Daily Ooos: August 31-September 1: Weekend Edition

The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
NOOOOOOOO

:lalalala:

I refuse to acknowledge let alone accept that it is the last day of August. (ignore the fact that I actually did by typing the subject of this thread)
I'm not sure if I am more emotionally disoriented by the end of the summer or that the Wedding Month TM is here. Smart money would say Both. Last night, I got a "Facebook memory" of a photo of Caitlyn and Dani (officiant) walking down the street on our way to get back-to-school ice cream. That was a many-years long tradition so I tagged Debbie and said that FB better behave with the memories of our girls and back to school and birthdays. They were born 10 days apart, Sept 11 and 21, and September was always a big month for photos of them together. My goodness-- it is gonna be  -- If you are in the stock market, buy shares for any and all tissue and waterproof mascara brands. :floorlaugh:

Plans yesterday went a little sideways but nothing too difficult. Gary woke up with strange blisters on his arms and smartly decided to get them checked out by the doctor. That meant he needed the car so my mom came up here instead. That made it easier on me and was good for my mom to get out of the house.
Scott was up-county for work and was able to join us for dinner -- two nights in a row, I am spoiled

Big plans for today-- painting my nails. Laundry... and nothing else major on the list. I'm in that weird time space where it's too soon to work the last-minute things and most of the bigger things are ready to go. I guess that is a good sign!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and Happy Labor Day weekend to those of you in the US!

@faerywings Plans yesterday went a little sideways but nothing too difficult. Gary woke up with strange blisters on his arms and smartly decided to get them checked out by the doctor.

So what did the Dr say about the blisters?
Out west it was so hot and dry my skin really dried out so we stopped at a Walmart and I grabbed some Nivea body lotion I used it daily for several weeks then developed itchy blisters...I am allergic and still have some itchy spots. UGH. I wake up at night scratching so got blood drops on the camper sheets...into the garbage they went.

Going to buy my tissue stock right after my coffee!

@BoatLady I hope that you are getting all settled and unpacked back at home. How wonderful to see everyone today at your welcome home party, have fun!

@BrightEyes So about 12 hours or so for the worst of the side effects to wear off? Good to know since I'm pretty sure I will read the same way. I wonder why it is always worse at night no matter the time you get the shot. Morning or afternoon- it always hits me when I am trying to sleep. So happy that you were able to get the CPs uploaded and have some new ones to play with this weekend :)

@taxed4ever The concert and trip to Vancouver sounds like it was amazing and beautiful. The city must be an awesome place to visit but I'm with you, I'd rather be home where it is quieter.
How are your ILs feeling? I hope that everyone is on the mend. Good luck and fingers crossed to you and your Gary for staying healthy after the concert.

@Terri M I hope you made it to the winery last night, it sounds like it would be an awesome start to the weekend. I live about 15-20 minutes from some NY State wineries (Warwick NY) and I have never been to one of them. That's fantastic that you know the schedules of which ones are open and when!
If you go to a nursery, you only need to get one milkweed plant and a little patience. Scott brought me home a seed pod maybe three or four years ago. I had one plant that grew the first year, then two or three the next year, and then this year I have five (there should have been six but I tried to move one and it didn't take). This year I also harvested 3 seed pods so next spring, I'll spread the seeds and hope that I get some more plants.
(just recounted in my head-- I have 6 plants, should have been 7)
Hope you had time to scrap the Color Plays!

@Cherylndesigns LOLing at Ava trying to sneak the mop onto your porch without waking you :giggle4:
I just get in the mood to do something and I go ahead and do it.
Really??? I would never have guessed. Nor would I ever feel the same way about something!!
Bwuahaha!
I bet the solar lights looked so pretty at night!

"old lady arthritic knuckles"
oh man, they are terrible-- I have those nodules on them. It's karma biting me in the a**. When I was young, I never wanted to hold my grandma's hands because they were so twisted and bumpy. My other grandmother had pretty hands and nails and I guess I was rude and preferred hers. Guess who is well on her way to twisted fingers? pfft.
My friend suggested getting a silicone wedding band but I don't think I'm going even bother. Although there were some cute styles on Amazon, it's not that big of a deal.

