Hi Ladies!!

I am up extra early today....DH was up at 4 am to head out for the first day of hunting season...he woke me up when he got up and I couldn't go back to sleep...Now I will worry all day...as usual that he's okay...climbing trees, and such...I can't help but worry...He usually calls me a couple of times when he is off his stand...cause he knows I am worried...

I am yawning now...with the smell of coffee brewing....come join me for a cup!! I am thinking I may lay back down for a bit...I asked the girls if they wanted to go to the Pumpkin Patch today...neither have given me an answer yet....if not...maybe next weekend.

I will check back with you girlies later!! Have a great day!!

Oh Linda...the pumpkin patch sounds like fun! Nothing like photos from the pumpkin patch! I'm thinking we'll get that included next weekend. At least that's the plan.

Today we're going to go watch a gymnastics meet. These are the lower levels so some of the girls will probably be as young as 7. That should be fun and Sydney will enjoy it. And I promised Shaun that we'd make a run to Target! And I really want to get some scrapping done.

And when my friend Chris gets here today, I just want you to know that I finally saw the layout you did earlier this week. And I LOVE it! And I LOVE her! It just touched my heart SO deeply. Anyone who thinks that cyberfriends aren't real friends just doesn't have my cyberfriends.

I'll be back later today I'm sure.

Good morning and happy weekend!

I never made it back yesterday- chalk it up to another day from you know where. As soon as I got back from the bus stop, I went to throw something in the garbage, and saw a bunch of Scott's meds in there. I had specifically left his morning meds in a little cup and he told me he had taken them. So when I saw them, I flipped- I was wondering how he could lie to me like that, how long he had been throwing the pills out, and on top of all that- what else was he lying to me about.

There was also an issue at school where he had been marked absent from Periods 4-8 on Thurs but he swore he was in class. And on top of of that- he had been saying he was getting dressed for gym and doing the warm ups, but the teacher had been marking him unprepared every day.

Gary and I pretty much went through his room top to bottom, looking for any hiding places. He had told us that some of his friends are smoking pot, but that he hasn't.
I had to email his teachers to find out what was up with his attendance and also his gym teacher to get the scoop on that. But the day became a "spy session" in a way.

I am sure that Linda W and Dawn can relate.... but it *sucks* (pardon the rough talk) knowing that your kid can be lying to you like that. Talk about feeling like my heart was ripped out.

G and I picked him up from school so we had time to talk to him alone and calmly before I had to leave to get Cait and my friend's 2 kids that I had to babysit.

Thankfully- nothing was as bad as it seemed. The meds were from the night before- he had them on his plate and forgot to take them and they got scraped into the garbage. That I can verify, b/c some of the meds he takes in the AM were not with the ones in the garbage.
The attendance was a glitch on one of the teacher's part. She apologized for making the mistake, but I emailed her back saying how happy I was it was a mistake. And his gym teacher doesn't count warm up and laps as participating. So while he thought he was participating, she didn't think it was enough to count.

But man, it was a long, brutal day, and I am just emotionally drained.

I am hoping that today can be a good one, calm and quiet...

Personals-

Linda W- I would worry too (its in my nature ) but he sounds like he knows what he is doing. But I guess it is the same with driving, I don't worry so much about Gary but the other idiots on the road. Good to hear that he will stay in touch - hes a good guy!
If you make it to the Pumpkin Patch- have fun!!

Linda S-- i loooove you too!! I am so glad that you liked the LO- and your quote about cyberfriends -ITA!! You all are seriously my family and I love you all. Cait and I were talking about Coz last night... we are just so sad we can't go. But we are hoping for next year.
Have fun today with the kids!

From Friday:

Linda S- that is awesome that YMG is going to help in school. When we had our mtg for Scott, all of the staff said the same thing, how helpful it is to them, to the kids and to the parents to all be working together. It sends a good, strong message.

Dawn, as you saw- no relaxation for me... but... my friend (the one I was babysitting for) made me a plate of brownies to thank me. When she saw what a rough day I was having, she told me to take the bottle of Pinot home too. So--- here are brownies and wine for all of us to share!!

Sally- about leaving your patience behind... I know that feeling. How was your zoo trip?

Merkee- I am thinking the best thoughts for YMG. Fingers and toes all crossed.

Good tip on the vision. Linda S- also consider color blindness. We found out Scott was color blind when he was in 3rd grade. The middle school apparently didn't know until last week! They are working with graphs and Scott was not getting it, at all. Finally the teacher asked him something about the red and blue bars... and he couldn't see the difference. No wonder he wasn't getting what she was talking about!

