Here we go, my first "real" Daily Ooos post in the new forum. Yesterday's was more of a short note rather than the novel I typically write. I think I was so overwhelmed by being back I didn't know how to say it all. Ha!
I will read through everyone's posts next so I don't know what everyone was up to the past few weeks just yet. I am excited to catch up! In my life of the last few weeks, it has been an "interesting" mix of nothing and all-too-much. *eye roll* Obviously, the situation with Ray was very emotional and stressful. The last week of her life was spent trying to get her to eat and drink while cleaning up poop and puke. It was like having a baby in the house again and I was getting about the same amount of sleep. W was having a difficult time of it too, she really noticed that Ray was not well and after she died, W would lie on the floor staring at the spot where her bed used to be.

Gary and Scott had a bunch of Drs appts- Gary's stomach was such a mess that he finally made an appt with a GI Dr- he doesn't think it is Crohn's (Thank goodness!) but probably diverticulitis/-osis. he has some more tests coming up this month. Scott has had a severe sore throat for 6 weeks now, it started before NYE. He has been at Drs a couple of times a week and no one is sure exactly what is causing it. He had an u/s that showed a cyst on his thyroid but it isn't affecting its function, endoscopy showed nothing, next up is an MRI to rule out any growths. He found out yesterday that he has a deviated septum which was ironic since Leah had surgery at the same time to repair her severe deviated septum. As of last night, she was not doing too well at home, throwing up and in lots of pain. I wish I could help her. Cait seems to be doing OK with her health *knocks wood long and loud* Her allergies seem to be better since Gary redid the floor and her allergy shots started. Still no sign of COVID vax for any of us. My parents got their first shots and my ILs get theirs on the 9th. I am so excited for them.

As for me, I have been struggling but the stress over Ray is lower and I am sleeping somewhat better. The days are getting longer too and that helps even if the snow doesn't. ;)

Did ya miss me and all of my excitement? LOL!!!
xoxo

I get to use the new -@- feature!

@Marleen It is great to be back!

@BrightEyes Kay, how awesome to be back in your routine of coffee and the O! I swear that part of my brain fog/lack of time awareness was not being here and confronting the calendar every day. How are you and the family all doing? How is your finger, better yet?

@LSlycord Linda S!!! I heard the good news!!!! *looks again at the badge under your profile* Congrats on being back on the Team! I love the new avi too. Sarcasm is my superpower too :)

@taxed4ever Trudy- That is too bad about your hiking group not being able to meet, is it b/c of COVID or weather or both? It has been way too cold to walk here not to mention the roads are still bad and we are getting more snow tomorrow. I am happy that you have been able to get out and about with your Gary. Daffodils already!? I am jealous and horrified at the same time. Gary's brother gave us his old snowblower a couple of weeks ago and my Gary was also waiting impatiently for it to snow. He sure as heck got his wish. Hmmph. I will happily send you any of the snow we are getting tomorrow- another 6" possibly.

@scrap-genie Jean- Thanks for the hugs. Always appreciated. I was chatting with Rita the other day and her tank looks so neat with your painting on top. In fact, she loves it so much- seeing it with all eight of her eyes- that she put down some web the other day too! ROTFLMAO

@felis You look awesome in your avatar! Did you see that there is a way to save drafts when you post? (top right icon next to the box that says preview if you didn't) Maybe that will make it easier for you as you translate. Thanks so much for the hugs, even when it is expected, it is still sad to let them go.
How is Middleton doing? And Tiny? And all of the cats?

@nancyr Hey Nancy! Are you ready for more snow? I think you might get a lot more than us unless you are closer to the coast and it is more rain/sleet. I am so happy for you that you got your shot! There seems to be no rhyme or reason who can get them, you just have to be in the right place at the right time/log into the appt websites at the right time. The house isn't all that much more quiet w/o Ray since she never barked once she lost her hearing and the other two dogs are still as crazy as usual. Have you been getting any good pics of Luther in the snow?

@Cherylndesigns - how is the house coming along? The really stinks about the wifi. *grumbles* I hope that they get out to you soon, what a pain. How is Daisy?

@Kythe What books have you been reading? Caitlyn got me Good and Mad by Rebecca Traister about female anger and its role in politics and it is fascinating but angering. heh. I am also reading a murder mystery for "lightness." haha!!
I am jealous of you too for getting bulbs popping up! I have made a few masks myself, usually starting with one from a kit, then adding and erasing bits. What process do you use?

