Yup, it is Saturday and I still woke up at 5 am. I'll never figure out why I can't sleep past 6, no matter what time I go to bed or how well I sleep. The only place I can sleep late is when I go to PA. One time, I slept almost until 9 am and my mom woke me up to make sure I was alive :lol23:
I didn't sleep so well last night, more weird dreams and the dogs were crowding me. Now, I am cranky and creaky. My neck sounds more like popcorn than anything.

I got a lot done yesterday but nothing that you can see. (one more thing to aggravate me LOL). I felt like I was up and down the stairs to do laundry a million times. I had to strip my bed, plus clothes and Scott's jacket needed to be washed separately. My washing machine has no clue how timers and countdowns are supposed to work. It will say there is 1 minute left and 5, 10, or 20 minutes later it will still be saying 1 minute left. Stupid machine :laundry: :whip4:

No luck with finding an oven yet. It's also very stupid. The ovens in our price range have these ridiculous (to me) features: Bluetooth and connected apps, really???? In one oven you can knock on the oven door twice to look inside. Wha???? But they will only have two racks. Or the biggest burner is 9" Can I just get a basic oven with three racks and 4 good size burners? Please??

Sorry. I am all :rollingpin1: today.
The weather is at least somewhat cooperative. We didn't get any snow last night and it looks like that rain has moved out too. It shouldn't be too bad to be outside at the FP. I hope Cait can come with me this time, it's been a long time since we went together and it's always nice to get some one on one time with her. Maybe she can kick me out of my icky mood.
Time for me to shut up and sign off.

@vickyday Yeah, you are right about appliances, cars too. Your oven's age is very impressive!
That stinks about the lenses being wrong in your glasses. Can they put a rush on the new ones? I would love to see all of the things you have made for the baby, pictures please when you can!

@BrightEyes Yipppeeeee! That is wonderful news that DS#2 is coming to see you! :dance2:
Enjoy the calmer weather, I hope it makes a big difference in how you feel. Good for you for getting so much water in. I have to force myself to drink more than 50 oz in the winter. In the summer, it is never a problem but when it is cold, I struggle.
I am very happy that you slept better too. ♥

@taxed4ever Well, that's a bummer, having the alarm going off when it shouldn't have. Does your Gary have an internal clock that wakes him up?
How are the new windows/blinds? How exciting!
Ugggggghhhhh and yuuuuuuuuck! that is one freaky dream about eating worms. *full body shiver*
I wonder what that means too, did you find out?

@bcgal00 I hear you about dogs and muddy yards. Whisky is one of those dogs who has to kick and cover when she poops which rips up the tiny bits of grass we have. It's all mud right now. Would your dogs have a spot to go if you bricked it all in?
OH nooo!!! That is funny but yucky about the dog peeing on you! It couldn't be a tiny little thing either, nuh-uh., had to be big... ;)

@Cherylndesigns I love hearing about everyone's tips on how to track credits.

@LSlycord Awww that is too cute about Andie and Shaun swimming together. Did you get any pics to scrap?
Hmm, that is a weird dream about your principal, wonder why he popped up in it?
Homework assignment for you: Next time the cleaning lady comes, you have to find out what she used on the grout. :mopping: Bwuhahaha!

Good morning ladies. I figure that weekends will be morning check-ins. I'm sure that I'm overthinking this entire thing. I have worked my entire life and stuff got done. ;)

Today, I think that we are going to head over to the nursery and pick up a few plants. My favorite nursery, which is nearby, has decided that they will only sell trees, sod and mulch. No flowers. What kind of crazy nonsense is that?:( I also need to get some groceries. I need a shortcut for that line because it is my constant...I always need groceries.

Going to get some additional scrapping finished. I really would like to have The Early Years of My Story scrapped before I go back to work. But we will see if I can get that accomplished. Thanks to @Karen Schulz Designs I have those pictures scanned so it's a possibility that I can get it done in that timeframe. Otherwise it would be a definite NO!

Going to fix some breakfast and then go get cleaned up for my day. HAGD ladies!

