I was a bad faery yesterday. I *really* didn't want to go to DMV. (In case you missed that.) When Gary offered to come with me one day next week, I jumped at that. I know, I really should have sucked it up and gone, but the more that I pondered, the more I didn't want to do it. :decision:

But since I was staying home, I sucked it up and did the other thing that I didn't want to do-- taxes. I finished the family's and Cait's. Scott's are mostly done but I want him to go over them with me before we file. Scott is going to end up having to pay. He took no deductions and had nothing withheld. I did that once when I was first working. I thought it was my money- and I was going to keep it, why should I hand it to the govt and get it back later? After that year, I felt it was better to take the deductions and then have a pleasant surprise in April.

When Cait got home from school, she needed to request official transcripts for the colleges that she got credit from when she was taking dual enrollments in high school. She is doing On-Site Decision Application to Ramapo College on the 24th and needs to have the documents for their Admission process. We had to go to all three schools' websites but darn it-- so much easier to do that then in the olden days. *grin* We had to write to the school and pay by check through snail mail. This was all able to be done online.
I have no worries that she won't be accepted. Scott was accepted last year and her GPA is 3.7~, a full point over his. I think both kids will be happy to be on the same campus again. They liked it when they were at the Community College last year.

Today, Cait and I are off to the Food Pantry and then I have the day to do whatever.
The dogs are doing better again like the fight never happened. Soooo darn nice to see wagging tails and sniffing butts. Yesterday, all three of them were walking in the LR nose to butt like a train. Gross but hysterical :pound:

The sun is out today so maybe it will melt some more of this snow. *fingers and toes crossed*

Thinking of toes, my goodness, I cannot wait to get my toes in the sand this summer. It can't get here soon enough.

Nancy- I am so sorry to hear about DH's aunt. That is horrible that it will cost so much to be with his family. But it is a good idea for him to be there.
Was Luther able to be out in the snow at daycare? R cracks me up because she usually just plods along outside, but she loves jumping through the snow.
Hoping that the Devils do great on their road trip.
I can go to a smaller DMV office so it won't be as bad as the huge one that I had to take the kids to for their road tests-- 3 and 4 hour waits with them. I should be out in an hour esp if I go mid-month.

Trudy- We have sun, we just need some of your warm temps. Now I feel bad that I refused to share our warm weather when you were freezing a couple of weeks ago. I caught up on laundry too, but I have more to do today. Why does everyone need clean laundry and fresh food all the time? Bah humbug!
Did Mason do better on the bus ride home? He reminds me so much of Scott. I didn't think he was going to have any issues on the school bus when he was in Kdg, but he cried every morning for over a week. In fact, one of the first days he didn't cry was 9-11. Not only was I terrified b/c of what happened I was worried that I was never going to get him on a bus again. I bet Mason will do fab!

Rae- I wish I could do more than kind words and good thoughts for you and J and B. But you have all of them. I am there with you, holding your hand and hugging you tightly.
Is there any way to get a restraining order for the boyfriend? I imagine that Jen has medical power of attorney or could get it if needed, maybe she has some legal authority to block him? The US has some pretty strong privacy laws and we might be able to get something done through that. I wish I knew more about how you could do that in CA. Maybe a social worker in the hospital can help?
Belly rubs on their way to Taz!

Jean- what a blur this week was here too. It was nice to sleep in a bit this morning since it had been such a strange feeling on Friday. Haha!! Oh yes, I can relate to putting off things, including blood work. Which reminds me that I was supposed to go in this week for my monthly blood work and I didn't do that either.
Ugh about the plow guy!
Woah! A year for women??? See what I mean? So much more progressive in the 70's than now. (I know -- many marginalized groups such as LGBT will disagree and rightly so).

I have to take the little butt outside. BRB!!

Felis-ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You got to work in the garden??? :hurt: I will never see my plants again! I know I will, but I miss seeing green things.
I am with you about Nancy. She does so much and is out way past my bedtime. several times a week! I think two dogs is a nice amount. Three can be a lot on occasion, especially since we don't have a fenced yard, but I wouldn't trade any of mine in.DMV is Division of Motor Vehicles- where we get our driver's licenses and that stuff. Lots of lines and waiting and cranky people- workers and customers LOL

I should get in the shower while W is having b-fast in her crate.

Have a wonderful day!!