Have a fantastic day!

Good morning Miss Chris @faerywings! Oh my goodness, I am drinking out of the firehose here. So many beautiful layouts in the gallery and so much to figure out! I'm like a little kid in the candy store! I spent 3 hours reading threads last night. It is so funny because Sydney wanted to know what I was doing. Sydney will be 17 in March so she is quite able to entertain herself but she is often my shadow. Well I told her, I've become a Cheery-O and explained. I got a big eyeroll! Because nothing should ever be my focus besides her. LOL

This new site is just amazing! I can't believe how much work went into this upgrade. I'll be back in later.

Ah... so good to be to a normal morning... drinking my 1st cup of coffee as I pop in here to see what is going on with the O's. :) Have to admit that I spent a lot of time here yesterday getting caught up on the new LOs in the gallery...oh, my... so many wonderful ones. Think a lot of us were still scrapping while the site was closed. While I was looking around here yesterday, I managed to get all my laundry done and put away. Didn't get any other chores done as I was having too much fun playing here at the Os.

Chris, YIKES... that is a lot of snow to deal with and more on the way! So sorry to hear about Gary's and Scott's health problems. Will be keeping them in my thoughts and hoping the doc's can figure out what is going on with them.
As for me, my fingernail finally grew out enough that I could clip off the torn part. So glad to have it healed up so now I can type with that finger again! Doing well healthwise thank goodness. Got an update message from the Health Dept that I am on the 1-B list still - the state is working down the list as vaccines come available. Glad I didn't have to do a call in - we just had to go to the state website and sign up... which I did several weeks ago.

Linda, so glad to have you back on the team. LOL over Sydney's reaction. Yes, the fur babies think they come first in their owner's lives.

Trudy, can't believe you have bulbs sprouting already!!! I have some Daylily bulbs that need to be planted but need to get some potting soil first. Since the pots in the front yard got stolen last year, I will be planting the bulbs in the pots in the backyard. Only have 2 out there right now but have a couple more I can put back there - just have to put them where the driplines can be accessed. Can do 2 bulbs in the 3 of the pots and 3 in the larger one.

Nancy, so glad you got your shot already. More snow for you, too ?? We could sure use it - especially in the mountains. The state is still in a drought condition.

Cheryl, sure hope that you can get better WiFi soon. Must be a PITA to have to go down to the other house to do your downloads and uploads.

Felis, great new avatar.

The coffee cup is empty so off to get a refill and browse around the site for awhile.

good morning - it is so nice to be able to start to catch up with you all. This afternoon I am off to get a hair cut. I am no longer coloring my hair. It makes it so easy to take care off as I have it short. Thirty minutes and I am in and out. I am still navigating the site. Love the gallery. So fun to see the new pages again. So last spring my 2 girlfriends I went with to Alaska set up a trip to AZ. Well of course we had to cancel but we decided to take a chance and leave it booked for this spring. Well it turns out by March 1 all of us will have had the two shot vaccine so we have decided to go ahead. Of course we will still be wearing our masks and hand washing but the thing about AZ in the spring is that most if not all of the activities will be outdoors. I so need this to look forward too. Since this is not until May I am hoping that more vaccines will be done so it will be ok. But I am also ok if things get worse with cancelling. I am not going to risk my health. We are under a winter storm warning with another 3-5 inches of snow Sunday but at least it will be a fast moving storm! We still have over 6 inches on the ground. Running out of spots to put the snow.

Chris yes it seems like I will get more snow than you from his storm. But I like snow so I am ok. And so glad your parents and in-laws have gotten or are getting the shots. You are so right about there not being any rhyme or reason how to get an appointment. I wish there was more transparency in like how many doses where give to each county. I feel like some are being short changed. I guess most are going to the Mega sites which I guess is correct. But what I hated seeing are places that have slots but you cant get because you don't like in that county. My DH and my girlfriend have been trying and no luck. So sorry about Gary's and Scott's health problems. Hope the Drs figure out soon. My sister always says "doctors practice" and she wishes they did more that just practice. LOL I am sure that you dogs noticed that Ray was sick and is not their anymore. So so sorry so hard! Glad that Cait is so much better about the room upgrade.