Morning, all. Crazy dreams must be catching... I had a doozy of one with some type of crab-like bunch of creatures that would bite and invade the body...o_O!!! Absolutely crazy dream!!! Was glad to wake up at 5AM... Yesterday turned into one of those barely able to get up and down days so spent most of the day in the recliner. Decided to double up on the pain meds and took them 12 hours apart. Was able to move easier this morning, so will do the same today. Not sure if I will be up going to the grocery store or not today. DSon#2 doesn't arrive until late this evening... and think he plans on skiing tomorrow. Either way, I have time to do the shopping depending on how I am moving. DSon#1 and wife will be here Tuesday afternoon sometime and will be leaving on Thursday sometime. DS#2 wants to ski another day after they leave and will be flying out on Saturday.

Not sure how much I will get in here during the next week... will be hit or miss. I do have 1 LO ready to go once the collab is released. And I have another CT LO ready to go once it is time. Then I will have that weekend before things get busy again. Just finished eating some pastries so need to go take my pain meds. HAGD

Good morning ladies. I'm heading out today to order new glasses. Found a good 2 for 1 deal here and will order sunglasses and tinted glasses. I'll bring my camera and pop by the area where the bighorn sheep often are seen. I've been up there a few times but haven't been lucky at spotting them yet.

No dog park today but will do some training with Remi. She loves it. Her new commands this last week or so are...

1. I sweep my left arm in a small arc at my side and she runs over and comes up behind me to stand between my legs.
2. Come closer mean to come right up to my hands (so I can take toy/ball out of her mouth to play but not bend over to get it). That is an important one b/c she likes to come over and drop the toy at my feet.
3. Combining two together, come closer and then "wait" which means to be still and not move, either sit or lay is ok, just don't move until I say.
4. Hide toy under blanket and then ask her to find it. She loves that one a lot. She often puts herself under the blanket and then barks for me to come find her.

I need to do some chores later and figure out dinner. I'm retired but there always seems to be things to keep me busy.

@faerywings The trouble you are having finding a decent ovens is ridiculous. I agree, don't need anything fancy, just one that works. Knock on the door twice? That's weird. I suggested to D yesterday that we brick another 1/3 of the backyard, that that is more practical than the fake grass that he wants. We also want to replace the fence too so whatever we do we'll try to do it all at the same time, it is going to be pricey so we need to really think about this. Plus, who knows when we can get a worker to do it, nothing happens quickly here. I'm guessing the waiting list is a year or two. Its crazy out here how long everything takes to get done.

@LSlycord Did I miss something? Did you get the job? I figure you did if you are talking about wkend check-ins, meaning you are busy during the week...so working now? Hope you find the plants you want today.

@BrightEyes Hope you keep the pain under control and you enjoy your family time over the next week.

I hear Bella outside so Remi of course wants to get out there too. Gotta go. HAGD everyone.

Good afternoon, all.

I didn't make it in here yesterday - I haven't missed for a long time. I'm not sure what happened - I started a post, but never finished it. I had some CT work to do yesterday and post all around social media - I thing I must have gotten distracted. Chris @faerywings and Kay @BrightEyes thanks for playing along in Vicki's challenge. I haven't looked today to see if I had anymore layouts. It's supposed to warm up but yesterday was not very warm. It's supposed to be back in the 70's - yay.

I'm going to try to get back in here later - this cold snap really set Old Arthur off in my hands. It hurts to type - started yesterday - I think that's why I didn't make it back in here. I finally put some topical salve on them and put my fingerless gloves back on. Hope the warmer weather coming helps.

Kay @BrightEyes have fun with the kiddoes. Chris @faerywings can you believe all the "stuff" that comes with appliances? Hard to believe - I don't want to be techie when I'm cooking/baking - just give me a stove that works. Whatever...............Adrienne has a fridge like that a "smart fridge". I just want appls that work for more than 2 years. Their ice maker went out shortly after they got it - we give them a couple bags of ice when they come down. They have a freezer in their garage but forget to buy bags of ice. That's ok - we rarely use ours.

HAGD and hugs to all.

I was looking through some of my family history photos getting ready for My Story-School Years LOs and discovered one of my older sister and I on our 1 day of school. I was starting Primary and she was starting 2nd grade. Guess what... I had my hair in long curls!!! But have a few photos taken later that year and my hair was in pigtails. So, I was wrong on my age when I posted the Feb Template LO... I wasn't 4, I must have been almost 6 or maybe 7 at the time. I have a photo with sis, myself and grandmother taken in 1944 (when I was 4) with long curls. And I ran across a professional photo of sis at 8 and I when I was 7 with the long curls. Guess Mom must have put my hair in long curls when it time for professional photos to be made. :giggle4::floorlaugh: Have go by how round my face in the photos to try to an age to them!

