:oops: I just started a thread here, and freaked myself out so much that it was July 20th, that I went and closed my window and *poof* my post went away LOL!

As I as saying, prior to the cursing at the closed window, I cannot believe how fast time is going. Do you all remember how summers seems to last forever??
Crazy!

Today looks like it is going to be nice- Cait and I are going food shopping, Scott had a friend sleep over last night. I woke up to them watching some zombie movie laughing their butts off. Cait and I are off to the lake later.

Good morning all! I was supposed to be on vacation today but I have reviews to write so I'm working from home. That does give me the luxury of going to swimming lessons and gymnastics however so I'm not complaining. It's still cool here in Iowa...but beautiful sleeping weather.

I know what you mean about the summer flying past Chris. It's scary how fast the time goes!

Hello....It's very quiet and still here right now...big change from yesterday and last night...We had HOUSE FULL! I cooked a huge dinner and everyone showed up! It was wonderful, until the cleaning....labor of love! The kids played so hard...we made them get in the bed around 10:30 and I think they were all asleep before 10:45!! I don't know how long they will sleep this morning...but all good things have to come to an end...Alison (my step daughter) and the boys have to go back home today :(. But I have to get my butt in high gear...My brother's 50th b-day party this weekend, at my MOM's and I am helping with that...the next weekend is Sharon's Baby Shower...I am doing all of that....and two weeks later...my little Jaiden will be ONE YEAR OLD!! and we have a big bash at the park planned for her! Ok....September is going to very calm and quiet for me!!!! Well better run jump in the shower! I will check in tonight for some personals....(((HUGS))) to you all!!;)

Real quick.....let me just say ARGH! Now my computer mouse has died! Luckily there are others around here, but still ARGH! Is it not enough that I have to restart the computer, unplug everything to the modem, reset it 2-3 times to even log on, but now my mouse? LOL I hope this is not how my day will continue :(.

Hi everybody! It's been a few days since I was here. About a week, actually. Mom's still here for a few more days, and we are having a great time! Not doing anything much, just being together. It was great to have my son here, too. Hope to see him again before too long.
Today we're going to a kid's salon to have Jenny's hair cut. It's not the first time it's been cut, because I regularly hack off her bangs, but it will be the first time having it done professionally. I always worried that she'd have trouble sitting still. But this is a place especially for kids, so I trust that it will be alright. I'll be sure to take pictures.

Good morning ladies!!!

So, it is Monday. Blah!! Derek woke up with pink eye this morning and was given 2 days off of work so he's off fishing...of course he has stuff to take care of at the house but he's going fishing. Go figure. I just got off of the phone with Ethan. He is soooooo excited. He's at Universal Studios today. He called to tell me he is soaked. They just went on some water ride...Popeye I think he said. Of course his favorite ride so far was a dinosaur ride. He is having so much fun. I'm missing him but he has been using his phone like crazy. He calls me lots, calls his dad, aunt, and both grandparents. It is awesome. I love that he is calling me without me needing to call him. I think he will have a blast but be ready to come home.

We had a good weekend. I ended up visiting some friends which I wasn't planning on. It was a lot of fun. They have some property with lots of animals...so Addie and I rode quads around and saw them all. She liked to see all the animals but didn't want to touch any of them. We were in the pen for the alpacas and they kept following us everywhere and Addie would run and hide behind my legs. It was pretty cute. We got to see baby peacocks. They were strange looking. They were brown with darker spots. A long way from being the beautiful birds they become.

I spent some time this weekend working on my Battle of the CTs layout. I had Dawn biting her nails waiting for me to post it. I posted it pretty late. Fortunately she didn't reach through the computer and strangle me for stressing her out. :) I'm so glad she likes me al ittle bit. lol!! Make sure you all go over there and vote. It is a fun little contest. Last week's challenge was using free space. This week is song lyrics. I've never used song lyrics so this should be fun.

