Happy Friday the 13th! Happy Friday no matter *what* the number is! Sad to say that spring break is almost over. And yes, I still need a vacation. Eva?? :paris

Good news os that I get a mini-vacation this weekend. As soon as I get home from work today, kids and I and the puppy are off to my mom's house in PA. That means in 12 hours my a$$ is going to be planted on the sofa with a glass of wine in hand wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
I wish that Gary could come with us too, but in some ways it is good for us to get a break from each other. I know he is as sick of me and my moping as I am of him cracking his ankles and complaining about his knees. Good thing we really do love each other!:clap2:

Thanks for the good thoughts on the drs appt. I posted on FB how messed up my auto-immune system is. I am testing high on ANA, Rheumatoid Arthritis and now Lupus. My auto-immune system is shot. She feels that the aches and pains and fatigue and all of the other crap is fibromyalgia as a result of all of the stresses, both biological and environmental on my body. The really, really good news is that she doesn't think the Lyme is active, but she is re-testing me for just about everything to be sure.

That thing that I thought was a icky bony growth is actually a tendon nodule. Whew! She said that cortisone can reduce the swelling and pain, but that also adds to the immune system freak-out, so doesn't recommend it at this point. I didn't ask her how esle to get it better for fear that she would say "stay off your feet." I am guess that would be her response, but i have to work today LOL

For Gary, we are going to try yet again to see if he can get covered for IV rocephin. It was the only thing that helped back in 2007 yet the ins co's won't cover it since he is not CDC positive for chronic lyme. So the bureaucratic fight begins again...... If we can even get one portion of this covered ( we need prescription, PICC line insertion and weekly nurse care for PICC maintenance) we're going to find a way to cover the rest of it ourselves. This poor guy simply cannot live like this. :(

Anyway, that's the ugly low-down on the dr. all for the very low price of $700 out of pocket..... :hurt:

TGIF?????
:faint:

Finish it Friday:
I plan on finishing that whole bottle of wine tonight! (JK!)
((maybe half...))

No worries on the Friday the 13th

Married 57 years today...my parents got hitched on Friday the 13th!!!
So did my grandparents (only in July).....IT'S A GOOD DAY

Just wanted to pop in and say Hi.....

Good morning ladies. It's raining here in Iowa this morning...waking up to thunder. I'm beat. Got a call from my cousin yesterday morning...my uncle passed away. So funeral on Monday.

I picked up the kids from day care last night(which is very good and they keep the kids quite active with soccer and foot races and just active playing) and then hurried home so that Sydney could change into soccer clothes. Had practice (and since we only had 4 girls, Shaun and some of the other brothers got to scrimmage), went to the grocery store to buy our pop and candy bar donations for the school's fun night on Sat (and will need to walk through the rain this morning to drop them off :-) ), got home in time to do homework and finish the laundry that Brian had in the dryer and then drop into bed. Got to love it! No wonder I live for the weekends.

Chris, I am so sorry about the doctor's appointment yesterday...that's a lot of stuff to deal with. I'm so glad that you are headed to your mom's for some TLC tonight. And sure hope that you can work something out with the insurance company for Gary.

 Morning all...notice I'm up early AND writing?

I didn't go to sleep til 1a.m. Dick went to Starbucks yesterday to get his coffee (Sumatran which I think is a wretched bitter brew, but hey..I'm a tea drinker for the most part). I asked him to use one of our 'free drink' coupons and get me some kind of caramel frou-frou. He did and I had said...Oh don't bother if it's not decaf. Oh silly me...

So last night I read, and did more cutting and corner chopping of some digi things I printed for some 'real' Project Life pages. I almost think it takes me longer to do one page this way rather than digitally. It may also be that I don't add any embellishments other than journaling to my 4x6 photos and then I try to cut out some of the 'printed on cardstock' embellishments which reminds me I am NOT a great hand with scissors ...or needles...or such handwork kinda stuff. kwim? :eyebrows:

Friday the 13th? My Nana was born on a Fri the 13th and I loved her so I think of it as a Good Day.

Anyhow, today the big project is move the many things in my studio so Dick and I can get to the window that gets the room airconditioner. I had wanted a bed in here but when my daughter suddenly came we had two days notice to get one, and when she left...the living room was not the place for it. Thus I have a bed that I was not ready for either! I like it but I need to get rid of things and you know how hard that is...especially craft things! :blabla:

cya'll later.

Hi Linda!!!

And Dumpty, read about your day yesterday! I'm glad that Chris and Eva were around to give such good advice. The teen years need their own smiley...but in this case, it would need to be a frowney. Hope that the two of you have a really good talk and weekend!

Good morning Maureen! It sounds like you have quite a day ahead of you. Perhaps you will need another caramel frou-frou to get through it! :-)

Chris, here is an explanation of some energy work, JinShinJyutsu, you or anyone else can do to boost the immune system. The numbers are the actual #s of the Safety Energy Locks similar to Accupuncture or Acupressure points. I can also help you remember what to do..3-15, 3-25...in time.

In words, it's hold you Right hand over your Left shoulder touching the top of your scapula, the triangle shaped 'wing bone' (3). With your Left hand, place it over the crease where your Left leg meets your trunk (15).

In time with some occasional deep breaths you will feel the pulse on both places become clear and fall into a coordinated rhythm. Don't worry (as if you do...LOL) about it, just relax and know your body can help itself. Try for at least 5 minutes.

Then, keeping the Right hand on the top of the Left 'wing bone' (3), move your Left hand down to your left rear end, where the base of the ischium, the 'sits' bone is (25). Try for 5 minutes here also.

I do this when in bed at night and usually fall asleep before I get to the other side which is just the reversal of the hands and sides.

I hope this is understandable. Email me if you have any ?s at my user name at verizon.net. HTH!

Ok ... I'm addicted to this commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iY80kIKmCc&feature=relmfu ADORABLE

The daddy here in the commercial is Frank - he's the "spokesperson" for Tele2 - Swedish mobile phone service. It's a play with words: sheep/cheap (both usually pronunced like sheep by most Swedes). The baby was adopted in the previous commercial here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iY80kIKmCc&feature=relmfu

Can you be addicted to a commercial? I'm sure is - and I don't have either Tele2 or Samsung ... I have Telia and Sony Ericsson LOL
