Over the last week, my printer wouldn't turn on, then it did, then it wouldn't grab the paper, then it did. My card reader wouldn't work, so I had to connect my camera directly tot he computer, which I never had to do before.My monitor turned itself off and wouldn't turn back, then it did. This morning my keyboard stopped working, now it is..... The last thing is my tablet driver isn't running, which normally just needs a re-boot to reset itself, but after 3 tries I gave up.
Technology = :evil:

But the sun is shining, my kids are happy, Gary isn't throwing up (yet) and its the weekend!

what good stuff do you all have planned, especially with Father's Day for some of us? I have to make cookies to fill the Father's Day gift mugs I bought, then clean up my wreck of my house. Photos need to be scrapped! Then I would looooove to get over to the lake some sun, even if just for an hour.

Tomorrow we are off to my IL's for Father's Day.

laurie- hope YMG made it home safe and sound and you had some nice time to relax together.

Trudy-glad you didn't get blown away by the wind, and good for you for going on the treadmill. That Family Tree sounds like a big project but I am sure it is going to be phenomenal when it is done!

Phyllis- hope you are feeling better today. No need to do personals every day, even just a quick wave is a treat for us!

Nana- I have done that too with FB posts set to me, LOL I amloving all of you pages- you are my scrap hero!!!!!

Maureen- Scott's big issue with Computer Apps is that his teacher didn't know as much as he did when it come to many of the programs, so he basically ignored her. He said he could have taught the class better himself. So why then did you fail, dude???It should have been an easy A!!!!!

hi, there, y'all. Chris, i'm right here with ya with the iron in the water. we're on a well. are you? we had to install a water treatment system as soon as we bought this house. and i'm with ya on technology. because of the Comcast system upgrade, i have to instal yet another device with freakin' cables going into mysterious places that i have to figure out myself. i'm pretty sure i'm just going to cancel my cable. we rarely watch tv, so it won't be a loss.

Nana, woot on the potty training! your post made me feel like i was there! too cute and funny.

Clara, congrats on the job which sounds great. maybe your coffee biz can be your extra fun on the side!

Maureen, i have plenty of sun, so i SHOULD get great zuccini. last year, 10 plants, lots of only male flowers= NO zucchini. but, wow do i have tomatoes! hopefully they will all grow to be big and red.

Weekend is here ... and so is the rain I'm sitting here watching old shows on a Swedish TV channels website and play Sliding Blocks - my favorite waste of time game It's one of them really old games, not even sure it can be downloaded anymore, I'm sure it's from the stone age or something LOL

The European Championship in soccer is over for Sweden after the loss against England yesterday. Well ... it was expected ... not fun though.

No plans for the weekend ... as usual ... I'm such a boring person. Never do anything No Father's Day in Sweden this weekend. Father's Day is in November here.

Here's wishing the big "BEST BUY" faery will stop by your house!! :becky: But I hear ya sweetie....I was having issues with my printer a couple of weeks ago...it would say the ink was low and it wasn't....I would print something and one page would be okay and then the rest were very faded, as if the ink was low...I would start a new print...same thing....just gave up....a few days later...worked fine :noidea:
But very happy that everyone is very happy at your very happy house today :becky: (did ya get that??)

Phylis...ya should have been here...it was soooooo "fun" :dizzy: (I could have shared "jellybeans" with you...hehe..thanks) I feel for you on the water treatment system..my daughter and her DH had to replace the one in their house as soon as they bought it....it's been a real PIA since..hope you don't have too many problems like they do. and OMG!!! rarely watch TV??? We have not made plans for Father's day yet..... sigh......kind of sad...but after all the horrid horrid family events with Traci...the last year we have not planned anything...everything is pretty impromptu.....but...having said that....we did not have a Mother's Day get together, we did not have a Memorial Day get together, we did not have a Easter get together, ......and looking like no Father's day get together....how freaking sad is that??? ONE PERSON...causing all this problem!!! Well Father's day is more than one person....WHERE ARE MIKE'S KIDS???? yeah...another drama for another day................