Linda congrats on team. Have fun.

Kay NJ has a website to register but as I said it is hard to see how some were chosen to get the invite to make a reservation and some were not. I would think you should be high on the eligibility list. Hope it happens soon. Have fun with bulbs. My sister says AZ has been getting rain surprised it has not come your way. And it is so fun to see the pages in the gallery.

Waving to all!

Morning ladies... We are off to the do the dreaded Costco Run o_O But it has to be done, we are getting pretty low on supplies. So I won't be here much today. Still trying to find my way around the site. Because it was such a beautiful day yesterday, I decided to wash the car in the sunshine. It was so nice to be out in the fresh air! It won't stay nice and shinny for too long though as we will be getting more rain. Sorry for not doing personals today, but I just had to pop in here to say hey and hope that all of you will have a lovely Saturday!

Just a quick HI from me. Had a genealogical committee meeting this morning and we're sponsoring a program on Civil War research in a few minutes. All via Zoom of course. We have a few inches of snow but it is sunny and cold, going to be colder. So good to see you all again.

@CHRIS, I'll start with your question - we're still trying to get settled in and organized. SO much to do. We're plugging along and VERY happy in our new home. I'll try to update my album soon for all of you. I'm so sorry for your loss and that your guys are having stomach issues. SO happy that Gary does not have Crohn's That's an "at least" it isn't that! We've had experience with that - my youngest had IBD and the kids who had Crohn's. They had a lot worse side effects than she did. "Moon Face" being one of them.
@scrap-genie I'm sure you're looking forward to your geneology Zoom meeting - that is SO cool that you're involved in that! I wish I'd gotten involved with mine a long time ago. I'm playing catch-up now and unfortunately, everybody who know anything is gone. :(
@taxed4ever I hear you about the dreaded run. I just wish we had a Costco or Sam's here. All we have is Walmart, or online. Have fun in the sunshine.
@nancyr yay for the new haircut! Mine's super long, but carefree like yours. Just wash and let air dry.
@BrightEyes Yes, it's a ROYAL PITA to not have real wifi! They keep promising that it's coming, but yikes, I do miss it!
@slkendall welcome, welcome, welcome!! I can't wait to get to know you better!

I LOVE this @ function, BTW!!! It's awesome!! I'm so used to it from other boards and it makes our lives so much easier. I'm SO glad to be back with all of you and I might be "hampered" for awhile on the downloads/uploads, but I'll BE HERE!!!

Jean, you are so busy. I hope that the program on Civil War research went well. I believe that I have an ancestor that was at Andersonville Prison during the Civil War. I need to dig out some of my records. What a very hard time that must have been for everyone.

Good evening Trudy. We haven't done a Costco run for a year....my membership is about to expire. We used to love them, although my favorite was the food samples and now that they don't have those and Costco is quite a drive so I'm thinking about letting the membership go.

Nancy, I completely hear you when you say that you need the trip to look forward to. We are planning to go back to Iowa for a week this summer...I really need to see family and friends. I'm hoping that by then we will be able to travel safely. My niece is going to do my daughter's senior photos so we need to get back there.

Kay, someone stole your pots with plants? How bold is that? What is wrong with people. Ugh....

Good morning, my dears!
Please bear with me for a few days, I'm not used much my english during site was down and now feel it so rough! I absolutely love all the new things at the forum, hooray O team! I'm used to manage the new things very quick and I think I was one of the first posting at the new gallery. Now to link layout is so much easier! Bravo O team! I miss the smiles, like few of you also mentioned, but love everything else, it's worth it! Soon will spend more time into the gallery, as I'm so excited over the new options for comments and like. But right now we have unusual warm weather and there is much to do into my garden, before winter to shows back. ;)
When I didn't scraped I get addicted to Instagram. Now I'm proudly know terms on english like polytunnel, green houses, cold frames. Things I wasn't sure how to translate before. I can't say that I'm enjoying the process of gardening too much, it's more like I do it because that is what is expected by someone living in country and having garden. But sharing my gardening results is something that brings me lots of joy with sure! IG have a lovely group of girls exchanging seeds, but I was good and followed your advises to not take part on this! My record was spending 3 and half hours!!! I calculate that in this day I was spend only 3 hours in care for my own cats, but 3,5h to watch other people cats. :p LOL! In the interest of fairness, I have to clarify that I'm not taken from my baby's time, but from my sleeping hours. To scrap a layout usually takes me around 3 hr too, so it's not so bad. It's totally into my hobbies time frame. I'm mark to share some cool gardening tips and some observations on my Insomnia, at some of the next days, but let's start slowly and not make my post with a novel size!