@AK_Tracy
Ummmm yep, saw, bought, downloaded, sorted, drooled over and ready to go! :heartpumppink: :giggle4:
Yay!!! Veni, vidi, vici of the CPs
Okay, just remember, Big Bertha!!! She's the reason we dont stab people. You dont want to have to room with her in prison.
:jail1: Excellent advice!
I really really really hope that you did okay wrestling the dogs at the vet. J always hurts me in some way, stubborn brick of a dog, so I understand if you get that sore muscle feeling afterward. :/

Kay- that is so smart to download stock photos that you like. I never thought to do that and maybe I should. I typically use personal photos over stock but I wonder if I had a "personalized" collection already on my computer I'd do more.
Great news about DD#1!
That reminds me, how is D-SIL#2 doing? Is his leg/foot healing well?

Oh my - you have never played cards against humanity until you play it with your 88 yo FIL and his 80 yo girlfriend!! Mel didn't warn them, and some of them are QUITE nasty!!! He was so shocked and laughed harder than I've ever heard him laugh in my life! (He's not a prude so he wasn't offended, but he was definitely shocked!!)
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm dying from laughter over here!!!! :rotfl:
I have officially hit 80 lbs down, and I have 37 lbs to go.
:bowdown2: That is incredible and I am super proud of you and the hard, hard work you put in. :hug4:

I've asked you 1000 times and you never answer me!!! Cant you hear my mind?
Tracy!! Bwuahahha!

Cheryl-- yeah-- I would not try to do 15 CPs again if I were you :D

hugs to you all, my friends! ♥

She thinks he might have rubbed his skin raw in some spots- he is diabetic and doesn't take care of himself as good as I think he should LOL
Don't forget stock in waterproof mascara too! :D

Morning, all. Woke up too early... 4:30AM and got up at 5:15.... Feeling much better by yesterday afternoon. After I got the last Color Play LO done, I decided to work on DS#2's wedding photos. It had the most of the curled photos (18) but I had a brain storm on what to do. I have a short 5" piece of 3/4" wood dowel rod so I wrapped the curled edge around it and held it there while rolling it a bit, That helped straighten the photo out enough so I could get the photo corners on it plus photo glue squares in a row down the back side of where the curl had been to hold it down in place on the page. I treated 1 photo at a time and got them glued down on each page. That did better than anything else I had tried. Took a break then sorted the personal photos we had taken and got them put into Photo sleeves. Was such a relief to have that group finished. I looked at DD#1's photos (in a non-acid free album) to decide what color cardstock to use for her section. I have enough of the Old Olive cardstock... the same that I used for DS#1's. Since most of the photos were taken in the park, it will be a nice background for her section. I need to scan in the title that I am using for the title page... only have her Renewal of Vows title. Do a little erase the name on it and put in the one I need. I will be smart and save the blank title shape in case it is needed later on.

Decided since DD#1 is coming in 3 weeks, I should go ahead and get the flu shot - so set up the appointment for this coming Wed - Sept 4th. That gives me plenty of time to recover before the Gal's Brown Bag Lunch on Sept 10th. That should be it for needed shots this winter...:cloud9:

@faerywings just take a deep breath... let it out and breathe slowly... You have it under control. Everything will turn out lovely.
When I was working on 3 different Forum CTs and 5 designers CTs (all at the same time) I needed to have lots of different photos so I wasn't reusing the same personal photos all the time. That was when I started collecting stock photos that I liked and thought they would work for me. I enjoy looking at freebie stock photos - especially if I need particular colors or theme - and often find others I know I will eventually use. And since hubby is gone and I am no longer red hatting, I don't take many photos.
D-Sil#2 is slowly improving. He can now bear some weight on his leg - using a walker. It is going to take awhile for him to recover. He has been home for the last few weeks and home health nurse coming in check on him.

@bcgal00 going to miss having you on the CT but understand that things have changed since you made the big move. You need to start popping in here to let us know how you are doing.