Morning everyone! Another sunny morning but a heavy frost on everything, I have to check the hummingbird feeder and make sure its not frozen! Well DH is going to keep me busy again this weekend, we really need to get into the back yard and clean up all the debris that is scattered all over the lawn. So many broken branches and pine cones from the wind storms and heavy snow. It will be interesting to see if anything survived the winter months, I am sure that there is lots of new growth out there under all that crap! Also running a few errands and grocery shopping. I live a boring life :bored:

Chris - Well at least you got your taxes done! I totally understand not wanting to go to the DMV! If it is as bad as most people say it is then I would procrastinate too! Not sure if our system is totally different from yours, but I have never had to even really wait in line to renew our drivers licences and everyone seems pretty happy there LOL. But then our little city is not that busy compared to where you are. Yes Mason did do well on the ride home from school, actually he fell asleep LOL poor little guy was still not totally over his flu I guess, then the next day catching the bus in the morning no tears, but he pulled his touque down further on his face, so no one could see him. I suppose this too shall pass, he is a funny kid! Wish I could go with him and tell him its all ok! Poor Scott it must have been heartbreaking for you to see him crying everytime he caught the bus!!

Felis - How nice that you got to spend time out in your garden and soaking up the sunshine! I hope to do that today also. Sorry you did not get to do any scrapping, but sometimes we need a break from it, and I know that you will be busy scrapping away for the birthday party challenges etc.

Jean - That is too bad about the snow plow guy not showing up!! Hope that your blood pressure did not rise too much with all that shoveling, it is really hard work!! Hoping you get some warmer temps and sunshine to melt all that white stuff away! I too felt like this week was a blur, but then I feel like every week is that way :becky:

Rae - I was the watch dog for my Heather when she was in the hospital too, she had some not so good friends that were always trying to visit her and the nurses were great to come and get me first before they would let them go into her room. I turned them away so many times that they just gave up. However she did have some of her other classmates that were great kids come to visit and her face would light up when she saw them. I hope that you can get some kind of restraining order, but DH says that would only be if he threatens her or has beat her in the past and you fear for her life or you can prove that he has forced her to take drugs against her will. I am with Chris and we are both there holding your hand and giving you all gentle hugs!

Ok I better get my man some breakfast and hit the shower. Lots of yard work to do after the frost melts away. Have a good Saturday everyone!

Hello girls! Here is same like Trudy described it. Sunny and we had to work at yard. My family is really crazy. Dad work on a tree at one side of the yard, mom on flowers in other side, between them have maybe 5 meters and they yell all the time, which makes dog to barking. I gone out and ask WHATS is happen here, for what is all this noise?! And they say: "Nothing, we just talk!" , *really fast rolling eyes*, we aren't the only people in this world, be quiet please! If I hear them till clean inside, our neighbours in their yards can hear them with sure, and this isn't good behavior. They are realy nuts. :) I spend time out with the dogs and cats, but not much in gardening :) .

Chris, so you don't have a fenced yard and wood start against your property so they are on one? Sounds marvelous! Must be so pretty. But also unpractical with three dogs, isn't it dangerous for them to let play around? I was also wondering about Floyd, is he still feels lonely or become part of the dogs band?! Oh yes driver's licenses needs many documents and queuing up. But the other taxes comes calculated from the government and comes bill how much you have to pay, except for people who have their own business. I'm sure that It will be accepted she is so smart girl!

Trudy, hehe, you knows me well, I'll ignore the other stuff till I play at the O Birthday fun. OK, how you have a branches when you don't have tree? Or I'm remembered this wrong?!

I'm left notes for other girls yesterday. I have just to explain that I meant Rae's husband to make B's boyfriend to believe that they have restraining order, it's not necessary to be true, men like him wouldn't just to go to the police and check do it's true.
And Nancy, I very sorry about your husband aunt loss! I wasn't understood this correctly before Chris' coment! Excuse me for that!

LOL Felis you are right we do not have a single tree in our backyard, but all the neighbours do and it seems that when they lose all their old dead branches, they fall in our yard! GRRR!!

good afternoon - got up late and took Luther to a park and oh it was so fun to see him play in the snow. It is mostly cloudy but snow is melting. But wow the damage this snow caused in our town and neighboring towns from the wet snow on trees and the power lines. It should be lots of new growth this spring when we get to spring LOL. Now the Luther is sleeping. Just saw that one of my hockey pages is this week's Anna's lift. Makes me happy. I have two weeks of no home games so I can catch up on my hockey pages. Made an awesome dinner last night parmesan crusted steak with mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli. Nothing special but the crusted on the steak was so good. My boys were very happy! I have hockey games on all day from 1pm to whenever love these days! My poor team is down two of its centers and they are going up against the top team in the West the Nashville Predators. But I tell myself any team can beat any team on a given night.

