We did it! It is Friday!!!! I have been wanting it to be Friday since Monday ;)
Lets close the book on this week and start the new month on Sunday- By Monday we'll be all rested and ready to rock and roll.

For whatever reasons, I was so exhausted yesterday, and so was Scott. We both ended up taking naps before dinner. Poor guy- when Gary woke him up for pre-dinner meds, he though it was Friday morning! And he couldn't figure out why I was gone and that Gary and Cait were awake! Then poor Gary tired to wake me up and I was yelling at him, I wasn't getting up. I am not good when I wake up, not at all. One of the main reasons why I try not to nap during the day- one "wake-up" a day is plenty LOLOL!

Sandra- my heart is breaking for you and I wish I could take some of the pain and the struggle away I hope that Matthew feels better soon. Please, as hard as it may be, take care of you too. Promise??

Clara- I am always facinated by x-rays, human body stuff, but I don't think I want to see gunky chests!

Hi Sally!!

ME- so true, Feb just flew on by! Now, the weather needs to catch up with the idea that winter should be almost over!

hey Kelly! I love it when I am cleaning and have the time and energy to keep going.
Woot on 700!!

LindaP-- so cool on all of your designs- I have been watching your blog- good work!

Sara- ouch! Hope you feel better!!

Have a great day!!

good morning... I've already had coffee, and i'm having a little breakfast... Daddy had a bad spell yesterday... his blood pressure dropped to 79/40-ish and we thought for a minute we might lose him, but they gave him some meds to help him relax and he must have had a restful night because I didn't get any phone calls... I'm gonna head over there in a little while... my sister will be here this afternoon, so I'm gonna try to stay at home a little more this evening...

Matthew had a rough night with coughing so I didn't get much sleep... I was so tired last night I forgot to hook up the vaporizer so I need to do that tonight and hopefully he'll sleep better...

Not much going on other than that!

Chris - I'm trying... its just hard to take care of me when there's so much going on... but I am trying ((hugs))...

have a great Friday everyone!

Friday, YAY! It's cold again :( We had freezing rain, sleet, snow and wind yesterday. The roads are fine this morning so life is good! Mr. Wonderful is a little under the weather so he played hooky today. He's also planning to meet with the plumbing and heating guy about our proposed remodel. Eventually, we hope to have a bedroom and master bath. Now when I say eventually - here's the deal - we've been remodeling since 2002. The kids have bedrooms, we don't. Ours is the last to be finished. So we've been sleeping on the mattress on the floor in the living room for too long to count. Hubby is meeting with the plumbing heating guy to see if we can physically put a bathroom where we want to. Also to see what can be done to improve our heating/cooling system - which was new in 2002 and just can't seem to keep up. It's a big house. It's all a huge, long process. I'll be so glad when we are done!
We're meeting some friends for dinner tonight, Hope Mr. Wonderful feels better by then!
Chris- thanks for the pep talk about starting anew month on Sunday - I needed that. Thanks also for following my work on my blog. It's been such fun!
Sandra - still praying for you and your father and family. Hope Matthew feels better soon!
Hi to everyone else, have a fabulous Friday!

always chatty at the O!!
Yay for Friday!! Today is a good day. End of the week. I'll have 2 kids for most of the weekend. We have friends coming for dinner on Saturday. I fit into all of my jeans today in my closet. Whoohoo!! No coffee today though. So sad. I got my tax return today.

So, my day is going pretty well so far. I recently decided that I need a vacation to look forward to so I have started planning one for next year. I am going on a cruise to the Western Caribbean, leaving on Feb 28. Yay!!! I am so excited. It goes to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. I am hoping to get it bboked soon. I am also thinking about taking Ethan with us. I know he won't really remember it at the age of 7 but I think I would really enjoy having him there. Any thoughts on that? I will definately be leaving Addie at home though. So, I am starting the savings now. I think I should have plenty saved up in time to pay for the trip and then in time to have plenty of spending money. Not to mention I keep forgetting about the cost of a flight. I'll get it figured out though. I am just so excited to have a plan and a plan to save for it. yay!! I don't know why I am so excited though. It is a year away. A year from tomorrow to be exact. EEEK!!

OKay, so what else is going on...not much really. Ethan had today off of school. They have so many days off of school. I don't know how they get a full year of schooling in. This month they had 2 early release days, a teacher day, and mid-winter break gave them a 4-day weekend. I guess it isn't that much. It just seems like a lot. But he's at his Taekwondo place today. It is so great having him in that after-school program. He really enjoys it. I like the people and they provide care for the teacher days and stuff, unless it is a holiday. Ethan was supposed to do his testing today for his first belt but with his broken arm he fell a bit behind. He doesn't remember any of his forms and is having a hard time catching up. He'll be set for next time though I am sure.

Well...

Chris - I agree, waking up is so hard. I think that is why I don't. My dh and kids wake up so much better than I do. Ethan can be a little bit cranky sometimes though. I hope you get lots of rest and feel 100% better next week.

Sandra - I just have more hugs for you. Try an do something nice for you today, even something simple like a hot chocolate from Starbucks or something, or doing a crossword puzzle bu the fire. Whatever it is that gives you a few minutes of peace. Big hugs for you as always.

Linda - you are one brave woman letting your husband do your remodel. I can't do it. After a couple of things that happened my dh and I have agreed not to do our own projects. We are going to get some floors installed this year. I have to go pick out my floors so my mom can get them ordered, then we have to find someone to install them. Plus DH and I need to decide how we want them installed. I want them to be diagonal and he says no. We'll see. I guess it is more cost effective to have them go one direction across the floor. We just have to do it.

Hi Mary Ellen!! Have a great weekend!!!

Good afternoon O's. We spent the morning with a friend who just had a baby two weeks ago. I can't believe how big he is already over 12 pounds, he was 11.8 at birth though (and born NATURALLY) but he is still so tiny next to my girls you forget they start off that small. We went over to let her 3 year old get some play time in and so she could have some adult time it was a nice morning.

I had planned on washing the walls in the living room so that Gunar could start painting this weekend, but I fell asleep instead ;). I work all day tomorrow so I don't feel that bad, a girl needs to catch a nap when she can. Tonight I have an event with some ladies from church so I need to get making something for dinner for the rest of my family. Hugs O's.

Clara~ I would say leave both of your kids at home for this trip, we did this past fall when we went. That way you get to do everything you want and then in a few years maybe you could bring both of them. I know what you mean about not wanting to bring them for trips they won't remember. My mom has been hounding me since Kalin was born to come and visit her (she lives in Hawaii)...but I can't justify the 16 hour trip when my kids won't even remember going. I want to wait until they are old enough to know and enjoy that they've been to Hawaii.

Chirs~ I am an expert nap taker :). Maybe its from my years of working 3rd shift I can sleep anywhere anytime and wake up without being cranky(at least no one tells me I am cranky...)

HI to ME and Linda

Sandra~ Sending you extra big hugs.

I am putting on a pot of decaf and made a batch of afternoon brownies so help yourself!
