The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
:tea: for all of us!
:cosmo: for those who need it too. It is 5:00 somewhere-- and no one says it *has* to be PM!

We all survived the first day at school. By dinner time, it felt like we had been doing this for years. well, I guess we have!!

Not much here today. Off to work at MIL's and looking forward to sleeping past 5am tomorrow!Did you all know it is pitch dark at 5am???

Good luck to anyone who is in Earl's path. Looks like we are going to get skipped by- some rain and wind today and tomorrow. hopefully no one gets it too bad.

Love to you all!

I so enjoyed both cleaning and playing yesterday- several layouts done, but alas have to pay the bills so off to work I go. When I come home I am baking up fresh cheddar biscuits- like cheezits- but better and then then heading to dance for a western theme party - no chaps or boots for me though- red plaid and denim. Perhaps photos tomorrow-

Have wonderful days everyone

Good morning ladies. Glad to hear that you made it through the first day Chris. And Laurie, it sounds like you were quite productive.

I'm looking forward to the last work day of the week. Sydney has a gymnastics class (it's a makeup for Labor Day) and my nephew is playing a home game in football. But the rest of the weekend is slow. So, you'll see me in the O!

Sally...sweetie....I LOVE FRIDAYS SO MUCH BETTER THAN MONDAYS!! HEHE!!

Okay....Yesterday was a BAD BAD day!!! My husband sent me a text message about 10:30 and told me he was quitting his job!! He has said this a bunch in the last three years, but I know he is getting closer to actually doing it. And with the the week he has had this week and last week, I almost expected him to do it. So needless to say I was worried about him, and the situation. He has been with UPS for 35 years now, and he is just tired...physically and mentally from it all...and let's face it, he is no spring chicken...this job is really not for someone his age...but at 53 he is too young to retire...not to mention we can't afford it. I try to tell him to get another job...then it would supplement his retirement...but he says he just doesn't think he can do that. I guess when you have only ever had ONE job your whole life, It would be a little intimidating to think of doing something else at his age. He starts at 7:30 everyday (and hour earlier than most drivers because his route has a lot of EARLY AM packages)...and last week he did not get home until around 8 pm (normally he is home around 6pm) and the same the week until last night, he did not get home until after 9pm. He only got to stop 10 minutes for lunch to get off by then. I felt so bad for him. I know to most it sounds like no big deal...but I really I have watched him work so hard and wear his body down over the years and he is just worn out. His legs hurt all the time, and we won't talk about how many times his back has been thrown out. Anyway....Pray for us answers, because there is definately going to have to be a change. Probably sooner than later.

Sooooo...What plans does everyone have for the LONG weekend??
We don't have any...I am thinking about a cookout on Monday...but I am not sure yet....I think I just want some down time to relax...and Just Mike and I....maybe a TWO person cookout with a cooler full of beer...STEAKS!! YUM!!

Okay...I better run...check a few other threads...and get busy!!!

Personals first

Chris .... yup know all about 5am being dark .... (((hugs))), I despise this time of year .... for this reason. Hope you get some rest and relaxation this weekend!!

Laurie .... would LOVE to see pictures of that for sure!! Have fun!!

:first: Linda ... have fun at the football game .... and enjoy some quiet time this weekend!! :)

Nana Linda .... ::grouphug from all of us to you and Mike ::grouphug Peter doesn't like his job either, mind you it's only been 4 years not a lifetime, but for him it feels like a lifetime, I know all too well about the stress of nasty jobs. I feel for you both. I will definitely  Enjoy a quiet weekend together with the Steaks and Beer!!

