My oh my. I was so exhausted yesterday that I went to bed at 8pm..... You'd think i'd be wide awake and refreshed this morning, but no....

Thank you all so very much for reading over my rants and having such thoughtful suggestions. I spoke to my brother yesterday and I feel a lot better about things. I am still a bit aggravated about how it was handled by "the other side" but I guess that is all part of in-laws.

Dawn was right, my SIL wants a traditional shower and my brother is fine with that since that is what his "bug" wants :D He does not want it in December. hat he is going to suggest is an immediate family only deal in December and a regular baby shower in January. That way everyone gets a bit of what they want. (I still think that they are crazy to want 20+ people over soon after they get home, but hey, what do I know? LOL Nah- its all good..... My feelings are based on my experience. i had everyone and their brother at the hospital and after I was home when Scott was born. It was too much, and he and I paid for it with lots of crazy schedules. When I was pg with Cait, I told everyone that no one was coming to the hospital, that they could come afterward for one hour and that I needed the first week home just with my family. But not everyone might feel that way... or they heave to learn it on their own.

As of now, I have the Dec date on my calendar and my fingers are crossed that everything goes smoothly and that in 6 weeks or so, i can hold my new niece!!

Nana Linda- you deserve that pedicure!! Go for it! (Your adopted G-DD said so :) )
tee hee! Wouldn't the world be a better place if everyone thought sensibly like us?

ME- Congrats on the girl!! I saw on FB- you must be so excited! Do you have names picked out yet?

Trudy- hope that you had a great day- thanks for understanding my frustration w/ the baby stuff.

Meg- (((hugs)))) I wonder is Bass pro is online at all.... I am going to have to have to see.
Hope that your FIL gets good news on work.
Good luck with your shop too!! yay!!!

Dawn- yup- you were right. I tend to be very protective of family, and I want my brother to be part of this. But he wants his wife to be happy and get what she wants too. Guess I am not so generous! hahah!!!!
Thank you for the update, I know how much you loved Davy and how lost you must have felt w/o her. Frisky sounds like quite the character. I am looking forward to lots of Frisky-Stories!!!!
The job sounds like a great fit for you- congrats!
I see that your tagline says O is my Home, do you still want it changed? I don't know how but I can find out...

Meg- that was the way I was with one of ours cats. my baby, PJ died very suddenly (heart attack, crazy!) and DH had to get a cat the next day. I hated him (the cat) even though I knew I'd love him eventually.

Dawn- yes, come join us in the exercise thread!

Laurie- happy traveling!!!

Clara- you have to let your body cycle readjust- or maybe your were just sensing my crankiness :D

Hope today is a great day for everyone.
I am late .... so :bolt:

Morning all - I sit here trying to decide what to do- I think my body is going to have to adjust to the humidity- arghh, but i will love the sun and yes I bought sun screen. I found out last night that my aunt who was battling brain cancer passed away. I am sad that I will miss her funeral- really- she was such a gentle soul, and she is gone, the last in my fathers family- my sister said- we are the old generation now- ouch!

Hi Ladies,

Happy Friday! Today is a short work day for me as I am going to Christian's school to volunteer at his Halloween party and parade. LOL. It will be so cute, and he is beyond excited. He is going to be Lightning McQueen although he tells me for trick or treating he is going to be a superhero. I got cookies and decorating supplies for one of their party activities. Can't wait to see all the little preschoolers dressed up.

Well, we had our big ultrasound yesterday, and yes, Chris, it sure is a GIRL. I seriously almost fell off the examination table when the sonographer told us because I really was sure it was a boy. The technology was great - they had a wide screen tv, and we got to see so much, much more than I remember seeing with Christian. Everything looks great. So now, I am thinking pink and getting a nursery set up. :)

Chris - glad to hear that you got to talk with your bro and you are feeling a bit better about it.

Laurie - so sorry to hear about your aunt passing away. I hope you are able to relax some on your trip.

Dawn - I didn't realize Davy had passed away, but I am sure glad you have Frisky to keep you company. Congrats too on the job!

Clara - have you recovered from your jet lag? I always have found traveling to and from the West Coast so so hard with the time changes.

Meg - good luck with your store launch!