I did go and see Harry Potter this weekend. That was fun. I'm undecided about the movie. I think the movie was done pretty well. The effects are always awesome, but there were of course some major story points missing. I thought the end was lacking some important key elements that made other parts not really matter like they should. But that's how it always goes when they make a book into a movie. I was just not as impressed as I have been with the movies in the past. Oh well. Movie 7 should be interesting.

Well, I need to get scrapping so...

Chris - I agree...the year is going way to fast. I hope you have a great time at the lake.

LindaS - I am glad you get to have a day home with the family. That stinks you have to work though. Hopefully not too hard.

LindaW - I am glad you guys have had so much much with your family visiting. You sound like you are going to be running around like crazy for the next few weeks. You'll need all of September to rest from th esound of it.

Dawn - I hope your computer issues didn't set the tone for your entire day. Little Davy-girl creating havoc as usual. At least she's cute and forgivable.

NeeNee - I'm glad you had a great vacation and we are glad to have you back.

Andrea - I am glad you are having a great visit with your mom. Something about just hanging out with mom is so relaxing and comforting. I'm glad you are getting some of that.

I hope to see some more faces later today. Have a great day ladies.

Linda - Awww it's review time all ready? ((hugs)) I know this is the part you like the least so at least if you have to do it you can be watching your cutie pies as you do :) That will give you some comfort!

Clara - Ethan sounds like he is having a blast!! Awwww what a cutie to call you :) Makes your heart feel good :) I heard a lot of people say that they are dissappointed in the ending....that they left that major part out. (Don't want to ruin it if others haven't seen it) I will wait for the DVD.

Today I had a doctor's appointment this morning....and then NIck and I went swimming :) Just a nice relaxing day for us :) Nothing special.....might be MIA this week since they are predicting major thunderstorms for our area. So don't worry if you don't see me :) I'll be back! Hahahahaha

Hey everybody! Hello from downunder! Its Tuesday morning here and another beautiful sunny winter's day. I live in the northern part of New South Wales about 35kms inland. While we do get cold frosty nights and mornings our days are normally beautiful, if the sun is out that is!! On Sunday I took some photos of all the butterflies that were fittering around in the garden, there are quite a few plants flowering, especially the wattle so there were quite a few bees buzzing around it. I took a heap of photos using the macro function on my camera......I did two layouts which are in Sue Cummings gallery if you want to check them out. Apart from that nothing else exciting has been happening. Its a quite week at work for me this week but next week I will be away in our Port Macquarie office for a three day team get together so that should be fun! Okay, now for the personals:

Chris: I know what you mean about the time getting away so quick!!! I swear it goes faster as I get older!!! LOL!! :) I thought of you on the weekend when I was taking photos of the watttle tree, the bees were buzzing around, a couple even landed on my camera as I was taking some shots!! Hope your bee sting has cleared up! I just hate the itchy stage when I get stung by a bee or wasp!!!

LindaS: You must be so excited Linda, booking your tickets for Cozumel!! It sounds like you are all going to have an awesome time and of course we want to see HEAPS of photos and layouts!!! :)

LindaW: You sound awfully busy!! but it is fun having the family over isn't it! LOL! about the cleaning up! totally can relate to that!!! :)

Dawn: Hiya sweets! how's the cute little furry bundle going? I'm talking about Davey by the way!! LOL! You are cute but not furry!!! ROLF!! :) Hope you get your internet issues all sorted out soon too!!! and you can't be cheery all the time!! its just not possible, especially after having been to a funeral which must have been quite sad for all of you!! {{hugs}} you'll be back soon!! :)

Nee nee: Glad to hear your vacation was fun! Its just so nice to get away for a little while isn't it!! and looking forward to all of those LO's coming our way!!!

