Good morning! Merry Christmas to all that celebrate. I know that our sweet @faerywings is flying around making sure that everything is wonderful for her family. So, before I head out, I want to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas or a wonderful holiday. We are headed to my nephew's for brunch. Rumor has it (and I'm pretty confident in my source) that we need to get there a little early because I had a niece get engaged last night and we are doing a champagne toast when they walk in!

I will be back later...but I wanted to thank everyone here in the Daily Oooo's for making my life better!

Very Merry Christmas to you and yours, Linda! How exciting that your niece got engaged on Christmas Eve! Have a great day!

Merry Xmas everyone! I'm only here for a minute, have to get dressed before company starts to arrive in an hour. A friend came over early, we had breakfast together, got the turkey stuffed and in the oven, I got an extra crockpot of stuffing cooking and we'll take a break for a bit before prepping for some of the side dishes. I don't want to have to be in the kitchen too much once all the guests arrive but there are 3 of us to take care of things so shouldn't be too bad.

@faerywings I'll post a few pics of the horses in a bit for sure. I'm loading some decor photos and when that is done I can download a few pics of billy ray and johnie.

I'll be back later.

Popping back in to let you know what happened yesterday afternoon. I was taking a PJ day but my regular slippers had got dirty early in the day so was wearing some flat slippers. Around 3 PM the doorbell rang but when I got to the door - no one was there. Stepped out but couldn't see anyone around.. no package delivery... nothing there. Closed/locked the front door and went back to the family room. About 4-5 minutes later, the doorbell rang again. Thinking it was the same person ringing the bell, I moved faster. Just as I got into the dining room on the way to the front door, the slipper on my left foot caught the end of the long runner and I fell forward banging my left knee and landing face down and hitting both arms and hands. Fortunately, I didn't hit any furniture and landed with my face/arms on the carpet. I pulled myself up, unlocked the door to see DD#3 and her grandson there. Told her I has taken a fall and she helped me back to sit in a kitchen chair. Had a nose bleed plus split the skin on my left knee. DD gathered supplies to clean the knee, meds and band aids and pain meds for me. No broken bones and the wound on the knee did not need to be stitched. I was lucky that it wasn't worse than it was. The left big toe is very tender; left knee is sore and have a slight limp when I walk: slight sprain to left wrist; middle finger on right hand is swollen; and the whole body is slightly sore. Needless to say... those slippers were tossed in the trash... and I had DD roll up the long runner and put it in the office. Won't be putting it back down!!

DD#3 and her son brought me a turkey dinner with all the trimmings plus pumpkin pie and cherry pie around 5 PM. She was so glad to see I was doing fairly well. I have been using the walker to get around ... just to be on the safe side. Heading for bed and hope I have a restful night.

Oh Kay! Those falls are things that worry me the most. I'm so glad that your DD was there to help you. And I'm so glad that she got the runner rolled up and out of there. Hope you can get a good night's sleep tonight...