Hi Trudy and Linda, and anyone else I've missed.

Hope you all have a fabulous Halloween weekend, filled with more treats than tricks. Ha!

Laurie....I am so sorry about your Aunt sweetie....Oh and bite your tongue!!! YOU ARE NOT THE OLD GENERATION!!!!

Chris....I was the same as you about the babies....with Sharon....all of my ex-husbands family swarmed me and her....when I came home from the hospital, they were all there in our tiny apt....stayed for HOURS...I about died!!!! and the ex had a 10 yo brother at the time, and his Mom told him he could spend the night!!!! I CRIED!!!!! The ex told him he had to go!!!! So after Traci was born...we went straight to my MOM's ..and I told my ex MIL she could come, but no one else....His family was obsessive over babies.....they tried to tell me they were coming to get her to keep her for a few days.....I FREAKED!!!! I would hide me and the baby for days!!! They finally got the message when Sharon was about 3 or 4 months old and left us alone. I was not letting that happen!!!!! I think they though since they gave me a giant baby shower, that entitled them to the BABY!! AAACCKKKKKK!!!! People can be NUTS!!!!! :eek2:

Ooooooooooooh I am watching Savannah....she doesn't crawl anywhere anymore, as of yesterday.....

Trudy....I hope you had a good day at work...and I am going to load your pages up with love this weekend!!! Cause your pages always ROCK sweetie!!!

Dawn.....Congrats on the new job...it sounds like a great fit for you....and GOOD FOR YOU AND AMANDA going to the GYM....I wish I could get motivated!! I really don't know what it will take to motivate me at this point....you would think that the MIRROR would do the trick...:boom:

I am sorry about Davy...I know you loved her!!! but yay for Frisky...how sweet for that little boy to think of you when he saw how distraught you were!!!! WOW...a big change for Johnie...across country!!! Good Luck to him!!! and WELCOME BACK AGAIN SWEETIE

Clara...you know what...you have done an amazing job this month...I know my pages have seen LOADS of love from you!!!!! So you have nothing to worry over there!!!! Thank you for all that love!!! Hope you are done being mad at the DH....think back to why you fell in love

Morning everyone!!!! Off to work again this morning, but home for the afternoon yay!! Have been working on some calendars for my niece and brother and SIL to send to Australia for Christmas. My brother and SIL are spending the winter there with their kids ( I am so jealous!!) Anyway would like to get them done this weekend, so I better get my butt in gear LOL.

Chris - So glad that things will work out for your brother, so nice that he just wants to make his wife happy, its hard to try to please everyone, but I am sure that these new plans will work out just fine!

Laurie - you are so not the "OLD GENERATION", because that would make me part of that generation too :scared: Hope that you are going to enjoy the sunshine and the warmth! If you go to Disneyworld say Hi to Mickey for me LOL

Mei - Congrats on your little girl!!!! You will have so much fun picking out pink stuff now, how wonderful for you and your family!!

Nana Linda - Hope your day is great!! Thanks in advance for the love!! You are the best!!

Meg, Clara, Dawn, Kirista and anyone else I missed hope your Friday is Fabulous! and perhaps I will see you in here later today

Chris -- I'm glad the shower stuff was resolved!!!!! Phew, now you can get onto the fun planning!!!!
Bass Pro is online & catalog :) We just love going to the stores because each one is unique and modeled after the location. For example, the one in Manteca is Yosemite themed. It was supposed to be here, but our city council is stupid, so it ended up going to the little po-dunk-cow-town. Our favorite part is the fish tanks -- they have massive "pond" displays with all the local fish. HUGE fish.

Laurie -- I hope you're able to adjust and be able to have a nice vacation! I'm sorry about the loss of your aunt :(

Whooo ME!!!!! Congrats on the girl :) Have fun getting the nursery set up!!!!

Oh my goodness Nana Linda -- I would of gone all crazy mama bear if that had happened to me!!!I could see my high school boyfriend's family doing that... or even my mom & her family... thank goodness I have no communication with them! I need my nice and quite time after bringing a new addition into our family!

