It over.... *wipes sweat from brow*
Oh, thank goodness I don't live in a country that celebrates Boxing Day. I don't think I would survive.
:gravedigger:

I am not built for three days of eating/drinking/and late nights. But family makes it worthwhile.
Tuesday with my previously across the street family- amazing!
Wednesday with my family/Gary's family/BFFs family- amazing!
Thursday with my family and the Samily (Sam's family) - amazing!

That said, I am *exhausted.*

I am going to post this, see if I can catch up with you guys, and then figure out what to do next.

xoxoxoxo!!

So glad to have you back. So glad to know that you had a wonderful time. Sorry that you are exhausted...but such is life. :rotfl: :beatingheart:

Thank you for starting the thread yesterday, Linda! I was indeed flying around trying to deal with time changes. because nothing is ever simple in my family LOL!
My Sis-ILs mom broke her leg last week, so SIL needed to change the times for her Christmas Day. That meant my ILs had to change their plans on coming here, which domino-ed into Caitlyn and Scott's timing so they could see them before they had to leave. Then my dad wasn't feeling well, and wasn't up to coming here with my mom, who needed to adjust times around with my brother. After everything, she got here at the "right" time but had to leave early so she didn't have to drive home too late.
:thud:

Rumor has it (and I'm pretty confident in my source) that we need to get there a little early because I had a niece get engaged last night and we are doing a champagne toast when they walk in!
Congrats!!!!!!
.but I wanted to thank everyone here in the Daily Oooo's for making my life better!
SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To each and every one of you!!!
:hug4:
@faerywings I'll post a few pics of the horses in a bit for sure. I'm loading some decor photos and when that is done I can download a few pics of billy ray and johnie.
:waiting 2:
I can't wait to see them! I bet they are sooo sweet!
DD#3 and her son brought me a turkey dinner with all the trimmings plus pumpkin pie and cherry pie around 5 PM. She was so glad to see I was doing fairly well. I have been using the walker to get around ... just to be on the safe side. Heading for bed and hope I have a restful night.
Oh Kay-- gentle hugs!
You were literally just feeling better with your shoulder, and now this. I am so glad it wasn't worse but still :(

I need to get some coffee and "real" food. Usually, it takes me a couple of days post-holiday to crave real food, but it is hitting me very early this year :p

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy and relaxing day today.

Good morning...I'm with you Chris...I couldn't live where there is boxing day to celebrate. To me, boxing day is going to be boxing up the Christmas tree and finding a place to keep it. Sydney's move home has changed the storage dynamics greatly.

Our Christmas was good. Little kids make everything great...they don't have that constant feeling of sadness. And they got so many gifts...my brother made sure that they had lots of stuff. And I made sure that they had lots of stuff. And, of course, their parents had already made sure that they had lots of stuff. So the theme was...LOTS of STUFF!

We all got there early so that when the newly engaged niece arrived we had champagne toasts for them as they walked in the door. Abby doesn't want to do a traditional wedding...don't think that she wanted one before but with her mom gone, she sure doesn't want one right now. She hasn't decided on a wedding date...although there was some conversation about getting married in 2025 and that way they would do better on taxes. Who knows...everyone is just rolling with it. And they have been together for a couple of years...which means that Trent has been a part of the family for a couple of years.

I'm cooking our traditional Christmas dinner tomorrow when both kids are home. And that is also us just rolling with it. Everyone seems happy with that.

I was a little nervous about that. It's been a long, long time since I started the Daily O's...could I remember the date, could I remember to add Christmas in the title of the thread? Then I thought, you know what, this is my retirement hOme and I'm just going to settle in and go for it.

Morning, all. I am surviving the fall... but, oh my... I am SORE all over. At least I slept fairly well - asleep by 8:30PM and only woke a couple of times to change positions then right back to sleep. This is going to be another PJ day and resting/reading. I have left-overs from the meal that DD#3 brought down last night - so no cooking. I did get the 2 Color Play LOs uploaded around digi-land this morning.

Glad you survived! Now REST!!!

Good morning,
Been awake since 4:30, up since 5:17! I hate it when that happens! However, I got my grocery order done and even picked up before 8 a.m.! WOW! The major reason I made a list was because I needed hamburger for meatloaf later today. So, I had to run into the store and get some of the stuff that wasn't on sale! YIKES! This meatloaf will have gold in it, I think! So we better be careful as we take bites! Actually, I decided to have Salisbury steaks instead, so we have 8 little meatloaves. I will fix baked potatoes and have a salad with it. YUM!
No other real plans for the day. I need to start working on end-of-the-year stuff for church and get next year's missionary checks sent. After the offerings on Sunday, I will work up the tax documents to give to each person who tithed by check. That is the only way I can keep track of it for them! Unless they put cash in an offering envelope.
I need to change the links on my color play layouts that are posted here and around town. Other than that, not much to do. Mark is working at the sawmill with his stepson who is spending the day with us. We are going to let him paint our bathroom so he can earn some money. I'm also letting him have the two 3-tiered boxes I am no longer using for gardening. He likes to do that, so it will save him some money. If I want to grow anything, I think I will try doing it in pots or 5-gal. buckets!
Hope everyone had a nice Christmas and hope you have a good day!

Finally got my new computer up and running. First thing I did was opening Edge, go to Mozilla & install Firefox. Now trying to get the screen settings to look right. Screen is big as a TV compared to my old laptop. I will go insane! I do not like changes.

Not sure I'll dare to try and see if I can install my old PSE11 on this new computer today. If it's not working, I will ..... I don't even know what I'll do.

Text is a bit pixellated (is that even a word?) ... I'm not sure how to fix that.

Christmas has been great. We've just chilled at home, eating, watching the telly & played board games. John has bought so many new games this fall - we're having so much fun. We've played 7 Wonders, Pandemic, Cascadia, Sushi Go, Catan, Azul, and we have even more games to play. I came up with a Christmas 2025 Board Game Tournament that we are doing. Family time is such a wonderful thing!

Urban and I have started from the beginning with Stranger Things, instead of watching the new season. We will finish season 2 this evening, maybe even start on season 3. We felt we didn't remember enough from the older seasons to just watch the final season before watching the old ones first. The kids are so young and cute in the first season!
