seriously- TGIF.......

I hope everyone is having a better run of emotional luck than I am. last month things were going pretty good. The last couple of weeks.... I am getting slammed. Yesterday I got laid off my job. It was PT work at home, so it was perfect for me. I was considered a Contractor so I am not eligible for any type of benefits. And even with the loss of that salary, we still have too high of an income for me to get any assistance towards health insurance.
such a crazy time of year for everyone.

But I am going to try to be Sally-Like and tell myself that when one door closes, another opens. I am not going to worry about it until after the holidays but instead I am going to focus on Faery-wings.

Today i have to steam clean the clarpets one last time before I put the christmas tree up. And then finish up any prep for the Craft fair tomorrow and get my stuff packed up.

I guess that can be my finish-it friday!
 
AWE CHRIS!!!!!!!!!!! :hug: :kiss: I am sorry to hear this sweetie!!! Really, you need to keep writing those letters to the state, the governor, whoever.....To the WHITEHOUSE....just keep letting them know your situation and that you NEED NEED NEED help with that insurance!!!!! How I wish I could help!!!!!

Oh and I shudder at the thought of steam cleaning the carpets AGAIN!!! GOOOOOOOOD LUCK with the craft show!! I HOPE YOU SELL EVERYTHING and THEN SOME!!!!!
 
i am sorry that i have been missing personals this week. It just feels like I am running all kookily in non-symmetrical circles!

Nana Linda- Yay for mom-time! and good job on getting the tickets. Isn't it crazy how the convenience charges are now more than tickets themselves used to be "back in the day." The kids are going to love it!

laurie- whew- glad you hear that YMG was ok. Bet the snow looks pretty- but you can please keep it away from me LOL
That stinks about the health insurance. Believe me, no matter how you look at it they all suck :(

ME- We are still catching up on DVR stuff so I have no idea where we left off with Fringe. I love that show!

Katrina- we are in the same boat for Christmas too. I pickes up a couple of small things for Gary at Christmas Tree Shop and I make him home made shortbreads every year. Other than that, i am stuck, esp since I don't want to spend any $$ that i don't have.

meg- wooooooot! Good timing on that check!!!! Glad you had a nice time! You deserved it.

Trudy- I saw the other day that your drs appt is the 8th? Good luck!
Hope you got some good scrap time in.

Petra- good luck with your traveling- loved the pics!!!!

Trudy- sorry to hear about the 'rejection." its not really a rejection so I hate to even call it that. It is hard to not take it personal. I am on Nina's CT and I know that it kills her to have to cut out applicants.

Yesterday was exhausting for me.....I decided to go to court for the stupid ticket I got on the expired state inspection sticker....I had my car inspected the very next day (it was only 7 days expired). They usually throw them out if you have done it before the court date....so I went...I was there and hour and half...listening to the other cases....judge dismissed mine...BUT still had to pay the ADMINSTRATION FEE $66 !!!!! WTH??? Some guy before me that was all "BUSINESS LIKE" in a fancy suit, he totally threw his out and told him he had to pay nothing!!! He was ticketed for a broken tail light and he had it repaired, brought the repair bill with him and told the judge his wife backed into to something...the judge found that amuzing and said he "was all for marital bliss" and he was throwing the WHOLE thing out...no fees due. :rant:

Well...came back home for a bit until time to go get Cameran and then Sharon got off early and we drove to take her car to drop off to fix the brakes and rotors....our mechanic lives about 40 minutes away....took Sharon and the kids home...then back out again to meet a lady that bought some stuff from Craigslist from me. Picked up Subway for dinner and then I was home wiped out!!! I was asleep on the couch by 9:30. I have not been having ANY problems sleeping lately!!!!!!!

Oh I hope today is EVENTLESS!!!!

I better run!!! LOTS OF HUGS AND LOVE LADIES!!!

TGIF!! And it's a short work day for me. DH's office is having their holiday party tonight, yes, 12/3 (seems early to me too), so I am going with him. :)

Nana - what a long day for you. At least you didn't have to pay the ticket, but dang that is a high admin fee. Hope today is calm and stress free.

