You are all so wonderful!! I looked at all of the animal pictures and they made me smile a lot. Thank you!!
I survived yesterday and am planning on taking a mental day off today. Dirt Therapy. I need it.
Yesterday started out hectic and ended even more hectic. Drop off at the vet was fine, work was fine. Busy-- sure, but nothing I couldn't handle. I could drive to the vet with my eyes closed practically and my friend is on vacation so no one was in the house while I was there. Got home, showered (washed my hair and I must have had 10 bobby pins lost in it! LOL!!!!), grabbed lunch, and then tackled the ACDSee problem. Again. I still haven't heard back from the IT guy so I decided that I was going to delete the registry keys on my own. What was the worst that was going to happen, it was going to crash again? pfft.
I did that, forced it to recreate a new Database, and then restored it to an earlier backup point. Then I optimized the DB hoping that cleaning it up would keep it from crashing again. While that was running, Cait asked if I would drive her to pick up the babies. We get home, I make dinner. After dinner, I am just started to watch tv with Gary, PJs on, contacts out, feet up when she runs down asking me for help. Evie ripped out all of her glue and stitches. This is at 6.15 pm- she called the vet, they close at 6.30 but said for us to come as soon as we can. 5 minutes later I am dressed and in the car with Caitlyn racing up the mountain to get there quickly. Stuck behind sooooooo many people driving under the speed limit. normally, I don't let that get to me but if they decide to leave before we go there- that would mean going to the emergency place an hour and a half in the other direction that is also $$$$.
But we made it, the vet reglued her and bandaged her up, and hopefully, that will at least keep her from getting at the stitches. By the time we got back home I was so wound up, I ate so many Christmas cookies. (In reality, I only ate 4 but since I usually limit myself to 2 at a time, it felt like a lot LOL!!!)
Today I am heading out in the yard. I have some CT stuff I need to do here and that is going to be it. I need to get away from this desk and out of my brain for a while. I haven't seen my Toad Friend in a while so I am going to look for them. Definitely going to talk to the bees and tell them they are doing a great job on pollinating. *nods head*
Thanks again for putting up with my erratic moods. xoxo
