Made it to Friday! Thank goodness it was a better week for me than last week. Hope it was good for all of you too.

We are finally getting a bit if spring today- it is supposed to get close to 60*- the last time they said it, it didn't, so we will have to see. But I so desperately want to get outside- I don't care if it is all mud!

Last night was fun for us. Our town has 6 (IIRC) different Elem Schools, Middle and High Schools that all put together an All-District Art Festival. Caitlyn was in the first part of it in the All-District Band. They have all 6 schools put together into one big band. They played 3 songs. Then the 7th grade band, then the high school band... then all of the bands together- three bands, three conductors and one song! Its kind of wild!
The highlight is always the HS bagpipers. We are the "Highlanders" and we have an awesome Bagpipe "band." They march almost every year since 2002 in the NYC St Pat's parade. Last year they were up with the Grand Marshall. Sooo impressive to watch!

So that was good end, to an otherwise kind of yucky day. I had some more issues- changes in health insurance (again!) still no news about my PICC, feeling the w/drawals coming back (why won't they go away and stay away!) and just a very unproductive morning- I struggled with Faery-Wings stuff and it made my brain completely scrambled!

But today is Friday!!! And I am going to get myTo-Do list (must work with a list, no other way) and I am going to get some stuff done.
Then after lunch-- it is outdoor playtime!

I have a couple of min's for personals, then I have to get Scott to the bus.

Kristin - thanks for adding your name! I completely blanked on it, but Quirky suits you too Bummer about the hockey game. I used to Loooove to go to hockey games. Nothing like being at MSG for a Rangers/Islanders game. I haven't followed hockey in years, but yeah! They should have asked you!
And I so wish I could get the remote start installed. Gary got it for me for C-mas thinking he could do it himself. No way, no how. Too many wires. So we don't have the $$ to get it done ATM. Someday (before next winter!!!)

Aaawwww Linda, I am sure he is romantic in his own way. Like Gary is- totally unconventionally romantic. Hope you got your grades in on time!

Woo Hoo! Tali that is awesome news about the twinks! Bet it is kind of bittersweet- closing a door on such a huge part of your - and their lives. But is wonderful news- you are doing a great job with them. The book is good- did you read 19 Minutes by her (jodie Picoult?) same kind of feel but different topic.

*interrupts* I found on FB a iread/weRead? application- I think I saw someone (ME?? Linda?)from here using it too. Kinda cool, you should try it out!

Sara- I crack up every time I see that avi LOLOL!!!! How crappy about your snow- sorry the capris didn't work for ya Hope that you got through your LP's. I lucked out when I was teaching PreK. I only had to hand them in one week in advance and my Director never checked whether I did what i said what I was going to do. With 4 yo's sometimes ya just have to wing it!

Oh Dawn, I hope that Davy pulls through! Sending sweet healthy bunny thoughts!

Happy Friday!! TGIF. This has been a crazy busy week for me, and I am so glad that it's friday! We have a babysitter tomorrow night, and we are going to the Melting Pot. Our anniversary is next week so we are going out this weekend to celebrate!! Yum!

Happy Friday everyone!! Another week bites the dust LOL. Davy is looking good this morning, we'll see, he likes his med so good he chewed the end off the dropper when I gave it to him this morning .

Chris-Hope the PICC line works out, I hate the way ins companies take healthcare out of the hands of doctors, that is a huge pet peeve of mine. Those so-called 'doctors' that sit behind desks at those companies 'reviewing' info making decisions that affect peoples lives have never laid eyes on the patients much less actually examined them like their actual doctor but they get to determine whether or not treatment is 'appropriate' or covered. arrrgh very frustrating. sorry, off my soapbox , I feel rather passionately about that though.

Merkee-Happy Anniversary a bit late! Hope your dear kitty is feeling ok today!

Clara-I hope you are having the best time ever on your vacation!! Can't wait to see lots of pics and hear lots of stories!

Good Friday!
Amazed me every Friday were the week had gone...but a new weekend is here!
Tomorrow we are going to my cousin to celebrate my aunt 85 birthday! woow! and she is so bright! she is bridge champion!
I was out yesterday, a dentist appointment...I decided to go to 3 dentist for an evaluation of the treatment I need to do and about the protesis I need (yes! I can't believe I reached the age of false teeth!!! To me defense I have some of my own left! but it's all new to me and after seeing 3 dentists I am more confused then before! each one said something different to me...what one of them recommend, the other recommended the opposite, now I really don't know what to DO!!!
I also finished yesterday, before going out, my cheeryO LO...I was a little intimidated in the beginning, but I ease my mind and it came to me...I need to try at least, right?
OMG! I DON'T HAVE MORE SPACE IN MY 500 GB DRIVE! my DH is going to kill me! :shock:

Chris- I am sorry you had a crappy day yesterday, but at least you enjoyed the festival, right? I hope you will enjoy the outdoors today!!! here it seems is going to rain . I also work with to do notes and a diary, otherwise.....