And see- I brought brownies and wine today! GMTA!

Linda W- sounds like Ayden is starting to fit in great- so no typing with your nose?

Clara- about your aggravation about Oktoberfest. Sounds like we Americans just like to take any celebration and take it over- like St Pat's Day, and Cinqo de Mayo- American commercialization OL!!
hee hee!! love the idea of a cocktail chat- but if you think I am a terrible typist when I am sober, you don't want to see me type after a glass or two of wine buhahah!

Congrats on being on Merkee's team! yay!

Ok, better go get some b-fast, and get into the attic. I promised Caitlyn we would decorate for Halloween today.

And I have scrapping to do!! Lots of it!

xoxoxoxo

hello! Today was Will's birthday party, and I was disappointed... one guest didn't show up until after everyone had left, and another one that had scheduled and said he'd be late didn't come at all! Will said he had a good time, but I just wish it could have been better... I think from now on we'll just invite 1 or 2 over for a sleepover and do pizza, movies, and popcorn...

Not much going on... just trying to get into a groove... this will be my first full week with the new schedule so we'll see how it goes!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend so far!

Hey all! It's Sunday morning downunder and we have started daylight saving! ugh! I hate it!! Like it is ALREADY 10.12am and I am still 'waking up'!! LOL!

Catching up with everything after my week long trip away has taken like two days already!!! I had a wonderful time with my youngest son and his family. My two little granddaughters are just so beautiful and it was really fun 'getting to know them' again. I will get to see them again at Christmas as they are coming down and this year I am having it at my place so I will certainly be busy the next couple of months doing some spring cleaning etc etc. Of course, I took HEAPS of photos while I was away so you will no doubt be seeing lots of LO's with the 'girls' featured!!! :)

okay, some personals that away to do the washing!

Chris, what a terrible day you had!!! you poor thing {big hug} but how wonderful that it all turned out ok!! I had a few days like that with my 4 growing up.......it really hurts to know that your children are capable of lying to you. back then it felt like it was the 'end of the world' but now I can laugh about it. It will get better sweetie! just hang in there!!

LindaW, know what you mean about worrying about your DH. My son goes (feral) pig hunting with hunting dogs and only knives! {shudder} I sometimes still can't fathom how he 'enjoys' this but that his interest! He only has one hunting dog at the moment and apparently is getting another puppy at Christmas. His other dog has 'retired'. Glenn's little girls just love both dogs and have no fear whatsoever, especially with Gus, the retired dog. Lanaia, who is 17 months, just walks up to Gus and literally shoves food into his mouth!!! Of course Grandma, or Gran-nan as they call me, just sits there in frozen horror!! LOL! Anways Linda, hope he is okay and you can do some scrapping to take your mind off things!! :)

LindaS...you must be getting so excited about your trip away!! I know I would be!! and really have to agree about the cyberfriends comment. Until I came to Oscraps I would not have understood but now I really look forward to having my daily fix of the O! I really missed it while I was away, was able to check in a couple of times but internet access is sporadic at the best of times out there!! I really think of all of you as my friends and now that I have gotten to know you all more I really do love you guys!!! xo

Clara! didn't get a chance to say 'see you on the other side' after your CheeryO stint finished. But wow! you are on Merkee's CT now?? how wonderful you little rock star!!! :)

Sandra, its a pity your son's little friends didn't show up on time or not at all!!! and I agree, I think the sleepover with a couple of friends is the way to go!! How are you feeling these days honey? You have had quite a bit of sadness come your way over the last few months, really hope that you are feeling happier! {hugs}

Dawn!! how's that little fur-ball of yours going?? and hope things are better on the work front! have you started your 'new' job yet?? things are sure to take a turn for the better with the new doctor. {hugs}

and to everyone else that pops in, hello and hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!!! We have a public holiday tomorrow so I have another day home before going back to the salt mines on Tuesday!! :) {hugs to everyone}.

Chris-Oh My my heart stopped when I read about Scott's meds...I'm so glad that it was a mistake. I'm so sorry you are going through all of this with him.

LindaW-oooh, I remember those hunting days, DH doesn't do too much of it anymore and thank goodness he doesn't use the stands when he does. I hope you get to go to the pumpkin patch soon. That sounds fun! I'm tickled little Ayden is working out well for you!

Sandra-Hi there! Sorry about the party, I'm sure he had fun though...parties can sometimes be overwhelming. The sleepover thing was always a hit here with my kids :).

Ona!!! Glad to see you back :). No new job yet :(. I still have 1 check coming thank goodness then after that hopefully my unemployment will be approved. I can't wait to see your layouts/photos!!!