Yeah, I'll post baby pictures here but I'm still working on a few items. I finished a cap to go with the poncho last night. I have one legging complete (not sure if that is what they are called or not.....the knee socks without the feet.....if you know what I mean, LOL!). I'll be working on the other legging later today.

I was in here earlier but got completely side tracked. I'm still working on "forgotten" passwords/user names! But, I did get my online banking one fixed! That one was important!

Sun is shining but it is staying in the low 60s. Perfect for Mark working outside!

No big plans for the day. I'm trying to get my knitting finished for the baby shower next Saturday. I'm just about done. I could keep going and going and going, BUT I just need to stop! I'm thinking of buying some leggings and sweater to go with the poncho. We will see.

Have a great rest of your weekend!

it's Sunday and I have been awake since 5.30. Darn body will not let me sleep. I can't even blame the dogs, they were sleeping quietly and not shoving me off the bed either. Thankfully, I slept well for the most part, and no strange dreams- at least, not that I can remember. LOL!!
I was pretty cranky most of the morning but it seemed to wear off in the afternoon. I think my meds are messing me up. LLMD increased my Zoloft dose and I think it was too high for me and was getting some of the "too much serotonin" situation. I went back to my original dose and that coincided with my mood turning to crud. I'm going to play around with the dose a bit. I am not sure if I'll take the higher dose three days a week or half of the higher dose every day. I think that the latter is my way to go and see how I feel. I wish I didn't have to rely on any of it but my brain chemistry has been messed up most of my life. *shrugs* It is what it is.
FP was a big score- They gave me 4 different fresh bakery items and oooh boy, my family was *very* excited. It's the little things, I tell ya. :giggle4: I also got 3 lbs of ground beef!! I am going to make up some min-meatloaves that Gary or Scott can heat up since I won't eat beef.
Yesterday was my niece's 25th birthday and we are heading down for a small party tonight at BFFs house. Not sure if Gary will be able to make it, I doubt it. :/
And that's the gist of my day.

Sending love to you all!

@LSlycord hahaha! You are so much like me. In case you hadn't noticed, I overthink things too. You'll come up with a good routine for work and play. The job is work from home, right?
What plants and flowers did you get at the nursery?? I wish it was time for that here. I am planning on starting the seeds I have this week, just have to find a decent window for them.
I am really far behind in the My Story project. My family photos were such a mess and I get bleary looking at them for too long. That is absolutely fantastic that Karen was able to scan yours for you. What a great service.

@BrightEyes Your dream about the creatures-- they sound a lot like ticks :floorlaugh: Hope your pain levels were way down.
Enjoy every minute with your kids this week! I am so very happy for you ♥

@bcgal00 Remi is so smart. I am in awe of what you two are doing together with training. I am thrilled if I can get my dogs to sit still when the UPS truck drives up the street. When you get back from your cruise, I bet you are going to have a Velcro Dog. She is going to miss you lots.
The knock on the oven window feature was *so* silly- I mean how hard it is to press the Oven Light Button???? *slaps forehead* I would love to know what the R&D and Marketing meetings sounded like.
The new backyard plans sound very nice, I hope that you are able to get it done

@taxed4ever Happy Birthday to Sadie!

@Cherylndesigns How is your arthritis doing today? Hope it is a lot better. The crazy weather is not helping it.
Your challenge was a lot of fun. I can see why it takes me forever to do one LO- I must have spent well over an hour just messing with the word art.

Kay- I bet you looked soooo adorable in the long curls! That is one thing I am struggling with, I can't be satisfied with having a general time frame in my baby pics. Nope, I want the year, the month-- why not the day as well? It's impossible.
I can't wait to see your schoolgirl pics and LOs

@vickyday Whew, that is a relief that you are getting some of the important passwords figured out, the banking one is one of the most important. Oscraps is way up there too LOL
Have fun knitting!

