Who has Easter Hangover????
Good food? Good times?? Lots of Easter eggs?

My mother cooks like crazy!
we had cheese and cracker, dips, roasted peppers and mozzarella, mussels, and Italian bread. That was the appetizers. Oh, and Italian Easter pie.

Then 2 kinds of salmon, ham, three veggies, lemon pepper pasta,, dinner rolls.

Dessert was 2 kinds of cake, cream puffs and cookies.

Guess how many people were there?

8 of us!
I brought home 2 bags of leftovers LOL

We had a really nice time, except I am (sorry for more whining) I am still in pain. I probably need to get to the dr. UGH!!!!!!

How was everyone's holiday? Hope it was a great one!!!!

Hey good morning everybody!

Chris - holy cow - did you roll out of your Mom's front door from all that eating?? I'd have been in a food fog and barely moving.

I took the boys with me to my mom's by myself. John is back on nights again so he had to sleep all day. The ride is just awful (my parents live in NW NJ and the ride from me is about 1.5 hrs, sometimes more) but it's so good to see my family. I've got 2 brothers who are both married and each have a boy and a girl. All 3 of us had kids within less than a year of each other so my parents went from no grandkids to 3 in less than a year then the next round came and there were 3 more and then my stepson who is right in the same age range. So there are 7 kids ranging from 6 to almost 2 running around the house like maniacs. I love hearing the laughing and loudness of a house full of family. Gosh I'm writing this and getting teary. I really do miss my family and wish that I got to see them more often. My brothers live up by my parents also and they are always there having dinner or hanging out. I'm jealous of their short ride but there's not a chance in hell I'd move up there again. (My parents moved from central NJ to that area when I was in the middle of sophomore year and I got out of there as fast as I could! I always hated it there.) I'd def go more often but I'm in the car for 3+ hours just to go there and back (that doesn't even take into consideration I drive a big Yukon and gas is $3.69/gal here). Well, that's the way it is I guess. Sorry I'm rambling!

Super busy day at work for me today - trying to catch up from friday when I was teaching my mom PS. (Chris you asked me if my mom was PC saavy - not more than email and a few programs like Word. She knows enough to get by and use her scrapping program called Craft Artist (it's by Serif and similar to PS so it was a good starting point for her to learn about layers, styles).

Oh and big news - I mean 27inch big news :) I bought a MAC! It just kind of snowballed into this bc I didn't need a new machine. I was looking for a bigger screen laptop and I thought MAC so I went and looked at them. Looked a couple of times and just couldn't see spending almost $3000 on a laptop (I was upgrading a bunch of stuff) then the last guy I talked to told me to turn around and look behind me. I did and I was in love - it was the most beautiful thing I ever saw - ha ha! All 27inches of it AND it was more everything (RAM, processor, HD space, etc.) than the laptop and it was $500 less. So today I'm going to clean off my desk because I need to remove the hutch from it so the machine can fit. I'm secretly scared of it because I never used a MAC aside from me doodling with it in the Apple store. So we'll see how that goes.

Hope everyone enjoyed their Easter if they celebrated!!

Hey ladies!! We are on Spring Break here so I am going to be keeping the kids busy doing stuff. Not sure what all we will be doing yet, but something everyday. Today will be bowling. The deal is that we will do some sort of cleaning each day and then go play. So today we are cleaning the Easter after math of the kitchen and getting laundry put away. Easter was great. We went to church as a family and then I made ham and Dave came over. It was nice.

Well, I need to get moving so here are some personals...

Chris - sounds like an Italian gathering to me. I need to make some roasted peppers. Those sound yummy. I haven't had them in awhile. Definitely go see the doctor about that hip. It has been bothering you for too long.

Eva - I am with you on getting an invitation for Easter dinner at Chris's. Yummy! I hope you had a great Easter too.

Suzy - I know what you mean about the noises of family. It is like that when we go to Derek's family gatherings in Cleveland. My family is small and we don't do things with our cousins cuz they are kinda weird and we were always treated like outsiders. So we've always kept it small but it is still always a good time.

Well, I am off to go do the kitchen so that we can go bowling. Hugs everyone!!

Morning ladies... :rain: here today, how can it go from being sunny and not a cloud in sight to rain in just a few hours? Oh well we did enjoy the sunshine while it was here!

Suzy - I am sooooo jelous!! I am buying an IMac just as soon as I get my Visa paid off. Hopefully this summer. I can't wait! My computer is getting so slow, but I am also a little scared to try something new and different. I don't think it will take much to learn though. You are so lucky!!

Chris - Oh my gosh, you Italian women do love to cook!!! Next time your mother goes all out like that I want to be invited too ok? Sorry your hip is still hurting you so! You had better get to the Dr. sweetie ok?

Off to work today, another full day, tomorrow too Ugh!! Bought new shoes on the weekend, so hopefully they help my poor tired feet and legs!

Have a great Monday everyone!