Big, big ((((Hugs)))) to everyone! Love you all :).

Hey kids! Not much time, and I'm beat but I did want to check in. We went to a friend's house for dinner tonight, and with... how many moms did we have? 5 moms, and... oh goodness....16 children. SO it was loud in there, and I have a headache.

I feel bad about complaining AGAIN, Chris! Chee willikers. Thank goodness nothing was as bad as you thought, but what a day, huh? I was SO lucky with Quinn.. he always *knew* he was the smartest one around and acted like it (snort) but you know what? I'll take it over lying and sneaking around. I can only pray the girls are the same

although with them being girls, I know they won't be. Ai yi yi.

Chris you never did answer me about dessert smells for body wash/spray. Or maybe you did and I just didn't stop by that day. Lately I want something that smells like cake. I know I'm weird.

Hey everybody else, guess what I spent money on. I am in the process of upgrading to PSE 8. I have a teeeny bit of money right now, and apparently zero self-control, so I bought the upgrade. As per all things Adobe, it is dl-ing at a snail's pace. I'll let you all know how it is.

Oh and speaking of Quinn, he and his friends are in New Jersey right now watching two Bruce Springsteen shows. Can you hear them screaming, Chris? He and a couple of friends saved up for the tickets. They are sleeping at a friend's house in... Pennsylvania? Maybe? So there's a long drive back and forth. Is that possible, it seems like a loooong ways off. He said it was 2 hours.

Anyway, I didn't say anything to most of you. I'll be back around tomorrow, I hope!

XOXOXOXOX

hey girlies...quick post before i fall asleep here on the puter!!!

we had an awesome band concert tonight!! we were all totally stoked about it!! Had some new people come...we filled the little room we were playing in!! I have to tell you what the owner said, cause it was soooo cute!! She has Christian bands come and play every Saturday night. So after the set, I went over to the ordering bar and asked for my free iced mocha latte!! (yay!! totally worth everything!! LOL!!) and the owner looked an me and said, " omygosh!! they didn't tell me you guys were so good!!" I just cracked up and smiled and said, " thanks soo much!!" it just seemed soo funny...like yes, you can play in my coffee house, and it doesn't really matter how you sound!!! So that was nice to have her pleasantly surprised. We are looking at doing two more concerts in november there...which is totally awesome since it's really close to our house. *sigh* i'm living my dream!! :)

love you guys; i'm off to sleep!!! don't forget to add your gratitudes if you're playing along!! i had some good ones today!!!

Sandra- Oh that is such a bummer. Every year I swear that I will *not* have any sort of party. This past year, Gary took Scott and 2 frioends to the movies. Sooo much easier.
and yes, hon- how have you been feeling? always thinking of you and sending hugs~~

Ona- Welcome back! I hope that Monday doesn't bring too much of an adjustment for you after a fab trip away. I have been loving all of your LOs!
Keep telling me that some day I will laugh too, please!
*fingers in ears lalalalala about pig hunting* ahhh!

Dawn- I just read in Friday's Ooo's that you might go back to school? *fingers crossed* for you to be able to what you really enjoy!! And for good bosses of course. ;)
I knew you'd understand about non-compliant kids and meds. Why does it have to be so dang hard??

Andrea- oh wow- must have been a fun night, but that is a lot of kids!!! Hope that your head is better.
Y'know, I did see that briefly about the new scents... I know I have off the top of my head a Praline fragrance (not too crazy about it) but I think that is it. I'd live to place an order for some new scents to try... I have not had a chance to get to the shop I am selling at since school started. You gave the a kick in the butt last time, I think that could help again!
Let me see what stuff I can fine :)

Have fun with PSE 8! I have been thinking about asking for CS3 or 4 as a C-mas gift, but it seems so impractical.

My friend who I was babysitting for Friday night- that is where she was too, at the Bruce show LOL I am guessing Quinn is a big Bruce fan? I could never get into him- I am a Bon Jovi girl through and through!

Help yourselves to the coffee and bagels I brought :)

Gah!! I missed Sally!!! I didn't mean too- I swear!

You so rock!! I am so proud of you and your band. Of course you sounded awesome, how could you not??

Enjoy football today hon!

Good Sunday Morning Ladies!!

Well...I did sleep in until 8 today!! YAY!!

I am going to be quick...I have been in the gallery....WOW!! gorgeous pages over there!!

