Daily Ooo's: Friday, November 13

It is Friday, the 13th. Again? Why does it feel like we just had one recently? :noidea: Time is a bllllllllllllllllllllluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Ya feel me on that?

:yawn: Three days of dreary drizzle is making my brain a bit numb. I also didn't sleep so good last night, anxiety got me again. I am going to put my therapy lamp on in a few. Scratch that, I put it on right now, why wait?
I didn't do too much of anything yesterday, what else is new. hah. I did get to spend a bunch of time with the rats, the big girls had finished their abx and were back in the big cage with the little ones. I gave them some chunks of butternut squash and they love that. So cute how they hold the pieces and nibble all around.
Can I ask for good thoughts for Ravyn too? I think she is still losing weight, she looks like her muscle is melting off of her. At one point yesterday she looked like she was barely breathing and I about flipped out. She was ok and when I took her outside, she came trotting back to the door for her cookie. I will know more on Wed.

Caitlyn is still getting so many compliments from her internship supervisors. She is working so darn hard. She had been frustrated all day though so it came at a good time. Our internet has been cutting in out for a week now and it makes it really difficult to do meetings and classes online. She was able to set her cell phone as a wifi hotspot and connect that way. Thank goodness we have an unlimited data plan.

I have no idea what I am doing today either. Drink coffee and pet dogs? Why not?

Kay- I hope that your stomach is feeling better today. Gentle hugs coming your way. Congrats to DD#2! Hope that they are all settled in soon.

Trudy- that is such a thoughtful way to honor vets on your hike. Your group must be full of good people. How are your ILs doing? Bet it was nice to have a visit from their DS.
That is awesome to get new carpets!!! :whoo: I would love that- 16 years of cats and dogs and kids- ours are pretty much trashed. What kind/color are you thinking about?

Cheryl- I was talking to my mom yesterday and she keeps talking about Christmas (*the* holiday in my family) as if it is going to happen. When I told her that no one was coming for Christmas Eve- the first time in my entire life, she said that she knows but her brain isn't able to 100% accept it yet. She said it is too depressing to think this far ahead that this year will be different. It hurts all of us in so many ways and yes, it is challenging to not be angry/anxious/depressed. I hope that you and Daisy get out for a nice walk today.

Gary's Lyme has him permanently disabled. When he had his court hearing in 2009, the Judge actually told him that he felt bad for him and that wished he would someday feel better. Gary's disability lawyer was shocked, said in all of his years on the job that he had only heard that a handful of times.
Oh, and the PTSD is for me and the kids. They were in elementary school when things were really bad and they knew that if I told them to go across the street, they were to go to my neighbor's house and they stayed there until they could come back safely. It was bad. At one point I had to have him committed. It still breaks my heart but we made it through. It is also one of the reasons my family is *tight*- because we made it through. But imagine that going on, and then me and both of them all being diagnosed with the same diseases as him. Everyone has scars, physical (both kids became cutters) and emotional. But we are tough

Happy Friday everyone... yes another Friday the 13th and I agree with Chris! Did we not just have a Friday the 13th??

Looks like the last one was in March. Today is my swimming day and before I head out to the pool I need to run to the craft store to pick up a stamp that I ordered over 2 months ago. Sheesh, its a good thing it wasn't anything really important :mmph: I also have to go the Post Office and mail a parcel to Isaac and Sadie. Then after swimming I pick up my grocery order. I will be ready to get back home and just stay here for the rest of the day!! Our numbers are climbing rapidly and we now set a record high in Covid Cases in B.C. We will be heading into another lock down soon I bet. When will people learn to follow the rules?? It is going to be a long winter!! :sad:

Chris - The weather has been dreary here also. I am sorry that it has such a bad affect on you! I hope that your therapy lamp helps you out! How cute to watch the rats with the Butternut Squash, they are really cute when they eat!! I always loved to watch the Otters when they eat as they lie on their backs and nibble away. Poor Rayvn, it must have gave you a fright when you thought that she wasn't breathing :fear: Yes new carpet will be nice, we have burbur carpet right now and the stairs and den are different colour so it will be nice to have the same carpeting on both. We went for a mix of grey and browns and off white specks in the carpet, hard to describe LOL. It is not a burbur and not a shag, just sort of in between if that makes any sense at all. Yes the hiking group are a great bunch and we are very chatty, so we make too much noise for us to ever worry about bears or any other kind of wildlife LOL. The In-Laws are doing well and pretty much keeping to themselves, except for the odd trip to the dr. or for groceries they don't really leave the property. They were very happy to have the visit from their son!! Still not sure what will be happening for Christmas, they don't want everyone there and they will not go to SIL Sharon's because her son and girlfriend are out partying all the time and they live with her. :mmph: If things continue to get worse here in B.C. we might not be able to have anyone come to the house. It might be a Zoom Christmas!

Good afternoon, ladies. It's a busy work day for me, my back is really bugging me today and I had some CT stuff to do. The day is flying by. Looking forward to lying on my matt tonight with the heating pad and watching some shows.

Chris - your family has endured so much yet you all have come out the other end and your family is so strong and loving.

Trudy - we've been talking about Xmas too, wondering what will be happening. We don't know if the restrictions will lift again and we can see B. Thank goodness for facetime but hopefully that isn't how we have to spend Xmas. Fingers crossed.

I'm getting back to work. Just wanted to say hi.

Hello all! Omg - it IS Friday The 13th!! That totally went right over my head. SO many things go over my head these days, though. LOL

Chris, I hear what you're saying about your mom. This is all so terribly sad! I just saw that some governors are calling for "Zoom Thanksgivings". So, why NOT a zoom cocktail party???:cosmo:rockon: Anyhoo - I guess we're having Thanksgiving dinner here - but we're still within the "government mandates" (UGH) - there will only be 8 of us here. I think the "limit" is 10. I'm not expecting the "Thanksgiving Police" to find us way out here in the woods, but who knows???? Besides, we live on Cherokee Land and I don't think the federal cops have any say so here.

Now, you're all going to want to know why I just said that (like CherylndesignsNY LOL) - my SIL is Cherokee, so we can legally live on Cherokee Land. We really do live on Cherokee Nation Land. How cool is that? Aren't I just a bundle of "strange things" and "things that entertain others"???

We went up to the house this evening. It's coming along - I think you're all up-to-date, but we just like to go look. All of the lights are in and they all work. Haha Last time, the breakers were goofed up, so some of them didn't. The lights I got for my scraproom are SO cool - there are 2 of them - they are ceiling flush mount and they're "daylight lights". I'm in Heaven - it's a lot of light!