@faerywings Chris, hahaha, nice try, but I'm not that kind of *itch to rub my happiness into the face of suffering friend, you can't catch me! My kiddos are all good, thats all I'll share for now! I deeply sorry for your pain! Wish it was possible to say something that to makes you feels better, but there isn't such a thing! I'm not surprised that both of your boys are feeling ill, stress unlock so many things. Hope they will get better soon!

@LSlycord Linda, congrats for the Cheery-O ! Hope that Sydney will not be to bother too much by that!

@BrightEyes Kay, nice to hear that your finger is healing! OMG, someone is stolen your pots, what a jerk! I'm always confused how you can live without fences even after Nancy tries to explain me this multiple times my brain just refuse to get used to this idea! Thank you for the compliment about my avi, I decided that the new beginning deserve new presentation.
What you are reading at the moment? Are you ever read "Us" by David Nicholls? And if so what you think about it? I need to hear opinion from someone that is married and have experience, as I hmm... will not give a spoilers, books worth it, but I'm disagree with some points.

@nancyr Nancy, I'm so happy to hear you having travel plans! I hate how people are agree to paused their life, as it's not a big deal to loose few years. My sister plan to come home for Easter and if is able to make her vaccination then. It's very complicated how to travel you needs test even if you are vaccinated, but she hopes this to change when more people gets their. She don't meet seriously trouble to fly, even she has to limited it just to necessary visits, but more because of the tests money cost, not from fear. It's unjustified fear as on travel you contacts with less strangers than in shopping center, and people are way more pedantic. So I'm pretty sure that everything gonna be all right with your vacation!

@taxed4ever Trudy, enjoy your shopping!I'm not been on a grocery or a restaurant from ages and probably will feels like an alien. Hope that your hiking group will get together at some moment soon!
Did boys finally get back to school? Was so nice to can chat at real time with you, but I was worried that maybe I'm taken too much of your time, and also that I can't write fast enough!

@scrap-genie Jean, what the sponsoring a program mean? You will help other people's research or will recovery some kind of records and documents?

@Cherylndesigns Cheryl, congrats for the little treasure!!! It is so cute! I still have no idea how to pronounce this name, but it's so cute that it's printed on the blanket! Did they lives near to you and you can see the baby?

@Kythe Kythe, daffodils wow, it's too early here we are still on snowdrops.

@felis, she's SO cute, even though I haven't seen her in real life yet. Her name is pronouned "Kin-Lee" if that helps. They just spelled it differently (Kinleigh). No, they don't live near us - they live in the state of Michigan, which is a two day drive or a day's plane ride away. She's the baby daughter of my 22 year old grandson, Jordan. She looks exactly like my grandson looked when he was born. Here's a fairly new picture for all of you to see. I just got some brand new ones today, but they're still on my phone. She was born on 1-29.

Happy Sunday!
How are all of you today? I am staring out the window waiting for the snowflakes to fall. I had a few mugs of coffee already but I still cannot seem to warm up. It has been frigid. Yesterday was the first day in a while that we got above freezing. At least I have nowhere I have to be today (or any day for that matter LOL). What in the world am I going to do when I actually have places to be on a regular basis?
In spite of being tired and cold, I was in a decent mood yesterday. Getting more sleep is a big part of it. The other nice thing is that Caitlyn has a crush and seems to be pretty darn happy about it. She has been texting and talking to a guy that she dated in Middle School. They seem to have a lot in common- I think they broke up way back then because he moved out of town- not because they didn't get along. But he is vegan and loves animals. He owns chickens and sends her videos of them. I know how isolated and lonely she has been so it makes this mama's heart happy that she is. Will anything come of this? Who knows but she is enjoying having someone to talk to.

