope you get to feeling better soon. At least now it sounds like your DH knows what he wants to do.

Well, I'm going to scrap a page and get to bed. oooh, just remembered. Does anyone have a child on a beach photo they'd be willing to let me scrap? Maybe playing with a sandbucket, building a sandcastle, digging..etc? I'm trying out for the SO site CT and the first assignment is using a Beach themed kit and I have nothing suitable. If you could upload to Photobucket and PM it to me I'd appreciate it and I'd do a RAK for ya :).

Dawn I am sure I have something...let me see what I've got. I'll send it tomorrow. PM me your e-mail and then I can send you a few pics.
