Here we go, my first "real" Daily Ooos post in the new forum. Yesterday's was more of a short note rather than the novel I typically write. I think I was so overwhelmed by being back I didn't know how to say it all. Ha!
I will read through everyone's posts next so I don't know what everyone was up to the past few weeks just yet. I am excited to catch up! In my life of the last few weeks, it has been an "interesting" mix of nothing and all-too-much. *eye roll* Obviously, the situation with Ray was very emotional and stressful. The last week of her life was spent trying to get her to eat and drink while cleaning up poop and puke. It was like having a baby in the house again and I was getting about the same amount of sleep. W was having a difficult time of it too, she really noticed that Ray was not well and after she died, W would lie on the floor staring at the spot where her bed used to be.
Gary and Scott had a bunch of Drs appts- Gary's stomach was such a mess that he finally made an appt with a GI Dr- he doesn't think it is Crohn's (Thank goodness!) but probably diverticulitis/-osis. he has some more tests coming up this month. Scott has had a severe sore throat for 6 weeks now, it started before NYE. He has been at Drs a couple of times a week and no one is sure exactly what is causing it. He had an u/s that showed a cyst on his thyroid but it isn't affecting its function, endoscopy showed nothing, next up is an MRI to rule out any growths. He found out yesterday that he has a deviated septum which was ironic since Leah had surgery at the same time to repair her severe deviated septum. As of last night, she was not doing too well at home, throwing up and in lots of pain. I wish I could help her. Cait seems to be doing OK with her health *knocks wood long and loud* Her allergies seem to be better since Gary redid the floor and her allergy shots started. Still no sign of COVID vax for any of us. My parents got their first shots and my ILs get theirs on the 9th. I am so excited for them.
As for me, I have been struggling but the stress over Ray is lower and I am sleeping somewhat better. The days are getting longer too and that helps even if the snow doesn't.
Did ya miss me and all of my excitement? LOL!!!
xoxo

But it has to be done, we are getting pretty low on supplies. So I won't be here much today. Still trying to find my way around the site. Because it was such a beautiful day yesterday, I decided to wash the car in the sunshine. It was so nice to be out in the fresh air! It won't stay nice and shinny for too long though as we will be getting more rain. Sorry for not doing personals today, but I just had to pop in here to say hey and hope that all of you will have a lovely Saturday!
LOL! In the interest of fairness, I have to clarify that I'm not taken from my baby's time, but from my sleeping hours. To scrap a layout usually takes me around 3 hr too, so it's not so bad. It's totally into my hobbies time frame. I'm mark to share some cool gardening tips and some observations on my Insomnia, at some of the next days, but let's start slowly and not make my post with a novel size!

Well that is what she wants this week at least. Then she wanted to chat with her Grandpa, I was smiling as they talked for almost a half hour! She is a chatterbox and she adores her Grandpa T!! So nice! Anyway this morning we will bottle a red wine and have some brunch and then I am cleaning and doing laundry. Also finishing my page for sure! Its nice because I have a few pages that I have been wanting to get done. I think maybe my mojo has returned to me at last!