Leah is doing a bit better, she stopped throwing up thank goodness. Scott will go down to visit her when she is up to it and I will send some flowers down with him. No idea when he will go but I know he misses her and has been worried. He cracked me up last night-- said that her eyes hurt and can't spend a lot of time on a screen. He texts her occasionally and asks her only to "react" to it so he knows she is alive. Wonder where he gets the anxiety from?

Not much else happening here, Cait hasn't had too much homework yet and no complicated appts with her students yet since they are just getting back to classes too. We started a puzzle on Friday afternoon and are almost finished with it. We will do that today and I might have to start the next one on my own since she is going to start to get busier soon. I need to start my grocery shopping order too. Last week's was totally off. I was able to put some stuff together on Sunday but when I went to finish it on Monday, it had already been pushed over and couldn't be edited. I somehow ended up with 5 dozen eggs!!! Bwuahahah!!! Not much else but we will be having scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, egg salad, and omelets for a while! ;) @taxed4ever I am so darn happy that I got the egg steamer after you recommended it to me!

Have a fab day, dear Ooos!

Quick question for you all, do you prefer me to use the -@- feature here, just your name, both, or doesn't matter either way? I don't want to inundate everyone with alerts!

@LSlycord Linda- Seems like Sydney has perfected the Teenage Eye Roll. What would we moms do without that? You look like you are settling in!

@BrightEyes Kay- the Gallery is amazing, almost too much goodness to enjoy it all. I love having the Like feature for LOs in case I don't have enough time to write a full comment. That is great news that your finger is finally healing. I would gladly trade you snow for spring bulb planting. Although the drought isn't going to be good for them this summer. :(

@nancyr Good for you for not coloring your hair. Mine hasn't been cut or colored since before Christmas 2020. I keep thinking that I should do something with it but I am not comfortable spending two hours inside to get it done. that is fantastic news that you will be *fingers crossed* making the trip to AZ! It has to feel great to have something to look forward to. Will you be able to meet up with your sister when you are there?
The snow just started here (9 am) and it should move through fast. Hope it does the same for you. My dad got his shot at a mega-site, my ILs are going to Essex County even though they live in Morris, and my mom got hers through Atlantic Health. Then I found out my SIL went to register and got an appt right then and there, yet my brother - super high risk between diabetes, overweight, and scarring in his lungs can't find anything. Seriously- it makes no sense. SMH

@taxed4ever Trudy- did you survive Costco? Hope the car stays clean at least for a few days!

@scrap-genie the genealogy meeting must have been fascinating. Did you get any good tips? Are you watching the Super Bowl tonight? Enjoy it if you are!

@Cherylndesigns It was a relief when the GI said not Crohn's. We think that the Lyme inflammation is what set off the markers that showed up in his blood work, same as how I test positive for Rheumatoid Arthritis. He still has no idea what is causing the pain and how to fix it but hopefully, he will know more in a few weeks. Let us know when you update your album so we can see the progress of the house.

Linda and Jean- it has to be neat knowing that your family has been here for a long time. Both sides of mine didn't come to the US until the turn of the century, the late 1800s/very early1900s.

@felis I hope that the new site will make it easier to comment too, were you able to find the Save Draft icon? How exciting that you can be out in the nicer weather and to think about gardening. I would love to hear any gardening tips you have. I am very happy that your babies are doing good, give them belly rubs and extra treats from Aunt Chris! <3

Cheryl- congrats on the new baby!!! I hope that you get to see her someday soon.

xoxo

@faerywings glad that Cait has re-connected with that boy. The isolation is hard on kids...who am I kidding, it is hard on everyone. But the fact that we had recently moved to a new state while Syd and Shaun are still in high school has really prevented them from making friends. I'm anxious for them to get to college in the fall...I'm hoping that they make some friends there. Fingers crossed that the classes can all be in person.

@felis I let the Florida winter kill most of my plants. It got dryer than I realized and then we had a couple of hard frosts and I wasn't prepared. But we are now heading into upper 60s and lower 70s (Fahrenheit) with no more of this cold nonsense predicted. So I'm about ready to add the flowers back to my pots.

