Oh wow- we had the most perfect weather here yesterday- 85*, low humidity. Perfect beach weather. of course, the lake isn't open during the weeks until June 27. Today- cloudy, cold dreary. Tomorrow, T-storms. I wanna go to the lake!

I am going to see my baby-boy today, so that is nice!! My kids can't wait.

What plans do all of you have? I hope your weather is better than here.

We had storms last night. I am on a recumbant bike as the treadmills were taken. Not sure Iike it, but I can post & move at same time.

Good morning!!! I'm up earlier than I'd like to be but I'll take a nap later I am sure. I have decided that my EBV may have definitely flared up again. I am just sleeping soooooo much and am needing 10-12 hours of sleep. I need to see the doctor this month anyway so I'll talk to her and see if there is anything I can do to help. Or else I am imagining things and just need to go to bed at a decent hour. We'll see. At least now I am an adult, not working and can deal with it effectively. It will all be fine...plus I get to go to Washington soon and my momma will be dealing with kidlets in the morning. Yay!!! I cannot wait to get home for a month. If only Derek could come with me for the whole time.

So, today will be a lazy day. We have nothing really planned which will be great. I just wish we had someplace fun to go. Too bad. Ethan's last day of school was yesterday so now I have to figure out how to entertain him and Addie. There is a rock climbing camp that could be great for Ethan. And it isn't too expensive. Most of the theaters are showing cheap movies too. Yay!! Addie loves movies and so does Ethan. We could go to every single one and have it not cost much...although the kids always think they need candy and popcorn, thanks to their daddy. LOL

Well, I'm gonna head out.

Chris - enjoy that little boy. I am still so excited for your brother after all the heartache in the past. I'm glad they are getting their happy ending. Are they gonna have a baby shower now?? Have fun today.

Laurie - well, that's cool that there is a bonus to the recumbent bike. You get to hang out at the O!! Yay!! Enjoy your day.

Or else I am imagining things and just need to go to bed at a decent hour.

Hahaha never!!! I need you to keep me sane at night!!! Although that's probably really what it is, I really hope, because having EBV again right now majorly sucks.

Grrrr so I'm pet sitting and I left my extra contacts at home, so of course I'm having issues with the contacts I do have. :? I can't really see unless I touch my nose to the screen :mmph: Once they settle back onto my eyeballs I'll come back for personals.

Not off to such a good start here. We have a beautiful day...although chilly! But no rain so that's good! And we are having family pictures...everyone in jean shorts and white shirts...until Sydney spilled red koolaid on her white shirt...while trying to drink it with a spoon.

I was so tired last night that I went to bed at 7:30 and slept until 7:30 in the morning. Ok...sounding like a whiner here...I'll be back later when my mood is better!

Morning everyone... I have been MIA here for few days, although I am sure I posted here on Thursday, but I don't see it anywhere, weird !!
Not much happening here today, hubby was very sick last night and was :puke:lots during the night. Yuck!! But he says he is feeling much better and wants to go to RONA to pick up some garden block and get to work outside today. We will see. Cloudy and cool here today also. Really want to spend some time here today and get a couple of the challenges done. Something always seems to come up and I never get the chance!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend and hopefully the weather turns beautiful again for all of you!!

I told you that I'd make it back when I wasn't so whiney! The photo shoot turned out great...Daddy grabbed the shirt, did the Oxyclean, though it into the wash...then I held it outside the window of the car as we drove to the lake. Must have been quite a sight...but it worked! The kids were charming and playful during the shoot and the photographer took her time and just enjoyed the experience with us...might be due to the fact that she knows that I can never stop buying.

It's an absolutely beautiful day in Iowa. We had lunch at On the Border after the photoshoot...then had dessert at Coldstone Creamery. Don't think we will be having supper. :eyebrows:

Supposed to start raining again tomorrow. We had 9+ inches in less than 48 hours...the basement is a little bit wet! :rain:

Ok...heading to the shop...I need to do some scrapping!

Linda S -- the laugh of the day- the visual you holding the shirt out of the window of the car to dry! That is not only hysterical, but damn smart!

