TGIF! TGIF!

wow oh wow am I beat!!! I have been so busy, work, Gary's b-day, Mother's day, regular life. I need a day to rest!
it is not going to happen today, that is for sure. :(

I am cleaning this morning, then I have to finish up the rest of the stuff I need to do for the b-day/Mother's day party tomorrow. Sunday is Mother's Day and I am demanding a day for just me! LOL

(yeah-- I know, its not going to happen. I'll end up getting involved in something and there the day will go...)

I have super-bad with personals the last few days again. Hope all of you have been doing great!

Laurie- all ready for your vaca??? I hope that you have a wonderful and romantic time. You deserve every minute!

I started out with the ice in the coffee cans, but then I needed to switch to the power drill, so I used gary's work-horse (is that the word???) and a 2x4. I painted them yesterday with a dark metallic blue, today I am adding the clear coat and handles. I will take pics!

Nana- What a difference a little bit of sun and warm air makes!! The last couple of days were freezing cold here too- but its going to be back up into the 60's today- still very cold for this time of year but better than 48* that it was on Wed.

Ticks do live year round, they are just more active in the spring and summer. I recently read that they have a 2 year life span as well.

So, Sally, do you think if you took me to a Texas Exhibit, they would let me in??

In my mind, I tell myself that most texans are not like what I read about in the news, same as most NJ-ans are not like jersey Shore. How weird it is they that we can stereotype so broadly within our own country? *muses*

Anyway...

Dumpty! So good to see ya!!!

Clara- I will look for the link for the lanterns. i don't think that mine came out as nice as the blog ones, but ...whatever.... :D
I will come and garden for you and you can chat with me-- its a deal!

Nana- sounds like a very nice day. And cruises... so jealous! I wanted to talk my fam into trying a Disney Cruise, now that they are sailing out of NYC, it was 3 against 1, no one wanted it but me.

Trudy- i was just saying the same thing- how sad it is that working 3 days in one week can wipe me out both physically and mentally. My llmd prescribes provigil for me- its a slow release "speed" for lack of a better word and it keeps me going when I am ready to fall on my face. I don't take them often, but I am thinking it is a provigil day today!

Hope that you get get your PT shifts back so, I know your gardens are calling you too

Sorry for th quick post, Kooky Kat walked right across my tablet again and as soon as I posted she screwed up my pages. Bah!

Where was I??

Kristy-- that does sound like great potential scrap page!
Oh your fur-baby is a beauty. Hugs to you on this sad day

Bette rget going- its going to be a loooooooooong day!!

xoxoxo!

morning - what got done, got done and now let the good times roll- well after I pot some plants and pack the car- 3 hours and we are off to dance lessons!

T.G.I.F Everyone!!!! So glad that it is Friday and that this work week is over!! Tonight I don't have to make supper horray!! We are off to a fund raising dinner for a R.C.M.P. member who has been stricken with Cancer and now only has a few more months left to live. We are raising some money to send him and his family to Disneyland and to help out the kids after he is gone. So sad!! There will be silent auctions and door prizes and everyone pays $5.00 for a hamburger, all proceeds to go to the trip and whatever. I think that they have already raised enough money for the trip, so everything else will be gravy!!

Chris - Hope that you get to have the day to yourself on Mother's Day, but like you said, you will probably get involved with something and there goes your day!! Gentle  to you and hope you have more energy soon! Take care of you!!

Laurie - Lucky you!! I hope that you have a wonderful time on your vacation!!

I head out to visit my kids and grandkids at the end of the month and I am so looking forward to it!! Hope the weather cooperates for my trip and I can get outside with my babies!! Have a great friday everyone, I gotta get ready for work.

Morning ladies (or afternoon depending on your time zone )

I start my new-old job on Tuesday. I've worked there before but left to have the baby. Unfortunately a lot has changed since I was there before but when you work in an industry like that its bound to change fast. I have to go back through training, it used to be 4 weeks of classroom and 1 week of "transition". Now it's 5 weeks classroom and 4 weeks of transition. They also took away our hour lunch in training and only gave us 30 minutes =/

I'm getting ready to start some new adventures with being on some new CTs but I'm keeping it hush until I'm all ready. I'm also getting ready to start a blog about "growing" as a scrapper. Lot's of new stuff for me! =]

I hope everyone is having a fantastic day! I'm off to take my wonderful husband to the movies =]

hugs and happy friday everyone!!!

I successfully put Kaylea on the plane yesterday morning (well, dropped her off at the airport...she texted when she got home to her rainy house!! no more leaks for her, though! yay!) and then promptly went to bed. I had a rough night Wed night. I felt fine on the way to the airport, but when i got home i was overcome with tiredness, so i slept all afternoon! wha???? me???? Then I pin-basted my quilt together, and now, today...it's on to quilting!!

I had a dentist appt (cleaning) this morning and i'm excited to say that I really enjoyed getting my teeth clean! Must be getting over that dental phobia!! I go back in two weeks to start the process of getting my teeth healthy again! (there goes our new wood floor! ugh!)

Anyway, I've got a bunch to do before I fly to Salt Lake City next week for Spring Quilt Market. I'm totally excited about it, but have to get some stuff done!! and Mothers Day just may be spent in the craft room. we'll see!! Chris, is your Mom-in-law going? did she win that story contest?? I'm stalking her on fb...so fun!! :)

And Chris, they would welcome you with open arms in the Texas Exhibit!! :) You just have to make sure your hair is really big like you're from Dallas!! (YIKE!!!!) hugs, babe!! (wait...i totally had you as one of the Housewives of New Jersey!! you and Suzy!! LOL!!!!!!)

Laurie!! I'm so excited for all of your fun!!!! Drink a glass for me, please!!

Trudy!!! I wish we were there so our band could play! we love benefits~!!! hugs to you, hun!

Kayleigh, have a wonderful time with all of your new stuff!!! wow!!! and I thought I wasn't really busy...you win the busy award today!!! :)
