GoooOd morning! I hope that everyone is doing G-rrrrr-eat!!! (Say that in Tony the Tiger's voice if you didn't the first time around. It's fun!)

Did you all have a nice day yesterday? I am pretty sure that I did. :thinking2: I know I did a lot of cleaning, first at my friend's house and then a little more here. I shouldn't have too much else to do before the family descends upon us on Sunday. A quick mop/vacuum/wipe down the main bathroom, aka Gary's bathroom, should be all I'll have to do. I finally have Caitlyn's final menu request for her birthday so I will run to the supermarket this morning to get the rest of the ingredients for that.

Once I get back home, I need to start collecting the morning glory seeds for next year. Tidy the patio area-- if the weather is decent, I know Gary would love to have the family have drinks outside on Sunday.
And yay! I have access to the Weis Drive again. Here I was, getting all paranoid that they changed their minds about me having it. Meanwhile, it was just that they updated the password/door codes since it had been years since the last time they did it.
:rotfl:

I can't believe that the conference is next week. I'm excited and terrified at the same time. Hehe. *puts "moss research" on my to-do list for today.
I also can't believe that my mom and I are going down the shore in 10 days. I need to start thinking about that too!

Hope that all of you have a delightful day today!

@BoatLady Oops, I shouldn't have shared the snakeskin story, I think I freaked you and Tracy-- definitely Tracy :p -- out by it.
I am so dang obsessed with my 'pillar friends. At this point, even more than the hummingbirds, because I can actually get up close and watch them. I spent more time than I care to admit watching one of them move its cute little feet as it stretched from one leaf to another.
LOL-ing at the grey vs dyed hair. I am still too vain to let it go grey. I'm also at the word stage where it is grey in patches. My natural hair is mousy brown and the grey/brown is just drab.
Today I have a long list of things I want to do before I leave so I better get too it.
How did you do, get everything accomplished that you needed to?

I love that the caterpillars are the same colors as the butterflies! Beautiful! Love the way they are striped!
Same!! Love the stripes, the feet, the wiggly antennae. So cute!
I do have more of the gut tincture. I just have to remember to take it faithfully! I guess I really need to just take it all of the time instead of stopping it when I'm feeling better!
I get that, it's human nature. I hope that it works quickly for you!
Looking forward to seeing your week 4 AJ page. I finished my LO and Weeks 1-4 yesterday too.

Everyone is talking about cleaning kitchen cabinets and I am looking at a whole new kitchen.
I AM SO JEALOUS!!
()ut happy for you at the same time. For real.
My kitchen is 30+ years old and it's awful. It is small and has very little counter/cabinet space. I have to crawl inside one cabinet to get things out of the back. The other day. I need Gary's help to unhook my ponytail from the drawer's track. :giggle4: The worst is the floor, it's old 12x12 vinyl tiles and they are ripped and scuffed, and discolored. The subfloor is warped, so we can't put real tile on it. Even if we had money to redo them

Anyway, I'm sorry for making that all about me. I am excited to see and hear all about your reno! It sounds like the plans you have so far are gorgeous! What colors are you considering?

Oh man, what a story. But...... why would your mom be surprised SIL told hubs what was said? Couples talk. I know what I say to my daughter will go to SIL too. And vice versa. I know couples talk so why wouldn't your brother know? Hope it doesn't cause too much trouble.
Right? Crazy story!
It wasn't so much that my mom was upset that she told my brother about it. Sis-IL seems to think that my parents both have early dementia. My mom rambles when she talks and they both forget things. However, when you talk to them one-on-one and not pressuring them to "get to it" - they are 100% on point. My mom has concerns that SIL is -- not sure how to put it-- not really swaying my brother's opinions or necessarily taking over... kind of more like my mom is still very independent and doesn't want her taking any of that away by influencing what my brother thinks.
Does that make sense?
Our fall is WARM this year. We hit 60° today which is way warm. Normal would be closer to low 50's. Our leaves are turning yellow and some are falling off. Its beautiful but warmer than normal.
We were in the upper 60s on Wednesday. Bonkers that our temps were so close to yours.

Eek, I am super late this morning....
HAGD!