Thanks everyone for the well-wishes on my grand opening! I'm honestly not expecting much sales, if any -- when I was finalizing everything last night, I really hate those kits I did early on. Just in the last few weeks I've developed my style more and blarghhh I'm being critical of myself. I just need to keep myself from checking stats & stuff.... just schedule my promotional tweets and lock myself up somewhere.
My FIL still hasn't had many leads -- the best one would of been Fresh & Easy, but their newest store hired their last person a week before he was fired! Gahh. They guaranty their workers at least 24 hours a week and $10/hour pay, plus any can buy into the benefits. I got pissed off at my DH yesterday because he had PROMISED to work on listing the cameras the day before yesterday... then yesterday... and didn't. Now he's saying this weekend. Well, I'm going to hold him to it!! They need the $$$

OK -- well time to lock myself up somewhere and work on the DH's stuff... or get more sleep...

dude, i don't show up for a couple of days and they let the riff raff in!!! LOL!!!!

Just kidding!!! Dawn and Mary Ellen!!! I'm soooo glad to see you girlies here again!!

My life has been consumed lately by scheduling, quilting, and craft shows!! :) But my kids are doing great, I actually sent a newsletter AND put my Custom Advent calendars up in my Etsy shop!! (grab one now with free shipping! just had to shamelessly pimp again...you know me!! :) )

So this afternoon I'm off to Quilt Market, which i'm totally stoked about. Then next week it's Quilt festival. Market is where they only let the businesses in to see the fabrics and new designs. Mainly for quilt shops to restock for the spring. But I'm hoping to scam some stuff and create more relationships to pimp new designers with my creations. It's super overwhelming and fun at the same time. Luckily one of my BFFs (the one that got me into quilting) is going with me, and she is very savy about stuff like this. *sigh*

AND tomorrow is my second craft show, so please pray I make enough money to pay for all of my quilt festival indiscretions next week!! LOL!!! And then next week? It's all about advent calendars, aprons, and flannel blankets for my darlings, krista, clara and whoever orders soon!! :)

Okay...I have to create some pricing tags...LOVE YOU ALL DEARLY!! Hope to be on late tonight to take care of my daily scrapping fix. Check me on yahoo if you wanna scrap with me!! :)

HellooooOOO O-fam!
Just a shortie from me for now, DH is on his way home from work early and I'm gonna make him take me to lunch LOL.

I am soooo happy to be back in the dailies, I knew I missed it but man, I really really missed it :).
((((hugs to all)))) DH is home :)

Happy mid day- had to come in from sunning - don't want to get burned to a crisp on the first day! DH is in a recover from driving mode, so that is good. We plan to hit the exercise room and hang by the pool today!

Meg- I have to check out your shop
ME- have fun at the school festivities- I remember them as so much fun
Sally- loved your newsletter
Nana- have a great day
Trudy-We may do mickey-have tickets, but not sure we will use them

Clara- hope today is more of a routine day for you.

for all I missed- have a great day!!

Hey ladies. I am home from our field trip today to the Pow Wow. It was very cool and me, Derek and Addie are going back tonight. Ethan has a sleep over so he won't be coming. I have to write my novel quickly because we have some errands to run but I think I can handle it. So the Pow Wow was cool and I am now revved up to get moving on learning about my heritage. My family is all sorts of Native American and we have all sorts of sorted past because of it and I want to know more of my culture and want my kids to know about it so I need to focus on that so I think we are going to work on that. Eeeeeek...I didn't realize how late it is so, novel must wait. I did end up sleeping later than I wanted to today though. I didn't like that at all. Addie stayed up until 2AM last night. Having trouble adjusting to the time change. I was ready for bed and had the computer off by midnight and everything. grrrrr.

Okay, personals...

Chris - So glad that you worked out the baby shower concerns with your brother. I'm glad that you and your brother are close enough to be able to talk about these things and not bottle it up. I do understand her desire to want to have a regular baby shower. that is a rite of passage as a mama that adoptive parents kind of miss out on sometimes. Adoption is such a touchy situation. Things are the same and different and special and missed. I just hope everything goes perfectly and that everything goes just right for them. My aunt adopted a baby awhile ago and things were a lot different than they ar for your brother. It was essentially a yuppy adoption and just a lot different and there were a lot of hurt feelings and I don't know...there is a lot of hostility towards them and their adoption rather than the happiness that should be felt towards them. Just a different situation. There are so many different family situations it is amazing. I will pray for nothing but love and happiness for your brother, SIL and your growing family.