@Cherylndesigns that great granddaughter is a cutie. I had a great nephew born in November. Just got a report that he is 15 1/2 pounds at 10 weeks...he is already in 6 month clothes. Oh my...planning a trip back to Iowa this summer but would have gone back at Christmas to see him if it weren't for the darned conditions of the country. Hoping it is better soon.

good morning - just got back from a long walk with Luther in the snow. It started here around 8:30 am and is still snowing. But it is big fluffy flakes and not windy or that cold. It was so fun and so beautiful. It looks so much better now that this new snow covers up the old snow! It should be done by dinner time. Yesterday was fun as my DH brought Luther and they met me as I walked home from the hair cut store. Then came home and watched hockey. My son came over as he forgot cheese at the store and wanted to borrow ours. How funny is that. We did have sugar so he came over and we had a nice talk. He is enjoying his new job which is still a mechanic but now at a different dealership. It is a longer commute but the people in the shop are starting to get to know each other. And he is happier and less stressed. So happy for him. Today is more hockey in the afternoon before the Super Bowl. My Devils should be over their lockdown and the game will be Feb. 16. Whew it will be great to have them playing again.

Chris hope you don't get a lot of snow but so far we are getting more than they predicted and it does not seem to be slowing down but maybe as we are closer to the ocean it will be more for us. That is cute that Cait has started talking to a former beau. It is nice to connect. Sure hope Leah feels better. It cannot be fun throwing up. I am sure that Scott's visit will cheer her up! Have fun with the puzzle!

felis so glad that you are having good weather and can think about gardening! All I see is white!

Trudy hope the trip to Costco went well.

Jean have fun with the genealogy!

Cheryl so glad the new house is going well even if slow! The new baby is a cutie! I cant believe it is a great granddaughter.

As so many of you are part of the site - I would gladly post photos of snow but I don't know if it is possible to do from a iphone or computer. With all the upgrades you all have with the new site is there a way to do this I would love to know. thanks

Have a great day!

Morning O-zies!! It is a sunny clear blue sky kind of morning, but my oh my the temps have sure dropped!!! It's downright chilly out there! Thats what I get for bragging about our mild winter LOL!! Well our trip to Costco worked out much better than we had anticipated! There was no line up, the store was not busy and we were in and out of there in record time! However our first stop was to Micheals where I had to look for a bunch of wool for my sister. She is still very busy making lots of toques and selling them quickly!! So I talked with her on the phone while I was in the store and managed to get everything that she wanted except for one colour of pink. I have no clue about a wool. I used to knit a bit, but haven't done so in years! Not sure I would take it up again as the price of wool sure has risen since I was knitting!! But who am I kidding?? The price of everything to do with crafting has skyrocketed! I actually started a layout yesterday afternoon and hope to complete it this morning. Halfway through I got a lovely phone call from Sadie (granddaughter), she just wanted to chat for a bit, so we talked all about how she is enjoying being back at school and how much she loves to exercise now....What??? when did this happen LOL. She told me that she wants a treadmill for her birthday  Well that is what she wants this week at least. Then she wanted to chat with her Grandpa, I was smiling as they talked for almost a half hour! She is a chatterbox and she adores her Grandpa T!! So nice! Anyway this morning we will bottle a red wine and have some brunch and then I am cleaning and doing laundry. Also finishing my page for sure! Its nice because I have a few pages that I have been wanting to get done. I think maybe my mojo has returned to me at last!

@faerywings - I am trying out this new feature today and certainly do not mind that you are using it! I think its fun to see the notice at the top of the page! Had to laugh about all the eggs that you got in your grocery order. I am happy that you have the egg cooker!! I just love mine! At least eggs are almost the perfect food, they contain every vitamin, except vitamin C. Hope your next order goes better for you! Sorry that Leah has been so sick, sure hope that Scott can get to see her soon! Sending flowers with her would be so nice of you!! Good luck with the puzzle making and how wonderful to hear that Cait has re-connected with this young man again! Hopefully something will become of it! I am sure that she is feeling very isolated, but then I suppose so are so many other young people. It has to be very hard for the younger crowd, to not be able to be with their friends!

@nancyr - Your snowfall sounds dreamy! I love those big fluffy flakes that cover the ground in a blanket of fresh white and how they look on the branches of the big trees! Just discovered a new feature of how it gives you a notice when someone else has posted here while you are still posting and you can view it!! How cool is that!! As for adding photos I think that if you click on the little icon next to the camera you can insert an image from your computer and then you can post it along with your reply here. Hope that works for you! Hope you will enjoy your hockey and football today! We will be watching the big game also.