I have to get ready...and we are going to the pumpkin patch again today...I have to pat myself on the back for this one....Traci decided to take her kids to the zoo yesterday...and Sharon had other plans for today...so I went with Sharon and Cameran and Savannah to the pumpkin patch yesterday....and yes...I am going back with Traci, Jesse and Jaiden today!!! What I don't do for these kids!! of course you know I want to go see their reactions!!!

We so got lost in the corn maze yesterday...that thing is HUGE!!! we were in there for 45 minutes....and finally couldn't take pushing the stroller through anymore and got a "corn cop" to take us out!! LOL!! Cameran said "I had enough of going in circles"!!! CUTE!! He got to do all other activities...being a boy....the pumpkin blaster was his fave!! and then a hayride to get pumpkins...it was HOT though...it ended up being almost 80 degrees!! which BTW...no rain...could have had a yardsale....but the pumpkin patch was definately more fun!!!

Well...I am off...I need to get ready....I will be back later for personals!!

I love you all!!:p

Holey moley Chris! I had no idea you did that kind of stuff, for some reason I thought it was gift baskets...heck I don't know what I thought! If I had the $$ now I'd sooo be ordering! The cake batter ice cream, yummy...actually everything sounds yummy. There's nothing more relaxing than a bath with yummy smelling soaps...aaaahhh! I don't know why I never paid more attention to your business stuff :::shakes head::: I always go in Bath & Body Works and torture myself with the yummy smells but rarely buy. I'm a nut for anything chocolate or like hot cocoa LOL. You've definitely peaked my interest! Your stuff would be awesome gifts, too. You don't put green tea in anything do you? Amanda is highly allergic and it seems like that stuff is in everything now, LOL. hmmm I'm thinking Christmas is right around the corner...... :).

LindaW-the pumpkin patch/corn maze sounds like a blast. Would you believe I've never been to one?! There are several around here and I might just do that one day with Amanda :). You've inspired me! I'm so happy you had fun with everyone!

Hi Linda! It was an amazing layout, wasn't it?! She's a doll that Chris :).

Andrea-let us know how you like PSE8, that's on my *need* list LOL.

Sandra-Hi! Hope you have a great day :).

Merkee-I'm praying for your DH, it's sooo hard right now finding jobs.

Ona-I forgot to tell you, Davy is doing fine, funny & silly as ever :). She is loving having me at home, getting spoiled even more if that's possible!

Love and hugs to everyone! DH and I are going to watch a movie today he wants to see Zombieland LOL.

Ok...update from me...LOL!!! No pumpkin patch today....Traci said she could not get the kids in bed until after 2 am...GEEEZZZ...so they were both cranky today..so we will go another day...and my date was already cancelled for today...boo!! but....I cancelled because I want to go see the new comedy that comes out next weekend "Couples Resort"....so we have made a new date next Sunday!! and I will probably go Saturday with Traci to PP....so ...it's cleaning for me today...DH and I just got home from breakfast and Target....we went to Bojangles...and someone asked me last week what Bojangles was....I forgot to respond...it's a Chicken place like KFC...but they serve breakfast too...all day....and their specialty is cajun chicken. I am going to do a little work now...and when I take a rest, I will spread some love to you guys!

I just sat down with some lunch... we've been to Walmart this morning to buy a present for Piper's best friend's birthday... then we headed over to the Aldi grocery store across the street... OMG, I was amazed... normally we spend $130-$150 on groceries a week... and we always shop at Walmart... this week, we spent just under $100... plus $6.00 was used to buy their canvas-reusable shopping bags... they charge you 10 cents each for plastic bags at Aldi and 6 cents for paper... so the reusable ones pay for themselves... I got ALL of my groceries except for the milk and a small bag of oranges in those 3 bags... they're HUGE! so I'm very happy... except for personal products like shampoos/conditioners, toothpaste and stuff like that we will NOT be shopping at Walmart anymore... not when I'm saving $30-$50 a week by shopping at Aldi...

okay... I gotta get Matthew down for a nap... he's NOT a happy camper... hope everyone's having a wonderful Sunday!

Chris you never did answer me about dessert smells for body wash/spray. Or maybe you did and I just didn't stop by that day. Lately I want something that smells like cake. I know I'm weird.

I was just thinking about this, Andrea, (I love scents like this, too)....I think maybe we just wanna smell good enuff to eat...and it is cal-free. I sure could use a big slice of chocolate cake...like triple layer with chocolate icing and shavings...yummy. Somehow that doesn't sound cal-free though LOL.

Hmm...I'm gonna have to check out Aldi's...maybe tomorrow. We've been spending way too much since the cost of everything went up. There's an Aldi's about 30 miles from us, can't wait to check it out :). I'm happy you posted this, Sandra!