My turn to be cranky I guess. Cold and rainy here again today- no beach for me.
we had a nice time with the baby, even though Gary was home throwing up. (What else is new?)

Laurie- you are so good, exercising even when you are away.

Meg- ugh, that bites about the contacts, I was at my mom's once and I got a tear in my lens and had to drive home that way. Now I keep an old pair of glasses in my car, worst case scenario, I can take the lenses out and put the dork glasses on.

Trudy- I know that I commented to you about the new job- so I know I saw your post. Hope YMG is all better today.

Clara- feel better- make sure you get lots of rest! Being single mom last week might have done just enough to tire you out. yay for moms taking care of us!

Linda S- that is a LOT of rain! Hope that the sun comes out soon.

xoxo

PS: I'll prob post this again tomorrow- but the court date for the birth mom to give up parental rights is tomorrow. For those of you who pray/send good thoughts.. anything you can say to make it go smoothly would be very much appreciated. Thanks and hugs!

So, yesterday we left the hotel and went to the 50's fest and danced and enjoyed the old cars, the amish buggies, and our friends came and we danced more, grabbed some food- not fair food, but all homecooked - Yum- got a little sunburned, went to wineries and ate dinner at the last one. We got home at midnight- lots of clean up today, lawnmowing, laundry- happy Sunday!

LindaS- your photo shoot sounds wonderful
Clara- hope you feel better soon
Trudy- hope your husband is well
Chris- how is your weather? Very much cooler and breezy here.
Meg- hope your contacts are feeling .

I need to go hit the treadmill!

Chris...I'm praying...praying hard!!!

Laurie...your weekend (well the first part of it) sounds like exactly what I needed

Clara...you Praise Mama you....thanks for all of your sweet comments on my layouts!!!

Nuntil Sydney spilled red koolaid on her white shirt...while trying to drink it with a spoon.

Your kids do that too, huh? They act like they've never seen a spoon before and it is this big novelty thing when it is just a spoon. Both of my kids do it and it makes me crazy.

Chris - I will be praying for your brother all day today. As often as I can remember. Big hugs for all of you.

Happy Sunday everyone... It's a sunny day and I don't have to go to work so Hooray!!! Hubby is feeling much better, my sister says its a strange flu that is going around, so hopefully I won't get it!! I don't have time to be . My MG had to go into work today for a few hours to get ready for a big court case coming up, hopefully he will be home by lunch and we can spend the day together going for a hike and perhaps spend some time in the garden. We will see how he is feeling.

Chris - I am sending out positive vibes to the Universe for your brother today!!! Hope that your cranky feeling goes away fast and the rain gives way to beautiful blue skies!!

Laurie - Sounds like you had a great time at your fifties fling!! Now back to reality and :washing:.

Linda - Too cute on the kool-aide story!! I have dried many things hanging out the window of our car, but not for quite a few years LOL.

Clara - Hope you find lots of fun things to do with the kids this summer! Enjoy every minute that you can with them, soon they will be grown and not want to hang out with their mom and dad. I hope that you are feeling better today also!!

Meg - You should really carry a pair of glasses with you in your purse, I am starting to have trouble seeing with my glasses now and so it must be time for another check up!! Not sure i want to try contacts at my age, besides with my astigmatism I think that they are harder to get the right fit!

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend, I am off to try to scrap a page this morning, wish me luck!!

Your kids do that too, huh? They act like they've never seen a spoon before and it is this big novelty thing when it is just a spoon. Both of my kids do it and it makes me crazy.

Totally insane...they've now been given instructions that spoons are for stirring...and that's it!!!

It's gray here...and chilly...only upper 60's! Perfect weather for napping. Need to get down to Mom and Dad's for awhile this afternoon and then special showing of a movie at church...so need to get back there tonight. Grace Card...previews look good.

My uncle passed away Friday night and the funeral is Wednesday. Need to work through details of who is staying with Mom and that kind of stuff.

I'm thinking Shaun's first swim meet will get rained out tomorrow night (only one of the season that is at an outdoor pool) which actually makes the week seem a little easier!

Ok...I'll be back later.