Time to get my :showering:and maybe stripe the bed and put fresh sheets on it. HAGWE

Morning gals!! It is another beautiful sunny morning and the Lake is like glass. I should be out there with SIL Linda but she is still sick with Covid. I picked up some groceries for both her and the In-Laws yesterday and so today I will get things that we need at the Old Farm Market. I have a few coupons for the Market and I love shopping there in the fresh air and sunshine. I was busy in the afternoon getting my month end duties accomplished and so I am all ready for the new month. I can't believe that August is going to be over, it sure flew by!! We will be busy getting all the bushes trimmed soon and I have noticed that some of them are turning colour already, the burning bush is really changing to a vibrant red. Reading the almanac for this winter, sounds like we will be getting very cold this year Ugh!! Anyway I should get in the shower and get going to Hope Farm for some eggs and then get groceries before it gets really busy! I hope to do something creative this afternoon, wish me luck it seems there is always something that keeps me away from the craft room or my computer (his name is Gary :giggle4:). I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!!
Big plans for today-- painting my nails. Laundry... and nothing else major on the list. I'm in that weird time space where it's too soon to work the last-minute things and most of the bigger things are ready to go. I guess that is a good sign!
Sounds like you have everything under control!! You must be getting so excited for the big day!! I can't wait to see photos etc!! Hope that your Gary's blisters are better very soon! So many things to worry about with diabetes, he needs to start listening to you to take better care of himself!!
Ugh on the allergy to Nivea, but they put so many bad things in mass produced creams its no wonder you got a reaction. I only use this now, Mother Natures whipped cream but you probably don't get this in your area.
When I was working on 3 different Forum CTs and 5 designers CTs (all at the same time) I needed to have lots of different photos so I wasn't reusing the same personal photos all the time.
OMG It is mind boggling to me that you could keep up with being on all of these different CT's !! I would never have been able to keep all of that straight in my mind!! :wow2::yourock:.

Ok off I go to the shower :showering:and get on with the day!! :waving1

Good morning ladies. My very last day as a CT...it feels crazy to say that. But I know with all the other changes to my life, it makes sense to leave it. I'm staying on at another store site b/c all I have to do is create a few pages a month so literally about 4 hrs/month takes care of them. Other than that, I'll work with some designer stuff, do a few challenges here and there and just enjoy the more relaxed scrapping schedule. I have activities scheduled once or twice a day 5 days/wk and the other two days are often photography/birding outings. It's rare that I am home for a whole day now.

Remi is doing so well, is adapting to her restricted schedule nicely. I bought small squeaky balls and keep them in the garage. I grab one when we go for 3xday slow walks along the neighborhood paths and gently push it along with my foot, she grabs it, trotting along with it in her mouth (squeaking it which makes all passersby smile at us), and then plops it down for me to push again...and again...etc.

We leave for our trip in 3 wks and now am waiting for our travel agent to contact us on Tues to figure out if we can get another flight. Air Canada may be striking anytime, starting the wk before we go, so we can't take that chance. Any bets on whether it costs us even more money??? This trip definitely has not turned out to be a little trip like I thought it would. It is costing us as much as when we went to Europe. Crazy. Fingers crossed we get it all sorted out.

@faerywings That sucks for Gary. He struggles so much with his health. Give him a hug for me.

It's time to get Remi out for her first walk of the day so I'd better get dressed and carry on with things. HAGD everyone.

Good Morning Ladies!

Gary woke up with strange blisters on his arms and smartly decided to get them checked out by the doctor. That meant he needed the car so my mom came up here instead. That made it easier on me and was good for my mom to get out of the house.
You left us hanging! Thankfully Debby asked and we got an answer but sheesh you left us hanging! :giggle4:
Glad youre mom came to you and it was a good visit!!! Yeah!! No Big Bertha :jail1:
I really really really hope that you did okay wrestling the dogs at the vet.
Dogs did good. They pulled a bit and almost tripped me but overall we did good.
Reading the almanac for this winter, sounds like we will be getting very cold this year
My honey said the same thing. Its going to be a cold winter. Not sure I am ready for cold. I love snow but the cold temps are hard at times. Especially when its -20 or colder.

Today is another day of rain. We are officially in fall. Rain, yellow leaves, cooler temps. All the lawn furniture was put away last weekend. Time for more coffee. Have a wonderful day!

Ughh rain and cooler temps for you, sorry its hard to believe that you have had to put the lawn furniture away already! Where are you located?? We are having summer temps here on Vancouver Island and it will hit 27C today.