..................and we are still using the potty every time..... even pooping....I am so stunned!!! :dizzy: She has had one accident when we were outside yesterday....

Well...better run scrap...no kids here for the next few hours...gone visit my Mom and Traci....makes me nervous...

morning all doggie got me up at 4:51 to go out and I have been up since. I accomplished a lot in the first two hours, but losing my poop now- we head to the vets in an hour or so. Not much else- MMG and I both have work stuff to do, I want to do more decluttering and not sure about scrapping.

Morning everyone... One day of sun and then we are back to rain again :rain: spring on the West Coast :mmph: I want summer!!!! Not much planned for today, some grocery shopping and perhaps I will tackle the closet in my craft room :scared: lots of clutter and not sure what else has been hiding in there for a long time now!

Chris - I swear there are techno gremlins out there somewhere... the other day I turned on my computer and it was just like when I first purchased it?? There were no folders, no pictures the wallpaper was the Dell wallpaper that was on it when I first got it?? It scared the Hell out of me, because I thought everything was lost. I rebooted it and everything was fine WTH?? :noidea: then yesterday out of the blue, my printer turned itself on, that scared the you know what out of me!! Made me jump LOL. Glad that the sun is shining for you and hope you get to the beach!! How nice that everyone is in a good mood at your house today!!

Phylis - ITA with Linda... what the hell do you do if you don't watch T.V. :becky: I don't watch a whole lot of it but I would be lost without some of my favorite shows!!

Nana Linda - I am doing the happy dance with you about the potty training :dance: I am really hoping that Sadie (my granddaughter) will soon be potty trained its so nice to have them out of diapers!! My side of the family rarely does get togethers anymore either. I have two sisters and a brother that will most likely never talk to one another ever again and so it makes family events pretty hard to do! So silly, they are all older than me, but I sure wish they would just grow up already!!! And how could you possibly be boring??? You have no time to be boring!! :becky: Have a great day!! :hug:

Trudy, do you guys always have such a wet spring? hope the sun comes back soon! your clematis look fabulous! i can't grow those things to save my life, for some reason.

Nana, my hubby looked me in the eye a few days ago and told me to just ignore Father's Day. he said :" I just want to forget about it." i'm guessing this has to do with the "daughter" situation. honestly. kids.

there seems to be a lot of de-cluttering going on. Laurie, Trudy. guess is should get busy and toss something out! i did manage to get rid of our old bedroom furniture today, to the room where it was piled into now need cleaned. so. here i GO!

so our doggie has laryngeal paralysis, which is typically treated by surgery, however- can also be treated by steroids and staying inside during hot weather oh and keeping him calm- since he is home alone all day inside that should work. It is hot here so for now just hanging inside, scrapping- have the laundry done for the weekend. Life is good

LAURIE!!! WOOHOOOO!! good news about the dog....my Mom's last dog, the one she spoiled the most....he had some breathing issues the last couple of years of his life and had to stay in all the time in the A/C. That dog was so spoiled....he would go out in the winter on the back deck and lay in the sun....if he wasn't warm enough, he would just yelp until she came to the door...he did not get up...just yelped...and she would go get his blanket and cover him up....all the dogs we had over the years....that was the only one she spoiled that way.

Trudy...sweetie...you can have some of our heat...it's getting pretty hot here!! OK. i think i need to clarify the TV comment: i DO watch some tv. i just watch it through the various apps on my iPad. like i watch "Mystery" via streaming video on my iPad through the PBS app. i watch "Grimm" on my iPad through the NBC app. i don't get SyFy on my cable, so i BUY episodes of Warehouse 13 on iTunes and watch it! i just never sit down in front of my actual TV and watch stuff!

never did declutter anything yesterday. i did a lot of vacuuming instead, after all the old bedroom furniture was carted away by my BIL and SIL. today it's supposed to rain, so i can go declutter something when that starts!

Good morning to all of you! Please tell all of the fathers in your life Happy Father's Day and that we couldn't going do it all without them.