Morning, all. Jeff arrived at 9:40 last evening. So good to see him again. We talked until 11 then headed to bed. He is still asleep - I told him to sleep in. He plans to go skiing tomorrow and Friday, He volunteered to go grocery shopping with me today and be my 'pack horse' hauling groceries in and out of the car. Of course, I will have to show off my new car!!! I am moving somewhat better this morning - so the double dose of pain meds is the way to go. Also been rubbing in Aspercream on the neck and back shoulder muscles and into the hands. That is helping with the stiffness. With good warmer weather this week, I hope the arthritis will ease off. I had to LOL as Jeff doesn't eat bread .... even with sandwiches. He has ham and cheese rolled together. But I know that Jim and Alyn both eat bread so glad I got the loaves I did.

Oh, no, Chris... those creatures were much larger than ticks... like 2"-3" and up to 6" and looked like crabs!!! Ugly things.
No way can I put a month much less a date on most of my childhood photos. :lol23::floorlaugh::giggle4: I am lucky to sometimes have a year on them. A few of them are holidays so they are easier to date. Our elementary school did not take class photos - didn't have annuals until high school. So I plan on doing my LOs about my family and friends and which house we were living in during those years. Many of the scanned photos will need to be cropped and edited but I will do that when I need them for LOs.

@Cherylndesigns I had a lot of fun with Momma O's challenge LO. Just had to do a St Pat's theme. So sorry you are also dealing with arthritis, too. Hope you get some relief soon, too.

Need more #coffee-3and to check on Jeff. Think I hear him stirring. HAGD

Good morning ladies. I was out yesterday with the camera, checking a spot to see if the bighorn sheep were around. It's a spot they frequent but I've yet to see them there. There were lots of them, as I walked around, they were sometimes just 10 feet or so away. I got a lot of photos. I put a few on FB. It was my first close encounter with them and it was so much fun. Then I went to the mall and found some gorgeous lightweight sweaters and pants for the cruise. I met another lady who was looking for hot weather cruise wear, she was going to Mexico. We ended up shopping in a few stores together and chatting. I met another lady in The Bay in the purse department, who had moved here a few yrs ago from the Vancouver area. We chatted for quite a long time. I was gone all day so no dog park yesterday but Jen played with the dogs a lot and kept them busy. The day flew by.

Darrell just woke up so I need to go tell him we got an email about our airflight home, it has been changed and it looks like we'll need a hotel room for the night b/c it has us returning to Vancouver at 11:30 pm so there is no way we're going to drive 4 hrs at that point.

HAGD everyone.

Good Morning, Everyone.
Beautiful, sunny morning here in NH. My DH is outside clearing the twenty four hours of snow...and I'm inside trying to catch up on chores. Laundry folded, lunches for the week made, clothing ironed, eight lbs of chicken thighs ground up for the cats, ...figured I could stop for a moment and say hi before continuing on... I spent all day yesterday still transferring and opening all the kits I lost from my external hard drive crash a few weeks ago. Slowly I'm getting the folders extracted and back together but boy is it's a long process. I did manage to play a bit last night and create one page.
This afternoon we're off the airport to pick up my mother in law who went to see family in FL for a month. I seriously don't mind the transport but darn, I'm not looking forward to three hours in the car. I'd rather stay home and scrap. lol

I hope everyone has a fabulous day.

Happy Sunday all.

My hands are a lot better today - thanks for asking, Kay @BrightEyes and Chris @faerywings I know you both suffer with the same thing, so you get it. I guess it was just the cold snap - they ached for two straight days. My Arthritis Strength Tylenol normally helps, but it didn't. I have a stash of topical meds - problem is, most of them are the type that you can't touch your eyes once you put them on. Ugh - my eyes itch all the time and I forget, then my eyes are stinging. I found some homeopathic salve that I bought at the Farmer's Market and it's not like that, so that's what I've been using. I must try to get some more of that - the woman who made it has her phone number on the bottom. Casey told me to use Arnica, but there's the eye thing with that, too. I usually put it on before going to bed.

Oh, BTW, I totally forgot to tell you all that Casey is a Certified Herbalist now - she's part of the American Herbalism Society! She's worked so hard to get her certification and has been going to school ever since I met her. She has sure helped me sleep (with the herbal tea) - I have her to thank for that.

I'm glad you girls enjoyed my challenge - I had fun "dreaming" it up and knew it would be a fun challenge.