Way further north, in Alaska. :heartpumppink: The temps are low 40'sF(4C) at night and up to maybe 60F in the day but starting to hover at 55F.(12C)

Hi all,

I'm going to be gone all evening - we're going to our very first Cherokee Pow Wow this evening! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! This one is huge - I've been looking at pictures from last year and WOW!! We've talked about going every year since we moved out here, but we're doing it!

Yes, my lights look awesome! I finally have them on both sides and they all match!

I KNEW you'd "never" believe that I wanted it done and now. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I never heard of the silicone rings, but they're pretty cool. I think I'm going to order a set of the "stacking" ones. My knuckles are big too so I rarely wear my rings. Those look super cozy. There are even some kind of fancy looking ones on there.

Waving to everybody - I have to get a move on - have to wash my hair. :rotfl:

My second post today but I am so excited I had to share....We fixed the refrigerator in the travel trailer...Believe it or not it was just a safety switch...pushed the button turn the gas on wait a couple hours and it made ice....so happy!

@BrightEyes so glad you are feeling better and getting a visit from your daughter.

@AK_Tracy ...brr... our nights are warmer than your day temps...I do agree snow is pretty but the clean up ...ugh. I loved it when I was young but I got older-lots older so it's not fun.

@bcgal00 ..The airlines are so difficult to deal with good luck.. I 2 weeks I am flying to Cleveland for a concert meeting Granddaughter, DD and DIL. they have changed our flights at least once. Have a fun trip!!!

@taxed4ever ...It sounds like a wonderful day ...going to the outdoor market.

Have a great weekend.

Not sure what my problem is today, I can hear all of your pencils scratching making a list. My anxiety level is off the charts. The layout I spent the morning on is going nowhere so I had to walk away from it. Yesterday, I didn't get anything I'd planned to do done. Our old home movies had been transferred to VCR. 20 years ago I transferred my VCR to DVD. My brother & sister were just getting around to doing it now the tapes don't work, could I send them mine. Don't know where they are, I don't have a cd drive in my computer, so I blew a foot of dust off the CD/DVD drive I was going to recycle at Best Buy & transferred files to my computer but they were DVD files that now needed converting to mp4. I spent an hour researching conversion software that was supposed to be free, only gives all of the necessary processes in paid version and they are expensive. Finally found one I can use for a month for $24. Converted files, stitched them together I reploaded to Amazon vault so they could download. Told them to let me know if it worked, didn't hear back so sent another message this morning. Oh ya it worked fine. They are going to reimburse me, those checks always get lost in the mail.

While I have developed some good habits here, July & August bred a really bad one. The alarm goes off at 4:15 three days a week so I get up and go to the gym, but instead of going to said gym, I've been going downstairs, sitting right beside my lovely studio cycle which is whimpering softly , and scrap . The bathroom scale had a stand up come to Jesus meeting with me on Thursday, it would have been a sit down meeting, but that would put me on the "twa-let" and that would traumatize you and send you running for sanitizer. I got to the gym yesterday and "almost" got on the bike this morning. "Self, you've got to straighten up".:layonpillow::whip3::whip3::whip4: Undie drawer is empty , I better get busy.:banana2:

Hi everyone!
First day of spring here Down Under but in reality it started over a week ago. We have having very unseasonal very warm days for this time of year.
I am finally hoping to be more active in the forum here. Life away from the computer it still as busy.
Today I plan on working on my ATC for the Member challenge I host. Creating little pieces of art is fun.

Hi Everyone! Happy day 1 of a 3 day weekend for those here in the US! Mark is with the girls this weekend, so it's me and the dogs, looking for my mojo. Covid is still lingering - I feel so very tired all the time, and today the cold symptoms have come back. So I laid low, drank tea and honey, and guess what? I actually backed up my files. First time since coming to the O so it was long overdue. I feel good about that. Hoping to be inspired and maybe make something fun tonight. It's been a while. I haven't done a single CP yet. :wow2:

@BoatLady Glad to hear you are home safe and sound! Hard to believe another summer trip whizzed by.
@BrightEyes we are watching a Netflix series called Dark Winds. I'm certain they filmed it up in your area. Also in Santa Fe. They had a church scene with the spiral staircase and had some outside scenes in the center of town. But the rest of it looks very much like the rural areas between ABQ and SF.