(Try not to laugh as you say that, laughing ruins the "Sincerity Effect.")

I'm kidding, I wouldn't be able to do it all without Gary, who else would have taken out the dead mouse and millipede that were in my house yesterday? I could have asked Scott, but then without Gary, Scott wouldn't exist. Yeah, I guess I need him

We are making Gary breakfast- coffee cake and scrambled eggs, then the kids and I are going to my IL's for a BBQ. We were hoping he would be able to join us, but he is in really bad shape the last few days.

My FIL got 2nd degreee burns on his right hand (grabbed a hot pot, ouch!) so I am actually going to email MIL to see if she needs any extra help and I'll come down early. Off to do that before I forget, and then I will be back here!

Hehe, I told MIL that with Dad's hand being hurt, she might need an extra, and I could bring six. I am sooo corny!

Phyllis- we have a well, and a house filter and tap filters. It can get icky!
We flip between thinking about going with something like HuluPlus (?) and our cells and get rid of cable and land line, but we just have not been able to do it. I really wish that they could come up with a color-coded-cable system. Behind my desk- I swear it is a jungle!!!If they could color code, blue for printers, red for monitors, etc-- it would make it at least a tiny bit easier, right?

Eva- nope your not lazy or boring at all. IMO- you have your priorities set more realistically than people like me who feel that if they are not running 100 mph, they are not doing "enough." Hope you have a great rest of the weekend!

Side note: You know that even I have had too much running around when my brother asked me yesterday to babysit Christopher next weekend and I told him I couldn't. Well, not really. I told him that I would if he couldn't find anyone else to do it. But it is still a step in the right direction, right??

Nana-omg, you are so funny!I amso happy that you can laugh about all of your crazy life stuff, even if it sounds a bit maniacal and hysterical bwuahahahah!!!

I am so sorry that you have to deal with all of that crap. It really is crazy how one person can really wreck everything around her. But on a good note- the kids sound like they are settling down a bit.

Hi all..

I have crossed the big water...i.e. the Potomac River...and am now dog sitting in Virginia. Waaay up the road from NanaLinda! My duties are light - just water the plants and give the old dog a bunch of tlc and occasional lunch meat treats. I plan to do a lot of Netlflix watching as well as starting the ACDSee class that Kayla Lamoreaux is teaching. It starts tomorrow! I have all my stuff on my portable ehd and may do some more Italy scrapping too.

Fathers' Day? nothing. My father died when I was 28 - LouGehrig's disease, and each of my husband's has his own children to congratulate him. Dick is going out to lunch with his daughter today so he's set.

Sharon and the kids came over and breakfast this morning....that was nice...she stayed until about half and hour ago....after Jaid-a-bug takes her nap, we will go visit my Dad for a bit....no get together.....I talked my Mom a little while ago, and I told her that in September when things cool down, we would plan a full blown family get together and I would handle it..we will do it at her house....and maybe after all that passed time we might be able to have something nice...we will see...

Happy Father's Day to all those great Dads out there today!! My son in particular whom I think is Super Dad!! He has been handling his two babies all by himself for the past three months while his wife is away on a course for the Military! My husband keeps saying that he would have never been able to do what our son has done. I called him last night and told him how proud we were of him and that we thought he was the greatest Daddy!!

Lots of cleaning up for me today as nothing got done yesterday, but I had a stroke of good luck yesterday!! We went to the Grand Opening of the Coast Capitol Savings Bank yesterday because they were having a hot dog sale to raise money for Cops for Cancer. Well I did not want to go because I knew it would be a zoo as they were giving away these little wallets and ten of them contained 100 dollar bills. Anyway it was lunch time and we were both hungry so hubby decided we should give to the Cause and try our luck. Well guess who won $100.00?? I was stunned!! I never win anything!! It was a good day!!! :becky:

Well I have to get some brunch going and get the house cleaned for the Fathers Day Dinner tonight. Will try to get some personals done later on. Have a great day everyone!! :wave:
