Happy weekend and good morning to you all.

I am so happy! Gary got the notification that the sofa is out for delivery. yippppeeeeee!!:D I can't wait to see it. On top of that, my sneakers are coming today so I am going to happy feet again. My mom got me new sneakers for Christmas. The same brand/model as the ones I am wearing now, but they were the latest version. The cut/padding around the ankle was hitting wrong so I returned them and we went looking for a new style that would work. After trying on so many different styles and brands, I could not find one that would work for my flat feet and pronation. The frustrating part is that since my sneakers are discontinued it was next to impossible to find them online. As soon as I found them in my size and in a color that was not completely obnoxious to me (orange and yellow? Mmmmm-nope!), I grabbed them.

So another good day ahead.
I had a good day yesterday too. Gary's Rx was only $8 and since his last one was almost $200, I was worried. I got in a 15-min yoga session and finished one scrappage and started a second. Today I am off to the Pantry and then going to be bouncing around the house in my new sneaks. I should run around too, new sneakers make you run faster and jump higher.;)
When I was a kid, I truly believed that new sneakers did that. I would jump up and down in my living room, sprint up and down the hallway. Sure, in my mind I was sprinting but I have never been physically coordinated. Hahaha!
Did you ever think that sneakers had magical powers?

Once I finish the LO I started, I hope to start scanning so you might just see some baby pics of me in the next week.

What plans do you have this weekend?

@LSlycord I saw on FB that Syd is home for the weekend, While I am sad that she is not feeling great, my heart is happy that you get to take care of her.
Pfft to the mean neighbor, I hope that your feeder brings lots of birds to your house and lots of bird poop to her's #devil
Ok, ok-- not too much poop to her, I don't want to start trouble *G*

@BrightEyes *bows down to the scanning Queen* 80 photos in one day. Wow! You have the routine down to a science. How special to find Bill's kid photos too. As I get older, I wish I had more stories from my grandparents. Your grands and g-grands will appreciate your hard work in the years to come.
I will have to check out your gallery to see Bill next.

@bcgal00 Sounds like a fantastic trip., How were the photo ops, did you get to see that waxwing? Hope so!

@taxed4ever I noticed it too, the days are longer and it isn't pitch black when Cait gets home from work :D
How exciting to spruce up the bedroom. Did you pick anything out? My Gary is making me laugh, he has been mentally rearranging the furniture in the LR since we ordered the loveseat. Every day he comes up with something new or sends me links to end tables. I would *love* to get new stuff but since I am the one who deals with paying the bills/creative math... I am always saying No. :/
But in a perfect world, there is nothing better than freshening up stuff

@vickyday Boo to your Lazy Fairies! How was your Date Night dinner? Double Date night, really. Not sure if you call it a date night but I think it is ♥
I am LMBO at your tip to scrap more by ignoring everything else. Wish I could but between the dogs, the hubs, and the phone/texts- it like is never possible *eye roll*

@Cherylndesigns Poor Dexter. Is he typically a maniac type of cat or was it just the stitches that got to him? I remember when Evie the Rat got spayed and tore all of the glue off within an hour of getting her back home and we had to race back to the vet before they closed. I never sped up the mountain so fast, hope to never do it again.
And Bailee reminds me of when we had to sedate J after her knee surgery. She was on so many meds and on a PT schedule I had it written on the chalkboard. Gary didn't realize I had already dosed her with the sedatives and he gave them to her. The poor dog was stoned out of her gourd Bwuahahah!!! We did check with the vet to make sure she would be ok, then we laughed our butts at her
Hope that all of the furbabies are good and don't forget the treats from me #kiss
5-minute planks! That is darn impressive, stinks that you can't do them now but I know you'll get there. I used to be able to do them but now I'm doing them modified, knees down. I am focusing on keeping my back straight and will eventually stop shaking

The delivery van is about 30-40 minutes away, I am going to get dressed/brush my teeth and hair so I don't; scare the people when they get here.

xoxo

Good morning. Yesterday didn't go quite as planned so I never made it back for personals and I didn't get my 10 minutes on the treadmill. I slept until 8 this morning and it's a little cold (64°) out this morning so we have the fire going on the lanai. I think I slept so well because Sydney was home so my little family of 4 was all under one roof again.

So, the reason that I didn't make it back here yesterday is that Brian and I went down to Gainesville to have lunch with Syd. She wanted to do a Chinese buffet so we did but she really still wasn't feeling well. She isn't running a fever any longer but she is still coughing and has an awful runny nose and sore throat. All week she was attending career fairs, going to professional club meetings and even an interview for an internship position (only one in the country and it's in Chicago so not likely but good interviewing experience). That along with a new slate of classes had her wiped out. She was complaining so much so I told her that maybe she could just "toughen up a little bit". She said that she was finally with people that she was comfortable with and she could be honest so she would be. LOL That's true. We were on our way to stop and get a few things at Walmart for snacks and she said, "Can I just come home with you and have you bring me back Monday?" Well, we all know my answer to that!

I'm going to go refill this coffee cup and I'll be back for personals.

The 'snow' yesterday turned out to be just tiny snowflakes that didn't even cover the ground! At least the mountains got a lot more - over 2' on several of them. We need the snow pack for water this summer. Another front is coming in Monday night/Tuesday and the warnings are out that we should get snow here in the valley.

Did a couple of errands yesterday morning - Post Office to pay bills, the library and picked up 5 books, and over to the Senior Citizen Center and picked up a couple more books. And, yes, I did have my pork chop dinner last night. It was so good along with the fresh yellow squash as a side along with a fresh fruit salad. Will have a rerun of that tonight. Yummy!

I hope to scan in the photos from Mom's 2nd album plus the rest of the loose photos. Then I can put the albums away and get the loveseat cleaned off. I found a photo of mother standing outside holding me when I was a newborn - wrapped up in a blanket. It is pretty faded so not sure I will be able to salvage it enough to use. At least I got all the scanned photos tagged yesterday.

I need to get out in the garage and move some boxes and other things from the 2-car side over to the 3rd car side before I get the new car. Since I was down to 1 car I had the grandson stack a few boxes from the attic on that side. Time to go through them and decide what needs to be given away or discarded. I will have both the SUV and the new car for a bit of time and I want to park them both inside the garage.

@faerywings when I was a kid, there was a sneaker called "Red Ball Jets". They had a little red ball sticker on the back and they advertised that you would run faster and jump higher. Well it was on TV, so it had to be true! LOL I may need to write a story for a layout. You have a lot of exciting stuff going on right now! The new sofa, the new (to you) photos to scan and great news on Gary's med price!

LOL I won't tell you how mad I was at the neighbor when I read his comment on the Facebook page. If he thought it was against the HOA rules, why not just look it up. Another neighbor chimed in and asked why in the world we wouldn't allow bird feeders. Mike then responded he was afraid it would attract other wildlife. So that gave me the opportunity to explain the "hot pepper" bird seed, feeding clean, etc. Wouldn't it be easier to just talk to us? Oh well.

@faerywings So sorry the loveseat delivery was delayed a day. Glad to hear they were on the way to your house. LOL over Gary talking about rearranging furniture in the room... and wanting to replace the end tables you have had forever. I have had the coffee and end tables in my living room since 1977 and the dresser and chest-of-drawers in the Master since 1969... they are still in great shape so can't see getting new ones! :D I can just see you jumping around in the new sneakers... so funny how kids imagine magical powers in new things like that! Do a few leaps and bounces for me.. those days are past - I would just end up landing sprawled face down on the floor.

@LSlycord I saw the FB photo of Syd in the car... poor thing. She looked so tired. Glad you brought her home to recuperate over the weekend. Phooey on that crouchy neighbor about your bird feeder... he should have checked the HOA rules before popping off.

@BrightEyes the pork chop with the yellow squash and the fruit salad sounds yummy. And sounds like you have plenty of reading material for sure. I so hope that you are able to get the photo of your mom holding you as a newborn to brighten up enough to use it in a layout. That causes all of the feelings when you find a photo like that! Countdown is on to the new car! And I 100 percent agree...read the HOA covenants before spouting off. And I need to check out the gallery to see the photo of Bill. I so appreciate Karen Schulz for getting this theme going for the year!

@Cherylndesigns your family is definitely paying the vet's rent this month. LOL

@vickyday hope you had a good time with friends at dinner last night. That sounds like fun! The feeder is about 10 feet from us so I'm going to just patiently wait to see if we can't attract them to this location. We haven't had any birds at the feeder this morning but we did have a beautiful male cardinal who decided to spend his time hopping around the pool. Just beautiful. Wasn't interested in the food...just hopping around the pool deck.

@taxed4ever I had to laugh about DH not thinking that there was any reason to refresh anything! Definitely seeing with a different eye than you! Glad that your SIL enjoyed the hike. It must be fun to have her nearby.

@bcgal00 I'm sitting here patiently waiting for the birds. As patient as I get anyway.

Ok ladies, I'm out of here to start my day. (Syd hasn't come down yet so hoping she is getting some good rest!)

I know, right? Why do our men seem to want real food to eat and clean clothes to wear and a clean house to live in?! I mean, really???!!! ;)
Yes, I would consider it a date night out! Any time I don't have to cook I consider it a date! ;) Plus it gives those stinking, lazy fairies the night off.....however, they USUALLY take the night off, anyway! #devil

I agree with you.....orange and yellow.....NOPE! My problem with buying new shoes is my high arch and wide feet! I need arch support, especially in tennies, and wide across the toes.....no pointed shoes for me!
Glad you had a good day yesterday! You are on a roll! Not many plans for me today. I need to work in my checkbook, but that will probably not happen! We have all of the tax papers we need, but I will probably wait to dig into that next week. So, Mark is in the woods (imagine that!) and I'm here! Chicken is thawing for our supper tonight and hot dogs are for lunch! And I might thrown in a load of laundry here and there!
Have a great day! #kiss3

Ten feet is pretty close, but I would still leave it where it is for now. It may just take them a while to find it since they aren't used to eating there! Since you had a visiting titmouse, the cardinal may just eat from the ground when he realizes it is there. But they do eat from the feeder, too. I need to clean my feeders and fill them again. We've had so much rain lately that I'm sure the seed is no good! No birds have been visiting them of late. It is sunny today but pretty chilly, so I may do that this afternoon when it warms up a bit.
Had a great time with Ilene and her BIL and SIL. They are from WV and very down to earth sweet! Mark really likes talking with William. It is funny.....we were all talking a mile a minute until the food came. Then we hardly said a word because we were all so hungry! It was probably 7 before we got our food! Ilene invited us to go to the house afterwards, but Mark was tired after a long day out in the woods and I know William and Debbie were tired after their travels, so we declined the invite.

Good Morning Ladies,
Had a great dinner out last night with Ilene and her BIL and SIL. Mark and William always talk a mile a minute and if you really knew Mark, that is unusual! He and William like being outside and working with wood so they have that going for them! They can talk shop all they want! ;)

No plans today other than scrapbooking, maybe (but doubtful) working in the checkbook, maybe a load of laundry here and there. Chicken is thawing for our supper.

I've had my coffee and now my belly is growling for food, which is unusual for me! I usually don't want to eat until around 1. Guess I better fix that, however!

Have a great weekend!

Good morning ladies. I've been sitting here quietly, contemplating life and thinking about Bailey, on this anniversary of her passing. I'm not sure how my day will go but I will just do whatever feels right, mostly I'll keep busy, I might be able to scrap a bit. I'll just see how it goes. I'll get the dogs out to the dog park later, Remi will need some exercise and attention after being home all day yesterday while I was out with a new photographer friend. I had fun yesterday, being shown around the little community of Logan Lake (population 2200). It was funny to see the deer hanging out in lots of yards, they are everywhere. I finally saw (off in the distance) the bohemian waxwings. They are beautiful birds. They hang out in that area for a few months and then move on for the rest of the year. I saw another coyote but couldn't stop for photos and got a photo of another bird I've never seen before so need to look up the name.

@faerywings Glad your sofa is finally coming (and your new sneakers). Enjoy!

@LSlycord I bet Syd is glad to be home getting some TLC from mom. Hope she feels better soon. BTW, it took about a week or more for our little birds to start using the feeder. Be patient :)

@BrightEyes Sounds like a busy wkend with photos and organizing in the garage.

@vickyday I'm like you, not much of a breakfast eater but every now and again, I enjoy it.

It's time to get out and feed the birds, get more coffee and get on with my day. HAGD everyone.

Tomorrow is the anniversary of my nephew... he died 2 weeks after my hubby. He was born on my Hubby's birthday so they always shared a special link.

Well, I finally made it in here. I' got up this morning and was in the mood to sort my clothes. I'm getting ready to donate some things and have had a coupple of piles of clothes that were maybe/maybe not? When I got out of bed, I decided today was the day. I'm like that - I'll put things off for the longest time, then boom I just jump in and getter done. I didn't get much done yesterday - just visiting the invalids. LOL Then we went to Nancy's for lunch and I got to spend quality time with Ava and Bailee. We didn't go anywhere today - Adrienne and Roger have a big project they're working on - we have a standing water problem down by the pond and he's got a guy coming to help him figure out how to fix it. Do you girls remember that bad storm we had about a year ago? We got over 8 inches of rain in an hour - It completely reconfigured the pond and it doesn't look anything like it used to. It's kind of a mess down on the road - and every time we have a bad rain, it gets flooded. There are 3 people who live down on that level and one of them can hardly get in and out in her compact car. The 2 houses and the fifth wheel were going to be air bnb's but the people all asked if they could stay permanently. Anyway, we'll probably go somewhere tomorrow.

Chris, @faerywings I'll bet your loveseat has arrived by now and hurrah that Gary's meds were only 8 dollars!!! I'm doing the happy dance for you right now. I know that feeling - after Steph's surgery, we went to pick up some scrips and the nurse told her it would probably be about $200! I told her that I'd get them for her and had my credit card in hand and when we got up there and the tech said "that'll be $3.00 we about fainted.

You asked about Adrienne's cat - he's like a toy cat - he rarely even moves. LOL He's a Rag Doll Cat - they literally just "hang" and do nothing. They hang like a rag doll. He's absolutely gorgeous, though but he wouldn't even chase a critter if it was in the house. LOL What he did was so out of character - it was total instinct - he went a little crazy going after his toes. They've been debating on having him declawed for a long time, but finally did it. He NEVER goes outside - I don't even think he knows there's an outside. He loves to ride in the car though - they carry him to the car and he just lays in somebody's lap. He's not like any cat I've ever been around.

Dexter-web4.jpg

You know what I mean about Bailee being hyper then. That's so funny that you and Gary over-sedated your dog. Ava had to go back and get sedatives for her and she said it still didn't slow her down much. These Labs. LOL

Linda @LSlycord did your neighbor REALLY post about your bird feeder on FB????? What is wrong with people??? Is he a snowbird? They're usually the worst offenders. The neighbors we had, who were snowbirds, were horrible. They didn't even want a dog to walk on their yard. The sweet little elderly lady rang our doorbell one evening and started crying that he yelled at her little dog. Chuck had to hold me back from going over there and screaming at him. He said "now hon, we have to live next to them". Kill joy. But, he made this poor lady cry. Ahhhhhh, Florida life - LOL

Kay @BrightEyes you are the queen of scanning girl!! I'm such a loser - I don't even have a printer - printers hate me - I've had 3 of them and none of them liked me. Roger gave me the last one and it didn't like me. Chuck has a printer if I need one. I have a scanner app on my phone and if I go to anybody's house, I can scan their pictures on my phone.

