We made it! Friday! *whew*

This has to be real quick. I have to go and get Cait up and ready for school. I was reading about the animals being sickened and dying in the Gulf. I can't even look at the pics w/o my heart from breaking. And it is just the tip of the iceberg, for sure.

I am working from home today- so I should be able to squeeze in some time to check back in.

YES IT IS FRIDAY!!! I am soooooooooo ready for the weekend!!!! No really big plans, but just ready!!!

We never did get to take Jamie (middle step daughter) out for her birthday, so we are going this Saturday night. We are going to The HomePlace. I haven't been there in a while...it's out past where Sharon lives....sort of in the country. It's an old farm plantation that has been turned into a restaurant...and has some AWESOME food....you pay one price per person and they just keep bringing the food too you. And talk about a GORGEOUS PLACE!! Here is a photo

Other than that, Cameran has a ballgame tomorrow morning....

My Friday will consist of photography and more photography. It's taking over my life- I having scrapped in so long I can't remember! It's one of those days I know I need to find a better balance with my life!

Other than that, I'm going to pack the boys off for a father and son camping trip and spend a girls night with my mom and daughter. Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning all... Finally the sun is making an apperance here :clap2: I am so sad that my camera is not working and I have to take it to Victoria (approx. 1hr drive) to get the darn thing fixed. I miss my camera :cry: Nana a while ago you said you wanted to see pics of my garden, well here you go, here is some of it at least then my camera bit the dust. I could not get the rest of my garden, but you can see some of it anyway. By the way ... I love the pic you took of the restaurant, it looks like an amazing place to go!! Hoping to get to Victoria tomorrow and then perhaps take in a Movie while we are there. Anyone seen the new Sex in the City Movie?? Hope you are all having the best day!! Back later :wave:

Gorgeous pics guys!! Now I want to eat, but not play in the garden. Sorry Trudy. I would be a mess by the time I left the garden...but it sure is pretty. I would love to see it through the window for sure.

So, I'm trying to get a few things in order now. We got the Malibu all pretty and cleaned out. It almost looks new. We traded it out with the trailblazer so DH has it and I can't take pics to put it up on craigslist. Whah!! Tonight when he gets home I will though for sure and it will be posted tonight so people can hopefully be interested over the weekend. That is my hope anyway. I'll need to call and get a payoff amount today.

I just sent out evites for my sister's surprise party. My mom is being my mom as usual and has something in her mind how things should be and doesn't want to think of anything else. Which means I'll have to get it all figured out since she'll be no help. It isn't that big of a deal. The place we are doing it is a bar and they said they have catering options, which I'm guessing would be large appetizer platters and stuff and probably wouldn't cost anymore than anything else, but she's just being silly. I just need to get some more email addresses of some of her friends from work and stuff. I have some super secret spies but they aren't helping much. Ugh!!

Okay, I have done nothing today. I stayed up too late trying to set up Dave Ramsey software on my computer. I'll tell you what if any of you fight about money with your spouse look into that class. It is a Christian-based program but relates to everybody. It took me forever to convince DH to do it because he won't have anything to do with anything church-ish but he now swears by it and we haven't had a fight about money since we really got started in the program. It rocks.

You guys are sooo fun today!! So I pop in here and there are pics galore in the Os...so I was just editing my avatar pic, and had to share these hysterical pics from my sheep/texas hat photo shoot!! They soooo crack me up!!

yep...that's me holding the camera!! teeheee!! aren't i a goof?? well, and here's my new hair do from yesterday. I have a pic of my foot on the sewing machine pedal, too with my new pedicure (*sigh* nothing better!!!), but it makes my foot look really fat, so I'm not sharing that one!!! teeheee!!!

Okay, enough of my craziness!!! LOL!!

Cora and I are still sewing Colonial gowns for tomorrow's Homeschooling Open House. She is sewing Lillian's and I am doing hers. THey are turning out gorgeous!! I'm sure i'll post pics from tomorrow night. AND we will post the play that she wrote (it's about the Revolutionary War - the american one!) on YouTube for those who won't be able to be here to enjoy it, too!! I'm hoping I remember all of my lines, or at least I can fake it well enough that no one will know that I messed them up!! teeeheee!!

Tonight=date with Mr Gorgeous at my fave mexican restaurant which also = Margaritas!! yipeeee!! I'm totally excited!! I love Fridays...did I mention that???

Okay, the girlie is about to let me use MY sewing machine now, so I better get!!

We have a new cat in the family! He's upstairs hiding under somebody's bed right now. The kids really wish he'd come out. He is nice and will let you pet him, but he does a lot of hissing. It seems like his hissing is all a big bluff, tho. Like, "I am going to bite you any minute! I promise! No, really!" He'll adjust in time. It's a traumatic event for a little furry guy.

Linda- BEautiful! I saw that pic and I was like, "is that where she LIVES???" I was about to hop on a plane!

Stevie- Hiya! Funny how photography will do that to you, huh? When I first got my DSLR all I did was take pictures and edit them. I had no time to scrap, I just wanted to play with pictures!

Clara- I'll have to consider doing that program with Vince when he gets home.. or should I start it before he gets here? Would it be easier to get the whole thing underway without him? Post-deployment finances are notoriously tough.

Sally- MMM Mexican food! Can't have margaritas right now.. actually, it probably wouldn't be super smart to eat Mexican food, either. *sigh* Well, have a bite and a sip for me. LOVE your new avi, by the way! What a great smile!

Trudy- your garden is BEAUTIFUL!!! Wish I had that kind of dedication. Oh, and my own yard. LOL.

Chris- I'm totally with you. I have been mostly staying away from the coverage of the spill, because it feels like there's nothing that can be done, and it just sucks so bad!! I have several friends in NOLA, and I just hate thinking about them having to go through this, right after they were feeling like they'd recovered. GRRRRR! If you have a minute, you should check out the "Raging Grannies" video I posted on my FB wall!