@AK_Tracy we have a few leaves starting to turn here, but it's still really really hot. Some cooler temps sounds nice.

@faerywings The wedding will go beautifully! You've worked so hard - enjoy your in-between rest - and on the big day, please make sure you enjoy yourself!

@faerywings I hope all the plans run smoothly for the wedding. What date is it happening? Ken and I will be celebrating our 32nd Anniversary on the 12th of September.

I'm going to be gone all evening - we're going to our very first Cherokee Pow Wow this evening! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! This one is huge - I've been looking at pictures from last year and WOW!! We've talked about going every year since we moved out here, but we're doing it!

This is wonderful news!!!! YEAH!!!!!!

I am peopled out. Work was good but training people and that means talking, even just chit chat, all day long. I'm ready to curl up with my laptop and scrap but gotta get ready for grands tomorrow.

Twin, you better get your butt to the gym! @JeanneMN That scale is evil and lies through its numbers. Dont believe it.

@A-M Yeah for spring. I bet youre ready for it.

@mimes1 Amy I am sorry you felt icky again today. I think I picked up a garden variety cold and that's not helping my over peopled feeling.

Its 60*F outside. The sun sets about 9:30p and we are for sure in fall. Cant deny it anymore LOL But that's okay cause I'm crazy and I like the snow. helps that I have a plow, and dont have to shovel.

Off to read a book and listen to the last of the silence for the weekend. Have a. wonderful night

Oh my gosh - I just got home. What a night! This was the 72nd Pow Wow and there were 80 tribes represented, from all over the US and even Canada. I'm so keyed up that it's going to take me awhile to calm down. It was so moving and patriotic - they invited all veterans to come into the inner circle and then they did a tribal dance to honor the "Warriors". They gave special mention to the Vietnam vets who were treated so terribly when they came home. I was in tears through most of that ceremony. The other highlight of the night was when they invited ANYBODY to join the circle and dance. Ava and Drake dragged me out there and we danced around with hundreds of other people in this giant circle, and it was projected onto this huge screen. They had us in a "peace sign" circle. We danced for so long and boy do my thighs feel it now, it was a "step point, step point" kind of dance in rhythm to the beautiful drums and music. Of course, Drake, being Cherokee knew what was going on and was telling us.

We had to park, walk forever to catch a shuttle bus, then walk forever again, then we sat out in the rain for a couple of hours, but it was SO worth it. We were prepared for the rain, we had raincoats, etc. and Drake had gone over in the afternoon and sat up folding chairs for all of us. What a night - I'll never forget it!!

I rode with Ava and Drake, and Adrienne, Roger, Braden, his gf, Alyssa and her bf were all there all joined us. Again, what a night!

Yeah, bay-byeeeee!!! I slept until 6.15!!! dance4 I think it was mainly because it was so darn dark outside but partially due to mental exhaustion. Either way, it was great. Now if I can keep it going for a little longer, I'll be very happy.

I love it when I have no idea what I did the day before-- *eye roll* -- had to be thrilling. haha.
Big decision #1 made: Nail polish color. Each of my fingers has a different color on them so I look sort of weird(er). Today is set aside Big Decision #2- which foundation I want to use. I have so many half-empty bottles of foundation and no idea which ones match or last without settling into my wrinkles. Oops, I mean "expression lines." I'll swatch them all over my face so my skin will match my nails-- weird. :floorlaugh:

I am going to keep up with yoga, if for no other reason than to give my spinning mind a little bit of a break. Other than that, not much to do. I think I'll try to take it easy today. The weather is crummy so I can't work outside, I already started my grocery order, and it's still too soon to wash the wine glasses over the kitchen island. It's easy to tell which one is my favorite, that one is never dusty :wine4:

Wishing everyone a very lovely day!
:grouphugyay:

@BrightEyes Your latest photo uncurling technique seems like it was time-consuming but successful, that's fantastic!
Smart idea to get the flu shot done now too so you'll be good to go for the season.
D-Sil#2 is slowly improving. He can now bear some weight on his leg - using a walker. It is going to take awhile for him to recover. He has been home for the last few weeks and home health nurse coming in check on him.
That's a huge relief to hear about the improvement but must be frustrating for him at the same time. I guess he has to learn how to walk all over again. Lots of good thoughts to him and his progress.

