happy Monday!!! I hope that all of you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for the upcoming week. I had the best time (as always) hanging out with my brother, SIL and my godson. I could just eat him up. My kids adore him and to see the two of them playing and loving on this little one, makes my heart just melt.

I guess we all have a busy day and week to get rolling. I know I do. I just have to keep telling myself, it will all get done, it always does.

It is an amazing feeling to know that the adoption process is d-o-n-e done, for sure. I am also really glad that my kids were able to witness it, and that maybe someday, depending how life takes them, they will be open to that option too. Good heartening lessons for all sides.

Eva- snow looks so pretty in pictures LOL

Maureen-- ouch! I hope that you are feeling tons better today and that you are staying off your feet. They did a CT scan, but it sounds more like a slipped disk, don't you think? I have had sciatica and what my dr things is a slipped disk, not sciatica so I know what you mean about the difference in the shooting pains. But from what i have heard, a slipped disk won't show up in an x-ray but shoul din a CT scan. or was it an MRI? Oh bother! Either way, feel better and no quick moves!
Is it better or worse that Dick's surgery might be pushed back? I guess on the one hand you want it taken care of. OTOH- it might be more important that you get back on your feet as slowly as possible.

Hi Fran- how are you holding up? And the moms?

Hey everyone- the thing I hate about taking time off from work, is the prep before you take time off- seems like you cram the entire work time into half the time- yes that is why I am so gone- but wait till I am off- I will be back here having fun, fun, fun!

Kids are eating breakfast and then we have run out for some errands this morning....TOO COLD FOR THAT ~brrrr~ But what can you do...

Chris...I am happy you are getting to spend so much time with the little guy!!!! Babies always make EVERYONE FEEL GOOD!! That warm and fuzzy feeling.....suppose that why there are so many babies being born all the time...HAHA...or too many of these cold nights!! ound:

Laurie....what a pain to have to do so much just to be off....I suppose that is something I am not burdened with...but then again...the "job" I have now I never get to BE OFF!! Oh Well....Hope you have a great day!!

Good Morning ladies, checking in real quick......

DH Mom is doing okay, we're keeping the help for her at least another week. If it was up to her she would stop the service now. I guess we're just worried that she will fall again like she did last year.

My Mom is not doing good, there is no change in her status, but the family has to make the decision to do a trach on her today or not. Being on the ventilator for a week the nurse says she's at the point she is not weenable from it, and they need to get her off of it because it would do irreperable damage. The Trach would allow her to breath and eventually be taken out and she would heal. Being on the ventilater only causes damage. So here I sit at home getting all this information late last night and wondering if I should take the trip down there. That being said, I'm worried about the car not making it with all the issues I've had with it lately. DH assures me that other then it not starting right away in the morning it should be fine. So I probably will be making a trip down to see her today, if not tomorrow.

Chris, i haven't heard anything about my grandson yet. i don't know what time their doctor appointment is, but it's already 1:30 in London. i guess i have to wait until someone calls me. i am so BAD at waiting.

Happy Monday all... well it doesn't sound like its too happy so far! Long day for me today at work, but last week and then I have time booked off.

Chris - Hi to Catzilla, Glad that you had a great time with your brother and sweet baby!! Hope you get that scrap time in today! I have not had any for a while, too busy working on calendars to get ready for Christmas.

Laurie - Hope you get it all done, then you can play!! Hooray for time off!!

Nana Linda - Brrrr its cold here too!! Hope you get your errands done and can get back home and have Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows with the kids, yummmmm!! Wish I could get you a day off for a Christmas present!!

Fran - Sorry to hear that your Mom is not doing so well, such a worry for you!! I hope that you make it down to see her without any car issues!! :hug: to you and sending lots of good thoughts your way!

Phylis - I am keeping my fingers crossed that you hear quickly and that the news is all good!! Waiting is the worst part!!!

We finished work early, so I started the windows as soon as I got home. But I'm craving for a hot shower!

OK...my brain is fried...I can't even think of what I need to do. I'm trying to get the year end done up for our Home & School Association and now I have to deal with a government screw up I just found out about that caused it to be de-registered. This is such a great time of year to be dealing with that!

Anyway, I can't remember all that you all wrote so I hope everyone has a great week...mine's crazy! I'd love to scrap but don't think I'll have time! Too much to do.

Hey ladies!!

I am happy for a Monday amazingly enough. That means we only have to get through the work week and then we get on a plane headed home for the holidays. I cannot wait. This weekend was pretty good. We got the girl fight from my church group settled...it was nice having that go away. Then after that me and the fam went up to Smithfield to where some outlets are at to go to the JR Cigar shop. It was an odd store...there was a lot of random stuff there...but we got hundreds of dollars of cigars for $120. That was cool. Derek said the cigar area was the largest humidor he has ever been in. I have never seen so many cigars in my life. I am one of those weird ones that loves the smell of most cigars. My husband couldn't choose so I got him all the mini packs he wanted. Yay for Christmas. I really need to finish up my shopping for everyone else now.

Well, I'd better get some laundry folded...an important part of getting ready for a trip, unfortunately.

Good morning all. The weekend is over, ours was jam packed but with a lazy day yesterday. I am still hacking like crazy, and hope to shake the cough before the holidays. We are preparing for another busy week. Gotta finish up the main part of shopping this week, not to mention Josh's 6th birthday on Friday. EEK! Then it's road trips from then until Christmas.

Chris - scrap time sounds fabulous. Would you tell my 4yo to take a nap so I can scrap?

Laurie: Those short works weeks can be a bear. The reward of course will be the time off afterwards! Hoping you aren't smothered with lots of extra stuff!

Nana: Stay warm. It's hard to get out and about with the kids when it's cold... and raining is also another not fun time to be running around.

Fran: Sorry to hear about your mom. Stay safe in your travels.

Hey girlies!!! I'm here waiting for my turkey timer to tell me it's time to baste!! Yep, I'm cooking a turkey today, because we just didn't have enough leftovers after Thanksgiving!! LOL!! So fun, huh????

TOmorrow I'm starting my 12 days of Christmas celebration on my blog. It should be really fun!! I have a bunch of projects almost finished for it!! teeheee!!! Luckily the first two days are done, so I have two more days at least to finish up!! I just hope it's inspirational!! My concert went really well last night!! I'm not sure if my friend took any video...She did take a few pics with her iPhone, but mainly of her husband playing guitar!! teeeheee...I'll post those on our band blog soon. If you are friends with me on FB, I'm going to tag me in them, so you can see them there. Again with the shameless pimping - our second Christmas CD is out!! We sold a bunch last night! so fun!!!!!

Anyway, timer is going off...time to baste!! yipeeeeee!!!

don't forget...the best way to spread Christmas cheer is to sing really loud for all to hear!! (my life mantra right now!!! bwahahaaha!!)