Kay @BrightEyes how nice to have Jeff there - I'm sure you're having a wonderful visit and you get to show off your new car.

Linda @LSlycord hope you got what you wanted plant wise. Our outside pop up nurseries are starting to come alive so it won't be long. They pop up at the grocery stores, hardware stores and of course, Lowe's. You can tell that they're all getting ready for spring. I have quite a few plants started inside and they're starting to sprout.

I'm going to go check my challenge and I finally finished my LO for this week's AJ challenge, so I want to post that.

XOXO

@Cherylndesigns your comment about topicals hit home. I've been putting biofreeze on my knees a lot lately as oral meds aren't doing the trick. I swear... no matter how well I wash my hands... my eyes still end up burning. I can't even imagine using it on my hands.

And you have a challenge? I need to check out March's. I haven't even taken a peek yet.

Kay, enjoy your family visit!

Arline, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've told doctors that and they look at me like I have two heads. I don't even have to get some of them NEAR my eyes - it's almost like my eyes are "allergic" to them. I use Biofreeze on my back, but I use the rollon kind and I don't have a problem but there's NO way I could use it on my hands. I have a whole collection of topical meds, but can't even use most of them.

Yes, I have a challenge - I'm not on the Challenge Team, but I'm hosting Vicki Stegall's March Challenge. They open hers up to anybody, not just the Challenge Team. Here's the link: https://oscraps.com/community/threads/vicki-stegall-designs-momma-os-march-challenge.37179/

Good afternoon!
Not much going on here this afternoon.
We stopped at China One on the way home from church this morning for lunch. After eating my spring rolls, I finished up the leggings I was knitting to go with the poncho and hat for the baby.
IMG_20230305_154827960_MP.jpg

I have to say that I love the set, but I'm thinking the little leggings should have been longer, not sure!

Anyway, I think I want to buy a little sweater and leotards to go with the outfit, if I get a chance to get to Walmart this week.

That's it for me today. I think I'll do some scrapping this afternoon!
Have a good afternoon! It is beautifully sunshiny here and in the 60's. Hope your weather is pretty, too!

Good evening all. I came in this morning and had just started my post and my laptop froze and then the screen went black! Oh my goodness...I was so freaked out. I turned it off and left it off for about 15 minutes. Then I turned it back on and it seemed to be ok. So I put it away, ordered a new EHD and went with Brian to the nursery. It started rain yesterday afternoon so we decided to skip it yesterday but we found lots of beautiful plants. Came home and planted about 1/2 of them...thank goodness for Brian. Really needed his help...wouldn't have done half as much without him. Anyway, it's looking colorful on our pool deck now.

Good evening @Nonni F. I hope that you got plenty done today and that the airport drive wasn't bad.

@Cherylndesigns I am excited to try your challenge for Momma O's stuff. I think I'm going to get mine done for International Women's Day. Glad that the pop up nurseries are starting to open up. I got 4 new hibiscus but this time I put all of them into pots. I lost several during last winter's freeze and I decided that I would like to have some that I could just bring inside when it gets cold.

@bcgal00 what an adventure that was to see the bighorn sheep so close! I am so excited for you and D and your cruise. And yes, you did miss my news. March 20, I start back to work full time on Monday, March 20. Timing is actually perfect...both kids are on spring break the week prior so I can spend some time with all four of us together enjoying ourselves.

@BrightEyes so glad that Jeff got there last night. I hope that you had a great time at the grocery store and there is nothing better than having a pack horse to get those groceries in the house. Glad that you are feeling a bit better. Hopefully the winter weather is almost done! Question about the photos when you had long curls...did your mom do them with rags?

@faerywings glad that you scored big at FP! Hope that you can find the oven that is right for you. What a ridiculous thing to knock on the window of the oven. Seriously, that can't be any more difficult than the button. Glad that you are checking the dosage to see if that changes your mood.

@vickyday I have been extremely satisfied with the quality that Karen has done on the scanning. Beautifully done and she does return them. I don't have the email that she sent but if you are interested, send her an email at KarenSchulz02@gmail.com and she will send you all of the information.

Ok...I'm going to go work on a layout! Talk to you all tomorrow night.

WOW! So glad your computer came back after the shut down! Hope that was just a fluke and not an omen!