I gotta stop sleeping past my alarm. Which means getting to bed a little earlier. Just made the bus and the kids helped get the trash out at the very last minute. The garbage truck was 2 houses away!

I was so inspired by everyone doing handmade crafts that I took up my crochet needle and have made 1/3 of a scarf (and it isn't wonky!!!!) for DH, and have finished a scarf for my dd's Christmas present (American Doll from her aunt) and will make a matching one for her. Plan to make scarves for the boys as well. I want to learn how to make an eternity scarf. I love the look of them! I have found that Martha Stewart isn't as bad as I had thought. She has some pretty cute ideas. I especially love the idea of making animals out of gloves. So I picked up a few pair and am going to try it! I am also going to design some one of a kind t-shirt decals-print them out- and iron them onto shirts for each of the kids. Thinking of drawing them pictures to go on their walls too, but not sure yet. One thing at a time.

Off to scrap a couple pages and then I must sit down and memorize the brain for Monday's practical. I know most of it. I just really need to learn the ear and the eye yet. Not too worried. I do well at memorizing. It's learning the info for the exams that gets me. I guess a B isn't so bad. At least I hope not. Maybe if I do better next semester I'll get an A in A&P 2 and it'll be all good.

Don't know who here has heard of it (I'm sure Laurie has) but I am going to work on becoming a certified Therapeutic Riding instructor over the next year and a half. I have volunteered at a local therapeutic riding center, where they use horses as therapy for all sorts of disabilities. Friday nights they do Hippotherapy which is physical therapy on horseback. January I will start volunteering there again! Yay! I cannot wait. I absolutely love it! The kids are great and the experience is amazing. Words just cannot accurately describe it!

Morning guys!! This is quite the weekend for me!! Starting today...my last craft show of the season is this afternoon/evening, so I've gotta get things together!!

and as you saw in the other thread, my CD Is out today and we are doing our CD Release concert/party on Sunday afternoon, so I'm freakin' out!! LOL!! (in a good way, of course!!)

so i love you all!!! Yes, Chris!! You are blessed, for sure!!!!

have a WONDERFUL Friday and weekend!! i'll be on tomorrow calming myself from all of my happenings!! LOL!!

You're not the only one who's over emotional, I was telling Clara last night about how my hubby thinks I'm preggo because of all of my moods.

Nana Linda -- Traffic court is RIDICULOUS! I've had friends get off for really bad stuff... yet my BIL was given a moving violation ticket ON HIS BIKE... not motorcycle... but BIKE. The judge ruled that the ticket was wrong because you can't give a moving violation to a bike, but still had to slap on some kind of fine and made him pay bail for himself. All just because he didn't come to a complete stop at a right hand turn on the red.

Linda -- WOOOO FOR THE WEEKEND!!!

Kristy -- Congrats to your little one!!!

ME -- Have fun tonight!!! My hubby's work party is the 10th -- but he can't go, he has to WORK! Ugh!!!

Katrina -- Martha Stewart really is a genius with some of her projects, even though she may not be such a nice person. Congrats with the decision to become a therapeutic riding instructor!

Sally -- WTG!!! Once I get some monies in my paypal I'll be buying your cd!!!!!
 
Well ladies, got some discouraging news yesterday. The in-laws car is going to be more to fix it than its worth... luckily it was a friend who was able to look at it and didn't cost us anything. Ughhh, so we have one car between the four of us right now. Jeff's hoping that we'll be able to finally fix his car, instead of taking it in... it might be a fix he can get me to do.

Today I'm going to finish working on a kit & start working on making a new logo & some blinkies or something. I really need to stick to a branding... it usually takes me four different times to be happy!
 
Hello ladies!!!