Andrea: Hi there!! glad to hear that you are having a nice time with your Mum. Did everything work with your DH with the hotel etc. How long is he home before he has to head off?? Hope you get to spend some time with him alone! :)

Clara: How awesome about Ethan! so glad he is having such a fun time!! and that sounded like fun, at your friend's place, seeing all the animals! My little ones love coming out to feed the wallabies. Each morning and evening and few of them come to the back door. One of the regulars, Josephine, has been coming since she was a baby and now all of her grown up daughters and their babies come to visit. I will have to scrap some pages showing the little ones feeding them. :)

Kat: Hope you get to enjoy your pool some more! I just shiver whenever you mention it though! Certainly too cold for swimming down here at the moment!! LOL!! I love your new avi by the way!! and I love the colour of your hair!! such a pretty shade of copper!! :)

Just checking back this evening. I'm sure that I have more time to post now than I will in the morning.

Linda W---I love big family get togethers. And now I have to let you in on a secret. I do all of the cooking but my husband comes through behind me and cleans as I cook. Woooo Hoooo!

Kat---Hope that the doctor's appointment went well and that you enjoyed your time with Nick. Won't be long until the school year starts. Can't believe it.

Sandra---I know what you mean. Somedays by the time I get through dinner I think that I can barely stay propped up. Hope the job is going well.

Clara, so glad that Ethan is enjoying himself. That makes it easier for you, huh?

Dawn, hope you find your cheery self soon! I know what it's like to lose that person and it's not fun.

Ona, it always seems funny to me to think of someone in a different season than we are. Guess that it shows that I'm not very worldly. And I am so excited about booking the tickets...but nothing compared to the kids! Shaun wanted to get the suitcases out tonight. LOL I promised that we'd make a paper chain so that he could count the days.

Andrea, glad to hear that you are having fun with your mom. I love the time that I get to spend with my parents.

Ona ((hugs)) Thanks - I needed a change :) I know - I am so jealous in our winter when my friend in Melbourne tells me she's swimming in her pool :) Ohhhh I love gardening and take a gazillon photos of bees and butterflies :) Totally up my alley.....off to Sue's Gallery to peek :)

Linda - UGH! I so know it and Nick starts Kindergarten....not only kindergarten but a whole new school!!!!!!!!! They seem pretty smart on the allergies and everything that took me a year to do with the other one was done in 1 week so I am a little more optimistic this time around. *sigh* Maybe I will even be able to cry like the other mommies this time without having to worry about policies etc :) (((hugs)))

Hope everybody had a decent Monday. I had one of those days where everything I went to do went wrong, LOL. The mouse for my desktop even died this morning haha.

Chris-Time does fly, doesn't it?! Schools here start around August 6. It's just crazy! The temps here have been mild this last wk so that's nice...chance of thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow tho UGH. Hope you had a great time at the lake!

LindaS-it's awesome you get the chance to do some work from home, I would enjoy that....problem is I'd probably not get anything done.

Clara-LOL you had me freaking out yesteday! It was sooo funny! There we are down to the wire and no Clara in sight LMBO! I was sooo tickled with the layouts, this week looks to be fun, too!

Kat-thank you for the brownies!!! that's the best kind, virtual fat and cal free :). Watch out for the storms! We're supposed to have some tonight and tomorrow, ugh.

Ona-LOL, that Davy is doing fine, s-he was really lovey dovey tonight. I took a photo of the 2 of us, I'll have to do a layout with it...not a great pic but cute haha. I will be back to 'normal' soon I hope...I just hate posting when I just wanna complain though...not something anyone wants to read haha :).

LindaS-I am sooo jealous about you going to Cozumel! eeek! Maybe next yr or the next for me :). I'm gonna make everyone here have a virtual cocktail party with me...we can chat all about the ones that are missing LOL!

Okay...so totally random...Do you ever eat grapes thinking how refreshing they are going to be but the skin is really dry and they end up drying your mouth out instead of hydrating?? My husband is asleep so I had no one to ponder with. If you guys only knew how much randomness came out of my mouth.
