Oh no I did not just type in AUGUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best thing about that.....VACATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are on day two of Rain....oh and much needed rain!! With all the high temps for so long, everything is very dry...we have had a lot of downpours, storms, but not really enough rain to keep things from looking so brown and dead!! Down where Traci lives, there has been NO rain at all in weeks....it looks really bad that way...no green anything!!!! Sharon's In Laws live 5 minutes from Traci's and they said they haven't even mowed their grass in two months now!! SOOOOOO THANK GOODNESS FOR THE RAIN!!!!

Managed to clean some yesterday....did my grocery shopping....and picked up my little Jaiden in the evening to spend the night...she may be MY grandaughter, but I swear she is the sweetest little thing!!! SO HAPPY.....She turns two on the 12th....hard to believe!!! She is talking up a storm. So right up until 10 last night she was just chattering away!!! And she is so stinkin girlie!!!! None of our girls were all that girlie...they liked their barbies and such, but they were rough and tom boyish.

Okay....enough rambling on....

Who is doing what today??? Hopefully some of you will have time to pop in and say hi!!!!

I miss everyone!!!

I am not doing anything much today...a little laundry and playing with the grandbaby!!!
 
Good morning Nana Linda! Sounds like you've had a good weekend so far. And I know that you've got the countdown going on now for vacation! :-)

We had a busy and full day yesterday but it was great! My nephew's team won the Iowa High School Baseball Championship yesterday. He had so many family members there to watch that it was great fun. And then, after the game, we waited for them to come out to get on the bus and his 3 oldest sisters were waiting for him. I've got some great photos there! Looking forward to putting those into layouts!

Then, we went to the Italian Festival in the afternoon and again in the evening. Great food being served so that's how we ate our lunch and supper. It was being held on a bridge downtown and so the kids enjoy! All-in-all, it was just a beautiful day.

This afternoon, I think that we may begin doing some school shopping today. Ugh...
Wish I had that vacation to look forward to Linda!
 
Good morning to my two fav Lindas :)

Yesterday turned out to be one of those days where I feel like I got nothing accomplished. I kinda spent the day spinning in circles.
It was sooooo great to see my roomie and her kids and new dh and the new baby. OMG! The little is just beautiful!!!!
This is the baby that was preemie and had some health issues but she is just perfect! She is 2.5 months and 7 1/2 lbs- so teeny.I took a bunch of photos and I hope to get them dwnlded today. My kids and my roomies kids get along great even though it has been 3-4 years since we saw them last. I adore my roomies new dh. Her 1st husband was an a-hole. I haven't seen her this happy in ... I don't even know!
Her dad even stopped by to see me - he hasn't changed a bit in the 20+ years I have known him too. Josie and I met in 1986! Gah!

So scared that it is officially August. We go back to school Sept 2 and I know it is going to be here before I know it.

Staples was running a super offer- buy any back pack and get a GC for that amount. Cait needs a new backpack- her old one has wheels and won't fit in a locker. She wanted a messenger bag, so I was able to get her one online, free shipping and will get a GC to buy supplies.

Hope everyone is having agreat weekend.

Oh and rain-- we need rain so desperately too. Everything of mine in the gardens is just about dead. Its supposed to rain today so my fingers are crossed it is a drenching one.

Hey everyone!!

Oh how I miss everyone!! Looks like everyone has been missing everyone. Summer craziness. LOL!! Today was a hot busy day. Went to the zoon and they ended up having a military discount that let the fam in for free. Can't beat free with a stick. So we only did half the zoo and will go back later for the other half. Tonight I am going to see an old friend play in a band. That will be awesome. Tomorrow hopefully we will be going to Amish Country. I really want to show Ethan how the Amish live and maybe even find some amish to talk to so that he can ask them some questions about how they live differently and yet still appreciate life. Plus they have some awesome food. Hopefully we'll all get up and moving in the morning. That would be a miracle in itself. Wish us luck. Okay, I am off. I'll chat soon. Love you all.
 
Good Evening Ladies!!! Trying to keep up with life!! I agree Clara total Summer Craziness!! Never thought I would say this but I can't wait for school to start so I can organize my life!! hahahaha
