yay for Friday! I simply cannot wait to sleep late tomorrow. That will be heaven!

Considering I was off on Monday- it sure has been a long week, eh? My poor brain feels like it is on "extra slow' today. Ever get that feeling? tee hee.

The kitten is not around, so let me try to get some personals done.

Sally- You so rock as a mom. I am really happy that lillian is doing so much better with her theater class. I love that you are not putting any pressure of her. But you know that she has the talent, its in her genes.

Morning all-most likely aill be using my paid time off today. We have several inches of blowing &drifting snow!

Chris - I got both a new phone & a mini tablet with wifi and camera. I can take it back with restocking fee if I decide to save up for ipad. This is small enough to easily carry in my purse! Do not know how the test turned out yet.

Morning everyone TGIF!! Home all day today and not back to work until Tuesday (so far) . Really cutting back on the part time hours, it is slow right now at the Store, but it will pick up again in the spring, when everyone is doing renos and getting their gardens ready. Just found out that the funeral for hubby's Aunt Lorna is on Wed. so guess I will have to work out something to change shifts with someone at work. We will have to take the ferry to the mainland and will probably go over with the In-laws, hopefully hubby will drive as his dad always gets lost. Even with a GPS he tries to find a better way to arrive at his destination and just frustrates the hell out of everyone. Don't think he should be driving much longer :nono:.

Chris - Hope you get to sleep til noon on Saturday! :sleep: Too cute that your kitten is licking your face, I love kittens, wish they would stay little and cuddly. It would be great if the rain would wash away all the snow you have, then you could see the grass again and not have to shovel anymore!

Laurie - Your new toy sounds great! Hope you get to stay at home and keep warm! Will it ever stop snowing where you are?

Sally - Enjoyed your novel the other day... you are a great mom!! Hope the sales on your Etsy Store continue to climb!!

Well better get busy and get Sadie's birthday gift out to her, I was hoping that my son could take it back with him as he was planning on coming out for the funeral, but he can't make it, darn it. So now I am sure this package will be late. I'm such a bad Grandma!! Have a great friday everyone!
 
Ugh!! I probably won't be doing personals...just to warn you. I am so frustrated right now. I have the IRS on hold at the moment. Apparently, in Turbo Tax my account number for my bank got mixed up. I have no idea how that happened. So my money went to somebody else's account. I didn't even realize my return was already back. It came in last Friday. I thought they were all taking forever so I was just being patient. So it didn't come in today like I was expecting so I went to the IRS page to see when it was going to come in and it said last week. So I started looking into it and saw that the account numbers weren't matching up. I have no idea how that happened and it didn't even occur to me to check that. So I called the bank and they said once they get ahold of the member and get the money back they will be sending it back to the IRS and not to me. WHAT!!! I mean I get it but still. I just want my money and how long will it take for the money to come to me with all of this. I am soooooooooo frustrated now. I don't know what is going to happen now and I am just sitting here on hold with the IRS waiting my turn for a time that will be longer than 15 minutes. LAME!!!! So, here I sit. Waiting...Waiting...Waiting. How in the world did these numbers randomly change? I love Turbo Tax. It is awesome. It takes me step by step and makes doing my taxes so easy. I just don'r understand how this happened. It didn't even occur to me to double check my account number. Nothing had changed. I even paused there, made sure it was the right bank and then moved on. I am soooooooo freaked out right now!!! Okay, I am going to hop over to gallery and see if pretty layouts make me feel better!!

Okay...off the phone with the IRS. I didn't get an answer I liked but I got an answer I can live with. They have a system in place for people like me. As soon as the money comes back from the bank they will start the process of producing a paper check and it will be sent to my parents house since that is our home of record. A royal pain in the you know what, but it is handleable. I can deal with that. I don't like it and I really wanted to buy some airplane tickets, that I am not sure I will be able to buy now, but it is all fixable and not the end of the world. I can deal. I am still baffled as to how the numbers got jumbled in the first place. The lady at the IRS was baffled that the money even got deposited. She said most banks won't deposit money when the name and account number don't match. So some people have been off spending our money. They will be sucking when they have to give it back. I hope it happens soon...the sooner it gets returned to the IRS the sooner I get my check. Ugh!!

Thanks for dealing with my ranting. It is a big fat check. If you know Dave Ramsey...it was going to be a major Gazelle intensifying check.
 
Ohhh Clara... I hope you get your cheque real soon!!! So frustrating when things go wrong especially with your finances :frusty: At least you will be getting it! Be patient my friend :hug:
 
Really quick for me right now... I got a late start today... my gall bladder is the culprit, again. My dad was texting me back and forth at 6am this morning about it, I guess this really does run in our family pretty badly. None of us have ever had stones, it just acts out... even without trigger foods. He got so bad that the pain wasn't manageable with anything over the counter, and had to go to the ER for morphine. Since my surgeon refuses to take it out because there's no obstruction, I have to wait until I get to that point of pain otherwise the insurance wont cover it. Right now taking Tums during the pain is helping calm in down in an hour or two, before it comes back again.

I'm making a tracking binder for my grandma to track my grandpa's progress every day. They need to track his weight and sodium intake, I've added other things like a 1-10 scale for his wheezing and coughing & a notes section I'm also going to use dividers in the back for them to keep all of the paperwork from doctors and keep track of his medications and tests.

I have to scurry off and print out the binder stuff, hit Fresh & Easy for their salt free chips, my brother's for a special weight scale and my DMV renewl stuff (freaking hate the DMV, they never send stuff to my current address even though they have it) then my grandparent's to give them everything.
 
So...my day totally worked out. I got a call this evening from my credit union. Today i called the main number and they directed it to the branch. Well, the branch looked it all over and was getting everything taken care of and the managers saw that derek was in the military and that i was unemployed and knew it would be weeks before we would get our money and decided that would be unacceptable. So they decided that instead of sending the money back to the IRS they would just deposit it into our account. WOW!! I had already resigned myself to waiting the several weeks for it to get here. I love that some credit unions have decided to keep the small bank feel and not go big bank. Amazing. Great day.