So sorry I have been so remiss lately. I like that word remiss so I had to throw it in. So, I have had a migraine for 3 days. i think it is the miss my sister blues migraine. It has been pretty bad. I finally sucked it up yesterday and took a vicodan and took another one today on top of my topomax. School has been a little rough. I got the sad news yesterday that I didn't get on Molly's team last night. Normally not getting on a team is usually no big deal, just a difference in style, or others who have super talents or whatever, but I have drooling over her team for months and months so not getting on her team really bums me out. Any other team I don't get bummed over but this one I'm a little bummed over, but there are bigger problems in the world so I'm moving on. I am very grateful for the teams I am on. I do love them and only apply for designers I adore...I just extra adore Molly. Oh well, I'll just keep stalking her until she adores me too and realizes her mistake.yes you can all roll your eyes at me. :roll:

So, what else is going on in my world?? I just found out my SIL found cancer in her lymph nodes. We're not happy about that. She had cervical cancer. This is the SIL I had you send a package to Chris. She was good a year ago. It just sucks because I know she hasn't had great medical care in Alaska and they haven't had good insurance mostly by choice of where they have lived and lifestyle choices. We offered to let them come and live with us last year so that she could get better medical care and I think two years ago also. Right now they live on a mountain with no electricity and their lifestyle revolves around their hippie life. She is one of the dumbest educated people I know. I love them so much and am so sad for them and just hope that if they make some smart decisions things can go better. I hope if they make dumb decisions things go better. But either way I am praying.

I found out while my sister was here that her boyfriend who she adores is here in the US illegally. She absolutely adores him. It is very interesting because we agree that we don't agree with illegal immigration. And here she is dating and illegal immigrant. She has an appointment with an attorney to see if they have any options. She wanted to know my opinion about it. I told her to go through all of her future plans and as long as he didn't get in the way of any of them and if he did that she wouldn't resent him for stopping her plans to go ahead and go forward with her future with him provided there was a future after meeting with the attorney.

Then the other day I got a call from our renters. They want to break their lease and move out and onto post. they said that the cost of living in Washington was higher than they expected. I told them we would try and work with them depending on how much stress it caused me. The biggest thing is whether I can find a new renter. I should be able to...but we'll see. I like them as renters. they were pretty stress free. But we'll see how it goes. I need to find an officer that is moving there.

I am so ready for a weekend with nothing going on. I need that. no plans to go anywhere or anyone coming in. Just chilling out, finally. Hopefully some scrapping and a little bit of Christmas stuff. I need to paint something for my MIL and some other Christmas projects. I need to place a couple of Christmas orders with my favorite FW apothocary this weekend too this weekend.

Well, time for some personals because it has been far too long...

Chris...I am so sorry you lost that PT work. I'll do my part and place an order for you this weekend. I kinda know what I want. i know I want at least 4 sets of body wash and lotion if not 6 sets. I'll look through later once the vicodan wears off a little bit. i might just let you pick the scents. I'll send you a message when I'm done.

NanaLinda...don't you hate it when court isn't fair? But it always rocks when it isn't fair in your direction. I hate having to pay court fees. I hope you get some rest this weekend. Big hugs for you.

LindaS...Have a fantastic weekend. I'm sure you need it. I hope it is restful.

Kristy - yay for 8 year olds. I adore my 8 year old. It is so fun!!

ME - Enjoy the early holiday party. Even if it is early. great way to get into the holiday spirit. sucks to have to be the designated driver though. I love holiday party food though.

Katrina - Making stuff is fun. Make Matt take the camera back...or tell him it a present for both of you. Let him know it is a nice gesture but in appropriate. If you guys have rules for your money make him follow them. I am trying so hard to follow our money rules this year. The easiest way to follow the credit card rules is to get into his wallet and remove the credit cards and cut them up. Hard to use the credit cards if you don't have them. Derek and I have credit card bills but no credit cards to use. As soon as we had our baby savings we cut up every credit card we had. It was hard but we did it.

Sally - let us know when that CD is on iTunes. Have fun at your release party...you deserve it. Sell out at your last thing this weekend too.

Meg - sucks about the car. Good luck with your kit. I know it will rock.

That's all we can do. This is just the team I've been waiting and waiting for. I love the other teams I am on and I would love to be on her team. So, I guess I will just hope to try for her team in the future, and like I said I will continue to stalk her blog because I do love her designs and wanted on her CT for that reason alone.
