Forget about Punxsutawney Phil - Tekla declared spring days ago:



She woke up on late night on January 26 - been sleeping since October. Let's just ignore the fact that there's snow outside - it's spring!

Plans for today:
- CT work
- go shopping with my sister
- pottery class tonight

LOL Eva!! That is really cute! Do any other countries celebrate (recognize?) Groundhog Day?
Sure as heck feels like spring here. Really nutty. yesterday when i went out with my mom, I was just wearing a sweater coat. In feb!

Thankfully my mom is finally starting to feel better, no call from the dr re: her chest x-ray and they said no news is good news. We also went through the photos that i had scanned so far, she is loving it- looking at them, remembering her family. It made me miss my grandma. She was one heck of a cool lady.

Its been a pretty quiet week here which is good, but next week is going to be a very busy one. I wish there was some way to spread out the jobs and appt's but *shrugs* heck if I can!

Temptation on Thursday
I want to go shopping- like at a mall. (I know!! How crazy is that!!??) Or maybe a dept store, like Home Goods. Yeah that might be better. I have no money, but I have this urge to pretty up my house.

Its 3:30 in the morning and I am up on couch with the flu ugghhh Came home early from work not feeling well, went to bed at 6pm and had to get up to take something for my horrible headache!! Now wrapped up in a blanket shivering . Think I will crawl back to bed !! No work for me today, but darn I was supposed to get my hair done today :sad: and its hubbys real birthday today (my big groundhog) Oh well can't help it if I'm sick I knew this bug would catch up with sooner or later !! Hope everyone has a good day and that spring comes early to you!!

Morning all - Chris- I want to shop too, but need to get what I have under control. Trudy- feel better. I went to bed with a head ache and woke up with one- but not the flu- I had it many years ago and since then, always get the shot- never want to feel that again. Today, I am going to haul the ladder out and clean my dining room window- never got it done last fall and tired of looking/photographing through the specs!!

Chris, so glad that your mom is feeling better. And I know what you are saying about the weather...isn't it wonderful. (Although they are saying we may get a snowstorm this weekend.)

Laurie, i admire your initiative with the window. i wandered around my house yesterday and got just about ZERO accomplished.

my nose still feels like its broken. going to the DR. for my yearly on Monday, so maybe he can shed some light. it's keeping me awake at night and waking me up at ungodly hours. i'm really tired of getting out of bed at 5:20 a.m. with my nose throbbing!!

i really have to get something done today. i DID make a page already this morning, so that's at least SOMETHING!

Eva, tell me about Tekla? Who is he/she?

Tekla is our turtle princess She's a Russian Tortoise, and she's about 15-20 yo. We got her from a friend of John's for about 7 years ago. The thing is, we had bought another turtle, and when they heard we had one already, they wanted to know if we could take theirs too. So we adopted Tekla Unfortunately, the baby turtle died, and now Tekla is alone.

She's the coolest ever. Really likes to watch TV with us ... I know it's weird, but she's really interested of the TV. I guess the sounds and colors are exciting ... I'm pretty sure she doesn't keep up with who's dating who in 90210

lol it sure has been feeling like spring here with temps in the upper 50's and 60's!!! but now come this weekend they are calling for snow..boooooooo....lol ohh well next week is supposed to be upper 40's so whatever falls will not stay around long!

plans for the day....getting on the wii fit getting in my 45+ mins of exercising done...im trying to work myself up to a full hour yesterday i did 51min!!! wooot! maybe today i can get to that hour we will see!

Good morning ladies!!

Just wanted to write and say HI!! Today I am headed over to my friend Andrea's for lunch. Now that her husband is back from his deployment and we're not watching each other's kids...we don't see each other as much. So, I thought lunch was a good way to fix that. She is actually moving into my neighborhood so both of her girls will go to Addie's school and her younger daughter will probably be in Addie's class. I just can't get over how this digi-community works. I mean...I met this girl here before we moved here and she got me set up with a church, a small group (which I now lead) and she provided me with a friendship when we didn't know more than a couple of people here. Now she goes to a different church and hangs out at different sites but we still hang out. I had no idea this is the type of community I became a part of when I started doing this.


Anyway...little ramble there for you guys. So...Groundhog Day. I can never remember what means spring and what means winter. It has been warming up here...so I'm going to go with spring being just around the corner.


Have you guys seen the new collab? I really like this one. And it is perfect for Ground Hog Day. Spring is just around the corner. It looks like Eva used it in her LO above. Check out HELLO SPRING.


Chris - Guess what I got in the mail yesterday? TICKETS!!! Whoohoo!! I am so excited. It will be awesome. I tried to get Andrea to go but she said her husband wouldn't dig it. Booo.

We've got our annual Superbowl party here Sunday and I need to get on it big time!!! my house is a wreck since Mr Gorgeous is out of town. I tend to just hide in my craft room when he's gone. It's productive in the craft room, but not for the rest of the house!
