Happy Monday! Lots of excitement going on here in NJ. What a great game, edge of my seat! Both teams played really well, minus a few dumb plays and penalties, but what can you do? I have a friend who is a Pat's fan and she posted on FB she was getting some really mean texts from people. I don't get it, people-- its a game!
Granted to the players its not, but to the spectators?? Really??
*sad*

Today is another work at home type day, and then I work 4 straight days. :eek2: I know, that doesn't sound like much, but it is to me LOL

Me Me Monday- i really need to do something about my chewed up nails and cracked cuticles. maybe I can take care of them this afternoon.

Hi again-- here for personals :)

Eva the potatoes sound yummy. Yeah, football is weird with the rules I don't know/understand all of them myself, but I know just enough to get the main points/penalties etc.

Nana-- loved it!!! It made your day seem so much happier :pound:

Yvon- it must have been recently. I hadn't noticed either that she left.

Trudy-- so glad your provider is working out for ya!

hello and hugs and :tea: for everyone who stops by!

morning all - up, moving, ready for work - well that is a stretch, but the rest is true- back after work to see what my friends have been up to. Enjoyed watching the commercials last night!

Good morning ladies! Like Laurie...I'm up and moving...need to get on to the next part of the program...ready for work.

We went to Dad's for the Super Bowl last night. Celebrated my 17 year old niece's birthday as well as my husband's. (Sarah's was on Wednesday and Brian's is today.) We had lots of snacks and just sat around and enjoyed each other. The teenagers had a Super Bowl party to go to so they left early. The little kids played while the adults and the tween (my 12 year old niece) sat and watched the game.

I know that Dad enjoys having the house filled up with people. He gets awfully lonesome without Mom.

This week is fairly slow. No time to celebrate birthdays tonight...Shaun has his last swim meet and Syd has a soccer clinic. Going to go for Shaun's first race then Sydney and I will head back to the soccer clinic while Brian and Shaun stay for the last race.

I don't think the rest of the week should be too bad however. Which is good...I need to start thinking about packing. One week from Friday...Maui!!

hi, there. it's Monday. got a yearly physical coming up in a few hours. always a lot of fun getting on the scale and having my (white coat syndrome) blood pressure checked. there are a few lab test that made me frown, so i guess i get to hear about those, too. woot.

can't think of anything else, except i just realized that i forgot to iron a shirt for my husband, so he went to work in a dress shirt that has been washed but not ironed. i TELL him to wake me up when that happens, and he never does it!!

have a good Monday, y'all.

Happy Monday everyone... off to work for the day, then a day off to myself!! My favorite day is Tuesday, but I think you all know that already :becky: Had a hard time dragging my butt out of bed this morning, I think my best sleep was the hour before the alarm went off, my brain just would not shut down last night???

Chris - Glad you enjoyed the football game yesterday, your little man was so cute in his jersey and he really is the cutest fan of all!! My Gary watched the game, but his heart wasn't in it as he is a Dallas Cowboys fan, I sat on the computer and tried to get caught up on things, but not a lot happened except a bunch of surfing around LOL. Four days of work in a row is a lot!!! So happy that you have the work that you wanted and needed!!

Laurie - it really is hard to get going on winter mornings isn't it!! Hope your Monday is great and that the work day is smooth for you!!

LindaS - A busy day for you as usual, but off to Maui soon, how lucky are you!!!!

Phylis - Keeping my fingers crossed that your yearly exam goes well for you!! I hate those exams too, but I am fortunate to be in excellent health so far, except of course for the weight gain over the years, darn thyroid problem that plagues our family
I have four shirts hanging up in the laundry room that I also have to get ironed before tomorrow can I send them over to you? I hate to iron!!

Well better get some breakfast and get ready to go to work ugh!! Have a great day everyone!!

Me Me Monday - I'm not cooking dinner today - we have leftovers! Love it. But to celebrate that I don't have to cook today: I'm making apple pie :)

Did the digi dare today + been watching 90210 & knitted half a hat. Gee - my life is so boring, I don't even have things to tell in the daily thread.

good afternoon, sweet friends!!! :) what a game last night, huh? We are diehard football fans here (which i know you all know!) and we had a divided house last night...that's always fun!! Luckily, my side of the house won, so I'm a happy camper today. The kids are acting today like they partied like it was 1999 last night!! So I've been riding everyone pretty hard today. That's the only part of homeschooling that I hate...the sitting on them to make sure they actually learn something!!! eeeeek!! :)

Anyway, hope your Monday was as wild and out of control as mine was (okay, it's only 3:20, and I've pretty much been in control...but a girl can dream, right????)

love you all!!

always chatty at the O!!
I haven't been in here for a bit so I thought I'd hop in and say hi and that I'm thinking of you all. Had a busy weekend and then a semi-busy Monday. We have been trying to get Addie to sleep in her own bed at night and are bribing her with CocoPuffs. She gets up in the middle of the night and comes to our room...every single night. She's been doing pretty good but last night made me laugh. She came in and I asked her if she was willing to give up her cereal and she said yes and slept there for several hours but by the time I woke up to put Ethan on the bus she had gone to her own bed so that she could get her cereal. How could I not give her the cereal with that kind of thinking. She has been doing good though. Right or wrong I love the kids in my bed...but Ethan is far too old now and Addie is well, she's too old too. Plus Derek hates it. He can't sleep well.

I've started reading The Hunger Games. It was recommended to me last summer but I never got around to it. For some reason it reminds me of Atlas Shrugged, only a different type of extreme government system. Anyway, it has reminded me why I don't usually read...I have ZERO self control. So...I'm off to read more. I'm on the second book and need to get to it.
