The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Wow. Friday- Finally!!! It has been a very long week, mentally, if nothing else. This weather is making me crazy- yesterday we had a high of 65* and "normal" is 78* I hate this! LOL

Speaking of normal, tomorrow I am going to see Next to Normal on Broadway. My BFF saw it when it first opened and said it is a must see. So I scraped some $$ together, got some for Mother's Day and we got tickets. It is about a family dealing with the mother's bipolar disorder. I heard it was emotional to begin with, but now I am getting nervous that it all might hit too close to home with everything that my own family has beein/is going through. I hope I don't cry through the entire show. I tend to keep my emotions closed up, but once they let loose... forget it!

Other than that, I wish school was over. I am so sick of the routine. And then yesterday, we got notice that there is a confirmed case of H1N1 (swine flu) in Scott's school. I am not too worried, in general, except for the fact that the Lyme has wacked out his immune system. I am not sure if that would make a difference should he get it, but I sure hope not.

*yawns* so tired!

Dawn, OMG, that Davy is too much! LOL Scott had two rats a year or so ago. And man, they were smart, and they were chewers too. They chewed out of their cage one. We had to reinforce the cage with metal railings and screen!
How did the eye appt go? I get really dry/itchy/allergy eyes too. I am wearing B&L Pure Vision. My dr said I could try Oasis if I wanted to but I didn't want to deal w/ something new. So I didn't. And I wish I had given them a shot. Oh well!

My favorite tacoShell!!!!!

Sara- sounds like you have had a wonderful week! Good for you- you deserve it after all of the end of the year stress :)

Sandra- congrats again on getting the job!!!

Ona- woo hoo! Hope the b-day surprise went off great!!

LindaW- your DD is due soon, right? So exciting!!!!

Dawn, which contacts did you get? Can you let me know how you like them? My dr also prescibed drops- Panatol? and then the generic of it. And then another generic and my insurance denied them all *eye roll*

It is Friday my dears- what do you need to finish before the weekend?
I have to finish the gifts I am making for Cait's teachers. And that is about all I am gonna be able to do, I think :)

Have a great one!

good morning... I'm up really early... figured I better get in the habit over the weekend... although I'll have to get up earlier than I did this morning... hopefully, I'll adjust quickly... Piper's already struggling with the idea of me going back to work and cried twice yesterday... she said she doesn't want to be without me... I think once she starts going to daycare she'll be fine, but with how hard she cried I'm not sure.

Today is gonna be a lay-back kinda day I hope... looks like its gonna rain again *sigh* I am so sick of rain! I have to take the kids over to the daycare later this morning to get them enrolled and get a calendar of events... they're going to be doing all kinds of things with them over the summer... I think they'll have a good time... during orientation, I'm going to sign them up for Shark Time at the school... its their after school program so it'll be easy to pick them up since the school is just across the street from the house.

Chris - thanks :) I had to go out and buy clothes to wear to work since I didn't really have any... last time I worked it was for a short period of time and winter LOL... Piper went shopping with me which was fun...

Finish it Friday - I am trying to catch up on laundry, and I need to get after the kids to clean up... I also need to strip and change all the beds... gotta figure out a menu for next week (I'm thinking crockpot meals lol) and get the grocery list together for shopping... hmm I think that's enough for today lol..

Have a great day everyone!

TGIF!!!!! Am I ever sooooo happy it is Friday! I actually had the best week so far this year. Wow, did I really say that?! It started off with me feeling alittle yucky but turned out ok.

Chris-I would totally cry through the whole thing....just from what you've said about it I can tell, LOL. It sounds really good, I hope you enjoy it :). Davy is nuts, he was sooo sweet at first this morning, all lovey dovey...right now he is into everything LOL.
The eye dr gave me a sample pair of OptixClear something or other and has ordered me those but they have been renamed something else LOL. So far they feel better, funnything is I had started getting used to the Oasis I think. He gave me some drops called Blink, I think they are just OTC but he said they are really good. I go back to see him a wk after the new contacts come in to make sure they are ok.

Sandra-Are you getting nervous butterflies in your tummy?! I'm sure Piper will settle in after the first few days. Kids are so resilient. After the new routine gets going for everyone it'll all be fun for her I bet.

Hi Sara, LindaW, Clara, Sally, Tali, Kelly, everyone, I hope you all have a fab day! Hugs and love to you all :).

