Checking in - I've done nothing but goof off today - the girls and I went out to lunch. We went into town to one of our favorite places - Raffa - It's rice bowl food - you tell them what you want put in your bowl - but I had a cheese quesadilla = they're one of the best in town. They also give you fresh, warm chips and we get guacamole, sour cream and queso dips to go with them. Now I feel like a stuffed pig. Then we stopped at Lowe''s exciting, huh? Then we went to Dollar General on our way home. We "rani in" for a couple of things and came out with two carts full. I found the cutest, softest yoga pants in there for$5! I might go back and get some more now that I know I love these - I have them on right now. In our defense, the others bought huge bags of dog/cat food.
Chris @faerywings nice try keeping the dogs off the new loveseat. Adrienne's new doodle is going to be bigger than Daisy (50 lbs) and Roger won't let her on their furniture. Of course, she gets on mine. LOL She jumps right up my couch every time. Her name is Marley - I don't know if I've talked about her much. They just happened upon a poodle who mated with a Golden Retriever (on FB local) and got her for almost nothing because the people aren't breeders. Honestly, I would have taken one of the pups, but Chuck put his foot down (I could have changed his mind, but it wasn't worth it). Marley is really light colored, but they had one that was apricot colored that I wanted. He said Daisy was enough. LOL Anyhoo - she can get on "Grandma's" furniture.
LOL about your MIL's Rag Doll not being the sharpest tool in the shed. Dexter (yes that's his name) isn't either. Ava calls him a "home decor cat" because he just lays around and does nothing.
I'm glad I'm not the only procrastinator here @faerywings and @BrightEyes and I'm so glad I finally have those days where I feel like getting something done. Now I just have to take them to one of those drop boxes and I'll do that this week. They give them to needy people and I'd rather do that than take them somewhere that they sell them.
Kay @BrightEyes I need to go look in the gallery at all of your pages. I know you've been a busy bee scanning and scrapping. I'm so envious of you for having all of those pictures plus doing something with them. Your kids and grandkids will really appreciate your efforts someday!! You're so good about documenting about you and Bill, too. I'm missing a lot of pictures of Chuck and my early years. I had 2 photo boxes of our trips to Jamaica (we went three times) and of some other trips. I'm SO thankful that our trip to Germany and Austria were taken by me with slide film and I still have all the slides. I've been scanning some of them, but haven't posted too many of them here at the O. I need to start using them again. Yes, everything is still a mess from that horrible storm. Rog will get it figured out - it's just a matter of deciding what to do. He has water engineers coming out so he can do the best thing for the pond, and he wants to try to use it as a water source, anyway. Yes, we're so lucky that the tenants decided to stay! They're all nice people and always get invited to our get-togethers. I think they like our "compound family". One of the guys has started doing some work for Roger, too like keeping part of the property mowed and he knows how to drive the tractor. When Braden goes off to school, we're going to need some extra hands.
Linda @LSlycord hope Syd is feeling better and good luck to her deciding about the internship. Good luck with your crabby neighbor, too. UGH - people. The thing we miss least is the Florida HOA's. We joke about it all the time. I'll yell at Roger and ask him if he got permission from the HOA to do whatever he's doing. He always responds, "We ARE the HOA!" They lived over in the Boca area, and I think I told you that their HOA made them dig all the flowers up (in the front) because they were the wrong color? They were constantly being reported to the HOA for something. Then there were always the "HOA Cops" who just drove around looking for violations. I caught one just starting to a ciolating on a car that was parked in front of our house - they were only going to be there for about 10 minutes and here came the "cop". I ran out and said "Awwwww, c'mon! Are you kidding me???"
Happy the rest of Sunday and tomorrow is Manic Monday.
Oh, @faerywings your comment about it being morning........................or Cheryl's still up.....................didn't go unnoticed. BWAHAHA I sure have a bad rep around here, don't I????? A girl can't get away with anything. #crazy-2#crazy-2