@felis - Nice that you can start thinking about gardening, I was feeling like that last week, but I know that we are in for much more winter to come. Oh and yes the boys start back to school on Monday. Heather is a very happy Momma!! There have been no recorded cases of Covid where she is so it just did not make any sense that their school district could not be attending classes when places like Ottawa and Toronto have been back to school for weeks (crazy!!).

@BrightEyes - It is so nice to hear that your finger is finally healing! You will be able to plant those bulbs without worrying about the pain and getting dirt on your poor finger! I have seen you are doing lots of scrapping and enjoy looking at your lovely pages!

@scrap-genie - How great that you are very busy with your genealogy, too bad that your research has to be done by Zoom still. I bet you are finding it very interesting though!

@LSlycord - Oh I remember those eye rolls!! I am sure my daughter still does it when we talk LOL. Hope you are having fun with being back to the other side of the O!! Sure nice to have you with us again! Enjoy creating your beautiful pages again!

@Cherylndesigns - Wow a great granddaughter!!! What a cutie pie she is! Congrats to you and your whole family! Such a sweet addition to the family!

Well I better get to the shower and get going with my day. I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

Good morning, Ozies!

@faerywings I want to raise my hand that I LOVE the @ feature! I'm so used to using it at another site and it's the best way to "tag" somebody.

Thank you ALL!! for the well wishes on my great granddaughter! How can I be old enough to be a Great Gramma??? LOL I whipped up a little collage for all of you to see Kinleigh. She's changed SO much in just a few days.

@taxed4ever isn't it awful how the prices have skyrocketed? I can hardly believe it! One of the granddaughters and I decided to do some non-digi crafting and oh my goodness - I've spent SO much money!

@nancyr I'll bet your snow walk was wonderful. We've only had one snow here and I loved it.

@slkendall isn't it weird to be a "great"? I used to think "the greats" were these really old people. Of course, back in the day people looked old even though they weren't.

@faerywings I sure hope that Gary can figure out what and how to eat - if that will help and I'm sure it will. Diet has been a big issue with my youngest dd (who's not 45) but she developed IBD when she was 14. They were sure she had Crohns but we were relieved that she didn't. I just added a few more pictures to my album - me hanging my flag on the front of the house - HAVE to have my American flag! I also got a new bed - my sleigh bed finally "died" - this last move did her in. LOL I also got my wild mustang picture hung, too. Here's a link - not sure when you last saw my album. I've added some indoor pictures. Oklahoma Home

I promise not to bombard you all with pictures, but here's a collage of Kinleigh from her birth to the latest - I've gotten more, but her mom isn't the greatest photographer. LOL My grandson is, but he's not always there. My oldest dd (Jordan's mom) and my oldest gd (Ava) are flying to Michigan the first of March to see her. I'm still too afraid of Covid to get on a plane. They've both had it and have had the antibody test and supposedly they can't get it again. I'm not sure if I'm trusting that theory or not.

Tomorrow I will not talk to these of you that show off with snow!!! Except if you promise to send me some.
It's just not fair I love it so much, but we don't have!!! Yes I'm much into the garden mood and how can I not be, as it feels so much like a Spring. We don't have green house, I guess no one in my family is too passionate about that. But also I'm never see my grandmothers to use it. We have cold frame or just put the seeds directly at the ground when frost ends. Also often we bought ready seedlings, and support really nice, kind ladies which use their hobby for some additional money around Easter, wich makes both sides happy. But, oh my, this year I saw so many great ideas for preparing seedlings so I may be will try some of them. So it looks like we aren't able to add photos directly from our computers, but I strongly recommend this Instagram to these of you who are interested, as Carla is fabulous gardener! She is made portable greenhouse, from big plastic box, how cool is that! Or another great idea by Megan Chan is mimi polytunnel from reused plastic bags! :D:eek:
Ok, ok, enough for gardening, I promise to not bored you repeating myself! Tomorrow I'll talk for other subject, but only on these of you that send me some snow. LOL!

I will not use the alert function here, I want everybody to feel free to skip my post if they found it too confused and harassed grammatically! My apologies!