Good morning!! Well, another week to an end...and Chris...it definately has been a long one!!! with feeling so yucky for most of it...I am way behind on what I need to accomplish...starting Monday, I will be picking Cameran up for his Kindergarten readiness program...he will go for 3 weeks, half days...so I will pick him up every day at 12....his mom is a little out done because he is excited to go, but not to learn or get ready, because his Nana is picking him up every day...hehehehe!! No......he's not spoiled!! I have to get a little housework done then off to have lunch with my MOM and DD...then more errands! I hope everyone has a great day and weekend!!:p

Chris....I would be bawling over the play, from what you have explained!! but Yay for you that you get to go!! HAVE FUN!! and I can not believe your schools are not out yet...GEEEZZZ how long the the little guys have to go??!! They were out a couple of days ago here.

Sandra....Congrats again on the job! I am so sorry that Piper is not taking it so well, but kids are pretty resilliant, she will do fine, I am sure, when she gets so busy at daycare! Props to you for doing what you have to do!! Good luck!!

Dawn...yay for the contacts....take us a pic to show off your pretty face!! I wear my glasses at the house all the time, but I always put contacts in when I go out! I did wear my new glasses out one time (with the bifocals), and they made me so sick at my stomach!! ((Big Hugs))

Ona...I hope the party goes great! How fun are you doing all this for your DH!! I couldn't get away with it! I tried on his 50th...he found out! I did have a really big party for his 40th, and he didn't know anything...we had a really big blow out then...FUN times!! You know, I have NEVER had a party for my birthday :o....what's up with that???!!! Oh well...guess they just don't love me as much as I love them..LOL...no they really do! We just always end up going out to dinner or something like that. You need to take a pic for us to with the new hair!!

Sara...AWE..Ben dressing himself....you know...Cameran is 5 and he still likes for me to help him dress...his MOM doesn't like it, and he dresses himself at home, but that is one of the joys of being a NANA...you don't have to worry about it!! how old is Ben?? Sounds like you had fun with your cousin the other night!! YAY!

Hi Shell....nice to meet you!!

to everyone else who runs into today...HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

ANOTHER HOT HOT day here...we are having way above normal temps, and lots of thunderstorms!!

Morning girlies!

I'm dropping in quick before I get ready to go. I have to run up to school for a few reasons. (I say run up like it's a quick thing, but it's a 25 min. drive one way...hee hee.) A coworker and friend has a daughter who has been having migraines, numbness, etc. all year. They've gone to a headache and pain clinic in Michigan for tests and had to come back to have the daughter take the ACT. But they have to go back up there and stay for two weeks. So, some of us are putting together a basket of stuff for them to take. I also have to deal with a pain in the bootie problem my tech guy has created. =) Fun, fun. But tonight, Ben and I are going to a surprise party for my friend that he adores. Her four-year-old stepdaughter will be there, so Ben should have fun.

Chris - Is Next to Normal based at all on the books "Far from Normal" and "Deliver us from Normal"? If so, I love that author. She also writes books for kids and came to our school this year. She is smart and nice and funny and totally down to earth. If not....well...I'm sure it'll still be good. And don't worry about crying if it hits close to home. That's what good plays are all about. I'm sure there will be a lot of people there that it will move like that. (Heck, I cried at Wicked for no good reason!) I hope you enjoy it and have fun. It's been a little unseasonably cool here and rainy days off and on, but I've enjoyed it. It's been mostly in the low 70's for a high as opposed to 85 or something. But I hope some sun comes your way.

Sandra - I'm sure when Piper gets to daycare she'll be excited about it. But I know it's certainly hard with that transition. Even after a three or four day weekend, I have to work to build Ben's excitement up to go back to daycare, even though he loves the people there. Shopping is fun...I hope you found what you needed. I'm so excited for you to start a new venture. I hope it all works out well!

Dawn - I have been thinking about getting Ben a small pet. But I'm pretty sure we won't be getting a rabbit! Ha ha ha! Seems like Davy is more than a handful sometimes. (And perhaps a little bipolar himself.) =) Glad your week got better!

Linda - Rain here too. But I don't mind it so much today. We haven't had it raining constantly for days here though, so that makes a difference. Ben is 3 and a 1/2. He is getting too big too quickly. He says the funniest things and it really is a crazy age. He can be sweet and funny and mommy's little boy. Then he can turn around and be Mr. Independent sassy-pants getting into trouble, then he'll turn around and cry and throw a fit. It's a little exhausting. =) But hey...that's being a mother right?!