@taxed4ever Poor Linda! She must be furious at your ILs for not telling her that they were sick.
I'm with you, I can't believe that it is September already and the flowers and leaves are beginning to change here too. The hummingbirds have been very active at the feeder, probably getting ready to migrate soon.
I hope to do something creative this afternoon, wish me luck it seems there is always something that keeps me away from the craft room or my computer (his name is Gary :giggle4:).
:rotfl:

It makes sense but that doesn't make it any less sad for me... I'm going to miss you on the back side here but I gonna make sure that you stop in here as often as you can. Don't make me come after you :whip4:
You and Remi are really doing a fantastic job -- keeping her active and calm and engaged all at the same time. Love the visual (and auditory hehe) of you two walking and squeaking the toys.
Good luck with the flights, I hope that it isn't too crazy $$$ to change.

Today is another day of rain. We are officially in fall. Rain, yellow leaves, cooler temps. All the lawn furniture was put away last weekend. Time for more coffee. Have a wonderful day!
You make fall sound cozy--- I wish I had that superpower. :D

I had to check the Farmer's Almanac for the winter forecasts

Winter-weather-forecast-2024-2025-Farmers-Almanac.jpg

I'll take mild and wet!
Although I should *not* have looked further- the forecast for September says hurricane threat in the Atlantic- mid-September. And guess where Caitlyn and Tom are honeymooning? A cruise in the Atlantic. The Atlantic is huge- its alllll good.

Yes, my lights look awesome! I finally have them on both sides and they all match!

I KNEW you'd "never" believe that I wanted it done and now. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
Of course! we are two of a kind. Damned it we will wait for someone else to help us once we get a bug in our brain :lol23:
Caitlyn got a titanium, engraved wedding band for Tom but also some silicone ones since he works with his hands and they are safer. I keep tossing the idea around about getting them- LMK if you order them and what you think.

My second post today but I am so excited I had to share....We fixed the refrigerator in the travel trailer...Believe it or not it was just a safety switch...pushed the button turn the gas on wait a couple hours and it made ice....so happy!
YAY!!!! That's fantastic news and what a relief!
While I have developed some good habits here, July & August bred a really bad one. Drill Sargeant Faery says you have to be strong but kind to yourself. You have to make sure that you take care of yourself- the gym is important to your health so if that is what you need to do, do it first. Then scrap all you want. :D We aren't going anywhere and we all have your back. So if you don't stop in here, it's all good. Real Life always comes first.

@A-M Happy Spring to you! I will have to check out your ATC challenge today ♥
The wedding is September 13-- yes, it's a Friday - perfect for my spooky DD and SIL.
Happy anniversary on the 12th!!! :loveangel:
Hi Everyone! Happy day 1 of a 3 day weekend for those here in the US! Mark is with the girls this weekend, so it's me and the dogs, looking for my mojo. Covid is still lingering - I feel so very tired all the time, and today the cold symptoms have come back. So I laid low, drank tea and honey, and guess what? I actually backed up my files. First time since coming to the O so it was long overdue. I feel good about that. Hoping to be inspired and maybe make something fun tonight. It's been a while. I haven't done a single CP yet. :wow2:
I am sorry that you are still feeling under the weather from Covid. I hope that this weekend's relaxing helps boost you physically and that you find your mojo too.
We liked Dark Winds too. It must be neat to see the local areas on the TV screen.

I am peopled out. Work was good but training people and that means talking, even just chit chat, all day long. I'm ready to curl up with my laptop and scrap but gotta get ready for grands tomorrow.
Good luck recharging the social batteries. I'm like that too-- once my battery is drained, I hit a wall and am *done.*
Enjoy your babies today!

Oh my gosh - I just got home. What a night! This was the 72nd Pow Wow and there were 80 tribes represented, from all over the US and even Canada. I'm so keyed up that it's going to take me awhile to calm down.
You gave me goosebumps! Just reading your post felt so powerful, I cannot imagine the energy being there in person. I hope that boost stays with you for a long time!