I'm going to get off of here - it's almost time to change into my night pajamas and get ready to watch TV with Chuck. We're in the final season of Big Sky. I have not much to say, accomplishment wise, about this day. I did get my workout done, so I guess I'll take that.

XOXO

Good morning ladies! After a cold and rainy day yesterday, we have warm weather this morning. It's 60° and heading to 77°. Nothing planned for today. All boxes are done! Now I just need to start the scanning process...but I think that I may need a short break first. LOL Just in case you haven't noticed...we have new emojis!!! Shoutout to our very own Mama O! Sydney is definitely feeling better. I think it was a good idea to have her come home for the weekend. She will be back for Brian's 60th birthday in 2 weeks. Then we probably won't see her for awhile. Her birthday is in the middle of the week on March 1 so I'm sure we will make a trip down to do dinner.

Other than that, I'm still waiting patiently for the birds. And I will let you know when they arrive. Before sunrise, I heard one of them singing like crazy in the preserve but now it is quiet.

@bcgal00 I'm thinking about you this weekend. I hope that the quiet time has been good for your soul and I hope that Jen is hanging in there as well. I so admire how you have handled this year. And yay about buying some time with the PC.

@Cherylndesigns yes the crazy man posted on FB. I was so mad! Seriously, look it up in the covenants. You have a copy. And, if you are worried, tell me so I can tell you what I have already done to try to make this work. That cat is beautiful! Wow!

@BrightEyes I love how you treated those photos. Thanks for posting the hints. I have a lot of photos in really good condition but there are a few that I kept but I really need to strain my eyes to see them. I'm kind of anxious to try to redeem them!

@vickyday sounds like yesterday was a good casual day. I love those kind of days.

I am so excited about the new smilies, Thank you, Vicki!! Personally, I think she was about done with me badgering her about it LOL
The loveseat got here and it looks great! Gary wanted to keep the dogs off of it. Guess how long that lasted?

A. 10 minutes
B. 2 Hour
C. 8 Hours
D. They know to not even look at it, let alone jump on it

Yeah, D is *not* the answer hahahahah!!!! If you guessed 2 hours that would be about right. I think it was less than that but I was out of the house during that time. Two hours was pretty much when Gary admitted they wouldn't stay off it unless we blocked it off completely.
Cait and I were at the FP and we were happy to get some Beyond Burgers and eggs. And a box of Russell Stover Dark Chocolates but I shouldn't eat them. I want to lose 2-3 pounds to get where I was before the holidays but since I have been trying to cut back and do yoga I am only gaining more. pfft

It's a quiet-ish day today, At least ATM. All 4 "kids" are sleeping, they went to an Emo concert last night and got home after 2 am. Caitlyn cracked me up, she was upset that she didn't have any emo clothes, her closet was mostly "business goth." That is the best way to describe it :D

HAGD!!

@BrightEyes Glad that the mountains are getting snow, but not too much by you.
That photo of you and your mom holding you-- what a great find.
No running/jumping for me either!

@vickyday Hope you got all of the laundry done, I did two loads yesterday. Your dinner date sounds like it was a lot of fun

@bcgal00 (((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))) I knew Bailey's anniversary was soon, just not sure of the date. I hope that you, D, and Jen were able to find some comfort with each other yesterday ♥

Hugs to you as well, Kay- what a double whammy with losing Bill and your nephew so close

@Cherylndesigns Hmm, I don't think I have ever experienced that. Ignored something so long and then it has to be done RIGHT NOW! (that was extreme sarcasm, BTW :D )
I hope that they are able to find a solution to the water drainage problems. That is fantastic news that the tenants want to stay, much easier on you all.
hahaha! That was me at the pharmacy too. I think I shouted - wow, I love it!! when she said $8
Dexter (that is his name?) is beautiful. MIL had a ragdoll - Izzy as in Izzy Fuzzy?. He was not the sharpest tool in the shed, not even close, but the sweetest little guy.
I looked for photos of J when we drugged her and I can't find any. :(

Linda- aren't the emojis fun to have back#coffee-2#coffee-3#coffee-4?