Laurie - I hope you get adjusted quickly to the humidity. It definitely takes awhile and you are so lucky it is October/November humidity and not August humidity. Hugs and Prayers for you during your time of grief over the loss of your aunt. I'm sorry you can't be there for her funeral. That is always hard.

ME - Yay for a girl!!! I thought the same thing. I was so sure I was having a boy when I was having Addie but a girl she was and then everything started coming in pink. I loved it. Purple is fun too. Enjoy every minute of it. I was amazed at how much Ethan loved being a big brother. I hope C loves it as much as E does. I'll bet C is a great LM and will make a great super hero. I still have to get the kids costumes together. Eeeek!! Haven't even started. At least neither of them wants to be a regular costume and their costumes will be pretty easy to put together.

Linda - did you get the pedi?? Get your butt out there and get it asap!! Do I need to come up there and take you out for one or what? I have DMB the weekend before T-Day. maybe I'll just have to plan on coming that weekend with the fam and we'll do it then. We'll have to chat. I'm working on Elisa to come up for it too.

Trudy - Hope work went well. So, I totally cheat for calendars. I use pages I made through out the year and reformat them to fit onto pages that work for the calendar. Is that bad? Heehee!! Good luck with your project.

Meg - I just checked out your store and it looks AWESOME!!! Congrats. I love it. I would be bummed about BPS not opening up near you too. Cabela's opened 2 miles from my house but almost opened about 10 miles from us in a podunk town and didn't because the city council didn't approve the stuff. Opposite issues of you. I was so thankful. I loved it being so close. We went there all the time. Not for shopping but because the kids loved to hang out there. They had the salmon.trout pond and stuff and the mountain in the middle and all that. Plus the kids would play in the tents and shoot in the air gun area. It was free fun any time we wanted. I loved it. Of course I hated the "Hey honey! Guess what I found in the bargain cave?" crap. That didn't fly well. But that stopped eventually.

Sally - Off to drool at your Etsy shop as usual. Oh, I want my camera strap so can I pay for that and get it soon instead of waiting for the rest of everything? :D That would be the coolest. I was thinking about that today. Good luck at the show. I hope you fund a giant quilting addiction.

Dawn - hope you had yummiest lunch!! hugs girly!!

Okay, off to buy a bday present for the neighbor.

On our way back to the room from afternoon sunning, I thought about jumping under the water at the kids park, looked more closely and discovered someone enjoying the water and sun that I did not want to be anywhere near- a snake- ewww a snake in the water- my worst fears- so now I do not want to move to florida, and will just enjoy my time here, but check the water before I go in! I have a picture and when mr gorgeous golfs on monday, I will be scrapping!

Evening. had a wonderful lady come look at my horse today to hopefully take home with her soon. I'm sad to have to let him go, but I'm super excited for her to take him. He's a saddlebred. He can't carry me anymore cause he had a disease that made him lose too much muscle. He can ride the kids around though. But I'm paying too much to have a horse that my kids will ride once every 2 months and that I can't ride. SO this lady has a saddlebred farm and is looking to sell or rehome 2 of her ridable SB's. Hmm...trade? She has invited me to come ride at her farm any time for free! That's so great. She has a daughter my youngest's age. Really I need to stay horse free for a while to pay some of these bills off so I don't feel so poor 2 minutes after we get payed! Then I can do whatever with my new horse and have more money to spend on a better horse as well.

Clara: That is too funny about the coffee shack. I thought about doing the same thing here. There is no such thing up here. No one's heard of them!! I bet I could make a ton of money opening one. But how do you run a business like that without schooling? That would mean I'd have to change my major and also find capital somewhere. Plus with Mcdonalds selling flavored coffee now, it would be hard to compete with. But I tell ya I know some of the best coffee in the world and would sell it. No one else sells it in the US that I know of. It's from the Dominican.

Well I am off to play with the kiddos. We have a 4 day weekend! It is very busy already. I want to just say no more planning allowed on weekends. They are reserved for family and hiking only. Hah! I can dream