Chris, what a lovely news about Cait, fingers crossed something to come from that story, but it is not necessarily always everything to be serious, she deserve some positive emotions!
Poor Leah! I often see her Stories (I saw the snow!) and her art. Health wishes for her too! Hehe, thematic eggs week actually sounds fun.
Oh, yes I saw the draft function, it's so cool! But I love even more that for directly bookmark of posts. This allows me to save some important info as where people live, or their family members name, things which I'm often not able to spell correct.
I gave your message and you have purring in answer! Hug!

Cheryl, I just love to see these photos! Oh, Kinleigh is pronounced like a bird sound so melodic! There are three grammatical genders in my language: masculine, feminine and neuter. And all babies are ''it'' , kids too, (also the dog, but cat is in feminine lol). I'm never sure did people likes or not they kids to be determined by gender, modern parents confused me, so I wait they to give me sign! She's SO cute! OMG, I know for so many people who made lockdown babies, it's so crazy *giggling* .

Linda, you shouldn't sorry for your lost plants, look on that as chance to try new kinds. My family is fan of yearly seeds. This allow us to try different arranging and to use the space most functional. So do you have only pots flower or garden too?

Nancy, I'm jealous for the snow! Was thought seriously to not talk to you :p, but then decided to left it for tomorrow as Trudy's post reminds me to ask you something. What actually happened with your knitting afghan project? Did I miss the finish photos or it's still in progress? And other thing, is that the son's job that needs more driving? How he is used to that?

Trudy, I feel your pain, darling! After I wasn't able to find the yarn for my sister scarf I ordered it again and the difference in prices hurts! This will end as very expensive item, I'm not sure that it wasn't better to get her one from luxury brand, but she is more boho style girl and prefer handmade stuff. Sadie is my favorite kid of yours! That's the girl with cat in mouse blanket, can she be so grown up for treadmill?! Unbelievable! I'm hearing from few celebrities that Podium fitness bike is a huge thing now, very fancy and with interactive platform. I guess home fitness is the new trend, and I'm not surprised.
You're not the only one, the kids here are very confused, they go to school on schedule one week some classes, then next the others, and everything is mess.

Hmm, Where is Rae, @bcgal00 did she know that the forum is back?

I think this is for Cheery Os only or I'm not doing it right as it allows me to insert image only by link but not directly from my computer. Hmm?!

@felis you have me giggling now. I saw that you referred to Kinleigh as "it". Now I understand. I knew if I spelled her name like it sounded, you'd know how it was pronounced. It IS very melodic. She was definitely a "lockdown baby". Kinleigh's mom (Alyssa) had to choose one "support person" who had to go into the hospital with her before she had her C-section. She chose her mom because the support person could not leave and then come back. Her mom had to stay the whole time - she even had to sleep in Alyssa's room. They live in the state of Michigan and that particular state is on HIGH lockdown. All states here are not on the same degrees of lockdown here in the US. Michigan is very strict! My grandson (the father) couldn't even go to see his baby at the hospital because he could not stay the whole three days due to his work schedule.

Hi everyone! Glad to see things are up and running here.
@faerywings So sorry to hear about Ray. Hugs.

Things are busy here with Bella but at the end of the month, Jen is moving out with Bella so we’ll have a quieter house again. She quit her job, is taking a break and is going to focus on Bella and seeing Bailey quite a bit. Since she will be a single person household, not at high risk anymore since she quit her job, she is going to be allowed to be with Bailey. That will be good for both of them.

We enjoyed having Bella around so much and Taz hasn’t played like that in years, so we are going to look around for a pup sometime in the spring/summer. There isn’t much availability, if any, of pups in the BC area. All the good breeders have a waiting list that is full for most of 2021. But maybe we’ll get lucky. It it’s meant to be, it’ll happen.

Not much else happening. Do exercises and walking lots to help my back which is slowly improving.

Going to go binge watch “Devils” now. BFN

:) Oh, yes it's called ''Sweden's model'' and you shouldn't say she or he to the child, and also say "your parent" not mom or dad, until the child choose. Personally I find this very confusing, but I guess I'm old fashioned. It's so difficult in language with gender-specific noun. We know people which are much into this now.
OMG, this is so crazy! I know that before fathers have to wait outside during the birth, and personally I prefer that. But few days to not be able even to hug his baby, that is crazy!

Hi! Thx for thinking of me. I discovered last night that the forum was open again. It looks good, doesn't it? I like the tagging feature.