Well yesterday, the girls and I managed to get one bedroom cleaned, dressers done, LOL, there are 3 dressers in this particular room, and the closet, including the toy bin!! :dizzy: 3 bags of clothes to be donated, and likely 3 bags of garbage too, clothes that were too stained to give to anyone, and broken toys, and general filth, that the monsters have been putting in their closet for months. I won't even start about the state my house is in right now.:boxing:

Danielle's room still needs the "finishing" touches done, but I will have to leave that until next week, hopefully one day while she is at school ;)

Today is the BIG DAY, BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING :faint:, oh how I dislike shopping, almost as much as I dislike back to school, but it must be done. Please  for me!! LOL!! :)

Weekend plans?? Hmmm, well we were going to have a fire tonight, but I think the Mother nature has different plans, with all the rain, but we will see, if not, then possibly tomorrow or Sunday night. I work tonight at 4 and then again in the morning at 8, but have Sunday and Monday off ;) Possibly one last trip to the beach on Sunday if the weather is decent.

Have a great day :cheer2:

Oh I am late in here again today...slept in just a bit and now have to get ready to go to the Dentist :brushteeth: I am such a baby when it comes to the dentist (sensitive teeth) and my mouth is so sore all day from the cleaning, but otherwise my teeth are in good shape.
Chris...uggg 5am and dark, enjoy your sleep in on the weekend!!

Nana Linda - I am so sorry that things are not going well for your hubby  It is terrible when the job you used to love becomes a hardship and now it seems they want so much more from everyone, with less people to do it all. Perhaps your husband could talk to his boss and suggest a different route, one that is less demanding on him.? I know, men don't like to do that kind of thing, but if his health is at risk than he might have to swallow his pride. Maybe I'm just out to lunch and should mind my own business?? :noidea: I am sure you two will work it out! The steak and beer for two sounds like a great plan to me!!

Laurie - can't wait to see your pics of you in western gear! I was admiring all of your beautiful work yesterday in the gallery...you have been busy!

LindaS - Hope the weather is good for your football game and looking forward to seeing more of your work at the "O"!

Krista - Sounds like you will be busy shopping for school supplies, I don't miss that one little bit.

Heading to the In-Laws for a swim, fire and sister-in-laws 45th birthday on Sunday, should be a good time. Hope everyone has a great weekend! See you around the "O".

LOL Chris -- I wish it was 5pm!!!

Laurie -- Share the recipe, please?? I've always wanted to make cheese biscuits but never get inspired enough... and cheese its are my kyrptonite!

Linda -- Hooray for slow weekends! I'm jealous!

Nana Linda -- I know what you're going through! It's so hard to see my hubby go off to a job he hates :( It's also hard to see him get rejected from everywhere he applies, but that seems to be the norm for everyone now. I'll be praying for you guys!

Krista -- Wooo yay for all the cleaning!!! We need to get all of our wedding gifts in order to make room for our chick brooding box... you've inspired me!

Trudy -- I hope the dentist goes well!! I really need to get myself in for a cleaning...

Today's my hubby's birthday!!! Hooray!!!! He got donuts as a breakfast treat when he got home this morning. I think either tonight or Sunday night we'll make breakfast for dinner, with red velvet pancakes & bacon!

I've been busy working, today I'm going to give to myself to relax and regain my health :( Either I have a cold, or our air quality is so bad that I can't stop coughing or sneezing...

What are red velvet pancakes? They sound delicious!!! Hope it's not really a cold...not a good time of year to be starting colds.

Oh I will take of pic of my food and make a scrap page this weekend with the recipe!

Nana- hugs & prayers- not liking job is how we ended in OH

Here's the recipe for the pancakes I found! It's looking like we're going to have to do it another time, this weekend is getting too busy!

I'm really leaning towards allergy overload -- we've had air quality warnings to not breathe the air because of harmful particles. It's pretty much impossible!

Don't breathe the air? What are supposed to do, hold your breathe? That sucks. You might want to try a humidifier. Not as great as those air purifiers like a heap filter but it would at least put some water in the air and some of the yuck would get pulled down. I have bad allergies so I totally understand how crappy it makes you feel. I hope your hubby has a good birthday weekend.
