Chris-I'm so happy you're back all rested! Glad you had a nice, relaxing time, you deserve it
.
Sally-When do we get to see your new hair? I saw the LO you did of your handsome little man, he looks great!
LindaP-mmmm Mexican, my DH and I loooove Mexican
. and home improvement stores LOL, I could really spend a lot of $$ in one if I had it.
Kat-LOL, men just don't listen, ever, do they?
Digi-glad your honey is back and you had a long weekend to spend together!
Clara-congrats on the new laptop! I'd love to have one, if we can ever get our full-grown kids out of the house...here they are in their mid-20s and NO sign of ever leaving, maybe we can actually start getting a few more things we want LOL.
Sandra-so happy you are able to go see your dad, hope he'll start getting stronger and stronger soon. I can imagine how tough all of this has been, hang in there.
Jos-ewwww, I'm with you on that nasty sweet syrupy stuff, ugh! Don't work too hard on laundry, get some rest and pamper yourself a little
.
Mary Ellen--LOL tie him down?! I barely even remember those days my kids are so old. I do seem to recall getting startled a few times in the middle of the night with one of them beside the bed wanting something. Oh, and early mornings when they would get up before us and get into things, ugh! Good luck!
Speaking of kids, mine, especially my almost 25-yr-old daughter is driving me nuts. I hate to come here and vent and whine....but....well..y'all listen so well
. Amanda is bipolar, with borderline personality disorder, major depressive, with suicidal ideation. She has attempted suicide 13 times since 2006, one was a massive overdose of something(I don't want to say what in public) that should've killed her, she was put on dialysis for a short time and luckily had no permanent kidney damage or brain damage. She has not attempted suicide since first of 2008. As a result of all of this she has not been able to hold a job since 2006, prior to that she worked in a doctor's office and really enjoyed it. She started there when she was 16 in high school as a co-op program.
Now, she is on multiple meds, has no insurance until June when she will finally have Medicare. She does draw a social security check. And lives here with her brother, father and I. Four adults, 1 house, me nuts. She won't bathe unless I tell her specifically to do so, she will actually let herself begin to stink, will not keep her room clean or clothes clean, I have to spell out for her step by step what to do. If I ask her to clean the kitchen, she half-way does it. I don't know if she's playing me, trying to make me think she's that bad off still, or if she's really that uncapable.
Right now she's not actually seeing a psychiatrist, just a nurse practitioner, it's a low-income kind of treatment facility and it stinks.
She had the tummy bug over the weekend, it's been a 24-48 hr thing. She'll be fine one minute now, then if we ask her to do something she'll be like "I'm still sick". Argh!!! I want her to move into low-income housing...there's a nice place up by the lakes, utilities are paid, she would be able to get a pet, but she keeps balking and I just can't force it, although DH wants to throw her out.
Needless to say I am extremely stressed, I try to put on a happy face but...eeeek! Sorry if this is all TMI, but I needed to vent and my friends and family around here have heard it all and are sick of it