I was working at the library yesterday & an entire American family came in (Father, mother, 2 grown-up children and a grandma). They were in Mora because the father of the family had roots there. They wanted some help with genealogy, and while we were waiting for the right person to get back from lunch, I was talking a bit to them. And boy do I need more practice TALKING English!!! I mean, I read, I write and I listen to English each and every day ... but talking!!! I sounded like an idiot. But they were so polite, and didn't say anything. I guess, they understood what I was saying, even though I sounded like the Swedish chef in the Muppets. :giggle4:

Kudos to you for reading, writing , listening and speaking another language...I only speak English --US English not the Queen's English. I am sure they appreciated your Muppet conversation.

You are one busy chicka! And, yes! Tony the Tiger's voice immediately came to mind! ;)

Good Morning,
Mark is planning to work a half day today so he can work on adding a deck to the cabin. He would like to have it mostly finished by next weekend when we have the church fellowship. I told him I could help with the hammering, etc! We shall see if he lets me! ;)
I've been working on my devotion for the widows since 6 this morning. Couldn't go back to sleep after Mark kissed me goodbye.
Other than that, nothing going on here today. I took a look at some of the other challenges and just couldn't get motivated to work on anything. Maybe when the new CP pre-releases start showing up I will be motivated!
Have a great day!

@faerywings as we age our overloaded brains ( from so much that we have to remember ) mix things up and forget for a second. That is what I say when I struggle to remember things...I have 72 years worth of memories in there!! I wish I could sort and delete some so I have more storage space!!!
:confused::crazy::confused:

Yay!!! I thought that you were one of the few who hadn't had it yet. So sorry that you got hit hard. Please don't overdo it... The cleaning can wait.
I was being good, Chris... but I did have to wipe down/clean surfaces that Covid might have been left on. Did one area then rested before doing another one. Still get too tired if I do much. Made it to the store for a few things on Wednesday and was wiped out when I got home. So taking it easy for the next several days.

Extended my MIA until the 26th. DD#1 is flying in on Sunday and staying until Tues or Wed. And DSon#2 is flying in on Tuesday and staying until Saturday. He had made the trip plans before I got Covid and now that I am negative for it... is coming as planned.

Not sure I am up to doing any scrapping - will wait and see how I do by the end of next week.

Good Morning!

Oops, I shouldn't have shared the snakeskin story, I think I freaked you and Tracy-- definitely Tracy :p
Yep, sure did!! :giggle4: Snakes are icky. So thankful they dont live here.
I am still too vain to let it go grey.
I totally get this and its not vain. I am thankful mine are coming in even and white. Grey is dull and I would cover it too. If it was patchy I might cover it too. I am lucky as its evenly spread and pure white so far. I do highlight/lowlight about every 18 months to 5 years or so just for fun. Its almost time to do it again. I see hair as something to play with and change it all the time. Its a good 4" shorter than the avitar I have now.

Yes, that makes sense. Dont want people to take away your independence just because you stumbled over a sentence or thought. I agree with Debby, @BoatLady so much in our memories to sort through that it can take a moment to find what you wanted to say.
even though I sounded like the Swedish chef in the Muppets. :giggle4:
:floorlaugh: This cracked me up. But youre awesome that you have more than one language. And I would love to talk muppet with you anytime!

Ooooohhhhhh, you can let all annoyances out by hitting nails!!! Even more fun is the nail gun.

Not much happening here.... oh wait, that's right. We get the grands for a sleepover. Its gonna be a crazy 24 hours. But so fun and I'm thankful we get to have them. Wont be on much until maybe Sunday afternoon. Better go enjoy my quiet time before its gone. Have a wonderful weekend.

I remember the fun times we had with the grands...before they got too old to hang out with us! Such is life. Enjoy your time with them!

HELP HELP HELP This will be my 3rd kitchen redo and my last!!!! I am struggling with cabinet colors so I'm asking for opinions.
We had oak up North but I know I do not want that. What is in our kitchen now is wood but not sure what kind. I want grey I really wanted driftwood but am struggling to find some that looks like I want my other choice is dark grey. With that cabinet from Germany in Burl walnut I think dark gray will be very dramatic. I have a small kitchen but I want to go with bold and dramatic.
The trend now it to upper cabinets different from lowers so help my friends...what do you think??

My personal opinion, I hate the two tone kitchen with two colored cabinets. I think its a fad that will end quickly cause it looks terrible. Like the remodel didn't get finished. I do love the look of a mid-grey and sage trim. I think a light grey with the right countertop, trim might give you that beach driftwood vibe. We watch "beachfront bargain hunt renovations" on Discovery+. That would be fun to watch and see some of the kitchens they re-do. Some are super fun and have the tones youre talking about.

Two tone like you has been on my mind but too trendy..thanks for your vote.