Other than that it was pretty uneventful for once...We did dinner at mom's as usual. She lives 5 houses down and since we can we do dinners together, that is our fam time...we split groceries so it is fair on the food end...but that way both grandma and great grandma get to spend time with us and the kids, especially since great grandma might not be with us too much longer! Want to let the kids know her as much as possible before she is gone! Jordan got to be a big boy and have cereal in a bowl for the first time! And boy was that funny! I don't know which was funnier, My hubby trying to feed it to him or the baby trying to eat it! Needless to say we got a laugh. Other than that I spend the rest of the evening updating the Quirky Bits-n-Pieces facebook page with pics of the baby, and samples for my scrap 4 hire attempting to get some orders out there! My goal this weekend is to get more pics up of my Mother's contribution to this venture as well as my neighbor's contribution! So more gorgeous goodies are coming...That is it for me, not sure what I have in store for me today other than it is FRIDAY!!!! YEAH!! I know I need to scrap this weekend but other than that just good old laundry and such.

Ohh I have to ask how are you liking the Jodie Picoult book. Is it a slow read or one you hate to put down? I wasn't sure if I'd like her writing!

And the HD issues...hahahaha...don't feel bad...I went through my 500 GB and the hubby gave up after the second one and just set me up a network computer to dump stuff on that is 1TB!!!! And girl I'm managing to fill that up too! I don't think it ever ends! I'm tickled you submitted a layout for the Ooo guest spot, I was intimidated to do it too but darn it you never know if your never try right!! Good luck girlie!

Wow you are all such busy creative people! This is my first official week in my new 'home' and I love it - I thought I would get time to do some birthday celebrating but life conspired against me! Again! I work from home so it seems to seep into all hours of the day - and week - some are better than others.

When all my kids went off to school - post secondary - I thought I would have scads of time to scrap - apparently that theory was wrong! I did get to post one layout last week and one this week, hopefully i can increase that count.

Today I am off to see if I can light a fire under the painter I hired - do some banking and see if I can actually find my office desk under all that paper! Oh and maybe squeeze in some time to get my farm taxes done! My dd will be home tonight - she in doing an education degree - so that will be fun to have her home and she gets to stay for a week. Her dad wants to put her to work but I just want to hang out with her and hug her!

wow!! you girls are sooo chatty... I had to read through a couple of days worth just to keep up!!!

Yesterday was my stamp club workshop day, so I stayed off of the puter for a while!! It went very very well...everyone liked the projects (which I actually came up with on my own!! usually i lift another kewl card idea!!) We had a turnout of about 12, so that was VERY cool!! I'm still trying to find enough hours in the day to do EVERYTHING i want to...but alas with four beautiful homeschooled children, i have to be realistic!

Here's my EXTREMELY exciting news (for me...) Mr Gorgeous will be home in 2.5 hours!! *sigh* I know you guys are wondering why that is soooo extremely exciting, but I haven't gotten any sleep without him this week. You'd think after doing this travel mess for almost a year, I'd be able to sleep...nope! I can't...and I stay up too late and on and on...SO tonight, I WILL SLEEP!! YAY!!! (it's really not about mr gorgeous...it's about me!! ahahahahah!!!) I'm also excited that he'll be home next week. It makes the weekend sooo much mnore bearable!! Otherwise we both get cranky and it's not pretty!!! I know that's hard to believe...me cranky!! !! (CORA....SHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!)

Okay...I'm yelling for school to start. Apparently letting everyone stay up until 11:30pm wasn't that good of an idea!! (it's 10am...they can do school!! !!)

Morning everyone.

The anniversary pizza was great! Did you know that pizza delivery is the third most dangerous job for getting murdered? Yikes... I was looking up how much you are supposed to tip a pizza deliverer and found that bit of trivia. Oh on the tip, it should be the same as a waiter because of the danger and expense and they are performing a service. The other two jobs were Police Officer and Taxi Driver.

The kitty is doing well, she is eating like a horse. I think not feeding her for a day made her afraid that she won't get her food and she is making up for lost time. lol She goes back tomorrow for a checkup and to have that drainage tube removed. Yay!

Yay - Friday at last!
Yesterday was busy but I did manage to get a little caught up on things. Guest speakers are the bomb!
My students served at the dinner for the annual meeting of the local electric cooperative last night. We all had so much fun and I loved getting a chance to see and visit with so many former students and their family members. The group we worked for was so impressed with how well the kids worked that they gave us all the leftover food. So I had a bunch of my FFA members in my room for lunch today and still brought home leftovers! I don't have to cook tonight
I feel like I'm starting to get the nasty influenza that's going around We have lots of kids sick and it seems to be one of those bugs that just knocks you flat! fingers crossed that I can beat it this weekend! Not sure what the big plans are - maybe it's time to buy a copy of the Twilight dvd and hang out with popcorn and movies some!

News Flash - the regional science fair was today - the gal that I helped with her project won her division!
