Wow, the weekend flew by for me. Did it go by quickly for you too?
It's rainy -- mostly damp and drizzly- again so I'm glad I am stuck in my house. Well, glad might not be the right word but it does feel like a good day to stay hunkered in.
I had a really interesting day yesterday. The work meeting was fun, engaging, and fascinating. It was boring at times, but it was still interesting in a dull way. IFKWIM. The first part of the meeting was brainstorming and long-term plans and goals for the center. There were "stations" with a large sheet of paper with a question on it. We moved around the room in groups (new people in each group each time) and had 5 minutes to brainstorm and write down ideas. Big, small, next-to-impossible- it didn't matter. Then we discussed the ideas and ranked which ones should be priorities for the upcoming year. We broke for lunch, and then they invited me to stay for the Trustees' portion. That was pretty amazing. Going over the open agenda items was the part of the meeting that was interesting in a dull way. haha. None of it was anything I had input on, but I enjoyed learning how things worked on their end. Not to mention, it's a good thing to get to know the Board of Trustees, considering they are the ones in charge of my employment. *wink*
Once I get ideas percolating in my brain, I sometimes have difficulty turning them off and I emailed the director *twice* this morning with suggestions for funding and newsletter outreach.
I got home much later than I expected and spent the next two hours cooking. Dinner was yummy but where I would have taken breaks in between steps,
there wasn't any time. My foot didn't hurt but it was tired.
What are my plans for today?
Cleaning my office (uh-huh, again!)
Finishing my grocery order
Scrapping!
Have fun whatever you do today!
xo

And how about you, Ms. Kettle?

so today I don't have to do any of that kind of stuff today. DH and I are going to look for some new hiking boots for him, but other than that I don't have much else planned for the day. We will see what my Gary has planned, hopefully nothing that needs me to be involved. I really need to do some scrapping!
. My brother and his wife played pickleball and my brother often got hurt. His wife however is an avid player and hopefully is still going to games. You never know perhaps my DH and I will try it out one day.
to everyone else who pops in here today! I am off to get another cup of coffee and wait for Heather to call and catch up with her to find out what they have been up to over the weekend. Have a lovely day everyone!
but that means I don't have to stay up late tonight to watch the last game. Then Sunday, between church and catching up on housework, not to mention my three Sunday crosswords, just disappeared. I started watching Adolescence on Netflix and then couldn't stop so another late night to bed.
as I sit here in my fleece winter PJs and heavy socks waiting for the house to warm up enough so I can take my shower!!!