Yay for coffee! Enjoy the day with Syd and Shaun

@faerywings LOL at the red ball jets ad! I was the clumsiest, most unathletic child in the world. But I knew that those red ball jets would make a difference. Sadly, :( they did not!

And so glad to hear that our dogs are not the only ones that are running the place!

Morning, gals. Been up for awhile getting the LO with those restored photos uploaded around digi-land. It was well worth all the time I spent working on the photos so I could use them. And, yes.... I have a lot more photos that need to be restored but I will work on them as they are needed for LOs. Want to scan the photos from Mom's 2 album today plus the rest of the loose photos and get them tagged. Then I will take a few days break from scanning. I took a break yesterday afternoon and read... finished 2 books and discovered that I had already read another one of library books. Started reading Book 1 of the "The Dragon Heart Legacy" series by Nora Roberts... and have Book 2 - both from the library. I am on the waiting list for Book 3.

Oh, #cheer1#cheer-3Love the new smilies!!! And speaking of which... I need another #coffee-3

Brrrr.... woke up to 17° this morning... Going to be more like winter temps for this week so will be a good week to stay home. Cleaning up the garage just got put on hold until it is warmer - no point in freezing while doing that.

@faerywings so happy your loveseat was delivered! LOL over how long it was before the dogs were up on it! Hey, great finds at the FP!!! Good luck on losing the 'holiday weight gain'... I need to do the same. Some how those 5 lbs crept back. Hmmm... could be the box of goodies that DD#1 send me had something to do with it. Oh, yes... I remember those red ball sneakers ad. I never had a pair of them but my boy cousins wore them.

@LSlycord Glad you got the boxes sorted... now the scanning begins. Can't wait to see some of your pages.

@Cherylndesigns Sure hope the man will be able to help decide what needs to be done with the pond to lessen the flooding near it. Glad the tenants are wanting to stay. LOL over the 'ragdoll' cat not wanting to do anything. Wow.. such a beauty. Glad you got your clothes sorted out to what to give away. And yes... I have been known to procrastinate about a job then suddenly want it done RIGHT NOW! Take advantage of mood when it hits.

@taxed4ever So glad you and SiL had a good hike. I know you were missing the hikes. Hope the weather holds so you can do more of them. There is nothing wrong with wanting to change out some of the bedroom/bathroom things. More power to you to find what you like. Gary will agree it was worth it .... once he gets used to seeing the new stuff.

@vickyday I saw your LO with the tree your DH felled... fantastic page! That is one BIG TREE! Love the journaling.

Time to get dressed and get started on a few chores. CYL

Good morning ladies. Yesterday was rough and to make the day even worse, I thought the new hard drive failed, it disappeared as I was adding some photos but after checking everything and unplugging everything we discovered the (partitioned) drives and two internal hard drives had been renamed and it was an EHD that was failing or had come loose (although I checked the connections but it is possible). So then I decided to copy everything off of it onto my other smaller drives so I have a copy if this drive is defective. Its been almost 24 hours and I am not quite done yet. I plugged the drives into my laptop and was able to watch tv with D as I copies over 87,000 photos. They are raw files so are large and it takes a long time (obviously LOL).

So I hope to finish up by this afternoon, then we'll take the dogs to the park b/c I ended up not taking them yesterday. Too much going on.

I need to get another coffee and get back to it. HAGD everyone.

@faerywings Hope your sofa came.

HA! My guess was 10 minutes for the dogs staying off of the love seat! Our Asher is pretty good about not getting on my recliner or the couch. He has a special blanket I put in my lap when he is invited. The only time he forgets and gets on the couch is when we have company and they invite him onto their lap! But if he sees us looking at him, he drops his ears because he knows he isn't supposed to be up there, LOL!
You are probably gaining muscle mass back and losing the flab, which is better, LOL!
So, does your Caitlyn dress like the goth lab chick on NCIS who wears her hair in pig tails mostly? I think her name is Abby and her boss calls her Abs, LOL!