Wow wow wow that is awesome...memories you will always have...I hope you got some pics of all the colorful costumes...I just love the costumes and beadwork!!! feathers too.

belly button.....woot woot woot, the scrapping friend I met IRL is thinking about starting at the OOOOOOOOOO I'll try to get back later, y'all lead such interesting lives.

Caitlyn got a titanium, engraved wedding band for Tom but also some silicone ones since he works with his hands and they are safer. I keep tossing the idea around about getting them- LMK if you order them and what you think.

She is smart...That is what DIL did too. Mike owns an automotive repair shop so there is always a risk of getting stuck. Mom feels good about it too, just sayin'

Good Morning Ladies.
head cold. Fun. Grands coming in 3 hours. Didn't sleep well. Back aches. I hate feeling ugh. Been taking lots of vitamins and water, which didn't help the sleep :giggle4: I dont normally wake up at night but man had to potty twice last night.

Oh my gosh - I just got home. What a night!
This sounds so fun!! What an experience that had to have been. What fun that the family all got to go too.
Okay, I NEEED photos! :floorlaugh:
Who do you think this is about?
I am pretty sure this meme was about me! And its 100% accurate.

Its September. Where oh where did August go? This week is gonna be a killer. Probably stressed myself into a head cold. Love how that works. Saw the AJ and it started my mind spinning. Not "focus"ed at all. :giggle4:

Morning everyone! Another sunny day here and its a long weekend so my Gary is home until Tuesday morning. Will I survive?? :giggle4: . We have a day of cleaning out the garage, it hasn't been done in years and I am sick of all the stuff collecting dust and cobwebs!! We are going to tackle half of it today and the other half tomorrow. We did not hear a word from the In-Laws yesterday, so I guess we should phone them this morning and make sure everyone is ok. SIL Linda is still very sick and now has the non stop coughing which is really hurting the already sore throat. I need to get some baking done today and the :laundry: is on the list of today's chores also. My Gary is ready for some breakfast so I will come back in a bit and do personals. But first I have to say...
This was the 72nd Pow Wow and there were 80 tribes represented, from all over the US and even Canada.
We used to attend the Pow Wow's on the PiaPot first nations reserve in Saskatchewan it was truly magical, so glad you got to experience it too!!

I don’t know how you gals keep up with everything here in this thread! I feel like an amateur!

Anyone having family or friends over today? We are havin g the family over. Poor Meli has to work so she has to miss the party.

Our nephew is going into the Air Force in 2 weeks so it may be the last family party with him for a while. If you’re the praying type - pray for his safety. The world is so unsettled right now!

Morning everyone. It is another beautiful and coolish morning. Only getting into the low 80's again today. Didn't have the A/C on yesterday at all.
I have been busy getting the first September Challenge LO and a Color Play LO uploaded to the galleries and around digi-world. Plus a couple of designer's LOs uploaded. Hard to believe it is September... but am intrigued by the challenges this month. So many of them have caught my attention... now to find time to work on them. :floorlaugh: :spinningchair::coffeescreen:

The good news is I am feeling "normal" again. Even the appetite has come back! Guess I will dig some pork chops or steak out for supper. Just remembered that a grandson and a grandson-in-law have birthdays today... need to send them birthday wishes.

@faerywings I nearly fell off my chair LOL over your different nail polish on each finger and different foundation all over your face!!! That is one way to make the decision on which of those will work for the wedding events.
And yes... it was well worth the effort to uncurl the photos... I am so happy with how the wedding album is coming together. Hope to work on DD#1's wedding photos today. Have to print out the title for it and some frames.

@Cherylndesigns How exciting it must have been to be at the Gathering of Nations. It is a very emotional and moving event. We have them near here usually each year but I haven't gone to one. So glad you and the family attended even with the rain.

@pachimac Congrats on losing the weight... I know what a challenge it has been for you.

@taxed4ever oh, garage clean out is such a dirty and difficult chore. Good luck on getting it done. Sending healing thoughts for Sis-in-law and the in-laws.

Time for another :coffeedrinker:then will get busy on the album. HAGD