Chris is it sad that something seemingly so easy renewing a driver's license should give us stress. Crazy. That is nice that Gary will go with you. I kinda like going by myself because if I have to wait I can just pull out my phone and read. If some one is with me then I will be stressed at having them have to wait. That is sad about Scott crying not to ride bus. My kids too had meltdowns. Congrats on getting the taxes done - that is a real accomplishment.

Trudy not surprised that you have a busy weekend with the DH. Not boring at all. Glad that Mason did well on the bus. How sweet he fell asleep. They are really just babies and school is long for them. My son's schools were always within walking distance so no buses for them. But they did go to after school programs and got to ride buses them. From what I could tell they were always so loud that no one slept. Good luck to the Bruins today. Early morning hockey for you!

Rae good news about Bailey being more wakeful and eating. That is horrible about the hospital not helping in keeping out the boyfriend. She does not need that at this time in her recovery! Sending hugs and sounds like you are taking some time for yourself which is needed too!

Felis thanks for the advice on getting him a playmate. I have so many travel plans coming up that now is for sure not a good time. I will just keep him going to his day care so he has plenty of friends. Wow cant believe your weather was good enough to go out to your garden. That makes me feel like spring is around the corner.

Jean that is not nice of the snow plow not to show up. Hope the blood giving went well.

Have a great day all!

Happy Sunday!
I hate the clock change for Daylight Saving Time. That lost hour kills me for the first couple of days. But it will be lovely to see the sun after dinner still.

I have to be brief today. My parents are coming up with bagels in a bit. Then I have to figure out what my week is going to look like. (DMV. Must go to DMV.) The weather forecast has snow again?! Both kids are on Spring Break so they will be around too. (yay!)

I didn't get much of anything done yesterday. Cait and I had a fun time at the FP-- we looked at pictures of the pets on our phones while we waited. She took a picture of the Jesus mural that looks like Scott and we decorated it with Stickers and texted it to him. He was not amused. hahaha!!!

That is about it.

Have a wonderful day!

Trudy- Any signs of new growth while you were outside doing debris cleanup?
OMG-- Mason is so cute, he must have been wiped out to fall asleep on the bus. Scott would break my heart, he would cry when I left him at preschool too.

Felis- I am laughing my butt off at your parents. Sounds like my family!
My property is very small, and my house sits on the majority of what we won. But the way the trees line it on two sides, it has a barrier that we use and the neighbors on the far side don't care. My neighbors on the other side own a huge portion of the woods behind my house for the main purpose of keeping it as woods. They are thrilled that we use it for hikes and stuff. It is very pretty, especially when it is full of green leaves and flowers.
Floyd hangs out upstairs and bugs the kids nonstop.;) Cait put the cat tower in her room by the window and he gets to watch all of the birds from there.

Oh, I wonder if that would be an option for Rae to tell the boyfriend that there is a TRO against him. Can't hurt for them to try?

Nancy- I hope that the snow continues to melt. It is still piled up really high and no sign of grass, not even by the septic.
Spring?? What's that?? :faint:
Congrats on your page being used for the Anna Lift!

Time for me to get the table ready for b-fast.
xoxo!

We rush to finish the garden because next days they gives to rain and all will be muddy again. Actually garden are just a small parts of the yard here and there, so it's not difficult just time consuming.

L O L, Trudy, such a unmannerly branches, to run around free and to go in the foreign yards! :caked: Sorry, I laugh on that so much, but really it's not cool to have to do someone else's work, because of the Nature caprice.

Nancy, congrats for the Anna's lift! Totally deserved! I don't think I can do pages like yours without template, love them! Sound like these two weeks of no home games comes in right time for the O birthday party.

Chris, here every house have a fence, mostly because other people can be dangerous for you and your dogs :) . Sounds nice to be peaceful with neighbours like yours. So you change the clock today? I'm not sure when have to be done here, if we change it at all, because this year EU wants to cancel it. Have fun with your family! Yep, mine is crazy and that's why I love it, most of the time ;) .