O.k. That took longer than I planned. I better get going. Have a good day y'all!

Good morning ladies. Today is a pretty good day. I woke up to the kids this morning being sweet. I had to talk my husband into changing my daughter's clothes though. I guess he went running and it was really nice but after he got back it got overcast. So it was way too cold for shorts and a tanktop.

So, it looks like my dh is going to reenlist. Not sure yet but he is working hard to wrap his brain around the concept. He hasn't done anything to get promoted so he wouldn't be eligible for reenlistment until he is. BUT he doesn't have enough time left to take care of it. So, he is going to get a 90 day extension so that he has some extra time and then get all of his ducks in a row so that he can reenlist if that is the best option. He had a couple of really hard days there for a while but he is starting to feel better about everything I think. At least he is sleeping. That makes me happy. A tired and cranky Derek makes a tired and cranky Clara.

So, does anyone have big plans for this weekend? I'm not sure yet what I am doing. I know the boys are going camping at some point which should be fun for them. So, it will just be me and Addie which is always nice. I might go see my brother this weekend. I want to find out if he is going to propose to his girlfriend when we jump out of planes. He's jumping too. She's not but she'll be there. So, I am hopeful. I know she wants to plan a wedding for next summer. I told him if he didn't marry her we might adopt her at our house instead. I just love it when people I care about are happy and with people that make them happy and aren't jerks. My sis always dates jerks. It stinks.

Anyway, sorry for all the useless rambling about silly stuff. I'm going to go now. I hope all of you guys have a great Friday. Friday is a good day.

Chris - I really hope you get some sunshine out there. Maybe the sun is saving up its energy for when school is out. Do your schools get out next week? Ours are out a week from today. Soon! Have qa blast at the play tonight. I think they keep theaters dark so that no one can see who's crying. Take some tissue and cry your heart out. It will be good for you.

Sandra - I'm sure you will adjust to a new schedule just fine. I am also sure that Piper will be fine but change is so hard at first. I know it seems like Addie just puts on a show for me because she stops crying as soon as she can't see me anymore. Ethan used to do that too. Preschool/daycare I believe is so good for kids. I think you will both be okay.

Dawn - I am so glad that you had a great week. I hope you have a great weekend to go along with it.

Linda - I think it is awesome that you spoil your grandbabies. especially since you get to see them so often. I know my neighbor has her grandkids all the time and there are a lot of them and it is definately out of necessity so they don't get very spoiled. I would go crazy if I didn't get to spoil my grandkids when I get to that point in my life. I had to live with my parents for 6 months while my husband was in school out of state and that was the hardest part about it...my mom had a hard time with having to play parent sometimes.

Sara - Aren't errands just so fun? You have a perfectly good day and you have to spend it in the car. It stinks. I hope it isn't so bad though. have a blast at your party.

Okay...I am out of steam. I have to do alittle bit of scrapping today and then back to watching my show. Life is just way too hard. LOL!! I have actually had 3 patients today though. I say that like it is a lot. Not so much. When I am at the hospital I do as many patients in an hour as I do on a busy day here. I'm spoiled. I'm going to hold off on looking for any type of job now since it is possible we could be moving in the next year-ish. I really think a move could be good for us, besides the whole house thing. I would use it as an opportunity to do some simplifying, ya know?? We'll see what happens. I'll chat with y ou guys later.

Waaaaaahhh the shop picked the worst time to be down!!!!! I am soooo upset I was all set to go buy and play with Liz's new kit and I can't now my weekend is shot :( I mean I am crying huge crocodile tears here. I have been waiting until I had some extra $$ and now I can't get it, waaaah! LOL, have I ever told y'all patience is not my strong suit?! hahaha

Davy is being a pure angel this evening :). Of course the evening is young LOL. I've only been home an hour!

Sara-you soooo need to get Ben a rabbit, LOL! I just have a tendency to let my pets walk all over me ;).

Hee hee. I was avoiding doing things I should have probably been doing. And also curious about how well I could try to alter a photo. So I made this tonight...(and since you guys are my close friends, I'll share it with you...)

I've lost 16 pounds since January. And while I'm happier with how I look now than I have been in a long time......

This is how I feel. (I plan on getting there.)
